Eau Triple Miel d'Angleterre

I bought the body oil version, so my experience is represented by the fragrance in that format. Miel d'Angleterre - English Honey. It's all there on the bottle. On the box. That's what one gets. English Honey. There is beauty in simplicity and here the concept blossoms, quite literally, with open arms for what it is. I bought this blind, which I usually do when it deals with notes I know I'll love, and when I went through the list of Buly's offerings, I knew I'd love this one. I love honey, I love the smell of beeswax and other animalic musks, especially ambergris (though this is not amber-y), so when a perfume promises such features, I'm usually on board. This didn't disappoint. I get sweet honey, maybe a whiff of clover, milky animalistic (and in my opinion entirely inoffensive) musk and beeswax, and a very (very) nutty, nearly toasted nut and cedar woods on my skin. Any day, but in particular on a cloudy, dreary or rainy day, should someone who smells of this walk by, and you by chance get a whiff, I believe it would be an instant boost, the way catching a whiff of some flower, but not knowing where it is. Nothing here in my opinion should ever offend anyone, and as others have noted it's not exactly a loud or complex, it's quaint, entirely pastoral, natural smelling, and comfortingly cheerful and a touch playful ; it wears its heart on it's sleeve. Absolutely beautiful, with what appears to be decent sileage at first, I can sense it around me after putting it on just my wrists and I keep wanting to sniff them. As a test, I also washed my wrists after with soap and I could still smell it after scrubbing and drying. The oil formula goes on nicely, it absolutely does absorb quick and become "dry", this is not a sticky oil blend at all, and might do well for light application to hair, especially for the summer after a shower. Additional kudos must be made for the brand's design, packaging and absolute showmanship - their large heavy bottle and cap for the oil makes for a very luxurious feeling product already, but the box that it arrived in was beautifully printed and decorated, for a shipping box, with an equally pretty printed paper and sticker inside holding together a bed of paper-straw which then held the actual oil box, which is also handsome, a post-card with a seemingly personalized greeting, another oil sample (that I had selected at ordering) and a scratch and sniff sample "deck" of their entire line, which is entirely unheard of. Considering the oil form of their fragrance, as well as the soap and lotions are not that expensive for a niche brand, this level of detail and gesture towards patrons puts so many other supposed high-end prestige and niche brands out there feeling cheap. Any of the line would make for stunning gifts.

At first it smelt faintly of honey, but the more overwhelming note was that of burning plastic. Not that I found it unpleasant, just wasn't really sure what to make of it at first. I let the alcohol evaporate a little and it soon transformed into a smokey, woody encompassing undertone. Am also not super familiar with wood notes so I also attribute it to not really identify what it was, not that it really was plasticky. The honey is wild and fragrant, not like the generic syrupy kind you would buy at the grocery store. Doesn't smell synthetic at all. Heady and intoxicating if you were to do a couple sprays, though I only have a sample that I dabbed on my wrists. There is a milky characteristic that doesn't have the full body of say a glass of cow's milk, maybe more like that of a small animal if you can imagine that. Like a field mouse nursing her babies adjacent to a beehive nested in a log on the forest floor. Sometimes I get a whiff of a particularly sweet glob of honey, like it's crystallized. It makes me smile. This perfume is what I think it would smell like if I were to drink milk and honey at a bonfire and I find it comforting. Probably a safe blind buy; I am new to perfumes but will definitely be using up this whole sample. Warm and cozy and agreeable. Has good longevity and probably good sillage, though it's more intimate on me.

I’m on my second bottle. I am a very sporadic perfume wearer, so the first bottle lasted me several years. I absolutely loved it: sits close to the skin, smelling like warm cake and pure honey candles with a faint woody note. It is not at all sickly or overly sweet. Powdery, kind on the nose ... However, my second bottle smells way less. Very disappointing. Could it be a reformulation?

Not a safe blind buy! It sounds like the oil is warmer and softer than the spray perfume version which I have. HARSH cedar and wax opening that takes a while to dry down; feels like I'm wearing a suit made of cedar chips held together with beeswax and perhaps a beehive is nearby. I love honey and appreciate the nuances in flavor and scent between regions and batches, so I was so excited to try this. I tried to love it, but whenever I wore it I kept thinking: what are these English bees feeding on? Buckwheat and eucalyptus in a lumber yard?? It doesn't last long on my skin without an oil or lotion base, so it gets better after an hour or so. Even then it's more astringent beeswax than honey. I like weird scents and I don't wear anything cloyingly sweet, so I'm glad it's not a fake sugar caramel smell like many "honey" perfumes. I like woody scents too, there is a wood shop in my garage, but this is just not enjoyable for me. Definitely try the scratch and sniff leaflets from this company to discover their other amazing scents.

This smells like the kind of honey from a glass pot with honeycomb you can only get at a small farm which requires you to drive at least 2 hours into the countryside to find, but mixed into a hot cup tea. The bees were definitely feeding on sweet flowers like lilies. Not cloying. Very photorealistic, there's nothing that smells artificial or synthetic here. Very cozy.

This fragrance is beautiful. I smell more of a nutty, "clothing" scent rather than honey. This fragrance is gentle, sitting close to the skin. If you like loud scents this will not be your cup of tea. If you like unique scents then buy this. It is a very unique smelling perfume that lasts a long time on clothing. I'd say it's an Autumn/Winter scent.
