Garden Roses

On first spray, I did not like this, I detected something spicy, maybe even like saffron? It was giving oriental vibes for a second. But very quickly that faded far into the background and the rose came out followed by a somewhat slightly almond soap scent-the almond was not very sweet. The spice and the musk in the background keep the fragrance cozy but it still is a soapy rose in my opinion. There is also some lemon in there somewhere keeping the rose bright. The dry down is perfect. This is one of the rare fragrances that I find both fresh & clean AND sexy. Obsessed! It lasts long on the skin too but not cloying.

it's fine... just not what I wanted. Some bright grapefruit citrus at the very top and then generic rose and then nothing in the span of an hour. Edit: having recently smelled a fresh damask rose — thats what this is giving. I want something with a bit of musk and complexity at the end. This is very realistic damask rose though.

There is an initial citrusy punch which settles gradually into a mature floral. She stays true to her name, resembling the smells of gentle petals from a white rose splattered with pink. To tell the truth, I can't imagine anyone else but an older lady wearing this; someone refined yet welcoming, who would graze through windows blurred by spluttering rain at the vibrant specks of her flower garden lounging below hues of gray. edit: wow. I must say after a few hours this perfume feels almost transformed. the aggressive citrus has fully simmered down in favor for a fresh pear-like note. It's reminiscent of burberry her edt - one of my personal favourites. A delightful surprise that i just had to return in order to note down. + the atomizer of this bottle is exceptional as well.

This is actually a really good clean fresh rose; some might see it as generic but it's a popular theme afterall, and it's better than most! (My 3rd favorite from the line, but still not worth the $$)

Perfect balance of rose, white musk and lemon. There are green elements in the scent, but traceable to each mentioned green accord - lily of the valley, apple, vetiver (no black currant for my nose). However I don’t sense it green enough to be associated with garden. Really more like mentioned rosy musk and lemon cologne (but perfume strength). It lasts 8+ hours with a moderate projection. Texture wise feels slightly humid, like getting in the light drizzle (so British) in a wool jumper, which is sprayed with rose cologne previously - that wool more likely comes from realm of white musk and cashmeran. Daytime, unisex, appropriate for different settings, occasions and every season apart from cold winter, however, I assume it is strong enough to survive cold and continue to shine indoors. Would complement nicely perfume (cologne) wardrobe where there is not enough rose scents and clean musky scents. Slightly dreamy, cozy, yet put together and collected.
