Omnia by Mary Katrantzou

I managed to get a bottle at a reasonable price for a Bvlgari fragrance. I am keen on spending a lot of money on things I have never tried before. What convinced me to take the risk was the gorgeous package. I know I am irresponsible. Living on the edge, not afraid to die. Lol. It is apparent that this is a designer fragrance. There is not a single "cheap" note in it. The ingredients that were used were obvious high quality which I hoped they would be. It actually exceeded my expectations. My favourite note is the fig leaf. It turns what would have been a "like" into a "love". Thankfully, this note stays throughout the fragrance's performance. It is softened by orange blossom and mandarin orange. I do not know what gardenia smells like but I like to believe I can smell it as well. The wood is barely there. "Omnia Floral" shines with its versatility. Office safe. Ideal for those who work in healthcare. Good gym fragrance. Suitable for special occasions because it is different enough. Wearable in any season although it may be a little weak for winter. I wouldn't use it for a night out either. Other than that, it is great for a wide range of occasions. It is classy and inoffensive. However, I highly recommend that you test before you buy. I cannot complain about its performance. It is better than I imagined. It lasts about 8 hours. One touch-up in the middle of the day is enough. It projects for about 3 hours. As much as I enjoy this, I would not repurchase. I would love to find a more affordable alternative, though. I guess my rating went from 4 to 5 over time. At first I didn't like it that much: too bold although recognisably in the Omnia series which is amazing. Now, reading the notes again I realise this is the fig note that bothered me. But I have somehow learned to like the fig note more over time so I also like this scent more and understand it better. I got it quite cheaply last year in a discount and this from the department store where all the scents cost so much more than in other online shops, so I am lucky. I bought it without testing first. The bottle and the box are very beautiful.

Whenever I spray it, it feels like I'm strolling past a flower shop. I absolutely love it.

I was almost afraid to try this one because although I love the early Omnia releases, I've been underwhelmed by the recent offerings from this series (Paraiba, Pink Sapphire and Golden Citrine). This one however is lovely - and I mean the scent, not the bottle which is pretty, but well... it's an Omnia. The scent is light and elegant and has a certain transparency that's a bit different from the other Omnias which I find more saturated. I feel that this one would be good for summer. I get lots of all the listed notes but i wouldn't say any one note overwhelms the composition which is nicely balanced. I especially love the fig leaf in this fragrance. It's delicate and less lactonic here than in other scents that I've tried and it adds a bit of freshness that lasts pretty much to the end of the drydown where it helps the wood balance out the musk. Longevity is average and silage moderate, like most of the other Omnias. By 5 or 6 hours in, it's pretty much a skin scent.. This fragrance is going on my wish list for sure but I'm going to wait until the price comes down somewhat. I really like this scent but I don't feel that it is that unique or otherwise compelling to spend $100 on it which is what it goes for in my country where it has just been released. Edit 2/23 - So I just snagged a secondhand bottle of this scent - unused other than a trial spray - for a third of what I would have paid for a new bottle when it first came out, never mind that it's impossible to find now in stores or online in my country at least. I don't understand what happened with this scent. It was literally on the market for maybe 6 months before it was withdrawn and then it virtually disappeared. Very strange. Yes I know it was a limited edition, but still...

Opening: The fig leaf note gives this fragrance a unique and almost bitter green opening which is balanced by bright, sweet mandarin and a deeper layer of sweet orange blossom. Heart: Gardenia is said to be a "piquant, green/earthy" white floral note; the gardenia in this fragrance, to my nose, is the source of this fragrance's piquant nature (spicy/sharp, but not in an unpleasant way). This sharpness doesn't last for more than an hour. Base: The woods and the musk in the base contribute to moderate longevity and also give the final white floral layer a deep and sturdy base to lay on. To my nose, this fragrance is green and piquant and floral in the opening and dries down to a pleasant, slightly sweet white FLORAL (gardenia and orange blossom). I personally love sweet, musky, woodsy scents (e.g. Cloud, I Want Choo, BR540 Extrait, 1888, Vanilj, etc.). The orange blossom, woody notes, and musk move this fragrance into a category that aligns with my current personal fragrance taste, otherwise, this is not something that I would be able to easily reach for. Like many, I am obsessed with the bottle and the box it comes in.

I'm very picky when it comes to white florals, but I think this is lovely. I especially liked the opening of this, but the dry down is nice too. It smells very clean. I don't feel the need to buy a bottle of it, but it's a pleasant fragrance nonetheless. Coral is still the best from this line IMO.

The opening is loud, synthetic, and almost offensive to my nose but luckily it’s gone quickly. The reviewer below described it as “piquant” and spicy/sharp and I have to agree. As it dries down, more of the soft Bulgari Omnia DNA comes out thank goodness but I was hoping for something more green/fig leafy. The final drydown is pleasant enough and I will keep this blind buy. Also the bottle is darker in real life- more pink and orange rather than rainbow, should that matter to you.

Nothing special. The opening is bright and transparent transforming into a soft spicey likable tuberose that dries to a woody musk. The bottle is much more prettier than the scent. This has been done a million times over. I was looking for a gardenia centered scent.....it's not here. No creaminess, nothing waxy, no earthy dryness or funky notes ...just tuberose. I don't hate it but I have others I like better.

Bought the mini size (15 mL). Fragrance is synthetic but quite nice...full bottle worthy? Not sure at the moment. Pretty bottle although a bit cheap feeling (plastic cap) And sadly expected the bottle to have a more vivid/smooth rainbow gradient..aww man lol I would suggest looking at the bottle in person (if possible of course) before you buy it.

A ho-hum white floral that has a synthetic opening. This has been done a million times before. Short projection that dries to a skin scent. If you like elegant, run of the mill, white florals (with a hint of green), then this is for you. By the way, Mary Katrantzou is a Greek fashion designer.

Just found out I hate Gardenia lol

I’m very intrigued by the notes in this and the bottle has my squirrel brain telling me “you need it” so this is definitely going on my list. I hope to be back soon with a real review! I hope I enjoy it as much as I do the bottle.

Wow Bvlgari the flanker is stunning and I love Alberto Morillas creations hope its as beautiful as the bottle since I love Gardenias! I just hope the longevity and sillage are as good as the original first Omnia and Aqva Amara!

Bottle is magical, but the smell is average. It is a dry woody green smell, inoffensive.

I liked this Omnia! At least sample worthy Fresh floral scent
