Eau Parfumée au Thé Noir Intense

With amped up levels of oud and tea, plus, I assume, a somewhat higher concentration of oils compared to the original 2015 version of Eau Parfumee au The Noir, this scent is the better of the two for evening wear or use in cold weather. The fragrance is a light, green rose with a marked, westernized, de-skanked oud, The rich, but non-smoky black tea note here, however, elevates this fragrance above the run of the mill western rose oud fragrances and creates a dark, brooding mood that adds to the elegance of the fragrance. The notes are as presented in the pyramid above, as noted by some previous reviewers. The bergamot and magnolia notes are barely discernable bit players here, adding roundness to the scent and lightening it just enough to stop it from feeling dank. Adding to the elegance of the overall product is an excellent presentation with an incredibly high quality atomizer, heavy, satisfyingly weighty metal top and a graceful, somewhat art deco inspired bottle in dark frosted glass. The scent is unisex and one of the rare oud scents I do not hesitate to wear to the office. Longevity is in the 4-5 hour range on my skin and projection stops just slightly short of strong, particularly at the outset. I get neither the gasoline smell nor the strong rubber notes mentioned by some reviewers, although this Intense version of Au The Noir does hint at rubbery notes ever so vaguely when smelled with your nose pressed to the point of application. The base here has a wonderfully leathery oud note that works beatifully with the rose and the tea elements to create an aura of great rich elegance around the wearer. If you can find it to sample, I would recommend you do so, I am sure some folks will not love this fragrance as I do. Eau Parfumee au The Noir Intense is getting hard to find these days, but if you are a fan of tea scents, and darker fragrances, I strongly recommend seeking out a bottle of this excellent Bvlgari scent.

One of the best fragrances I've ever smelled, period. I've put off writing the review for weeks in fear of my inability to translate the beauty of this scent into words. The first time I smelled Eau Parfumée au Thé Noir Intense, I felt like someone grabbed my heart and squeezed it! Dark, mysterious, serious, brooding, calm, quiet, introverted, melancholy, grey. Smokey, dark leather meets a wintry, warm cup of herbal, natural tea to create this masterpiece. Rose in the background adds a tender touch of softness to this grey scent. An English gentleman, in his stone castle, drinking his tea, in a cloudy afternoon, while staring over an endless horizon of green plains. This is how it smells. Dark & woody tea scent with a hint of rose, is the smell if I'm to put it in one sentence but that doesn't do it justice. It is of worth noting that the "oud" here smells like a leather note. Have you ever sprayed a fragrance on your wrist, wore a leather watch, & hours, maybe days later, you smelled the strap & it smelled gorgeous that it made you wish there was a fragrance that smelled like that? Eau Parfumée au Thé Noir Intense does smell like that! A cold, mature wear. "Love"..endlessly.

A classic Rose and Oud combo meets a gorgeous and lovely black tea accord and a little metallic ink vibe. This night time and seductive scent is highly underrated and something special. It manages to make the rose and aoud combo more sensual and lighter overall. This one still struggles from performance issues - a 4 to 6 hour fragrances with fair projection and decent silage. It does not smell the most natural up close to discerning noses, but in the air it does magic. overall a big improvement from the regular version and a hidden weapon in my collection.

26 year old male. this and TF Black Orchid seem to suit my personality the best and consistently give me the feedback "you smell good". I use this one in all seasons in all settings except work where I'd find it inappropriate to wear. Projects and lasts on my skin with 1-2 sprays. Recommend, but sample first (especially men)

Intense is the word. It's impressively, err, intense, so apply with care. Also lasts longer than perhaps anything else I have. I like it provided I don't put too much on.

The leathery feel of this fragrance reminds me that of Hermessence Cuir d'Ange's leather. Anyone else?

SCENT: It's a dry woody fragrance for men. It's strong and intense. The rose is there but only if you're looking really hard for it. It smells like gasoline to my nose for the first few minutes. DRY DOWN: It starts to dry down to an intense tea note mixed with leather and oud. SEASONS: Fall - It's too intense for the warmer weathers and the woody notes specifically reminds me of Autumn trees. TIME OF DAY & SCENARIO: Dusk - The heavy notes in this fragrance makes me think this is the perfect fragrance for when the blanket of darkness encompasses the sky. GENDER: Masculine - There is absolutely no sweetness in this. The rose note is almost nonexistent. It's mostly a dry, and intense leather, oud, and tea note. LONGEVITY: 8-10 Hours on tester paper PROJECTION: Fills up the whole room with one spray on tester paper. The scent in the room lasts a long time too. PRICE: $90 CAD for 75mL OVERALL: 4/10 - This is too masculine for me. It smells like gasoline. Everything I said about the Non Intense version applies to this version. It's just way too strong and distracting for me. I wish the rose note was stronger and the leather and tea notes were milder. That would make a more unisex fragrance. Not blind buy safe unless you're looking for something intense and masculine. Not mass appealing. Will not repurchase. This version and the normal version feels the exact same with this version having a more intense leather, tea, and oud note that's only detectable after hours of application. The sprayer on this bottle is absolutely amazing as well!

This fragrance would suit someone with a strong mindset, do not Blind buy this perfume unless you like the bottle? Age group is more for someone who similar age as the Queen or 50+ £71 in Selfridges they are taking the biscuit. Not a Blind Buy, no matter how many videos you watch on YOUTUBE. No matter how hard you try to love it, it will come across very funky in any way possible. If you want to smell like the Queen, I highly recommended this perfume. Best to try a decant first. Edit; this would make a nice door stopper!

This is what Black should have been. I was actually afraid to get this, and almost didn't, as Black had many of the same notes, but had a burnt rubber accord that was all I could smell, and I gave it up, since that note overwhelmed everything else that I did like. Good thing I took a chance on this one. Au The Noir Intense has many of the same characteristics, only hinting at that rubber but never really quite reaching it, which is what makes it more wearable. The tea note is strong enough to hold up on its own, and the oud, which I'm a fan of when done well, is what clinches it for me. It's not heavy-handed, as with other rose-oud concoctions. Everything in this is well-balanced. I'm tempted to get the regular version, but seeing that it has a note of tobacco, I'm inclined to pass, since I don't do well with it. Someone below mentioned the regular version also veers into the rubber more aggressively, and that is absolutely what I want to avoid. Additionally, I was also afraid it would pull too masculine on me, and I often don't do well with unisex scents for this reason, but I'm not running into this problem. It just smells rich and wonderful, and I want to see if I can get my SO to wear it, too.

The notes are as published. Gorgeous bottle (I rarely comment on bottles). The tea note is a beautiful “normal” tea as opposed to the smokey Lapsang Souchong. The Oud is a wearable Oud, or as the great (industry-wide, highly respected perfume reviewer), Persolaise (Persolaise Perfumes YouTube Channel) says, “this is an Oud for people who don’t like Oud”! Well, I can understand his point, but I love Oud and I love this, but it’s an Oud that my wife doesn’t immediately express dislike for as she normally does with oud perfumes that I wear! It’s very light but noticeable, and I’m delighted to have this in my collection. It dries down to become close to the scent that I hoped that this would be. I think that I’ll be using this quite regularly as it’s growing into a love.

This gem popped up in TJ Maxx. I loved Thé Rouge, and this is the moody broody cousin. There are lots of riffs on the rose/oud combo in perfumery, but I like the addition of tea. It's somewhere between lapsang souchong and a palate puckering Russian Caravan so strong you could stand your spoon. Smoky notes and juicy, tart, grassy tannins really frame and deepen the fruity rose. Lovely perfume and perfect for those who like noir scents.

A deep and elegant oriental scent which focuses on black tea and accentuated with rose and oud giving it a Middle Eastern vibe.. It is a well-balanced concoction and although it comes in cologne intense concentration, the performance is satisfactory.. I would indulge myself of this scent at any given time.. Please do yourself a favor and try it if you get the chance..

“AMajeedQT” at his last paragraph nailed it. I can’t say it’s an Oud scent but dominated more by leather a luxury leather scent which it will mix very well with Oud , a very nice scent carrying boldness.
