Noorah

I quite fancy this one! First of all, the bottle is a complete and utter stunner! I bought it for the bottle alone! It's a fabulous piece of art. And, surprisingly, I really like the perfume, which I didn't really expect to. The tobacco and the very date-like smell is really fabulous - delicious! It has a very Asian smell, which I love, and the vanilla and iris, mixed with the honey, patchouli and gingerbread, give such an alluring sweet powdery comfort. It's lovely and spicy, and lasts for ages. I could smell it all night in bed, and even still this morning! It's actually growing on me, even as I write! I'm liking it more and more. I wore it yesterday for the first time, and it was unexpectedly good, and I like it even more today. Hmmmm...... lovely.

I have a mini of Noorah. Diptyque Volutes (and those that smell like Volutes) is my favorite scent profile. I got my mini based on the notes, and it does indeed bear a resemblance to Volutes, but with more iris/alpha isomethyl ionones. I'd actually say this isn't unlike layering Bvlgari pour Femme with Volutes (although no violet note in Noorah, as there is in BPF). I own both, and will try layering them on one arm, and Noorah on the other arm to compare. Will edit and share my results soon.

This has been on my "to test" list forever. I was extremely lucky to snag an official mini/travel spray of Noorah on ebay for $15 with free shipping. It was advertised as 1/3 full, but it was actually 90% full. Oh lucky day! Fragrance is lovely. Deep, rich, powdery. It does remind me of my another favorite - Caron's Tabac Exquis, but with more iris and no chocolate.

loved the name its my name hhhh its long lasting but not very the sillage is disappointing the ingredients sound very cool and unique but the reality not that great at all. i didn't feel the Patchouli not even the Oak. don't waste your money

i got a decant of this 1 year ago, and i was let down extremely; it smelled like yet another bois d'iris-/bois d'argent-esque scent. fast forward 1 yr later, i have been wearing this for a few days in a row, and idk if the maceration process has brought out the complexity and the depth of this or if my nose has changed, but i get the hype now. opening is a sweet borderline boozy resin/amber, the most similar amber i can compare this to would be SoW plum in cognac. then you get an extremely lovely damp tobacco, not super smoky, not dirty, just authentic fresh damp tobacco along side an ever so slightly woodsy touch. there's a bitter powdery [slightly] green DNA going which is suspect is the combo of galbanum and iris. also, this is quite complex for what it is, it does develop differently on skin vs clothes (i get leather on skin for some reason!) obviously but it changes drastically throughout the wear.
