Goldea The Roman Night Absolute

This is one of those rare fragrances that make me fall in love instantly. It’s not often that I smell a perfume and go “mmmm, omg I love this!!” To me, there is a definite difference between the Roman Night and this flanker. It’s the vanilla I’m sure that just adds exactly what it needs. It’s the perfect blend of soft femininity, while being interesting and deep at the same time. It’s a pleasant fragrance that could easily be a signature as it does not scream summer, winter, daytime, nighttime. The big problem, and the only reason it will not be my signature is that it disappears very quickly. The sillage is also very lacking. It’s such a shame because it’s one of my favourites.

How I adore this perfume. All the notes listed, I can feel them. An amazing perfume, that literally has a huge lasting power and sillage is kinda strong. Such a sexy perfume, very classy, definately for 30+ years old women. I love wearing this when going to events, it's making me feel very empowered. Perfect for autumn and winter nights. I adore how the scent evolves over time and slowly you'll feel the vanilla a bit more... Sexyness in a bottle.

I consider it to be in the same realm of Chloé Nomade Absolu. Fruity but dry at the same time. It has a lot of earthiness to it. The plum in this composition is rather sour than ripe and the vanilla is just there to give it roundness. Easily an unisex fragrance imo. Projection and sillage are amazing. It lingers for hours and hours on the skin. Really like this one!

This is a beautiful perfume I get a craving to wear. I love plumy scents & it has my favorite florals. It's blended so well with the patchouli, Madagascar vanilla & black musk. The moss accord isn't so strong that it ruins it for me. Perfection. It's a lovely perfume & I'm so glad to have it in my collection. Thank you Alberto Morillas & Bvlgari! 💜

J’adore!!!!!! Ce parfum est divin! Il est chaud et doux! Délicieux! Certe, il est plutôt discret, la sillage est assez discret mais la tenue sur vêtements est vraiment très bonne. Je le trouve mature et élégant. De plus l’emballage et le flacon sont magnifiques ce qui ne gâche rien. Je conseille de l’essayer :)

My husband always compliments me when I wear this perfume - and he rarely does that. That says a lot about this one. I would describe it as classy and sophisticated. Sweet but never too much; the vanilla here is spicy and sensual. Love this for the winter time and fall alike. Would recommend a thousand times!

Starts out very akin to Dior Joy Intense and totally transforms into its darker sister on the dry down. This one needs to sit for about a year before it's ready to wear if you buy it brand new. You want it to age a bit. Lasts forever on clothes. I smell it on my shirt from 4 days ago still.

The beginning is a beautiful, sparkling champagne of plums, orange blossoms and something sweet. It’s not the same, but it reminds me of the beginning of Izia Sisley. Dry down is beautiful and exclusive, sensual, expensive smelling slightly sweet with moss and musk.

Very similar to Tom Ford after wearing it for 60-90 minutes. Slightly less rich but same category, same league. It's a mesmerizing high-end scent, sexy, ambitious and dark... a masterpiece. ❤️ Long lasting and powerful projection. 10/10

This perfume is an absolute pleasure to wear , syrupy black berry and just a sexy deep darker scent . Very pretty , almost clean , but so dirty, kind of reminds me of mancera musky garden cross with BBW Black Amythest

Although I really don't care for the ad, I like this one a lot. For a long time I’ve been (1) trying to make friends with the Goldea series, because secretly they appeal to me, (2) flirt with plum perfumes, and (3) find my black scent, and this might solve all three of these. So far, none of the Goldea members were attractive enough for me. The first (yellow-gold) scent is too musky with a pungent ylang-ylang. As I cannot stand rose on myself either, the Rose Goldea line was also largely out of the question. With regards to the black ones, I tried Roman Night first, but what many describe here as a 'salty-buttery vibe' was just pure salt for me, an attack on the senses. Absolute, however, contains what is good and exciting in the entire line and lacks all that put me off. There is a classy 'half-rosy' note, and even the salt is there slightly, but the vanilla and plum round it off somehow. I find this rather elegant and mature, not as young and sexy as the ad suggests.

Lovely plummy floral opening. 1 hour in, the musk comes through and the plum mixes with it. By the end of hour 2, I also noticed the creamy vanilla in the background. By hour 3 the patchouli and moss are also noticeable, which adds a "green" and (pleasantly) "dirty" note. Kind of reminds me a bit of Bazooka Joe bubblegum, too. This scent lasts 6+ hours before fading to the point of sitting closer to the skin.... but the patchouli and moss keep it from becoming a "skin scent". I think this is best for cooler spring, fall and maybe winter (unlike the "regular" Goldea - Roman Nights, which I like for warmer times.) I don't think it is "too similar" to the Goldea Roman Nights, which I think might be a bit easier to wear, for folks that are not fans of patchouli.

Thanks to a generous seller on eBay, I was able to score a mini of this for cheap. One of the big box stores offers a complementary mini splash EDP with purchase of a big bottle. It's so cute! The mini has a different design (the neck is all "gold" instead of the thin gold lines) and the name of the fragrance is not on the bottle. I poured a few drops on my wrist. The honey-sweet opening of this, much like the original Goldea: The Roman Night, reminds me of Dior Poison. I do detect some of the vanilla and a hint of heady white florals, but this one is less powerful. I rate this a "like." I will update when it dries down.

I recently published a review of this on my YOUTUBE "Rotten Rebel". Goldea Absolute opens up with a beautiful plum note backed up by it's sweet side (from the vanilla) and a dose of that musk. That opening is soft, classy and slightly seductive.. With the drydown a mix of jasmine and patchouli comes in and it all turns into something deep, sexy and dark. I think this is a fruity floral with vanilla backed up by musk and patchouli and it’s seductive and really nice! It’s a bit darker than Goldea the roman night and a great fragrance for women. I like Goldea the roman night a bit more though.
