Ash Flower

This was a blind-buy. Burberry uses almond and peach in their fragrances so well, and this is the reason I wanted Ash Flower when I saw the notes. Cool, aloof, introverted, powdery, it gives me orris root vibes from the start. It does smell ashy! Smells like both suede and leather too. You're in for a treat if you like almond! There's an intense green almond that really isn't dessert-like. It reminds me of unsweetened almond milk, not almond cookies or pastries. It becomes creamier as it dries down. Probably tonka kicking in making it creamier, yet not vanilla. It's not lactonic like other perfumes with "milk" notes. The almond becomes a bit nuttier in the drydown and blends nicely with tonka. Peach is barely there, just enough to uplift and balance the gloomy, ashy quality. Ash Flower isn't a fruity fragrance. It's mostly a gray, suede-like fragrance that is rather melancholy, kind of like La Pausa EDT (they are very different scents though--don't get me wrong!). Ash Flower is truly unique and should get more attention. While I might not add it to the masterpiece category, there's nothing else like it, and that seems like quite an achievement for a perfumer nowadays!

A contradiction in name, but not in nature. Ash should whisper of something charred, something brittle and undone, petals kissed by fire, fragile and smoke-stained. And yet here, there is no burn, no edge—only heat, unrelenting and syrup-thick, yet dehydrated and abrasive. It is dense, oppressive, it is the most sandpaper-like warmth that does not flicker but suffocates and scrapes, wrapping around itself in layers upon layers of sweetness that never break, never waver. There is no space for breath, no escape for air. The scent moves inwards, folding, smothering, cloaking... just unbearable.

Does not smell high end at all. Cheap designer-ish at best.

It’s the kind of fragrance that transforms as the hours pass, revealing layers you don’t catch at first. It lasted up to 8 hours on me, with the drydown becoming the most addictive part—creamy, cozy, and effortlessly luxe. At £295, it’s definitely a luxury buy—but one that feels worth it for what you get. It’s not hyped, not common, and that adds to its allure. This is a scent only true frag heads seem to know about—a rare, under-the-radar masterpiece that’s quietly disappearing from shelves. If you love finding gems before the world catches on—or before they’re gone—this one is for you.

Bought the perfume for the scent because notes looked fantastic. The packaging is really amazing stationary invite quality for a leather tie event. Then there is a leather tie that harmonizes with the note profile, a slightly nude bisque color, wrapped around the neck. Magnetic cap metal is etched with some art deco geometrics for a bit of a textural edge. The glass isn't quite baccarat like Celine bottles, though it's squared up and substantial. Won't bruise a toe if it slips out of a spray session handling. Not prone to break either. So, the initial few wearings were fresh cherry tonka intensivo. Gave it a chance. Took the lid off for a day. Left it alone for a week. Revisited it and . . . perfecto. Delicate almond, smooth and soft lactonic. A hint of sweet, wild grasses, and a sunset golden peach. Longevity is 6 hours or more on skin and days on cloth. Burberry baci di dama bonanza.

Don't know why this one isn't getting much love but it is such a creamy sweet airy almond with a twang of peach . The peach smells truly sophisticated. It's not your everyday bath and body works / Victoria secret type of peach. I do get the juniper berries which lends to the aromatic side. The saffron is beautiful it doesn't come off as too rubbery or anything. It's a creamy , milky , lactonic scent. The packaging is top tier. Love everything about this. Seriously it's beautiful and so under the radar.

Almondy sweet, sugary powder reminds me of so called Loukhoums, and caramelic scent that reminds me of Baccarat 540, with raspberry undertone.
