A Kiss from a Rose

Very clear, green rose. I'm not sure why I blind bought this, obviously it's not cheap and I usually don't wear floral fresh fragrances... but nonetheless I love this. I get three things clearly and that's Green, Rose and Musk. The green changes from a very sharp green at the opening to a more blended green with the rose at the heart. In fact, now that I write it like that, it definitely opens with the thorns of the rose, with a bite. True rose can have so many facets, made stronger or weaker with other ingredients and in this form the rose is made fresh and green. This is not pure rose flower, this is not rose made stronger with honey or vanilla or sweetness, this is a rose accord with leaf and maybe a hint of something ozonic, but you can definitely smell the pure rose scent, on a bed of stems. The musk is present throughout it all. Just walking into the room this morning someone immediately looked at me and sniffed, saying 'Fresh!'. Well, there you go, I wasn't even close yet. Don't underestimate this scent on either sillage or longevity. It seems stronger to the outside world than to my nose, so I should be careful not to overspray, which I might have this morning, but if that's your thing it definitely works. Especially for such a fresh scent this lasts forever. Edit: I reach for this remarkably often. I love it more with every day.

Very s..xy smell 🫦 Musky green rose, like a cold rosé champagne with bubbles ... delightful. Although the projection and silage are average, you still are very very noticeable and attractive to people 😌 I have a weird feeling that this amazing perfume is a molecular one, because it reminds me Pink Molecule Zarkoperfume, not by its notes but by the mood, fizziness and fresh touch to it. Be careful, this stuff can be addictive and dangerous 🫦🫦 Good luck and be inspired 💋

If you want a rose-dominant scent, this isn't that. That's not a bad thing at all though; this fragrance is green and juicy - 85% wet rose stems and maybe 15% rose petals. This starts and ends as totally unisex, leaning a little femme in the open and a little masc in the drydown. It's understated, long-lasting, and very nice.

Luscious green roses. Fresh, photorealistic, newly blossoming rosebushes complete w/ leafy stems & thorns dripping rainwater. Contradictorily sexy & heavenly.

I chuckle when reading some of these reviews. More specifically this one: "Yeah, well, I have to show Monsieur Henessy what a rose is, because this has almost nothing to do with roses (neither does roses on ice)." The fact is that it was never intended to be the super bright and traditional floral rose scent you're accustomed to. It's Rose Mai. It's different for a reason. The kicker is that "Roses on Ice" isn't about roses, rather it's a take on his wife's favorite drink... Hendricks on the rocks. The rose is supposed to be a subtle accent, not the star of the show. You have to understand this to understand the scent. (Imagine trying to replicate the smell of gin... on ice... lol) Anywho, back to A Kiss From a Rose. AWESOME scent. It's a great take on the "rose market" because it's not like every other bright fresh floral rose scent we all know. This is a more green scent. Funny enough, at least on the test strips, the dry down ALMOST smells like a Christmas tree. Really interesting scent. This is the type that would fall under a "safe" blind buy if you like the notes in the scent breakdown.

I expected to instantly pick up on the rose, but that was not the case. As soon as I smelled this all I got was the green parts of a plant, specifically a smell reminiscent of slicing stems for biology class; this all with musky undertones which I'm still debating weather they improve this fragrance or not. Dry down keeps this linear smell of greens and musk while introducing a slight woodiness & an unusual chemical smell that I can't really describe. Lasts well, but the projection is shockingly really good on this. I rarely care for the gender assigned to a fragrance, and an even more rare occurrence is me disagreeing with the label. This happens here, A Kiss from a Rose is a masculine leaning fragrance in my opinion.

Ou yes I love this. I’m really starting to get into rose fragrances and I’m glad I am! A Kiss from a Rose is opulent, juicy, jammy, sexy, and seductive. Green & dewy, but it’s very rich. This is not a light fragrance by any means. It’s bold and probably not for everyone. This is a fragrance with a lot of depth & complexity. If you’re a big rose fan I’d say it’s a safe blind buy.

This is a rose perfume where the first thing that hit you would be the stem and it’s leaves, thorn, and everything else. Strong green that was sharp enough to prick. Then comes the soft rosy scent. Overall a rather realistic rose perfume. But that’s it.

This is very much unisex, even more masculine leaning. I let my husband smell it and he really liked and said he would wear that. It’s green, I can smell woody pine like notes. It’s very fresh and classy. Rose in here is green, almost like green stems more than rose itself, definitely not your pink fresh sweet rose. I don’t know how I feel about it, I most likely will let it go.

I love the opening of this and can smell the rose. The dry down smells like the chemicals used to give someone a perm. I remember that smell from my childhood with my mom doing hair. Very similar smell to that

More floral than sweet. Fresh opening that slowly congeals into a sticky, musky, stewed rose jam that fell, splat, into damp soil. Incredibly unappealing on my skin. This was not made for me. Review of used bottle blind-buy. Happy I didn't purchase new. Recommend wear testing this first. Decluttering.

The opening smells like a generic women’s designer perfume from the 90s. The dry down is a musky clone of Byredo’s Rose of No Man’s land. Very disappointed, not the fresh Rose I was hoping for.

I purchased a full bottle and it should arrive to me today. I will update this review once I get the chance to smell the fragrance. UPDATE - Opens with rose with a gorgeous cypriol note then the green notes come through with the blackcurrant coming through later on. If you hate cypriol then this fragrance isn’t for you. Strength is light but noticeable (I have it on for 8 hours and I can’t still smell it) but because I have never smelt rose and cypriol together this is totally new for me and it’s gorgeous. Because of the green notes this is definitely a unisex scent. I know this is gonna be a love or hate scent but the uniqueness of the notes will get people talking about this at least. I’m glad I got a bottle. UPDATE again. I get no Jasmine in this so if you are expecting Jasmin you will be disappointed. I can’t get enough of this fragrance. I can’t stop sniffing myself.

Maybe some flowers at the beginning (but it's really not the petals of the rose, it's the green parts of it) and some musk at the drydown, but really, I don't know. It is an elegant, comforting, slightly sweet green fragrance, totally unisex, with moderate sillage, but quite good longetivity. The type of perfume you don't smell on yourself after 30 minutes, but it gently lingers around you til the end of the day.

Got my hands on a bottle of this and I love it. Cannot smell the black currant as such, but the rose in the beginning is bright, because of the jasmine and black current notes. Then it dries down to the rose with cypriol, being this is my first time with this scent, I love it, and the longevity of this scent is very good. It is a feminine opening and comes down to a unisex scent in the dry down. This is one of my all time fav kilian, and of course love Alberto, so I love this fragrance.

A Kiss from a Rose is my top choice in Kilian! The image of the scent goes perfectly with black clothes.. it’s a rose with a splash of water and green stem. Although the texture is light, performance is pretty good. It’s very sexy but not overwhelming. Definitely unisex and easily likable scent!

Kiss from a (freshly cut) rose gives you the stems and leaves in the opening. Put a smile on my face. Fresh and not overpowering. Totally unisex. The fresh greens dissipated as it dried down, leaving a pleasant musky rose. Has a bit of a soapy nature.
