Beyond Love

OMG. Beyond Love is strong, very strong. Beyond Love is "sexy, overwhelming, sexy, bizarre glory". Perfect definition from previous reviewer! I tried many hours ago and it's still lingering on my wrist, so that I managed to wash my hands without putting soap on that spot. I don't want to loose it so soon! I don't even want to imagine opening the tap of the barrel and putting my head under the flow of Beyond Love. It could be too much for my little brain. I tried it almost careless while looking for something else to test. The by Kilians didn't impress me much at first. Ok, the bottle is absolutely stunning, but it's not a reason enough to buy for me. Well, I don't see me buying this one anyway. It is charged 175 euro for 50ml. Another scent to swoon for that I won't have in my collection :-( Why do I like these expensive scents? In this case I like Beyond Love, not all By Kilian and a good reason for liking it is high quality. In the '80s I thought that original Chloè was best tuberouse, then I thought that Fracas was best tuberouse, then I thought that Carnal Flower was best tuberouse. From today on I will think that Beyond Love is best tuberouse. A total global floral experience to shake your brains in a grey sad evening in winter. At first a single squirt seems to be too much already. I smell strong coconut. I don't even like coconut in fragrances. It smells like cheap suntan lotion in many perfumes. Coconut in Beyond Love is heavenly. What kind of coconut do they actually put inside? It is a special coconut from a hidden secret kingdom in Far East? Igave it time to settle down, hoping that it would morph to an ugly mess of coconut and messy flowers. I didn't want to like it. That never happened. It actually became smoother and smoother pure, thick yet subtle, strong yet soft tuberouse, climbing the ladders of my head and making my knees weak. On my skin it only gets better with hours. In the drydown coconut gives a special mouthwatering creaminess to tuberouse. The sillage is perfect. Beyond Love is to die for. In spite of being utterly feminine I can see a man with an odd personality proudly wearing this one. If a man I don't feel attracted to gave me this one I would run away with the black box as fast as I could! In the shop they didn't even have a free little vial for smelling purposes to give me.

It is a sexy, sweet, feminine, lovely....Intoxicating scent. The scent is a divine fresh sweet creamy almost a buttery floral (just the right green notes added to it). It is stunning from start to finish! It wears into a sublime tropical heavenly scent. Amazing notes that are amazingly put together. It is a STUNNING fragrance. I was told recently at a party that I smelled very sexy, and beautiful. It does have some longevity and is strong - but it is no loud or harsh. This is not a silage monster. A few sprays is all I need for a good 10+ hours. It is perfectly done. 12th What is beyond love? Ecstasy or Disappointment... I tested this on another warm humid day and sprayed it extremely generously. I have two 5-ml decants from 2 different shops, and one is just a tad better from a dabbing on my skin. Different bottles, year, effects from environment in which it was stored? The best decant I had before these two was light yellowish in color but these two are orange in color. My first decant (out of 3 decants) was delicious and sultry. So I wanted more, but was disappointed in what I received and thought I could give it another testing chance again. I imagine this must have been reformulated at some point, because I remember it being a better, lovelier tuberose, more effecvescent fruitiness, sweetness, tartness, coconut and less greens. It is still a good tropical tuberose with a hint of stems and plastic. I do not get camphor, grape, or bubblegum notes. It does have a beachy aroma (like intense tiare by montale for example), but much milder. So after dousing myself in this supposably extremely potent tuberose, it did not radiate much despite the perfect warm humid weather in which it should have bloomed. For the price, there are many better options out there. But that doesn't mean I dislike it; I am just bummed that it is not what it was, like the first time I tried it and was beyond love...in ecstasy. If anyone has had a similar experience, please share. Is it me? 8/10

Love and beyond love are the gourmet flower flavored french marshmallow smelling Kilians. And I adore them both. It took me a long time and many testings over years to even LIKE this fragrance, the tuberose and the jasmine killed it for me, but they mellow out quickly into something very gourmand and sweet. I just ordered the 100ml refill from Luckyscent, it is the same price of the bottle for double the juice. I am not sure they let you get it unless you have a record of having a kilian full sized, but I am not sure. They have a limited selection of said refills, but if you are in europe and go to the bykillian site, you can purchase the 100 ml. refill of all of their perfumes. Maybe it works in the states to but not for me. Their Full bottles are 50ml. The bykilian site is amazing, if you click on the fragrance youre interested in and then "perfumers notes", it lists every note and amount used for every perfume they make. You know get to know exactly what your'e smelling and it shows the brands confidence that they cannot be replicated because of the fine ingredients and mixing. Im checking in at cosbar if they can get the love refill, hopefully they can, its a great money saver! I love my Kilians and use them quite often (I went through .25 oz in 2 days of my new to go sized Love). Life is short, enjoy it, enjoy your favorite fragrances to the full extent- or thats what I do anyway ;)

I first reviewed this over a year ago from a tester vial I purchased on Ebay. It came in three vials and I sprayed it once. It nearly knocked me down and was just horrible! It was amazing for about ten seconds. I was rifling through my collection of samples when I saw these vials again. I noticed one of them was a different color than the other two. Upon closer inspection I also saw that it was the only one with fluid in the pump! I decided to spray one of the others, and boom! Pure love! It is the truest most exclusively tuberose fragrance (barring the real flower) I have ever experienced. It is very similar to Bond No 9 Saks for her but greener, sharper, more potent and much longer lasting! It is in a word, perfect! Everything I have been searching for in a fragrance. There is something in the last notes of the dry down (at least on my skin) that reminds me very much of the peachy metallic tang that I love in Carolina Herrera. I'll never forget this fragrance. A new signature!

So I do see people talking about more green notes or color differences (@xenanora & @cherubi rubi) This juice, while it has been reformulated, smells exactly the same. It’s the same issue with Love Dont Be Shy. There is a heavy vanilla in this alongside the coconut, although vanilla isn’t listed here. The reformulation comes with the vanilla changes. The lighter juice is the newer batches which haven’t aged. As with many Kilians, they age like fine wine. Take for example LDBS, Intoxicated, Black Phantom, etc. Certain notes gets stronger over time. I have a very dark brown juice which is apparently the coveted color, but I have tried a very recent brighter colored one. To me, the only difference is a stronger green tuberose for 5 min but that’s it. They are practically the exact same. The issue I see people have is with the newer juices which only come in refills. If you are able to find a bottle, it’ll 99% coke with darker aged juice which has a stronger coconut.

{Excerpt from a piece I wrote on perfume}: The scent is called "Beyond Love". It very nearly is. It is certainly as overwhelming as that first, stomach-clenching fall. Sumptuous. Drenching. Lush on a scale that leaves me heavy-lidded. In fact, narcotic. Or better. Opiates have nothing on the luscious, ambrosial somnolence of this sensation. Breathing in, being surrounded by, this scent is as overwhelming as lying on summer grass at sunset, watching the sky as a storm rolls toward you—while sprawled between sheets made of cream-white silk. Actually, I am sprawled on white sheets—sheets of damasked cotton-sateen. The sensory contrast—between the slight give that could pass as roughness in the fine-spun cotton, and the hedonistically sleek, impenetrably textured scent of the tuberose—is hypnotic, bewitching... ...far better than opium.

Tuberose Bomb for sure. You have to love tuberose to wear this. It is a tropical scent and I can smell the coconut more so in the drydown. No musk on me or for that matter no amber on me either. This is not a winter fragrance whatsoever, summer time here we come!!! Great for evenings out, having lunch or dinner down by the marina, or daytime wedding even for the bride! Longevity is very good. The older Kilian are wonderful for that. On clothes even better. Sillage also good, this is a compliment getter and definitely surrounds you in a room. Again, subjective may be different on others. This also leans more on the feminine side but anyone could wear this! Recommended 9/10

Beyond love is gorgeous. You must love tuberose to love BL. There's just a slight hint of sweetness from the coconut and tuberose itself, but I would not call this a sweet scent by any means. This is a very creamy floral that is polished to perfection. It exudes sheer femininity. There is that garden type greenness lingering throughout but it is discreet. The tuberose is by far most dominant and is quite realistic. BL becomes part of you, or you become a part of it. It sinks into your skin like it's meant to be there, like it is your natural scent. Edit: I wore this out yesterday and had 3 people compliment me. I haven't had that many compliments on a day...ever!

I took the plunge! After sampling this on my skin at home, at work, at home again, in my car (I think y'all get the picture) I bought the 100 ml refill for a song! This perfume is the first high end I have owned since 1974 when my grand mother gave me Estee Lauder Private Collection. Even though I was a teenager I knew what I had was precious. Since the reformulation I've been searching for a scent that made me feel like I did when I was 15.....I finally found it. This fragrance is absolutely stunning on my skin. It opens up with an in-your-face punch. I can detect a faint coconut but the tuberose is intoxicating! The silage is good and I'm a very happy camper!

I can see what was attempted here but unfortunately don't appreciate it! Tuberose is my favorite flower and as a consequence, I either love or hate perfumes that emulate it's fragrance. It begins with an initial blast of true to life freshly cut tuberose but quickly turns into a weird and chemical battle between Dr Pepper and graphite or pencil leads! It is bizarre and really unpleasant. It's a crude caricature of tuberose that way over shoots the bitter note in real tuberose! Boy this is just as gross and unauthentic as Fracas but in a completely different way. Washed it off in two minutes and still the sick metallic pencil lead smell stained my wrist!

I have looked for years for "the one" ~ I had finally decided that all the qualities I want in a fragrance don't exist in one perfume. I want fresh but not citrusy, sweet but not sticky, floral but not perfumey, yummy but not gourmand, and all of this with good longevity. Hard to find, for sure. I have never really been a white floral girl, so this was a surprise. Beyond Love IS all of the things I want in a fragrance and it LASTS! Tuberose tempered with a "yummy" coconut background.....so nice!

So I just got a sample of this from the official boutique and let me just tell you, I literally stopped for a second and had to smell my wrist again. White florals are a FAVORITE for me and this is complete heaven I’d you enjoy white florals, tuberose, and coconut. The coconut isn’t super super strong but is a nice secondary note that balances it all out. I definitely do smell it, and it just adds this nice tropical creaminess to it. This is a must have for me, I need to find a bottle lmao.

Hawaii. You're coming off the plane, and as soon as you even step into that accordion door-hallway that leads to the gate, it hits you - the scent of paradise. The flowers of paradise, and the sun cream of paradise. You haven't even exited the airport, but you can already smell it...out of the blue appears some sort of imaginary nymph, garlanded with plumeria, beckoning you to gardens by the sea. Beyond Love is utterly beautiful, and it has captured the fragrance of the islands perfectly.

I am fully aware of how Nitrate poppers are used and now -- everyone else can read how you are telling off members of the forum.

Beyond Love was the first By Kilian fragrance I sampled, and I find myself returning to it again and again. The opening is rather loud: tuberose, green notes, coconut, jasmine. But it warms up nicely after the first hour, and the tuberose and coconut are what seem to linger for me. Less assertive than Carnal Flower (my fave) and other famous tuberose scents, it's wearable yet still satisfyingly complex. I'm planning to purchase the travel spray soon!

i love it ! what a beautiful tuberose, soft and kind but strong, i will not say very strong , cause i have much stronger perfumes, it is just strong and above all it is not obnoxious at all, but it still on the skin long time without ever killing everybody around ! lol the most important thing i think it is that it is a very natural scent, the same that the flower fresh and healthy, i love it cause it doesnt smell synthethic at all !!

Oh my, I love this one soooo much!! Why does it have to be so pricey? I have to contend myself with Travel Sprays and refills... It's a bubblegum Tuberose, at least on my skin. It does have a nice green aspect to it, that makes it really wearable. I would say this is the fragrance that made me "get" tuberose and I've been collecting them ever since. It's the gateway tuberose (this and the Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia) hahaha

This is surprisingly summery yet a gorgeous thick tuberose. I love green notes and while they are a bit rarer in fragrances I really enjoy them when they come out to play. The tuberose and jasmine in here are sweet and heady, almost makes me think of a monoi vibe. The coconut addition is genius and I'm so glad its in here. I get something beachy about these flowers. Extremely long lasting so I would say worth the hefty price.

Warning: not for the weak-hearted. This perfume wears you. It's heady, long-lasting, heavy sillage, and not at subtle. It's an intense and gorgeous mix of tuberose, musk, and coconut. I wear it year-round, but it's especially wonderful in summer (though application should be lightened a little if your summers are humid!). Very very sexy.

Gorgeous tuberose scent! Definitely the most natural-smelling tuberose scent I've experienced so far- not gardenia, not jasmine, not orange blossom- pure, unadulterated tuberose! Interestingly, I also get a moist, Tom Fordesque mushroom-y accord, which adds to its unisex appeal- I can definitely imagine a guy rockin' this one...

This contains all my favorite notes: jasmin, gardenia, coconut, tuberose (don't really notice the amber or musk) and it's a beautiful fragrance. Reminds me very much of Bond's Saks for Her, which would be a less expensive alternative if you like Beyond Love but can't afford it.

Someone could mention why this beauty is discontinued? It is one of the best white floral combination I have tried so far.

I'll never understand why they discontinued this masterpiece to then churn dozens of mediocre scents.

Beyond Love reminds me of SweetTarts, but in the most adult way. It's simply charming!

My No.1 tuberose perfume. Intoxicating, full bodied, indolic.

If you don't care for Coppertone suntan lotion's scent you won't like this one, because the beautiful tuberose scent is laid against a background that smells just like a fresh dollop of the stuff. Beyond Love doesn't smell good while it's wet- just have to let it dry and keep wrists away from the nose until then. I have Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia and comparing them, I find them to be quite different. Beyond Love is more tropical in that it has the coconut note and a relaxed attitude that includes whiffs of Coppertone tuntan lotion, whereas ELPCTC is more uptight and expensive in attitude. But perhaps I have a fussy nose; they're both perfumes that feature tuberose prominently and use it as a center theme to dance around. I have to admit that these three are the best tuberose fragrances I have found...Marc Jacobs is that other one I'm including here. You will notice that gardenia plays a role in both Marc Jacobs and ELPCGT but does not in Beyond Love, at least not to my nose. I find the tuberose to be the most pure and unadulterated/realistic in this one and in Marc Jacobs but this one has the better sillage and longevity. My nose does not detect indole, plastic, or gasoline notes in Beyond Love, and it's not what I'd call a green fragrance, either. I might add that I have these other tuberose fragrances: Fracas (powdery/powerful/sweet), Michael Kors (powerful/harsh), and Amarige (powerful with indole) but they don't hold a candle to Beyond Love. You can say I have a thing for the tuberose scents- I don't have Carnal Flower although I would love to try that one one day.

Beyond Love opens with an intensely green accord that was certainly unexpected. The next hour is very interesting, with wafts of the buttery note others have noticed, and a brief time when I felt like, if Double Bubble had a tuberose version, this would be It. Inexplicably, several hours in, I feel as though BL has morphed into Sarah Horowitz's Perfect Nectar. I am a huge tuberose lover, but I would consider Beyond Love to be just as much about the jasmine as it it about tuberose. It's a note that is so au courant and overused in modern perfumery, that I find myself disappointed that the tuberose isn't more developed. If one must have a jasmine perfume, I would prefer a more noteworthy jasmine such as pikake or sampaquita, rather than something so terribly ordinary. BL's jasmine seems to give this perfume the occasional hint of soapiness. All in all, I feel like By Kilian sold out a bit in its tuberose 'fume by giving into the jasmine fad of the day. Beyond Love doesn't come near the top of my list for great tuberose perfumes. It would need a more self-possessed tuberose note to achieve that. As it is, it is merely another well blended white floral with a large blast of greenery built in. It is pleasant, not especially memorable, and far too overpriced to tempt me to anything more than the 4 mls I currently own.

I've been on a tuberose kick lately and have noticed that it can fall to the grand dame category if full force or on the innocent/romantic category when subdued most of the times. Beyond Love is unusual because it feels like belonging to neither of these; it's a beachy tuberose. Definitely has a tropical floral vibe and nearly as much fruitiness. Coconut is listed but there must be something along the lines of ylang ylang because it reads as containing a banana note which isn't entirely ripe. It's a vibrant, sweet, sunny fragrance with a green side too. If it had a color would be bright yellow/orange. Projects and lasts very well. Wouldn't call Beyond Love a sophisticated composition, it's more on the ''fun'' side and could be an Escada floral-fruity if Escadas were less sugary and higher quality. I enjoy my decant a lot but would I buy a full bottle someday? The jury is still out.

Hello Stranger..! I had no expectations whatsoever, oooooh lala.., this is special..!! Green notes and Coconut? Yes, it works!! It is like a bakery scent without bakery(?). It is like summer and winter at the same time. Vanilla ice cream comes to mind, a white buttery caramel, but the tuberose and green notes keep it on the light side. Histoires de Parfums Tubereuse 3 Animale is a remote and more amenable relative.. Better have an open mind when you try this for the first time. An almost edible experience. Worth testing..!

I was not convinced at first spray, as it did not seem like a natural real tuberose I am so used to, but now after wearing it a few times, giving it a good go..and I must say i definitely prefer to wear this over Fracas, MK or ToD. It is easier to wear than the afore mentioned. This is white floral, green notes with hint of coconut that rounds it off nicely, but it has a prominant musk base, which can be overbearing on me. Overall this quite an opulent floral, a very "Perfumey" Tuberose perfume.

This is the kind of jasmine I love, the same kind in D&G the only one intense (not remotely similar). The jasmine is clean like fresh air (not soapy) coupled with lots of creamy, more chalky than bubblegum, tuberose and green notes. The greenness is not harsh but sort of dewy and really fresh. All tied together well with the amber, which makes this a great performer as well. It compliments and amplifies all the notes. Coconut is the only note I’m not really getting from this.

This is a sweet syrupy grape-y Tuberose with freshly cut aloe leaves and a faint hint of coconut. There's not much of a camphorous phase like other Tuberose scents. It's one of the more restrained Tuberose scent out there. It's not too sweet, not too perplexing with any menthol it rubber and it isn't too loud. For me, it is just a little boring because I like scents that bite back or bring joy.

Beyond Love - it was a blind buy. Reading all this enthusiastic reviews I wonder if my bottle has expired. Usually I love tuberose but all I get is some sour harsh fruity greenish mix which is not really exciting. Maybe it's the coconut which I love to taste but doesn't smell pleasant on my skin. Such a pity, I really want to use this and wonder how to layer it.

Really pleasant scent, feminine, creamy, dominant white florals. For me it’s a summer vacation, big straw hats and small straw bags. Shopping day at the resort city near ocean and beautiful beach. Good projection. For tuberose lovers. Not my cup of tea, but it is a good fragrance. Very Kilian.

This review is not for this scent in particular, but for the brand in general. On my last trip to Charleston I was given several different samples of this brand with some stuff I purchased at a cosmetics boutique. Good, I thought, since they don't sell it where I live. We got into the car and I tried one of them (can't remember which). Good grief. Can you say LOUD? Hubby, who has no sense of smell whatsoever, said, "That is a strong scent! What is it?" Later, I tried another sample and it was the same thing: LOUD. If these scents were sounds, I'd say they felt as if someone had sprayed them through a megaphone. And you're getting this from someone who usually goes for strong, heady perfume.

I ordered a sample of this one along with some other Tuberose centered fragrances. I was really curious about this one though, since it contained coconut and I have a love/hate relationship with that certain note. The opening was rather okay, I perceive lots of coconut with green notes and a bit of tuberose. Yes, only a bit. It's a shame it stays this way though - it smells like a sort of semi-sweet coconut cream with a gasoline note. I guess that's the camphorous aroma Tuberose can give. Beyond love was a real letdown for me, but it seems to love me lol, I can still smell it quite strong on me after I used handsoap and scrub to get rid of it. Sillage is excellent and so is longevity.

This is a lot more complex than the notes would suggest. Yes, it is tuberose and jasmine with green notes and amber and musk undertones, but there are several nuances that come foreword as it develops. I get a fruity note in the opening, strawberry nectar comes to mind. There are some spices, I'm certain I got a little cinnamon, but there were others accompanying it. As times there was a fresh and soapy note that came and went. Typically scents with this much going on are too much for me, especially if they are soapy, but this one never becomes perfumey or muddy. The nuances come and go and let the creamy tuberose shine. I am impressed.

I'm going to revise my earlier review of this; I'm going to change my opinion from a like to a dislike. It is like, Carnal Flower, it is like Fracas, it is like Blonde, but it is also like an amalgamation of all of them put through a filter, and stripped of their respective sensuality, feminine power, and charm. What is left is something that is, yes, a beautiful tuberose, but with somehow no identity of its own. I don't know how to explain it, but despite its clever and intriguing name (and a price tag nearly a combination of the aforementioned three), it's got no soul.

at first the smell appealed to me but with just one spray to the wrist is projected like no other thick tuberose took over all of my olfactive senses and as quickly as it appealed to me it just started becoming to heady and cloying i cant imagine anyone spraying more then once with this scent but if they did lol im sure they may possibly clear a room :) over all the quality is wonderful since it is a kilian scent and the smell is pleasant but when you cant even work with one spray its takes all the positives away give this a go you may still like it on to the next

I'm trying a sample of this right now and what I can say is I find it musty! It smells like mold and some smelly weeds. I don't smell any tuberose in it! But if I only smell the sample (while the perfume is inside, and not outside of it :) ) I feel some floral scent, but kinda hard to define. Well, I guess that after you spray it on something, that floral scent is well covered by the mold. Too bad!

I tried hard to like this one, as I got a 7ml refill bottle... but I can't say I do. It's cloying. The beginning smells like tuberose, candycotton and rubber on me. Then it gets better, I smell tuberose and coconut, but I'm still not convinced. I guess it simply is not the right perfume for me. Of all By Kilians, I like this one least.

I am smelling this right now and the first thing I thought was "butter". Then I come in to find the reviews just below me. I can't shake that buttery essence when I sniff and it just makes me sick. Needless to say, I don't like this frag at all. The By Kilians are not nice to me.

I tried this twice and my boyfriend hated it. Said it smelled like rotting flowers. I was kind of neutral. It was a nice creamy floral but not the best musk on me. So between the two of us I've decided that there are plenty of other tuberoses that are a better fit for me.

Oooh this is gorgeous. Every tuberose lover must try, more than once I think. One of the top five tuberose. It seems to bring together the best facets of the others. What I don't smell is coconut. Despite all that, do I want a bottle? I'm not sure.

At first sniff of the nozzle, I get Dimetapp. Sprayed it on skin/clothes and it's not the best white floral/jasmine/tuberose/coconut I've ever smelled. Still getting hints of Dimetapp. Sad pass.

Wow, pure synthetic jasmine and nothing else. Sharp and unpleasant on me. I am so glad I bought a sample!
