Liaisons Dangereuses

According to Kilian, the notes in this perfume are as follows: coconut flesh, prune absolute, plum, black currant bud absolute, crystallised peach, cinnamon bark oil, ambrette seed absolute, Damascus rose, Bourbon geranium, Australian sandalwood oil, oakmoss extract, Javanese vetiver oil, clear woods and white musks. It is obvious, at first sniff, that this is a very high quality scent that spared no expense in its construction and is beautifully blended...Kilian says this is one of the two unisex scents in this line, but slightly on the feminine side of the spectrum. I tend to agree (at first anyway) as this begins very darkly fruity, sweet and creamy. Prune, plum and currants make it seductively sexy, the coconut makes it creamy and the peach adds a delicate juicy freshness-forbidden fruit is what comes to my mind...you know, the one that tastes the sweetest, but is not necessarily the best for you...very tempting. As this develops (and it lasts a VERY long time) the cinnamon warms it and makes it more sexy and exciting, and the gorgeous rose makes it sensual and so very intruiging. The geranium adds to the floral air but keeps it spicy and the ambrette seeds give it an almost musty air (like something precious kept hidden and treasured in a secret place), that is at once elegant and mysterious. Eventually, if only all liasons lasted this long and were this gorgeous, this dries to an elegant musky and earthy woody dryness-just superb!! Sillage: very good Longevity: excellent Overall: 4.5/5 The description on LuckyScent is just delicious-lovers naked in bed feeding each other juicy fruits entwined in loves embrace and then languishing in the afterglow and sexy muskiness of each other afterwards...this is not necessarily a "dangerous" scent as others have mentioned, but it does invite such a tryst for sure. It's seductive, sexy, sultry and just mysterious enough to make you want more-regardless of the consequences. This is dark warm passion, and the air of secrecy...that adds to the intensity and the pleasure! ;-) I'm a guy, albeit one who prefers other guys, but I think this is just awesome...and the whole locked box and key packaging adds to the mystery and luxury. Some may find this too fruity; but the spices and the basenotes do eventually, take the overly feminine feel from this, and make it more unisex. Not that this smells gender neutral-but this is where male meets femininity becomes lost in it and comes out of it more in touch with its sensual side, while remaining masculine and grounded...

Despite being termed unisex, I absolutely cannot imagine this on a man...it is entirely too sweet. I *almost* love it. I say almost because it is just a little bit too sweet, too cloying, too much of something I can't quite put my finger on. Heart notes blend together to smell like some kind of berry jam, but then the cinnamon kicks in and it's just not pleasant any more and my head starts to spin. After two or three hours, it's much more wearable and the dry-down is beautiful with a musky sandalwood, cinnamon, and just a trace of plum and rose. At this point it reminded me a little of Amouage's Lyric for women, which I adore. I really want to like this, but it just isn't well-balanced to my nose. If I hadn't only used a drop of it to test, I would suggest sampling again in a smaller dose...but I couldn't get much smaller than that. Oh well...guess that saves me about $225 USD! :) --------------------------------------- Update: Okay, I have officially eaten crow. I tried this sample again recently and fell in love with it. Maybe my chemistry was off that day or something, I don't know, but it sure works for me now! I dove in and bought a bottle... It's "lazily" sexy...imagine two lovers laying around nude with rumpled sheets, feeding plums and grapes to each other while sipping champagne. I'll also add that it smells more masculine on clothing and paper than on skin. It's much juicier and sweeter when applied directly to the skin. I was surprised to find that the lock and key in the packaging are fully functional...interesting, eh? I'll be able to lock it up and keep my step-daughter from using my expensive perfume...nice!!! ;)

Liaisons Dangereuses is like jumping up and down on the king-sized bed when you're not supposed to. It would be perfect for the girl who has everything, because it smells like a symbolic summation of everything she has. It's the irresistible beauty of youth, the freedom of wealth, and the gift of originality. The friendly and knowledgeable Kilian reps at Saks were so wonderful to let me try a sample. Thank you, Kim and Will! Liaisons Dangereuses opens with freshly sliced peaches, followed by delicate baby powder surrounding the crisp green leaves of one of the most gorgeous roses I have ever smelled in a fragrance! It literally made me see fireworks in my head. As it warms up on my skin, all of the notes fuse into an intoxicating translucent Summer hue, with the black currants really coming into focus in the dry down. It smells like the appearance of golden orange orchid petals or the scented powder my mom gave me before I had ever worn a perfume, making me feel indescribably pretty and sophisticated. It's like a young girl proudly tromping and wobbling through the house wearing her older sister's high heels. I don't care what the name is, or how much it costs.. I even forgot what I was supposed to be doing today. Liaisons Dangereuses takes you firmly yet softly and wipes your slate clean. Just like that. It doesn't last very long, but nothing of this caliber ever seems to. Would you even want it to? How would anything ever get done? All I'm really saying is, WOOOOO!...that's good stuff.

This is a departure from what I tend to like which are spicy, woody, incense and chypre. I realize this is classified as a chypre but I don't really get any oak moss, or do I get any discernible cinnamon from this. What I do get is just lovely. It starts off almost minty but quickly turns plummy. The mint hangs around and there is a fresh, juicy, moist quality to the fruit. Then it softens and gets a bit (just a tiny bit) warmer, perhaps this is the coconut. Rose makes her presence known and slowly builds and from there the perfume is very well blended and I have difficulty picking out any individual notes. The dry down is musky and here is why I voted for love with some reluctance, I wish it had a bit more in the dry down. More "oak moss" or whatever is used nowadays to convey oakmoss, or some woods. Luca Turin called this "rose jam" and I agree with his assessment. This is one of those cases though where rose jam and jam rose do not mean the same thing, much like yellow green and green yellow in a box of crayons. This is a rosy tinted jam, predominantly fruit not a jammy rose. All in all a lovely, bright, vibrant perfume which may have convinced me that fruity florals could have a place in my heart. If only I could think of an occasion that I would want to wear this for. A picnic or a glass of wine in my backyard with a good friend? It strikes me as a daytime/early evening scent but a bit fussy for something too casual and not dark enough to wear once the sun goes down.

I tried Liaisons Dangereuses after trying 20+ other perfumes. I was eventually looking for an Oriental, a totally different thing. But when I tried LD on, it literally STOOD OUT. After 20 perfumes they all felt the same, but LD was completely different. I didn't want to like it, but couldn't help it. It was unique, I was overwhelmed. I couldn't understand how it managed to be both sexy and romantic. Nowadays, it never happens.. LD is exotic (I feel the fruits, coconut included), exciting, passionate, sexy, mysterious, romantic and a little shy at the same time. What a magic... It smells like a temptation. I imagine an incredibly beautiful woman.. Dark wet long hair, golden skin kissed by the sun, wearing a casual sundress.. She's overwhelmingly sexy but doesn't even realize it.. And despite this, she is classy. Elegant, in a way. Sunny exotic fruits and flowers mixed with the innocence of the plum and peach, followed by the mysterious depths of the musk and the sandalwood. Who is she? Where does she come from? Is she hiding something? Does she want me? Her lips say no while her eyes say yes. This, exactly this, is Liaisons Dangereuses. Enjoy this. Everybody is asking me what I am wearing. But I'm keeping the secret.

This was my first Killian and one of my favorites! It's an underrated gem that fell through the cracks of the Don't be Shys and all the other cheesy overhyped creations of an otherwise very high quality house. This fragrance is addictive. I want to keep smelling it and thankfully I do because it has presence! We re talking about proper silage and longevity, no messing about! It leaves the trail of a smooth peach colored silk gown that cleanses everything it touches. It's fruity and youthful but also feels mature and mysterious. It's not the shallow trendy type. It's very sophisticated and complex. The perfect union of playful juicy fruits and musk, grounded by the solid earthy presence of oakmoss and woods. It deserves more merit but then again I like that it hasn't been picked up by the trendy radar. It 's a well kept secret appreciated by those who are willing to discover it. In my opinion it's worth every dollar. A little goes a long way and it's a 4 seasons delight.

One of my most favorite and expensive perfumes in my collection that I lowkey want to gate keep. But at the same time, I want her to get more recognition that she deserves. Liaisons Dangereuses is this subtle sexy fruity floral perfume. I would describe her as peachy rose but it’s much more complicated than that. At the opening, you can smell powdery sweet peach along with this little sour scent which i think it’s from the blackcurrent that doesn’t make the scent way toooo sweet. It is very unique. The dry down is very heavenly and I can detect prominent rose in it. Wearing this makes me feel like I’m a approachable, yet mysterious and expensive woman. I can’t stop sniffing myself. Of course it’s Killian - so no need to talk about longevity and sillage as it’s SUPERB. Understand that it’s not the best perfumes for all but wearing this makes me confident and I strongly recommend it if you wanna smell beautiful and unique :-)

When I was first exposed to By Kilian, I was skeptical. But one day, I decided to stroll into Harvey Nichols and test what they had from By Kilian. I was thoroughly impressed with A Taste Of Heaven and Sweet Redemption. But my nose would be captivated by none other than Liaisons Dangereuses. The notes intrigue me, with the top half appearing feminine while the base appears typically masculine. The result is that this composition is unisex enough to make me feel comfortable with wearing it with confidence. But a guy has to be comfortable with himself to pull this one off. It has done to women who've smelled it on me what Coco Mademoiselle has done to me before: It seduces you to the wearer but makes you want it for yourself.

This was my daily scent for quite some time. It smells so unique and luxurious. Even someone who knows nothing about perfumes will know that this scent was pricey! I keep reading comments about how it smells like peaches, but I don't pick up that whatsoever - not in the slightest. For me, it is heavy on rose, similar to dried rose petals in potpourri. And that dryness is supported by woody notes. Yet, it is quite sweet. Sweeter than it seems. This is a fragrance for a unique person who wants to highlight their personality, yet not come off as too dominant. It is an inviting scent that will linger around you but never dominate a room. It feels very romantic and womanly on me, but on a man, it would wear very well too.

Perfumes that have a lot of sex, but at the same time very discreet, under the provoking cover of mystery. This cocktail helps me and cheer up and love myself - not with such soft acceptance, you know, but when you need to fuck yourself right in the brain. But with love! Very energetic fragrance! My constant love. Adore it! 10/10

I didn’t like it on paper it smelled medicinal a bit But on my skin! Absolutely breathtaking! Sweet fruity, a bit woody and earthy And I’m not someone that likes fruity scents on me they can feel synthetic right away, but here the fruitiness is so well balanced it doesn’t make me nauseous at all! Is it a groundbreaking scent that worth the price? Not really, but I enjoy smelling it on me It’s definitely much better and much more creative than good girl gone bad for me, they have some similarities but gggb is a bit sharper, this is more sweet and velvety in a balanced way. It has a tail too🙈 as I walk I can smell the perfume spread in the air with me, it’s suitable for summer nights

I shouldn't like this perfume, by default, as I don't like plums but this baby is different. I get a ripe juicy peach on the opening, closely followed by overripe very sweet plum and then rose. The opening notes are pleasantly sweet and tend to linger for quite some time, up to 2 hours on me. Then the leafy blackcurrant starts coming through and plum starts to fade, closely followed by fading peach and rose. Little bit of sweet cinnamon pops up and a tiny bit of musk, nothing else. The opening notes are so delicious I would buy this just so I could repeatedly sniff them but I would have expected better longevity though, especially considering the cost.

It smells a bit like a fruity tropical cocktail that is not sweet. Quite natural smelling. I think my skin has amped up the blackcurrant leaf and geranium note and put it out of balance. I do like the coconut and fruit. I can't say I get that much rose. After a short while the oak moss, musk, Vetiver and wood notes start to do their thing. This is my favourite stage. There is quite a similarity with 4160 Tuesday's Rose Ribes. It's a scent for casual wear for me. Good longevity and sillage. I might love it lol but I can't afford it. Does Kilian ever put a foot wrong. Another success.

I LOVE this perfume. The most prominent notes for me are rose and coconut. The rose isn't a fresh sugary rose, although the perfume is sweet. The rose here is balmy and oriental, however, it is offset by a fresh green coconut that gives the fragrance a light touch. Despite that being said, I would not call this fragrance "light" or "fresh." The rose definitely has an adequate amount of depth and complexity. It is extremely sexy, yet sophisticated. This is not a vixen Kim Kardashian type of sexy. It is more of an Audrey Tautou elegant (but could be dangerous) type of beauty.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ONLY: if you like peaches, plums with a soft backdrop or Rose- you're gonna really appreciate this blend.... Personality, plum is a note i would like to see featured in MORE fragrances.... If done well like in Bobd N0. 9 Andy Warhol [SUNGLASSES BOTTLE] or Tom Ford's Plum Japonais it can be a signature/masterpiece in your collection... Having owned 7 By Kilian's to date- on a personal level, the openings don't overwhelm me, but the heart and dry-down has spectacular all over it!!! ,Full review to come!

I find this to be so much more complex than the fruity shampoo everyone is talking about. I get a dense but light symphony of fruits and rose, wrappeded in a blanket of coconut. It's not overly lactonic, in fact, it's not overly anything. It is a beautifully blended melange that easily lifts up my mood and makes me smile. I feel very unique while wearing it, it doesn't sound like any perfume I have tried, whether in luxury or niche market. I'm in love.

this is not so bad at all! i never had chypre fruity perfumes but laisons dangereuses is a real summer frag! long lasting too! it got me just 1 compliment (from someone i really don't like how odd is that) considering to get me a bottle, next to midnight rain this could be one of my favorites too totally beats the ordinairy champs de elysees!IMO this is better with sillage as well! its kind of a light scent but stays with you all day

I usually don’t like citrus or fruity but this one just has a slight touch of the fruity on the top notes (not much) and it will go away once it dries down. I love its combination of the floral, woody and sweetness. It’s not my number one of Kilian because it doesn’t last as long as the others like Black Phantom and Love. Only 6-7 hour longevity but projection is not bad at arm length.

This is such a beautiful, very ethereal, soft and very unique scent. I can smell peach, coconut, rose, musk and vanilla. It is pleasantly sweet, feminine and has a very nice projection and good longevity. I can smell it after 8 hrs on me. I love to wear it on warmer winter days/in rainy weather, as it brings something very optimistic, warm, and it feels like coming spring.

This is one of those scents that leaves an intoxicating trail, not loud or brash just a beautiful smell of ripe plums slightly spicy with a gorgeous creamy woody dry down. Perfect for season changes . Longevity is ok around 4 hours but I don’t mind that as I’m always topping up h scent regardless. Just try it you won’t regret it

I never thought I'd like something described as fruity, but I like this one. I pulled this out of my samples on a whim today and found the fruit refreshing and authentic. The peach and plum are ripe and juicy. It dries down in a few hours to a pleasant skin scent of wood and ambrette. Nice to wear on a Spring day.

This is my favourite Kilian (I own 3 different ones), I can’t get enough of the peach-plum-blackcurrant-rose accord. I wore it all of last spring and it’s perfect for spring but just sprayed a little bit now at the end of the very difficult November and it immediately lifted my mood! What a stunner!

It might seem simple at first, but it's actually sophisticated. It keeps changing – one day it smells like peaches, the next it's like sweet roses, and then it turns into a clean, musky smell. I love how it's always different, showing new sides every day. It's a really clever and well-made perfume.

Peach and cinnamon! For the first 5 hours ...then the sexiest dry down I have ever smelled... turned in to a soft very sexy peach with musk and vetiver a little bit of amber ...the dry down convinced me this is worth my money... head over heels for this fragrance. I have several back up bottles.

Amazing. Super impressed. The peach is gorgeous. One of my favorite peached together with TT's Draco. This peach is not boozy like the Tom Ford's one. It's soft, rosy, feminine, very radiating and just plain gorgeous! Completely non-powdery too.

Finally a fruity fragrance worthy of the name. Each ingredient is recognizable. An initial explosion of apricot and plum, a body of sensual rose, powdery and fruity notes sensationally enhanced by woody notes. Magistral, 10/10.

This adorable fragrance has got fruity and flowery scent. Peach and Plum and Rose! You can wear it from Spring to Winter both day and night for any occasion. The projection and longevity of this unisex perfume are moderate.

Reminds me a lot of the original J'Adore formulation, also by Calice Becker, with a stronger plummy wood in the base, and that is a compliment coming from me, as I loved the original formulation of J'Adore way back when.

I love this stuff. All I really get is peach and plum, but it smells great. It's definitely more feminine but I still wear it because it smells that good.

Subtle. Rather for women. It reminds me Pure Poison :)

I received a free sample of this with my order from the Kilian website. Just FYI, the refill bottle I ordered from them came with 4 free samples (although there were 2 of LD and 2 of Vodka on the Rocks) and I received my order THE NEXT DAY after I'd ordered it! The shipping was free, which I believe is standard for their domestic orders. Also, my order was sent from a nearby state but, at any rate, the speed of service was impressive! I'd never tried Liaisons Dangereuses and had no idea what to expect. Upon my first wearing, certain notes popped out to me, only to recede and be replaced by others. I could detect sweet fruits and coconut, which quickly assimilated into flowers and ambrette. There's rose here but it's not the star and plays nicely with the geranium. At this point, I'm smelling a lot of ambrette, which is a note that "pops" to my nose for whatever reason. It reminds me of the ambrette in Kilian's Rolling In Love and makes for a smooth transition to the woods in the base. "Well-blended" is a term that comes to mind when I think of Liasons Dangereuses. With a name like that, I expected this fragrance to be, well, something more exciting, or at least more dramatic. You'd think this perfume would have have a standout note or accord, like a polarizing fruit or floral that comes out guns blazing. But no note here dominates to my nose. It's a pretty and well-executed perfume which could be a solid "everyday," easy-reach for many. However, at that price-point, this misnomer is a miss for me indeed. Edit: So, I stand somewhat corrected; I think I'd really use a bottle of this and enjoy it. It's not my favorite genre but the quality is apparent and I appreciate it the more I use my samples. My original review still standing, I actually like this more than I though I would!

Kilian liasons dangerouses is exactly what I imagined while looking at it's notes list but I like it more than my expectation Peach,plum and blackcurrant are not my most favorite fruity notes and they're all very present here but appear in the best possible way.I can also detect coconut but not as consistent as peach or plum.it comes and goes.fruits are almost ripe and sweet but not sickly and rose mingles softly and beautifully.I can't detect geranium which is good since I don't care about it It's fruity,mostly peachy vibe lingers all through it's life.on my skin base notes showup soon.though musk and sandalwood are subtle and softly creamy they're both easily detectable.it has such a gentle,pleasant,beautiful and sensual drydown that I'm sure that if I was rich enough I wouldn't hesitate buying a bottle but now I have to save for more loved ones It's wearable year round,suitable for day wear as well as evenings but I'd prefer it in mild weather Longevity is about 7 hours on my skin and sillage is moderate Of you would like a pleasant,refind and charming peachy rose with enough soft woods and musk mallow to ground and deepen it,it would be a safe blind buy.even if peachy rose isn't your thing I recommend you to try it.I'm also not keen on it but I enjoy liaisons dangerouses(by the way I don't see anything dangerous here) kilian is one of my favorite niche brands.until now I've tried six feminine perfumes from this brand and I liked them all ❤❤❤❤

Just testing it now with no body oil or body cream. It is definitely powdery, creamy, reminds me of a clean creamy body care product which I can't name, perhaps that's musk showing through. As someone commented, it is a very slight comparison to gucci rush but only when it is drying down and it is very distant somewhere, they could be cousins that never met and don't look alike. It doesn't bring out any sweetness to be honest, I can now sense some cinnamon and musky, woody notes. When it dries down and some time passes. Base notes really show through the most I feel. It is not annoying, I am not mad at it. I would probably wear it. But it is a perfume that you all have smelled somewhere- not sure where. If this perfume was a woman, it would be a smart woman wearing it, a calm quiet woman who lives by the ocean somewhere and reads a book with relaxing music in the background, with real fireplace, cosy blanket, home interior is modern but with a lot of earthy woody accents throughout the home. But she is independent, maybe an architect or a business person, or working in an office. This is how I imagine this perfume. If this perfume was a movie, It would be 50 shades of grey but without romance or sex scenes - solid, rich yet calm and sophisticated. I sprayed it again - it definitely smells different as time passes! Unique number, I am starting to like it a lot 8/10

Chypre Fruity? OK, I'll go with that if we get "Oriental and Tropical" in there somewhere. The first 5 minutes are the highlight of this scent-not that I don't like the rest, but it pales in comparison. The top is warm and yummy: discreet citrus, domineering plum, & believable coconut, leading into cardamom. Aldehydic only enough to lift the heavy fruit. The heart is not outstanding. It serves to keep the top notes aloft rather than to speak its own voice. I get some deep rose, maybe Damascan? There is the inkling of a cat-pee note that I sometimes get in fruity scents such as guava or peach. The final drydown presents subdued exotic spice, sandal, and a trace of figgy plum atop a synthetic "white musk", akin to that in drugstore frags. Longevity very good, which it should be at $225 for 50ml of Eau de Parfum. The packaging is gorgeous. Incidentally, there is a decent and easily available California Zinfandel by the brand of Rombauer which is the oenologic twin of this scent. I enjoy it with one particular girlfriend, since my husband won't tolerate it...On that note, I don't find this fragrance particularly unisex. It is a velvety, sexy, womanly scent. I agree with Beth Ashley that it's not "dangerous" in the olfactory sense, but it most certainly could invite a dangerous liasion....

Why in the world does Kilian LIAISONS DANGEREUSES smell initially like a crisp floral green on my skin? Honestly, I am baffled. These are apparently the notes: coconut flesh, prune absolute, plum, black currant bud absolute, crystallised peach, cinnamon bark oil, ambrette seed absolute, Damascus rose, Bourbon geranium, Australian sandalwood oil, oakmoss extract, Javanese vetiver oil, clear woods and white musks. Somehow the above conspire in the opening to alchemically produce the olfactory illusion of hyacinth! Eventually a plummy quality comes through, but it is definitely not sweet--more like stewed compote with no sugar added. To my nose, the dominant floral is geranium (not rose) from start to finish, but this perfume always seems rather green to me, albeit much less so in the drydown, when it begins to smell more and more like a plum-rich analogue to YVRESSE. All in all, this is an interesting composition, which I may try again in the future, under different conditions of weather, mood, and planetary motion. ... Update: according to Aedes, coconut does not number among the notes, and I do not smell coconut, so perhaps the recipe has changed?

So, i"ll let you in on a little secret, the real 'danger' behind Liaisons: Killian's impish grin. Really now, how could I fall for that, I'm a grown woman. But there he was, signing sales of his perfumes, and I'm a sucker for dark, handsome Irishmen with a French accent. But I like this. I often check myself when I say that, because I paid to have my scent profile done and cinnamon was big flaming no. I already knew this from other cinnamon inclusive disasters, but Liaisons does not rub me the wrong way. ON the contrary, it tickles my fancy. HIgh quality plum wood is a note I gravitate towards; having bought it in my second ever perfume purchase, Isvaraya. What I get in Liaisons is a strong sandalwood vibe, which again is my favorite base note. Musk and cinnamon are kept in the back ground, and it is the tangy plum and blackberry that I get. It doesn't change much me, wearing like a chypre throughout, and yum yum for that. This is my favorite scent of this line.

With this name I kind of expected a femme fatal perfume, but it wasn't. I had to change my viewpoint on this perfume (not dangerous) It is a lovely sweeter perfume, Not innocent smelling exactly but sweet enough not to be dangerous, it's still sexy, but not... well, if you smell it you may understand what I am trying to say. It is a pretty perfume and I do like it. I just would have called it something else ;) It opens up with plum, and then mixes with flowers and cinnamon. It winds down to a nice musk and sandalwood. I really lean more towards this being a feminin smelling perfume but try it and see, it may smell different mixing with a mans skin. It lasts a good 8 hours. I almost would have said it is more for summer, but the cinnamon makes it versitile for fall and winter as well. So for spring/summer I would use it as an evening fragrance, and for fall/winter I would use it as a day fragrance.

Great sheer floral with a spicy twist. Perfectly blended, you can smell a fresh rose, but crisp, clean, and then some subltle peach and plum notes. These fruity notes are very light and well blended (I am not a fan of overly fruity notes, here the notes are elegant and not overpowering at all). The light spicy part is again well balanced and opens up in the drydown. You can recognise cinnamom that melts well with the woods that are on the base. What I do not get is the name, that does not match the frag to my opinion. " Liaisons Dangereuses" evokes something sultry, sexy, dark, deep and prohibited. Well this perufme is not. It is fresh, uplifting, modern and very well balanced. I reminds me of "Poussière de rose" just more modern. This is a well done fragrance with a great sillage and a remarkable staying power. A Must try!

I am slightly disappointed. I mean, I was charmed by the name and the packaging, but sadly - the perfume is not quite what you could expect. I was hoping for a sensual, sultry femme fatale fragrance... but I get no "dangereuses" part, and if "liaisons" at all - then it's a couple who has been going steady for a long time, two people who feel comfortable being intimate together. Nothing tempting, nothing to discover - they know everything about each other, and enjoy it. I can smell a lot of plum, it's almost unbearable in the beginning, but it nicely develops into something warmer and more subtle. Later on, I smell rose and peach, entangled in something I can't quite put my finger on. Very pleasant, though. Even though it's not my favorite By Kilian perfume, it's the one I received most compliments on.

this opens with a very dominant peachy smell along with some pleasant florals in the background the projection is minimal and longevity was average where this really shines for me is the dry down unlike the opening which is very sensual and feminine the dry down was where i can see it appealing more to the masculine side the dry down had this beautiful authentic rose scent that i was only fortunate enough to catch sparingly what mainly stuck around was a musky scent that even tho it didn't project to my standards it still was nice enough to please you and anyone who was lucky enough to be in close proximity all and all this scent will appeal more to those who like to keep things low key and personal this is perfect for a intimate and erotic encounter with someone you fancy on to the next

Succulent fresh peach, nectarine and black currant forms the lovely fruit salad of Liaisons Dangereuses on my skin. The first few minutes, the fruits are so green that the fragrances feels even slightly ozonic. However, it soon becomes sweeter with the addition of rose, and the fruits ripen over time but never to the extent of being overripe, they're still crunchy but sweet enough to savour. It then stays pretty much the same, just slightly sweeter, a bit more spicy with cinnamon and more musky. The sillage is moderate and the longevity is almost 12 hours. I actually find Liaisons Dangereuses quite innocent and playful, yet it doesn't feel too girly or childish. And the sweetness is well balanced and not that synthetic. As a well executed fruity floral, I think it's worth sampling.

This is weirdly lovely. Opening with cold plum and peach dipped in ice cold champagne. This is...ehm...kinda naughty scent. I think it's very sexy in a weird way. Asilverfire said it right - it does smell like two lazy lovers after passionate love-making, just joking around in their sheets, there is some BO feel to it and the fruits and champagne. There is a slight honey feel to it, so it's very sweet, too sweet for men, in my opinion. I can feel rose and tiny (really tiny) bits of cinnamon. What disturbs me? It's too soapy. And "soapy" is just not my thing, I always think - better buy soap to feel clean, not spend $$ on perfume. But, if you do like soapy scents - give it a try. It's with very high quality, rich, sexy, feminine and unique.

F$ck!! This is so underrated! I blind bought an older black bottle and I also found a vintage 2009 travel set of the original 8 of 10 black masterpieces- since the travel set arrived first, Liasons Dangereuses is the 1st I’ve sampled from the set. Sexy Modern Oriential. Mitsouko’s great, great, great, great granddaughter. Syrupy plum accentuated by other peach and blackberry, slight acidity, touches of spice and wood slightly aromatic oakmoss, smoldering vetiver. Incredibly well balanced. Above average projection. Will update regarding longevity. I don’t understand the “body lotion” “obscene” “unimaginative” comments. Opens up fem and dries down more unisex. I get a lot of vetiver and somewhat powdery woods. Dior Homme comes to mind.

Notes of Ripe fruit (plum, apple, peach, blackcurrant), warm cinnamon and a delicious rose form a fragrance that sounds yummy. And it smells tasty too. A quality fragrance, an exceptional blend for the sweet tooth, but smells "external" on me. Other fragrances manage to become part of me when i wear them. This one refuses to do so. It is what it is - not to be worn, but to be eaten. Fair enough. p.s. Don't know if it's inspired by de Laclos' novel, but let's say it is, then for all those who say there is nothing dangerous here, then read the novel (highly recommend it) and you will see for yourself how dangerous sweet talk can be. ****(*)

Opens with a delectable sweet peach that is beautifully supported by a soft rose, that results in a fun but elegant first impression. At first spritz I thought it would turn into a must have, but soon after spraying, it started to weaken. I found that I had to keep trying to "find" it...waving my wrist around or trying to waft some up to my nose by flapping my shirt up and down. Then in an hour or two it was gone. I feel like all the money and effort was spent on the opening and not enough on providing decent longevity and scent development. And at it's current price point, that's unforgivable. What a bummer, really wanted to love this.

This category of fragrance — resinous, spicy, stone fruit scents — is a personal fave and I’ve been digging around for all the options out there. I’ve learned from more educated fragrance folk that Serge Lutens may be due credit for this combination, but don’t quote me! Liaisons Dangereuses is an intense take on an already intense type of scent. Other things to try if you like this category: camel by zoologist (less juicy), te noir by le labo (more balanced), mr bojnokopff (bolder formula) by fort + manle

Probably my least favorite of ALL of by kilian perfumes that I've smelled. It just smells generic really. It smells like glade peach orchard air freshener. Like a little girls room. I'm not sure just how dangerous of a liaison you can have with something that smells like it was made by Disney. I'm not saying it's a bad smell...maybe just not aptly named...or perhaps it's a "Lolita" connotation... Smell 3/10 Projection 5/10 Fortitude 6/10 Not a bad smell...just not one for grown ups

The beauty of LIAISONS DANGEROUS is that the dry down is still breathtakingly beautiful. It's easy for a fragrance to open on a high, but to unfold, and ultimately end where Liaisons Dangerous does is remarkable. It's gorgeous on clothes, in your hair, kissing your skin. It's peach blossom glory. But, it's far from dangerous. It's flirty and safe--all girl, not woman. It also has a sparkling note, as if it's part Champagne. Far better than Jo Malone Nectarine & Honey.

Cold peach jam, old-fashioned rose soap, and something quirky, vinyl, perhaps? The subtitle to this perfume may be more apt than the proper name. As noted in previous reviews, this is some seriously incongruent marketing. Not necessarily the other By Kilians, but this one specifically. I think this would be a nice, unique scent for someone whose skin did well with rose. I find the sillage and duration to be respectable. It's a good scent, just not for me.

This did not impress me. It reminds of Cherry Musk Ramon Monegal, as mentioned by a few. This is a very toned down peach-musk concottion. Too easy and will not offend anyone. It stays linear, and judging by the notes, I expected a Kilian bomb, which this one is definitely not. Lasts about 5 hours on me. It would be a safe gift, and will suit everybody. However, for true conoisseurs this might be a bit boring.
