Burberry Sport for Women

BEAUTIFUL!! As I've mentioned in other reviews...about 95% of my fragrances are blind buys. And I've gotta say, this is my favorite blind buy in several months. (I buy 2-6 fragrances a month). This scent is more easily "described" by adjectives and emotions as opposed to using actual "notes." This is one of the few fragrances where I cannot pick out individual notes and in this case, that's a good thing. It's best described as a sunny, happy, summer, "bright," type of perfume. Very properly named. This actually smells almost IDENTICAL to a fragrance by Gap called "Sunshine" which for some reason is not in this database. I ordered the 3.4 ounce bottle of "Sunshine" by Gap on Ebay about 2 months ago and I liked it but there was just something "missing" shall I put it. It was a definite like but something seemed to be missing and therefore keeping it from being a love in my collection. (Although the bright yellow packaging for that one matches the scent much better than this Burberry packaging.) Anyway, as I said, this smells almost identical but whatever was "missing" from Gap Sunshine...this one HAS! It smells like a more expensive, better quality version of Sunshine. This one smells somewhat citrusy, I can somewhat smell the ginger I think...Idk, as I said...not a case where specific notes jump out at you. They all just work in harmony to create the final product that is "Burberry Sport." And I am in love! I should also mention that I got 2 compliments on my 1st day wearing this. Smells amazing and oh! Did I mention that this is the very DEFINITION of unisex?! This smells amazing and sporty...but not "feminine." Its most definitely wearable by a man. Scent Itself - 9.5/10 Longevity - If light handed...you'll get moderate duration of 4 hours or so. If heavy handed...you can get 7 hours out of this one. Projection - Again. If light handed...moderate projection at arm's length. If heavy handed...you can extend that to 5 or 6 feet projection. I'm on the heavy handed side. =) Overall Score - 9.5/10 I LOVE THIS! SAFE BLIND-BUY FOR SURE! NOW ONTO BURBERRY SPORT FOR MEN....BURBERRY HAS GAINED MY CONFIDENCE WITH THIS ONE! 2 THUMBS UP!

I used up my sample then missed it. I think this one is a unique gem, so I got a small bottle... Burberry Sport is a happy, sunny fragrance. This one is a good example of a textured scent that goes beyond what nature has given and presents a new experience! My impression is of a cool, almost powder-sand, sweet orange-honeysuckle. The flowers mix with this powdered orange to produce a really nice uplifting and energetic scent. Would be a good spa scent. The florals are very apparent but to me, not realistic, almost like a fun cartoon impression that supports the queen powdered-sand citrus. Maybe it’s the solar notes? Smooth, clean, and honestly is VERY close match to a wonderful creamy Olay shea moisture body wash that I need to track down again because it was my favorite! What a great layering combo that would be.... As for sillage and longevity, I had someone compliment this scent about 4 hours later so even though I thought it was gone the air was lifting it around me! Big yes to this and glad I snagged a bottle since they are getting harder to find. I’m reaching for this in the early spring and summer.

As much as I like this perfume, the bottle is a ridiculous, clunky monstrocity! Why isn't is sleek and aerodynamic, like anything of a sporty nature ought to be? Had to get that off my chest. On with the review. I typically do not like citrus or aquatic scents. This isn't really either of those, but it is definitely clean. The salt note seems to trick the brain into thinking the perfume is fresh and juicy. It's akin to the fact that tasting salt would activate the salivary glands. I think it's extremely clever. I think a man could wear this because it's a rather androgynous, "sporty," scent. The musk is not overbearing in any way. I hesitate to call this a floral because it's so heavy on petit grain and mandarine. I can smell a touch of honeysuckle, but I don't detect any magnolia on my skin. Strangely, this comes as an EDT yet sillage is better than most Burberry EDPs.

What does this smell like to me? Dove foaming body wash- and I adore that smell! Take the sweet aspects of orange, none of the sour, and mix in smooth honeysuckle, then make it airy. Soft, soapy, sheer/clean flowery citrus clean feel, nicely blended, and has the nicest smoothing billowy feel to it. Unique and hard to describe. I didn't feel the salt screaming at me like I expected. The next stage is sweet, citrusy floral whisper- wish the first hour of this extended out, but it becomes a very soft and lovely skin scent after that, fading out at around 4 hours. For a Burberry, it didn't last as long as I expected, but very lovely, clean soft- soapy citrus perfume. Possibly unisex I would think, for people who enjoy Dove shower foam and would like to extend that scent into their day. I can see this being a fantastic, clean, inoffensive perfume for the workplace.

Lovely fragrance, I have an original 2010 bottle courtesy of my mother who didn't wear a lot of perfume and gave it to me. Smells like thin cotton scarves and has a very 'fresh morning air' kind of smell on my skin, or maybe the smell of the sky just before it begins to snow for the first time when very fresh. Projection really fades in the dry down though, it's still definitely there but much weaker after about 30 minutes on the skin, although on a direct sniff it's still very present. Mine also has a bit of a weak tobacco scent after a few hours but I think that might be either my skin or the fact it was my mother's and I associate her with the smell of tobacco. A really delightful scent, I'd say best suited for late summer into autumn or a late summer afternoon.

I recently bought this perfume and I must say: I really like it!!! It is a lighter version of a "normal" Burberry perfume, but still very nice and therefore more suitable for daily use instead of only for the evening or something special ;) I can understand why some of the reviewers think this is "too musculine", because it does smell a bit woody, but that's just what I like about this perfume. A strong femine perfume! Although I like this perfume very much, I don't really understand the "Sport" in it... Normally a sportive perfume smells very light and watery. This perfume doesn't smell like this at all. Maybe that's why I like it some much :D

This is my new favorite fragrance! I feel like a sophisticated girl whenever I have this on me! I feel so classy. I'm actually kind of surprised about the notes mentioned here. As soon as I spray it, I never get the notes mentioned. It smells more like musk and powder to me but in a very very distinct way. I hardly smell citrus or floral on me when I have this on. It has good sillage but when sprayed on three areas of your body it becomes overwhelming, the scent is so thick on me. One spray on each pulse is already too much often. Regardless, I will definitely repurchase.

Was walking around the local shoping center would be this time last year near to valatines day. A staff member from a pharmacy asking would i like to smell burberry sport when was on offer for 20 euro so i had a smell and fell deeply in love with it so got a bottle for my self. Then only to find out it had for women on the bottom i was so sure it was for guys by smelling it. But still love it that much i do continue to where it i just keep it hush hush its for ladies. Vary freash and yet glam and last a good while for the day ❤️

The only reason I have this fragrance in my collection is because it was my mother’s eldest sister’s gift to her years ago. She used this as her work scent. It was one of the things that made me smile when her belongings were slowly returned to us. Overall, I think it’s an absolute gem and I hope to smell more fragrances that remind me of this. It’s a heartwarming way to keep both my Tita and mother’s memory alive. Gone, but never forgotten. Apparently it’s true that perfumes are also a great memorabilia of a person you love.

Absolutely great! Light at first and it gets a little deeper as it settles on my skin. Sparkling and spicy at the same time. Interesting and delightful. I can only guess, but this might be my summerfavorite. The interesting thing is, that even I think BS-effect has gone, it's still there. For example, i spray perfume at 5:30 am, and my colleague still can smell it at 11:30 am. So all I can say, this is very lasting type of a fragrance. I just can't smell it, maybe my nose got used to this...

This is a lovely spicy citrus fragrance with a lingering herbaceous woodiness. The lemon is a bit salty and the spice is a bit gingery. To me this sits in between Dolce and Gabbana's light blue (for the citrus and wood) and Twilly d'Hermes for the ginger. This fragrance has a mix of sweetness and freshness which is delightful for the warmer weather. It's only flaw is longevity - this scent needs reapplication after a few hours. Highly recommended for summer day wear.

I had this one few years ago, and decided to purchase it again. I really do looove this one!! It smells so intriguing, fresh, and clean. The scent makes me happy and confident. I'm definitely a salty perfumes lover, so that explains it. I also have a small batch of Wood Sage & Sea Salt from Jo Malone, and they smell very much alike, with a big price difference. So, for everyone looking for a dupe, there you have it!

I have two bottles and am thinking of getting a third. This is easily a forever fragrance. To me, this is what Kate Winslet should smell like before she leaves her home in The Holiday. Just for a sweet, pretty, lovely person. Wholesomeness and fresh air. Woolens and winter, also spring, summer, and fall. It's Burberry and it's just as lovely as all their fragrances I own.

mmm... i'm not so sure about this one. I keep trying to wear it to see if my opinion of it changes, but no luck. Everytime I spray it on I feel a bit "manly", because of the ginger note (which is all I get). The citrus in it reminds me of the perfumes my dad wears. There's no way I wear it and feel sexy or womanly. And It's too fresh for my taste.

This is a beautiful wake me up fragrance! When you first put it on it may come off a bit too strong and citrusy! However, give it 5 minutes to calm down! The smell is pure summer and clean and beach! Definitely getting the magnolia and salt, sand and the bit of zing in there once it settles! LOVE this! Really enjoying it!

So, I wore my Burberry sport today....and I have many times before...but today it dawned on me that Burberry Sport has a similar spell to DG Light Blue...Idk, maybe it is just me, but once it died down throughout my day...I couldn't help but notice that it reminded me of Light Blue!!! In any case..I LOVE THEM BOTH!!!!

Very cool, decent, fresh but still making some definite and obvious statement. A bit lighter on the skin than in your nose. Salt and ginger bring it a moderate spicy flavour. I like it and would get it without any hesitation.

it was a blind buy for me cuz my friend in australia he told me to pick up any gift so i chose it, turned out i really like it, reminding me of the sea (and somehow the chloride smell of the swimming pool hahaha) love it!

Lovely everyday perfume,different than others "sport perfumes" I know.Not too green,not too lemon-y I mean. Fruity and fresh,longlasting,for everyday and especially nice on Spring and Summer time.Enjoyable !

It becomes my favorite scent at the frist sniff and i feel crazy about it...so much love and like it and i dont think it is similar to "Armany code". Longevity is good,,,,,,Well done Burberry :)

i love this perfume and i saw it on sale for 20 euros. It was the 100ml bottle and im so regreted to not buy it at time....what a pitty! :(

It’s fresh and uplifting, when I sprayed it on myself I wanted to go for a run. Reserving this one for my morning workout routines.

I have just a tiny 2mil sample of Burberry sport and after using up my sample I'm going to decide wether I need a full bottle of it in my collection or not but for now I can say that I like it I see that boucheron quartre is among similar perfumes but as someone who boucheron quatre was her signature for a while and know it well,I have to say that when I first tried Burberry sport it didn't remind me quatre.they both have musky citrus floral skeleton but that's their only similarity.burberry sport lacks interesting powdery and fruity twist of quatre or it's great projection,though it's a good perfume in it's own place Burberry sport opens with orange and magnolia.fresh,bright and pleasant.I can't detect salt and there's just a hint of ginger.as it dries it becomes less juicy and more musky,woody On my skin,dry down is a clean,slightly soapy musky magnolia scent with a touch of woody notes to make it's orangey nuances a tad dry I'm recently very much in the mood of clean scents so no wonder I like it I'm glad that I don't pickup petit grain,salt or sea notes,they could make me hate it Longevity is about 4,5 hours on my skin but it's a very faint skin scent in most of it's life.sillage is moderate when first applied but unfortunately it doesn't keep it's potency even for an hour.after the first hour,it's a veryyyy faint barely there musky woody scent I don't think I'd buy it All in all it's easy to wear and good for daily use in spring and summer.it's not what I see as a sport fragrance.the term sport makes me think of an aquatic or a very citrusy scent but florals and musk add a feminine,lady like vibe aspect to sporty feel of Mandarin and cedar ❤❤❤ شروع پرتقالی،مگنولیایی داره که در ادامه پرتقال کمرنگتر میشه و عطر از حالت آبدار اولیه درمیاد و رایحه ای تمیز و مشکی،گلی خواهیم داشت همراه با رگه هایی از چوب.تو این مرحله ازش خوشم میاد و اصلا چیزی نیست ک با شنیدن اسم اسپرت تصور میکردم.نه آکواتیک هست و نه خیلی مرکباتی و ترش و تلخ.مگنولیا و مشک جنبه خانمانه ای به رایحه اسپرت طور پرتقال و سدر دادن نمک،نت های دریایی و برگ پرتقال روی پوست من خودشون رو نشون ندادن اگه قدرت خودشو حفظ میکرد احتمالا میگرفتمش اما خیلی زود درحدی ضعیف میشه ک بسختی ب مشام میرسه درکل عطر خوبیه برای بهار و تابستون،درعین روشن و تمیز و فرش بودن،خانومانه هم هست بنظر من هیچ شباهتی ب بوشرون کواتره نداره جز اینکه کلیات هردو مرکباتی گلی-مشکی هست

Una fragancia que puede llegar a ser muy interesante. Cítrica, algo floral y un poco verde, pero mínimamente. Un poco dulce en las notas medias,pero perfectamente soportable a cualquier temperatura. Es la típica fragancia " epetecible " que puedes poner a cualquier hora del día. Es lo suficientemente informal como para tenerla a plena luz del día, como para tenerla a media noche. El toque salino de salida y la mandarina pueden hacer pensar que es un perfume veraniego, pero la magnolia y el cedro, la hacen más densa y persistente . En resumidas cuentas , puede resultar un perfecto comodín, que a las adolescentes y a los no tanto, les encantará. Le encuentro similitud a CK one summer 2006 y 2010, A Burberry summer 2009 y a Emporio Armani él ( bote blanco )

I can see where people are coming from with the comparison to TM Alien. It has the same fresh-citrus-sweet-salty-white floral thing going on that Alien does. I would say though that the citrus in this is sharper and very clearly mandarin rather than just 'citrus' there is an ocean breeze undertone and sweet magnolia. It lasted quite a while for me on the skin and on paper, couldn't give an exact number of hours but more than three for sure. I actually quite like the bottle, which clearly puts me in the minority. It has a 'clean functional' look but the red inside makes it look juicy. I like it equally as much as Alien and I plan on buying a bottle of this sometime, rip-off or not it's substantially cheaper than the TM and a very nice scent.

This is nice - light and sweetly fresh. I'd think those who like Cool Water or Tommy Girl style fragrances would enjoy this. Smells like something I can't quite put my finger on during the dry down. I found the salt note unmissable. I took a long deep sniff of it from the crook of my elbow and I was surprised not to taste salt in my mouth at the end so it's definitely there. The salt note isn't strong or sweet or bitter, just different. Overall Burberry Sport is not particularly new or unusual but would be a good casual weekend fragrance. Re the bottle, yeah it's not elegant but the fragrance has the word 'sport' in the title. It's supposed to be modern and durable. I don't mind it as it fits the image of the fragrance.

The opening is so lively and energetic. The mandarin and ginger transiently remind me of Deep red but it then takes another turn. When you sniff deeply, the smell has a coolness about it that reminds of a brisk morning walk in cold weather, playing with the kids in the park on a cold autumn day or the rare instances of being happy and motivated to exercise in winter 😂 The floral heart has fresh magnolias and subtly sweet honeysuckles but is soon overtaken by a clean soapy white musk that rules the base. Very suitable for summer but I can also wear it for active sporty winter days. Sillage quietens quickly to a close scent bubble but longevity is on the better side of moderate.

Burberry Sport is an interesting one. On first spray I thought "hello orange-flavoured vitamin C tablets!" but that thought was quickly replaced by "great, now I'm stuck on a raft in the middle of the ocean, the sun is fairly beating down and I'm down to my last orange. Oh, for goodness sake, turn the solar notes down somebody!". However, this is a perfume and not a parched deserted island. There are flowers. Nice white ones. And cedar and musk too. I agree with some reviewers below in that it also reminds me of Alien. Whereas I found Alien too tiring, Sport smells clean and feels invigorating. Like!

This is a very clean citrus scent. Not a sharp zingy citrus but more of a soft sporty kinda citrus. The musk tones it down and makes it a softer scent. Its definitely a unique sport scent and its in a class of its own which i like. This is not a loud perfume like a lot of sport scents but its rather clean and subtle. I think that the ginger contained in this scent is what makes it stand apart from other sport scents. Very nice and non offensive :) The box had a nifty little removable rubber bracelet wrapped around it too. :)

I bought this because it was on bargain and I'm not disappointed at all! Very citrusy and salty. I don't really get the 'sport' aspect of this, I think it's just a very nice casual spring frag. It doesn't have a very powerful sillage, but it'll do. I'm not in love but very nice occasionally used. The bottle is stylish I think. It's not really 'me' but in some odd way I like it. Very futuristic and reminds me of some kind of future device or something. Though I have to admit it's not very sporty either...

Salty white floral linen. Very clean and fresh, like laundry and a sea side breeze, I love salt notes in fragrances! ⁠Longevity is not the best according to many, however I can still easily smell it after 6 hours. Sillage is minimal though most of the time. I got this for a steal. Very enjoyable for hot weather! Men can wear it, too, but honestly the male version of this amazing, too.

I got it as a birthday present from my boyfriend. At first, I hated it. The top note always causes me headache because it's too strong. But when it dries down, it becomes much prettier. I must say I love the base note. It's warm & sweet. The longevity is great. Even after shower, I still smell it. Not sure I'll repurchase it, but i'll be obsessed by this scent.

This is definitely a must have for those who like zingy, zesty scents. Its like sipping a fizzy ginger ale on the beach. You definitely catch the salty air, orange, and ginger. I also get a bit of white tea. It smells slightly different throughout the day in different temperatures too. Overall its a great scent thats very wearable for summer.

Really pretty inoffensive fragrance. Used to wear this to university all the time, iirc longevity was good with 2-3 sprays (this was 8-ish years ago, so don’t know if they have reformulated since then). Can def recommend this to someone looking for an everyday scent to feel clean and fresh with some fruit and floras mixed into it.

This is lovely! But this bottle! It really repells me :| The salty note is present. But I can smell it in the middle notes, together with beautiful delicate magnolia and petit grain. The first blast is all citrus. I agree with Puma, this scent is very musky. And lasts long! Nice one! Well done Burberry :)

Fresh, spicy, citrusy. This scent feels sunny & fun, and is quite unlike anything Burberry has done. The citrus quickly dries down to gingery, green cleanness, and sweet magnolia. I can definitely see wearing this while laying on a sandy beach or chilling on a boat. Love the bottle too. A summer must.

Es un perfume citrico-dulce, muy suave femenino me da la sensación de verano, fresco energético ! Es un perfume ideal para una cita o reunión formal ya que es muy sutil. Definitivamente me gusta lo recomiendo, la mandarina se siente y luego me da la sensación como de talco.

Have this scent from my oldest sister, she was OBSESSED with it so it really brings me back! It's fresh and pretty floral, inoffensive in the best way. Very lively and fun, pretty good to actually wear it to the gym.

I LOVE this. It's clean and sweet and just what I was looking for as far as scent. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long on me. Does anyone know a EDP that has a similar scent?

Fresh and nice. Not powdery at all only a freshness to it. Smells a bit plastic when you have just sprayed it but it gets better later. Good longevity on clothes.

This smell is so fresh and delicious. The 1st day I wore it to work I got complimented twice back to back. This smell lasts ALL Day!

Smells like a floral play-dough. Long lasting.

I actually don't like this, at all. Burberry is my favourite fragrance house, however with this new release I am rather underwhelmed. It smells synthetic to my nose, a little rubbery like the bottle it comes in. It's true that it smells like D&G Light Blue, which I don't even care for, however, (I can't believe I'm saying this), I'd choose Light Blue over Burberry Sport any day. Salty plastic is all I can smell in the opening. The mandarin orange barely features in my opinion. The scent tends to become more aquatic as it develops into the heart. The honeysuckle and Carribean magnolia aren't as floral as I had expected. They seem to be un-naturally sweet. Musk overwhelms me into the drydown. There's too much of it for my personal tastes. Burberry Sport ended on a headache for me unfortunately. The lasting power is incredibly good, as most Burberry scents are. I am extremely disappointed however that I have come across a Burberry fragrance that I don't enjoy, which was something I thought was never possible until today.

Soap in a bottle!!! This perfume is very fresh smelling. I choose not to purchase this because of the soapy component. It would be appropriate to wear if you are working out and want extra coverage in addition to deodorant.
