Lemon in Zest

This is one of the best lemons I smelled! It's zesty, gorgeous, incredibly rich, slightly gourmand, very unusual. It's not your typical citrus with just airy Mediterranean vibes. This citrus is spicy, has peel-like scent, and is incredibly potent. One drop - and I can smell it all day. It's really one of the best ones I have tried and I tried a lot (Frederic malle Bigarade concentree, Le Labo Limette, Diptyque Oyedo, Diptyque Eau des sens, Jo Malone orange bitters, Eau de Sisley 2, Vilhelm Morning Chess, Mancera Lemon Lime). This one wins over and over again. It's incredibly hard to beat because it is so potent, without the typical floral accents or watery notes, it's incredibly zesty and green without going too vegetative, and it's not simple unlike citruses in Kurkdjian fragrances (Aqua Celestia Forte, petit matin, etc). This one stands out so much and I would pick it over the others. I will hunt a bottle but it will be hard as they are quite pricey.

I absolutely love this underrated gem! It has the most natural lemon scent of any fragrance I have tried and I have over 20 niche fragrances in my collection. It oozes class as it transitions from the initial blast of lemon (which avoids being even slightly bitter by the addition of mandarin) to orange brandy and then soapy clean vetiver. I sampled this side by side with Roja Oligarch, and the Roja came off as pedestrian in comparison. This fragrance is modern and sexy, sleek and powerful, simple, yet mesmerising. It evokes days by the beach in Sicily while also being classy enough to pull off with a white tuxedo at a gala dinner. I've tried Xerjoff Nio too, and that just smells old fashioned and bitter in comparison.

This is a lemon cut in half out straight to your nose. A little sweetness maybe, just a citrus bomb!! First impression, pass. Too much citrus and not enough balance After wearing the sample on SKIN I have changed my view and opinion of this scent guys. If you like Bergamott 22 and Renaissance by Xerjoff than I would take a look at this one. The lemon was a great choice here as it mixes with a little booze note and sugar. I like it. You can't judge this unless you spray it on skin guys. It's like a totally different scent

Great lemon fragrance , I smell boozy realistic lemons , love the vanilla and patchouli in this and the mandarins , a great scent. May have to add it next summer. Very addictive but for the price tag I am not sure , it's just a great lemon booze smell. Addictive gourmand lemon fragrance. Just not sure if I can justify the price for what it is. Yet I have never smelled a better one in this cathegory.

Anybody in EU selling this frag? Would like to buy it :)

The perfect citrus, nothing more, nothing less.

Definitely one of the best lemon-intensive fragrances I've tried, Lemon in Zest By Kilian, the Lugano boutique exclusive, is a very good balance of lemon, a boozy spiciness, and a vague earthy drydown. Per the official narrative, Lemon in Zest is designed to remind us of the liqueur limoncello. It does have the booziness, tartness, and sweetness of the drink without the drydown getting in the way too much, so in that respect it is probably successful. Much like Vodka on the Rocks, I have some reservations about the performance of Lemon in Zest. Projection is good for the first hour or so but it quickly fades, probably to the point that I would need a few sprays on each arm for this to hang around a lot, so it's a tough sell at the higher By Kilian pricing of $295 for 50ml. I might be mistaken, but it seems like the boutique exclusives are now available at Saks Fifth Avenue (online, and in bigger stores) in addition to the By Kilian online store, so they're a little more accessible via that single high-end department store in the US. I'm on the verge of this being a "love" and not a "like" but the performance kind of knocks this down a peg, especially at the pricing, and especially given that I own one of the sweet lemon all stars in Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche. Still, for lovers of lemon, Lemon in Zest is a necessary stop on your journey. Many are bound to love this unequivocally. 7 out of 10

This is the first citrusy fragrance I've smelled in ages that actually smells like lemon - bright sweet freshly cut lemon Love that start. Morphs into lemon meringue pie, with the vanilla and brandy doing their thing. Yummy. Then the base comes in softly, the vetiver and patchouli rounding out this lovely scent. If it lasts for more than an hour or two (citrus tends to disappear so quickly on me), I may have a new love for my limited collection of favs. Oh! Jean Nate' ! That's what I smell :) Loved that splash back in it's day. ** Finale review of Lemon in Zest : Sadly, there just isn't any staying power :( Though I really liked how it smells, start to finish, but I won't be buying it. I did, however, buy a big bottle of Jean Nate! I figure if I have to reapply all day to smell good, I may as well do it with something inexpensive!

As soon as I smelled this, I was reminded of the wonderful time I had in Sorrento, Capri and the Amalfi coast. This is easily one of the most under-rated and under-appreciated photoreal citrus perfumes. There is some merit for the hate it gets for smelling "normal" or "not exciting", but if you've travelled and really tried Italian lemons, and treats, then you will appreciate what the perfume has accomplished. On my skin the zesty / peeling pop gives way to boozy tangerine. It is awesome, lasts 5-6 hours. The longevity is on par with other freshies. 6/10, glad to own it :-) PS. I fully agree: it smells very close to Under the Lemon Trees. This is less "green". It leans more juicy. Catch my drift?

Really nice juicy and bright lemon is the basic run down of this scent, high quality and very pleasant. Where this fragrance excels however is the longevity (on my skin anyway, seems others disagree). Usually fragrances that have a superb citrus opening lose that in the dry down but this carries on for way longer than any other citrus frag I've tried without becoming cloying or smelling synthetic. It changes a bit to become boozy-vanilla-vetiver as it deep dries but still maintains its theme. Great stuff.

This is one of the best, most realistic lemons you'll ever smell. Accented by the boozy quality, it makes it very different , unique and exciting (or whatever the opposite of boring smell is supposed to be) I do like it, but I think it's been discontinued. Can't find it anywhere, not even in Kilian's official website.

This is a fine and realistic lemon scent, but unfortunately it's too simple to justify the price. Pleasant, but not bottle worthy. It is also quite fleeting. 7.5/10

A really fresh and zesty lemon perfume that wind down to vetiver all too soon.

It smells like zesty lemon peels, what a surprise. Honestly I enjoy voyage d'hermes more (different but somewhat similar maybe) and it costs a fraction. For the price I feel that it lacks complexity, though if money is no option it is certainly a nice scent

For me, Lemon in Zest was a disappointment, although one that I could have seen coming if I had thought about it a little. It's perfect for about five minutes, when it's true to its name and just about the most realistic, zestiest lemon scent I've ever tried... and then it veers off into another direction entirely. That's not surprising in and of itself, because any true citrus is fleeting (although they're not all quite as bad as this one), but it's the direction it takes I take issue with. It's too spicy for my liking, and on the masculine side of unisex as well, which I don't prefer for myself. And what's worse: the dominant note to my nose is that chemical, kind of burning one that I also often experience in those "molecule" scents, and that always ruin a fragrance for me. I don't get any hint of booze, so that must unfortunately be how the brandy note turns out on my skin. Too bad - I had such high hopes for this! And I still haven't found a By Kilian that's really for me - I might stop trying this house's output soon.

Big dissapointment. I've worn this half a dozen times and it's a 90 minute experience and only 30 minutes is interesting. Should have never made it past testing to the main line. Huge rip off.

Along with this little, refreshing fragrance inspired by sweet flavors of balzamiki and vanilla from the middle notes, along with the lime sour cream from the beginning of the note, will make the scent more beautiful. The Vatieur is used in this wild Haiti wild veil. Wild turquoise has a tangy, clean, greenish, dense, slightly fermented fruit. So, the Viotier plant does not always have a smoky and dirty aroma! Guerlain Vetiver The best example is Haitian wildlife. When the perfume occupy the space, the smell will come to your mind the same as cutting the new trees and digging out their young skin. Aromatic fragrance with a modicum and a slight effect on other chords. The busiest note of perfume is its beginning. You can clearly see the presence of chords of other notes. The main theme of the fragrance is bitterness and cool with some fruit and sweetness. ! I did not expect it to be so beautiful. I figured the whetsets, petticoats and bitter and sour chords to make combinations of perfume space smooth and depressing. By the time, I experienced the smell of the smell and the atmosphere more pleasurable and pleasant. The delicious and delicious aroma is. The action is very juicy, delicious and cheerful as if you are green in the garden space and no synthetic materials are found in perfume. equal parts sweet and bitter citrus. no booze or anything else. hopefully it grows on me but at the moment, it's lacking that refined 'better quality' vibe that many kilians possess. it would be a lie if i said this scent was 'okay'; it's not, it's disappointing. as soon as i saw it on 'surrender to chance' i ordered it and i got it last week. i've worn it every single day for five days in a row, sniffing at my wrist like a fiend every five minutes or so. i even wore it to yoga this morning (sometimes after REALLY difficult poses or whatever i 'sniff' at a scent as if to give me a little relief or boost), and it still didn't hit me. it's sweet citrus (most likely the mandarin) and bitter citrus (most likely the lemon [smelt like grapefruit to me!]), and not much else. i was looking forward to getting the booze/limoncello coming through, but unfortunately it wasn't there. oud immortel really set the bar high for the limoncello 'accord', and it seems that 'lemon in zest' hasn't reached it. give it a go for yourself, but for me personally, it didn't really reach the heights i hoped it would. sorta kinda reminded me of a montale scent (aoud amber rose), but only slightly. meh.

This is a wonderful, sweet jammy citrus -- I don't get the 'brandy' element in isolation, but I can feel it. About 8 or 10 years ago, at WSC I got a decant of this sent to me from STC and I IMMEDIATELY loved it -- I'm just not a die-hard citrus fan. I don't like it ALL that much -- I don't HATE it, I'm just not a fan. I wish I liked this more, as it captures a delightful sugary sweetness and citrus peel quality, quite unique and not at all found in many other scents, but, it's just mostly sweet citrus jam, which is nice enough on its own, it just doesn't work for me and my tastes. It's now long discontinued, a unicorn for Kilian fans, but for me it's so close but also SOOO far...

A very realistic lemon. Opens up very bright and settles down quickly to a tart lemon. One of the best lemon scents I’ve smelt but aqua viva takes the cake, the bright lemon lasts 2-3 hours than dries to a similiar tart woody scent. Very good but I chose aqua viva due to the longevity and price point although still expensive.

I think for the price tag its is not worth atall. We all know citruses are notorious in terms of performance but still $250 for 50ml ! For fans who like Zesty tarty natural lemony opening, I highly recommend Italian Citrus by Panah. A fellow fraghead send me few samples and was blown away with the citrus.

The opening is the most realistic lemon i've ever smelled. Like you just cut a slice of zesty lemon. However, after 15 minutes it reminds of a kitchen/bathroom cleaner. Those cheap sprays you buy at the grocery store. Such a shame as the opening is truly one of the realistic lemon smells out there.

Interesting scent in the opening but very soon it develops in a limoncello (an Italian liquor) smell that is too close to the various products against mosquitos. Price/value ratio is very low. Market as unisex but in my opinion is more of a woman scent.

first reaction: disappointed. quite meh. it's mostly grapefruit and lemon peel, not much of a kick or anything like that. a bit of a let down, really. not the booziness i was hoping for... gonna try once or twice more...

I didn't even bother try it on the skin because on paper it smells like Brown Sugar from Fresh... Unless this turns into some kind of magic unicorn in the drydown, please do yourself a favor and save $200

Boozy citrus vetiver, sprayed once and instantly remind me of Guerlain L'eau Boisee. It's a nice one, but w Kilian price tag, I'll stick with the Guerlain for 1/10 of the price.

I really like this one, fresh sour lemon with patchouli and my fav note vetiver. I can't smell any booze tho. 8.10

Now even Kilian like Givenchy and Armani makes a new perfume every monday!
