Sovereign

Sovereign by Bujairami opens with a fresh sweet citrus accord supported by a subtle herbal mint. The citrus has noticeable density and sweetness without becoming candied, while a dry woody base sits underneath from the start. The overall impression is clean, pleasant, and firmly within the Bleu de Chanel style. As it develops, the citrus and woods blend together into a dry woody-citrus profile. The citrus gradually fades while the woods become more prominent, and a mild amber warmth begins to emerge. The transition into the base is mostly smooth, although there is a brief odd characteristic in the musk that becomes noticeable during this stage. The drydown is the highlight of the fragrance. The woods continue to dry out and become increasingly crisp, eventually settling into a very clean woody profile. Any fuzzy texture present during the middle stages disappears, leaving a dry and refined finish. Longevity was excellent, remaining present through a full nine-hour wear. Sovereign is a high-quality take on the Bleu de Chanel DNA with an especially strong drydown. I do wish the texture had remained crisper throughout the wear, as some of the middle stages developed a slight fuzzy quality. The only other drawback was the somewhat awkward transition from the opening into the base. That said, no clone is realistically going to fully replicate the uniquely clean and refined musks that Chanel uses. Considering the quality, performance, and price, this is an excellent value. Great affordable perfume from Bujairami. It smells like bdc l'exclusif but more fresher and versatile. Great performance too!

It smells very cheap going on. It dries down better and smells less cheap but there’s still something to it that doesn’t go away. Cheap scents always have like a worn out bubble gum type scent to them and this has it in spades.

Here is my honest review for Fragrantica: Today I had the pleasure of testing out Bujairami Sovereign. It was a little bit of a rollercoaster with this fragrance lol. And I had the same experience with Seasons Drift a few weeks ago. In fact when I wore Drift some time ago, I really diden't like it too much.. I figured it might just be that particular DNA (Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusif). Fast forward to me wearing Soverign. This fragrance is STRONG. And I think that's part of the reason why the opening is so hard for me to take in. Right away you get hit with that Powdery musky note. Yes it's fresh and it smells good, but the musk in it so strong that it's almost a little off putting. In fact I could almost compare it to "armpit". Funny enough I had compared the musk in Drift to "dry drool". But stay with me things get better! 2/3 girls I was working with that day did not like this fragrance based on the opening. (But they did come around to liking it as it progressed) I've actually experienced this weird b/o smell before with Game of Spades No Limit, (a dupe of bad bunnys signature fragrance). After some time passed, either you start getting used to the musk or it simply starts to transform into something much better. I went from not liking it, to being interested, to wanting to keep smelling it xD. And it's actually not a bad thing that I keep wanting to smell it, because the fragrance literally lasted ALL day. Longevity was from 11am until 10pm! That's when I decided I had to go wash my arm off to stop smelling it lol. 11am to 3pm I kept getting occasional whiffs through the day. After that I didn't really notice the fragrance anymore until I got home. Once I was at my house and indoors, I started smelling it in the air again. Once I finally was in my room around 9pm, I kept smelling it coming off my arm... In fact even with a stuffy nose I could still keep smelling it. At this point I had to go wash the fragrance off because it was starting to give me a headache lol. Longevity 9.5/10 Sillage 8.5/10 Rating 9.2/10 Top Notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Mint Heart Notes: Ginger, Jasmine, Nutmeg Base Notes: Amber, Sandalwood, Cedar, Leather, Resins Main Accords: Amber, Woody, Powdery, Balsamic, Musky The Comparison: These were fun to compare. They are very different in the opening, and for a good part of the fragrance they remain this way. Towards the very end is when they finally start to become more similar to each other and surprisingly very much like BDC Edp! What a pleasant surprise. Sovereign has less of that "dry drool" smell as I mentioned earlier. It's musk is compared to some kind of armpit. But this weird note is gone in 30 minutes. It's a very 'special' kind of fragrance lol. Sovereign has a beautiful pressurized atomizer. Seasons Drift stands out a little more. It has more sweetness to it. I notice this become a trend in my comparisons to Bujairamis. The ME tend to have more of that familiar extra sweet smell, and they tend to project a little more. As is the case here with Drift. On the other hand Sovereign feels more "designer" style, with a little less projection. It feels more natural, and balanced. After about 2 hours Sovereign had started to smell more like BDC Edp, which I was very happy about. But Drift on the other hand, still had a weird musky smell. By 3pm, the fragrances had become something incredible. Drift had more of a powderyness to it, while sovereign had more of a citrus note to it. Surprisingly they are both performing the same, I thought Drift would be stronger since it feels more intense. Conclusion: I had a great time wearing Sovereign and comparing it to Drift. They are both solid picks, but I would 100% get Sovereign EVERY time over drift. It does everything a little better honestly. It just feels more natural and blended then drift. It has a little less sillage, but it lasts just as long as drift on the skin. I think I may have gone nose blind to it at some point. try them out for yourselves and see which one you like best if your unsure after my review. But I would get Sovereign after comparing the two directly. They're about the same price too so that really helps.

I'd say around 80-85% close to L'exclusiv , this ones a bit more minty compared to the OG but its def. a beast mode fragrance. On the dry down , thats where i smell the difference in quality. Where BDC L' gets more smokey and darker, this one keeps blasting the mint and sweetness. Redundant to own both? I wouldnt say so since this ones dirt cheap for pretty good quality. If you aren't too big of a BDC fan, I would just get this instead of spending $200-$300. But i'm a huge fan of this line, always appreciate the quality of Chanel so the OG is a must have for me. But honestly speaking, i bought almost 20 Bujairami, sold most and kept 2. This is one of them, worthy in my collection.
