Bvlgari Man Extrême All Black Editions

THE DESERT CACTUS FRESHNESS This perfume (it's an EDP concentration) opens soberly, but not softly, even a little forcefully, with strong citrus notes (aromatic bergamot and tangy, bitter-sweet bloody grapefruit) and the desert cactus-juice scent that is this fragrance's signature. This initial roughness settles down after half an hour if you wear it outdoors, or an hour if you wear it indoors and on your clothes... or any time in between. The cactus note is quite persistent and reveals its true green and herbaceous character in the heart. It's there that it remains dominant, blending with cardamom, freesia, amber and leather. This note (cactus) becomes softer with time, but still lingers until the bottom notes emerge, blending with a vanillic benzoin, a refreshing Haitian vetiver and vaguely woody notes. The dominance of the cactus note and the blending of the different accords make this fragrance unique, fresh and soothing. Longevity, sillage and projection are average, as expected for the notes used, but I had hoped for a better performance from this concentrated eau de parfum and as a noble flanker to the special series. If the price is competitive, this perfume is a safe blind purchase if you want a fresh, but also woody and spicy, different scent and also want to get some compliments. I think Bvlgari Man Extrême has been underestimated and neglected by the many die-hard Bvlgarians out there and all lovers of fresh fragrances in general. It is ideal for use in the office or for any indoor activity. For outdoor events or events with high humidity, be sure to carry a decanter. Although I would like this perfume to perform better, it is one of the fresh fragrances that I really appreciate. The All Blacks Limited Edition bottle is beautiful and looks great on any shelf. Let's do the maths for Bvlgari Man Extrême All Blacks Limited Edition: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ - Opening of fragrance: 9.0 - Scent drydown: 9.0 - Longevity: 7.0 (5~6 hours with 3 sprays) - Sillage: 6.0 (up to an arm's length with 2.0 hours projection with 3 sprays) - Uniqueness: 9.5 (unique, very well blended and very similar to the original Bvlgari Man Extrême) - Versatility: 8.5 (Almost anywhere, but with much better options for clubbing and formal events. Perfect for home, gym and open air spring and summer activities) - Wearability: 7.5 (high in spring and adequate for summer and autumn, but avoid extreme heat or cold days; it's not a night fragrance except in summer). - Compliments: 8.0 (It's a fresh fragrance, but a moderate compliment magnet) - Quality: 9.0 (My verdict - does not give the slightest hint of being cheap or synthetic. It smells expensive; with a better performance it would deserve a 10.0) - Presentation: 10.0 (perfect, like most Bvlgaris) - Price: 9.0 (100 ml non-tester for 32 euros) ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ - Average: 8.41 / 10.00 between 7 and 8 = above average; between 8 and 9 = recomended; bigger than 9 = don't miss it; MY OPINION: Quite pleasant and modern. A sober but crisp citrus opening with enough zest, calming down in half an hour to one hour, depending if you applied it on skin or on your clothes also whether you are outdoors, direct under sun or remain in the room. Cactus though present in the top, but shows up its real character in the middle remains thoroughly till the end. Well IMO this is the Cactus which makes this scent so unique and soothingly cool. Amber and Benzoin do show up in the dry down, but my nose is still searching for Cardamom. Longevity silage and projection are just above average, though I expected a little more. A great blind buy, very safe scent, gets compliments but criminally under estimated and neglected. Great wear for office, indoor work, for outdoors and high humidity situations keep your decant with you. Would've been among my top five summer scents if showed bit more performance. Cheers. An interesting idea floated by great Jeremy for Versace Man Eau Fraiche, to put that in refrigerator for greater cooling. I think same goes true for Bvlgari Man Extreme All Black rather I think it's more suitable for BME All Black. I am gona try, if some one else does, kindly let me know about your experience.

Alberto Morillas is such a genius. Such an artistic fragrance. it smells like VPH but with added cactus and warmth. I recommend wearing this fragrance during summer in western countries, and fall and winter in middle eastern countries as these countries climate temperature ranges between 10-20 degrees during winter. You must be a fan of Alberto to really get this fragrance. It isn't for anyone. But when you consider and appreciate such a perfumer you will understand what it is vibing with and wanting to come across as. Cactus is rare, it adds warmth and sort of a dessert hint in a sophisticated way. Picture a Harley driver riding down Route 66 who has just robbed a bank and has escaped his hometown. Adrenaline rushed and masculine. Wearing his black boots and leather jacket. The scent is clean and you will smell different notes every time you spray it.

My first review here, so take it for what it is. :) I won’t comment on the scent itself, many others have already done that for the regular Man Extreme. I just want to share my thoughts comparing these two. I have a 2013 batch of the Man Extreme and recently purchased this All Blacks edition. I did a comparison on paper and to my nose they are exactly the same fragrance. They smell the same all the way through, they last just as long (48h+ on paper, but on my skin just a few hours) and they project the same (moderate). The All Blacks bottle is nicer, though! Other than that there is no reason for grabbing this instead of the regular, IMHO. I found a 50% off deal so I couldn’t resist...

The presentation of this bottle caught my eye while browsing in the perfume section of the local chemist. Being a limited edition (& a cheap chemist), there wasn't a tester made available so I made my buy decision based on reviews here. Thank you Fragrantica! The smell is quite nice but I would not say it is the best of the Bvlgari men's line. It opens with citrus notes which IMHO overwhelms the other notes I was expecting such as cardamom. There is the presence of a woody base and if you've smelt the rest of the Bvlgari line before, a hint of what appears to be black tea. In summary, a nice scent but not one which is complicated or mind-blowing. I give it a rating of 6.5 out of 10. It is however a suitable citrus-heavy perfume for daytime use, whether in the office or in other casual settings. Its projection is moderate but the biggest weakness is its longevity. On me, it won't last beyond 4 hours so by around noon, I can barely smell it. Not a bad scent if you're after one for daytime use but best to smell and test before committing along with others in the Bvlgari line as you may likely find something better.

Lets start with the presentation, AMAZING! btw im from NZ :) Now to the scent. Very very strong citrus top, the bergamot is authentic and some kind of citrus floral joins it, I thought it was neroli. The top is the best bit of the scent. stays for 2-3 hours. then it becomes very soapy, clean floral musky scent. I wished i detected a bit more cardamom but no luck. Also negligible vetiver in my opinion. Performance and longevity certainly better then the non intense version. around 7 hours and projects well too. It is very fresh professional smell and definitely an intense version of the extreme version. ;) I don't think it mentions here but it is an (EDP Intense) concentration.

Another one for the first time, I haven't compared it with the other MAN versions I have. But this one got noticed right away when I got to work and complemented, so good start. Now after 8 hrs. is very close to the skin, no very long sillage or longevity for an EDP. Well prob. will update.

I bought this because of a great experience with Bvlgari prior to this with Aqva Atlantiqve, Aqva Amara, and Man Black Orient. With three home runs in a row, I had high expectations for this and the note breakdown sounded interesting. Sadly, it doesn't measure up to the other Bvlgari fragrances I own. I love the smell. Too bad it lasts about 5 minutes on me. I'm not sure if I'm just going nose blind or this is the weakest, worst performing summer Eau De Parfum strength scent ever but, this was a huge regret for me given the price. I can see why it was immediately discontinued. It's too bad because the cactus juice really gives this a unique scent profile that's very nice. But the longevity is right down there with $10 celebrity fragrances and sillage is a skin scent in 5 minutes. You'd need to refresh every 15 minutes. I use it as a bathroom freshener and I think that's the only real use for something this weak. It smells better than Glade and 15 minute longevity is about right for a bathroom freshener.

Don't belive the hype on this one. It's a generic citrus 'cologne' with the tiniest hints of notes from the MAN IN BLACK series. Poor performance and just a general overall lack of any wow factor, this could easily be mistaken for 100 other fragrances. Get a decant and save yourself from buying a full bottle, even then that decant will go to the bottom of the pile and be forgotten. I can see why it was dropped from the line so quickly...there is nothing 'extreme' about this one.

So yeah, you could be forgiven for thinking 'when do I need to smell like a cactus?' The answer is: after smelling this, I actually feel like that quite often.The cactus element is spicy, juicy, green but not vegetal, really crisp and clean somehow but also funky. I think the bergamot/grapefruit must help with the crispness in the opening and the vetiver is definitely there somewhere, but it is totally unique as far as my experience goes. Sadly the negative reviews about longevity are correct. When you spray it on, the depth of the smell is like woah parfum, but somehow it fades really quickly, which is a shame because it is so nice. That said hours later, I get a clean skin scent occasional cactus whiff so perhaps it is perfect for the office. Or maybe it makes all wearers noseblind, and we are all wandering round sillaging off a dense cactus trail?

Good scent. I like it on my skin. The cactus puts a different spin on this fragrance that makes it uniquely formal for me. It doesn't make it bitter, peppery, or smokey, but it has a similiar effect, giving it a twist. I describe it as class. This is a semi-sweet, semi-citrus, classy fragrance that I would wear in formal suit occasions during summer and spring nights. Projection and sillage are average on my skin. This smells better applying fresh out of the shower. The difference between this fragrance and Bvlgari Man Extreme is quality. The All Blacks edition dries down past the chemical synthetic opening quicker, and smells fresher.

I've worn this a couple times now and I really feel like I hyped it up in my head the first time I wore it. The first time I wore it I noticed citrus, dry wood, spice, and it reminded me of Chanel Antaeus without the castoreum note. This second time I got citrus, green notes, airy, aquatic or marine notes found in "bleu" perfumes, and also a desert note. It borders on other designer fragrances I've smelled so it doesn't really stand out to me as anything special. That being said I do like it but it has soft to medium sillage for me and I like stuff that's a little stronger so I probably wouldn't purchase a full bottle.

BVLGARI MAN EXTREME INTENSE is an uber modern cologne that's spicier than the original. Bergamot, blended with prominent note of iris (making it ideal for ladies) together with amber, vetiver and benzoin makes it ideal for office, weekends, midday launch, shopping, polos, etc. Impressive longevity of 8hrs+! My gal is ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with this! She keeps spritzing for work! Through her, I've been able to appreciate this cologne more!

Bad experience.. bought few days back... I smelled Man Extreme in the shop n love it..but bought this ALL BLACK EDITION as it was packed piece .... thinking that this would be much more intense and long lasting.. BAD experience. Will never buy this one again. Bvlgari MAN EXTREME is much more better..

Awesome scent and masculine freshness. Now this is way better than the highly praise Man In Black. Its more wearable in many situations. Its very crisp and fresh. A sophisticated or rugged man can pull this off easy.

I tried this today at Myer and found it quite light with average longevity. The overall smell is generic. Sorry but the name is misleading.

Extreme intense ? Is quite misleading ..the scent is light
