Goddess Intense

Beautiful, Sweet, creamy, floral, woody, warm spicy, aromatic, earthy, feminine, sensual, seductive, chic, elegant, charming, whimsical, classy, sophisticated, soothing, inviting, alluring, cozy, comforting On me this opens with fresh and soothing lavender that stays intertwined throughout, and just a touch of vanilla. As it begins drying down the rich vanillas become much more prominent bringing a warmth, some creaminess, and adding some depth. Once it’s dried down the patchouli joins the lavender and vanillas adding to the depth with its woody and earthy scent. I own both the OG and Intense versions, and really enjoy both of them. However, I do prefer the OG, it’s actually one of my top favorites in my whole collection. The OG is slightly more gourmand feeling, and the Intense is slightly deeper with the addition of patchouli. I also find the lavender to be slightly softer in the OG compared to the Intense. I do prefer this one during the colder weather of fall, winter, and early spring. I get excellent performance with Goddess Intense. The longevity is great, it lasts throughout the entire day on me. The projection is very good, it radiates out at least a few feet from me. TLDR: It has to sit or "macerate" as the people say. I initially detested this. It smelled manly and like astringent or something. It gave me a migraine, and I was screaming, "WHERE are the vanillas??!". I was so upset because I used my accumulated birthday money to purchase a 3oz bottle of this disappointment. (The store's tester had time to mature, so the tester scent, and my freshly opened bottle, were totally different. I thought they sprayed the wrong one for me, until I verified later.) I was on the verge of searching for a buyer, but in that time, It got to sit. I sampled it every few days, and now, about a week and a half after buying it, It smells way less manly, and the vanillas are more prominent. It still has a way to go, but I'm so glad I didn't waste my money. The scent lasts way longer on cloth than on skin, and longer than the original version lasted on my skin. Lasts about 24 hrs on cloth, max on skin is maybe 12hrs, but by then the scent will be very light. Most ppl around me don't smell it in the air like an hour or 2 after I spray it on me, unless they're really close to me. but it's always clear to my nose. It's more of a scent for close quarters. Good for a date! It makes me very happy and I keep wanting to smell it!

I am absolutely obsessed with this fragrance. First of all, it feels like what I want Libre Intense to be, because I love the fresh and strong lavender note, but Goddess Intense lacks the floral heady quality that can make Libre overwhelming for me in certain situations. The lush stack of vanilla is so yummy, so rich, there is a really interesting depth to this that comes across as luxurious and sexy, there is a sweetness but not sickly so, more caramel not powdered sugar like so many new vanilla fragrances. The patchouli is pleasant for me and never overpowers, and it adds a nice dry spice to the sweet drydown. There is something about this fragrance that smells of cocoa butter to me too, which comes out more in the drydown as well. I can smell it for a long time, but I don't see this as something where you are going to overpower a room, it stays pretty close to my body like a warm golden cloud. When I first wore it my husband laid in bed next to me at the end of the day and said I smelled so good, like churros haha! Lastly, if there are any fans out here of Lush's Sleepy lotion, Goddess Intense really reminds me of that, which is what instantly attracted me to this fragrance on the first spray.

I got this by accident. I thought I was purchasing a travel size of OG goddess on Mercari but it arrived as...Intense. I was disappointed because I had smelled it at Sephora and thought it was similar enough to Goddess that I didn’t need this one too. But honestly...it grew on me! It’s sooo sexy. It’s like 85 degrees out and humid and it still smells so nice without being cloying. It’s got all the nice vanilla vibes without being cheap or overwhelming. The lavender and patchouli really balance it out without taking center stage. Like the OG goddess...it is blended to perfection. It smells like someone’s going to really enjoy cuddling up next to you and nuzzling into your neck to catch whiffs. I could see it being a date night fragrance, whether you’re going out for a fancy dinner or staying in to Netflix and chill. It’s definitely a “you smell good” perfume and not a “you smell like you’re wearing a strong perfume” perfume. It smells luxe and expensive while also being grounded and chill. It’s real hot girl sh*t...but for the woman who doesn’t have to prove herself because she knows she’s a 10.

Burberry Goddess Intense is darker & boozy from the start, with the patchouli coming through pretty quickly alongside the bourbon. There is also a sprinkling of lavender over the richness, to prevent it from becoming overbearing.There's a hint of powdered white florals boosting up the increasingly powdery lavender, but none of them are strong enough to stand out above it. The vanilla absolute develops slowly making the fragrance a bit sweeter, but not overly sweet thanks to the bourbon & addional woody tone, which I'm not sure how to describe - kind of balsamic, but also buttery smooth and with a touch of treacle. Over the hours the woody vanilla blend becomes smokier and a slightly more earthen undertone becomes more apparent behind the bourbon & patchouli, which I'm guessing is the 'vanilla caviar'. Burberry Goddess Intense definitely packs a punch; this will wear for the entire day and it never becomes a skin-scent. Very happy with my purchase and I'm delighted that you can buy refills for it. This ticked all of the wants I've been looking for in a vanilla-based fragrance.

Kind of a weird story with this one. My husband was at work and his manager pulled out a travel size of OG goddess and applied it. "What is that? My wife would love that one," he said. She sprayed it on a card and he liked it so he came home and told me about it. I looked up the notes and, look at that, it's payday so off I go! But I chose the Intense one because vanilla is life. And while, lavender isn't everyone's favorite in this household, I liked the dry down and more vanilla, more, more, more. Patchouli in this was nice too. Like the earth in the lavender field. But it isn't this body spray vanilla that screams cheap buttercream.... It's this layered and lasting vanilla that seems more rounded and genuine than harsh bath bomb and icing type vanillas. It feels luxurious. This got me out of my frag slump. I enjoy this one a lot and once again, I'm not buying summer frags and drawing towards comfy cold weather scents. I need a bright aquatic to even my collection out!

Ah, Burberry Goddess Intense - the fragrance that divides families, ruins friendships, and sends perfume purists into existential crises. While the internet rages about how it’s an unwelcome departure from the original Goddess, I’m here to tell you the truth. Picture this: You’re holding the original Burberry Goddess, a delicate, sweet, vanilla-infused angel in a bottle. It’s beautiful, sure, but... a bit too nice. Where’s the drama? Where’s the chaos? Then along comes Goddess Intense, strutting in with a smoky vanilla trail that smells like a forest witch hosting a dessert buffet. The vanilla here is deeper, darker, and honestly, just sexier. There’s lavender in here too, but instead of being a soft lullaby, it’s a spicy slap to the face. Smoky woods round it out, making you feel like you’ve just left a wild party in a magical forest where someone was probably summoned. This fragrance is unapologetic, and so am I for loving it more than its mild-mannered sibling.

The first spray I tried in the store was very misleading, and at first I didn’t like it. However, when I took a tester home and tried it on my skin, this perfume became an absolute must-have for me. I am Caucasian, and on my skin, it became ten times more long-lasting, staying on me for almost 24 hours. It transforms into something entirely different and captivating—evolving from a fresh, wannabe-yet-overwhelming vanilla into a feminine, cool, rich, and bossy vanilla. It also has just the right amount of booziness, with patchouli being a great complement to the lavender opening. To me it also has a bit of citrussiness. Everyone who smells it on me refuses to believe it’s a designer perfume. So yes, on its own it might not be the best option, the chemistry with my skin is incredible. Thank you Burberry! I wish you could also come and smell me with this on.

I really enjoyed this and did more so than the OG Goddess. At first spray, it was lavender and patchouli for me but the lavender wasn't as sharp as it was in the OG, which was what I disliked most about it. After a couple of hours, the vanilla starts to emerge and sweeten the lavender while the patchouli takes the backseat—it reminds me of the lavender syrup used for lattes. At around the 5-hour mark, it's still lavender and vanilla but sweeter and almost boozy to me. After about 7 hours, the lavender fades and the patchouli comes back to the forefront alongside the vanilla. It's sweet and herbaceous for the rest of the wear. The longevity for this is spectacular, easily lasting 10 hours on me. The sillage is reasonably strong as well because someone entered the room where I was (about 30 minutes after having sprayed it on) and said I smelled good.

Finally, an Intense version of a designer perfume that doesn't just dial up the candy and caramel. The Intense version of Burberry Goddess is a more mature, thoughtful and sensual fragrance that is worth the price (it's not even that much more than the original), as well as able to hold its own next to more niche offerings. It opens with almost a liquid lavender - think lavender liquor - mixed with vanilla essence. It has a piquancy in the opening that the original doesn't, making it less of a cloud and more of a cocktail. Whist definitely sweet, it's not saccharine. Especially in the opening I find it very addictive and unusual. It's the texture of molten gold. As the journey continues, it becomes creamier against the skin, and exotic florals can be detected amid a base of patchouli, amber woods and musk. I love this one.

I think they're both beautiful fragrances but personally I enjoy this one better than the original, it's more unisex but still leaning feminine and I feel there is something more magical in the intense version, there is also more dimension and it tells a story like a goddess evolving while connecting with nature. On my wish list for sure. Edit; So I finally purchased Goddess Intense and my oh my is it a grand perfume, a statement piece In my collection, Original Goddess is the younger sister while the Intense is the older more confident sister who attends beautiful high end events like at a 5 star hotel drinking champagne and eating expensive caviar with gold cutlery and perfect white linen tablecloths and flower arrangements with lavender in them, and we can't forget the exquisite vanilla deserts of course.

I've tried all three Burberry Goddess iterations (OG EDP, Intense, and Parfum), and the Intense is my favorite, hands down. The OG is pleasant and breezy, but weak. The Parfum is a beast, but the suede note ruined it for me; all I could smell was a syrupy sweet raspberry pushing against smoky leather, like the stale scent of a fruity cigar lingering in a biker bar. The Goddess Intense, however, is stunning! The lavender plays so well with the vanilla: floral, herbaceous notes comingle with the comforting, creamy scent of vanilla done four ways (the bourbon vanilla is the standout here, providing a tantalizing, boozy punch). The patchouli in the drydown gives off a light earthy vibe that tones down the sweetness of the heart notes. I can't get enough!

This is beautiful, And I loved it right away! Very underrated. It’s not a gourmand, This is a luxurious, Dark Vanilla. The Lavender is prominent, And it is the more herbal, Realistic type, Not soft. Which lends the scent a cool mentholated accord, A nice contrast to the deep woody Vanilla. Anyone that dislikes Lavender will most likely not enjoy this perfume. I also pick up on a cocoa note, Which makes everything even better. No coffee, And definitely not a Coffee Break “dupe”. I don’t find it masculine on me, But it could possibly be unisex. Great performance, Especially the projection. Won’t compare to OG Goddess, As I don’t own it, Went straight for this instead because it sounded more interesting, And it was 100% worth it!

This is, unexpectedly, a favorite vanilla for me right now. The original is lovely - very clean and not babysweet but borders at times on clean laundry in the way that cashmeran sometimes can. THIS is smelling at the moment like nothing else, vanilla-wise. Not really woody, not really treats-y, not really ambery, not really milky and not terribly sweet. It's got a super elegant earthiness - almost camphorous but in a tempered, interesting way. Softly aromatic verging on wet/green here and there. And then just beautiful layered vanillas. Not particularly complicated but still complex - know what i mean? Simple but sophisticated. Rich and shining. Someone below said "molten gold" and i feel like, yes!

I don't understand the hate on this either. It's true that it opens up with a very strong aromatic lavender like you just entered into a lavender field but that only lasts 5 minutes if that...then it becomes a very creamy beautiful vanilla (like the one in the original) plus mildly sugared patchouli and subtle spicy lavender lingering in the background. I don't mind the aromatic opening because I like fresh aromatic herbs in reality anyway and I also love the dry down, nothing wrong with it. I disagree this is masculine, it's just a little more aromatic in the beginning, that's all. Everything is well blended, uplifting, they have a done a good job on this flanker in my opinion.

Ok, she's pretty. That Lavender and Vanilla give it a playful femme, Chemise a la Reine running through a field of flowers as she's being chased by her man but, then once the patchouli walks in as it warms up adds that sophistication to it. Don't yell at me but at first it reminded me of a scent from the 90s involving my Granny. I think it's her old Lincoln that was filled with hostess cakes along with her perfume at the time so that's what throws me off a bit because it then puts granny on the brain. If I push that aside I love this for the imagery vibes I get and can also appreciate having that reminiscent memory attached to it. I think I may get a bottle of her at some point.

This wasn’t easy on me at first I was shocked how harsh it was specially wehn I first got it in the summer,after a long walk things started to change and i start getting more compliments (what are you exactly wearing?) and I asked why and someone I know said it really fits your personality very daring and dominant! The day two i can still smell over wehlming my Garderobe the clean lavender note was clear to my nose and i find it harsh and masculine to me then a very pleasent elegant vanilla came to brake all the sharp smell that i didn’t want at first and patchouli as a final touch I surrender I am in love from the second sniff but I will keep it to my winter collection for sure

Smells like windex upon the initial spray. Vanilla windex. So bad that I feared I got a fake that was diluted with alcohol so I bought a travel size to compare and nope( that’s just how my nose reads this scent. But then it dries down into this sparkly, spicy vanilla. My husband is nose blind to so many perfumes I wear but when I wear this one he really enjoys it. Longevity is amazing. It lasts all day and I can smell it for days on clothes. I enjoy the og goddess as well so I have both. In my opinion you can’t go wrong with these if they work for your nose and body chemistry. Easy to reach for everyday any weather. Layers great with bare vanilla lotion from Victoria secret

This kicks ass wow what a difference between the OG and this I have a bottle of the OG and I rarely use it it isn’t what this one is what I wanted all along when the OG was released lovely clean lavender and smooth patchouli blends so well honestly I think the original should have been the intense and this the original because on dry down it turns luminous and light just beautiful so I tried this today and this is basically lavender vanilla done so well probably the best I’ve tried and I love it bought a large bottle straight away what more do you need to unwind on a winters day or night so Zen and relaxing like a room full of beautiful lavender vanilla candles ❤️

Blind bought this based on the lavender and woody notes, but I couldn't wait for it to arrive so I went and smelled it in store. I started with the original version and although I did love it, I found it very one-dimensional, but nice. Then I smelled the Intense and... I fell in love. The lavender is very prominent for a few minutes, but then it settles into a warm deep vanilla and the lavender only comes out here and there, but it's very soft. I honestly don't smell the patchouli much, but it might just mix that well with the vanilla. Definitely not a gourmand scent in my opinion. It's a slightly boozy, spicy vanilla - a warm sweater in a bottle.

This is much better than the original. I tried on both and there’s no comparison to me. This is luxurious, rich, beautiful and delicious and I’m really surprised at all the negative reviews. The original is lighter and smells like it has more of that generic “designer” fragrance dna. I get more vanilla in the intense version. I kept smelling this throughout the day and going “wow” at how delicious it is. the patchouli and lavender are so well blended with the vanilla. Interestingly, I find kayali vanilla 28 and SC sweet tooth caramel to be way more of a patchouli bomb than this fragrance. They don’t hold a candle to this. I’m really impressed.

This scent smells so good! I've never been a fan of sweet and vanilla type of perfumes, but this one hits different. I can't stop smelling my wrist when I tried it! I have no regrets of buying this perfume. It's not the suffocating overly sweet type of vanilla scent that we use to smell like la vie est belle. That perfume gave me headaches for hours. The initial spray of this perfume is strong, I repeat strong. Avoid over spraying especially if you live in a hot and humid country. Dry down is when it gets it's strong feature. The smell is addicting. Hopefully this perfume doesn't get a new formula in the future.

I much prefer Intense over the original Goddess. This version has exactly what the original lacks, it’s sweet, dominant, and fresh all at once. Unlike in many fragrances where patchouli can feel heavy, here it adds a warm and earthy depth that perfectly rounds the sweetness. The longevity is impressive. In colder weather, I find that 1–2 sprays during the day works perfectly, while I usually do 4-5 sprays in the evening. I love pairing it with L’Occitane Almond Body Oil, which enhances the fragrance and makes it feel luxurious. Overall, this is a fragrance that feels confident and elegant.

As someone who adores vanilla, this fragrance is just absolutely delicious to me. The many notes of vanilla create a rich, creamy, yet a deep creamy scent that reminds me a lot of White Chocolate. The lavender and patchouli I dont smell as much, but they balance out the sweetness and add spice to the fragrance. Sprayed this intense one on my hands and could smell it hours later, same goes for my shirt, the dry down on my shirt becomes a soft vanilla, though projection and sillage...nott amazing, but being able to smell it myself is already such a mood booster to me.

I apparently am an outlier because the OG made me repell and this one was was an instant love. To my nose it is a beautiful non sweet vanilla with a faint lavender that is warm and sultry. Most other vanilla scents feel a bit immature because of the sweetness to me. The spray on the paper lasted over a week while I waited for my bottle to arrive. I'm ok with this one not being everyone's favorite, as I would rather not smell like everyone else. I will definitely stock up if they ever discontinue this sexy juice. It's a love for me.

I always get compliments when I wear this perfume. It's nostalgic, warm, sexy and womanly. A scent perfect for autumn or cold winter nights as it makes you feel warm inside. Perfect for date nights. You get the lavender on the opening but oh, the drydown is a mature, rich and creamy vanilla but without being overpowering as it allows other notes to shine. It's like a milder version of YSL Libre Intense, which I also love. Just beautiful and evocative. My new signature scent.

When I first got my tiny flacon, I hated it. Months later, it’s become my comfort scent, the one I wear to bed or when I can’t decide on anything. I think it gets better with time, at least the heady sharpness in mine has evolved into a creamy puff. It’s still quite sharp, tangy even, but on its own way, like petrichor. Yes, it smells like petrichor. And also like brandy. I smell something I very much love, it’s nostalgic and dreamy. Might as well be the patchouli.

I second OceanOphelia‘s comments below, except I still love the OG but in warmer months for a lighter vanilla. I disliked the intense when I first got it a year ago and I’ve since rediscovered it this year and holy moly! It’s all I want to wear. It gives a white chocolate feel to me alongside the vanilla. The lavender is also toned down and as someone who isn’t a huge patchouli fan, this is absolutely fine on my skin. Can’t wait to try the new Amber flanker!

I loveee this perfume. This is a beautiful aromatic vanilla. I love that the perfume dries down to a pure and sweet vanilla, but not overly sweet. I was looking for a "classy" and sweet vanilla and I found this perfume - exactly what I was looking for. The vanilla in this perfume stays on my skin and stands out to me more than the original. I really enjoy it! I love strong perfumes so I wish it was super strong but still love it. 9/10!

Something weird happen to me with this scent. I hate the opening because lavender is a note that I don't like at all. Then, I find very very unisex the mix with patchouli, so i am not sure if I like it... but as the minutes went by, lavender and patchouli dissappear. Puf! Gone! And it remains the most warm and cozy vanilla and I just adore it! It is intense, very very good longevity and perfect for autumn and winter to feel so cozy! 🫂

This is what I look for in an intense version of a perfume. This takes the same DNA and amps it up 1000%. You have to like vanilla and patchouli to appreciate this fragrance. I think its a wonderful version of the original goddess. If you are spraying it in the store and you are only getting a sickly sweet vanilla...step outside and then smell it again. I promise you that you will get the original dna in such a gorgeous way.

If you like patchouli, then you'll love this. I own the original version, and I feel that this one is exactly as described - "intense". The projection and longevity are outstanding. The lavender takes a back seat in this version; you can smell it in the initial spray, but in the dry down, it's all about the vanilla and patchouli. I think the OG is wearable all year round and this one is geared more for fall/winter.

While the original was likable but nothing special IMO, this one is weird, addictive and different. Not a safe blind buy, yes the lavander is kinda sharp in the begining but after 30 minutes starts the magic. All the notes come together to a lovely deep vanilla with a touch of aromatics and earth. I thing they did a great job with this flanker. Looking forward to a summer version 🥹

I already have the og one. Such a love. The intense, I just sample this from the store and surprisingly I love them both. I’ve read many reviews about this intense version and many people hate it. But all l can describe this perfume is a rich, gorgeous vanilla. The woody that is more than the og version just makes this perfume performance better and deeper. Love both version!

I love this perfume. All i smell is vanilla and it lasts a while. I prefer the intense to the original. The original smells minty to me. I almost did not get the intense because so many people hated it in reviews. But I get lots of compliments . I would say wait for the dry down. But I sprayed mine a couple time and let the bottle sit and now it's just straight up vanilla

Initially I did not like this at all. Around 12 months of oxidation and a more educated nose had me giving this another go to compare it to the newer Parfum. I really like this now! Admittedly, needing 12 months to improve on the shelf isn’t ideal, but now I love her. She’s a deeper more wintery version of the OG. (The OG is one of my go to summer vanillas!)

I've never been 100% satisfied with any perfume. But this fragrance changed everything. I love every note of this, can’t stop smelling it. It’s very uniqe and probably not for everybody. Levander is strong at the beggining but beautiful and dry down is amazing too. This is my signature scent for a while and probably forever. Definitelly repurchasing !

When I first bought this I loved it and then something happened and didn’t want to use it but I had 2 bottles then one day I just started wearing it for everyday use and now it’s my signature scent every time I wear it people love it apparently it smells expensive so I just bought another bottle it’s a keeper suits my body chemistry for sure a lioness

got this as a sample and wasnt that impressed at first but its definitely grown on me and i get compliments when i wear it. i usually stick to light floral scents but this is a good change from my usual choices and somehow still feels like a safe buy. its also a very versatile fragrance i wouldnt associate it with a specific season or night/day.

I like this perfume, but not every day, and I also understand why ppl don't like this perfume. It is a very clean and very dominant fragrance. Yes, it is a vanilla fragrance, but it is not a yummy vanilla cake fragrance. It is not gourmand and also not a playful floral vanilla. It is a businesswoman type of sharp, straight forward scent.

I dunno why this is getting so much hate online. Feels like a true "intense" version of the O.G. As I spend more time with it, I reach for it more, including layering it, which I didn't do with the O.G. until recently. I do miss the ginger from the O.G., though. I think they can make great day-to-night partners if you like both, as I do.

I have the OG and got a sample of the intense. I like them both. The intense is in the same time darker, but creamier. It starts dark, but then comes a very nice, creamy vanilla. I don't get the patchouli despite I hate patchouli. The OG has a very good cloning - Angham (even better than the OG). I wished the intense has also one.

I don’t think someone who is just getting into fragrance will give this the appreciation it deserves. This smells high end and luxurious. I agree that it is a bit abrasive in the opening but when this dries down what a beauty! It’s fresh yet buttery at the same time. I recommend to anyone wanting a sophisticated vanilla.

This is my new favorite. I am absolutely in love! I could tell how this wouldn't se some people's cup of tea, but I find it inebriating. I can't stop smelling my wrist when I wear this. I'm not too good at describing perfume notes in the poetic way that other people do, but I just had to express my love for this scent!

Quite similar to the OG in my opinion, but just slightly more lavender and vanilla heavy throughout and without the prominent ginger note. Again, like with the OG this blends freshness and gourmand so beautifully, and the vanilla is so creamy (almost vanilla ice cream) which is divine.

What I visualise when I smell this. Wax jackets, on a warm but rainy day, straw from horse boxes and long leather riding boots and hot dogs cooking on a BBQ at an English country show. I wasn’t too keen on this at first but now it’s smoky loveliness has become addictive.

asked for this for christmas after testing it every time i went to sephora. i love this perfume, i live in really cold areas so its so cozy for winter and a good date night/special occasion perfume. i find it a bit too basic for every day wear but that’s personal pref

My very favorite. The best I describe it it’s like I’m wrapped up in a warm comforting soft blanket. I’m actually glad it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, it just just makes this that much more special to me. Every time I wear it I can’t keep my nose off from my arm lol

oh my god I’m obsessed. first off I HATE burburry goddess original, overrated and plain boring. take the OG lavender and vanilla dna and add patchouli and a super boozy vanilla, HEAVEN. I want a bottle so bad, can we make a beast mode affordable dupe, I beg!!
