Roses on Ice

I would have never ever sampled scent with this kind of main accords and notes if I wouldn’t have got the 7,5ml travel size from Kilian for free. My first reaction was like “terrible, watery, boring, what the hell is this, definitely not for me etc.” it was summer time and something made me anyway pull it off again and again and after weeks I had to admit that I was totally hooked in this scent! I sprayed more and more and the more I sprayed the more I wanted FB. This scent is perfect on the beach, at the gym or wherever when needed to smell really fresh and clean. This really is like a fresh Gin Tonic in the beautiful bottle. This is not for cold days, it definitely doesn’t work at all. That I can tell because I live in Finland. Longevity is poor and if you are few hours somewhere you really need to spray more on the go so the travel size is practical. FB is really heavy. I’m the wrong person to tell if this is unique or not because like I told this category is not my cup of tea normally. I just can say that this is unique in my collection and I have tested parfumes a lot (many which I haven’t choose) and something which would remind me of this I haven’t met. 🌞 “Roses on Ice” is powerful stuff when I traveled with this my suitcase smelled just like it for over a week! When I first received a decant to try it out, I didn’t think it would easily connect with the Kilian fanbase (which are more used to sweeter dark scents), but got to admire the creativity behind it! This one is using 2 new technologies the “Smell-the-Taste” and the next generation water molecule called Cascalone that mimics the cascading water. The rose is very much present but it has morphed itself into a chameleon with the rest of the composition. I’m struggling to find any similarities with anything else out there that smells like Hendricks gin 🥒 🌹 🧊 and it’s my most used gym scent as well. That way I can enjoy wearing it all year round. It has given a compliment at the gym too! 💯👌 For me overall it’s a big musk refreshing fragrance that you must try on skin and see how cooling and reshreshing it becomes on your skin 💯😉

Roses on Ice is weird and unique aquatic fresh scent which is like Gin Tonic made of Hendricks Gin with Cucumbers and rose water in it. It sounds weird but it’s very beautiful and addictive, interesting as well which is not the right word to describe the most of the fresh and aquatic scents. Roses On Ice doesn’t smell clearly alcohol and if you know the difference between normal, original GT and Hendricks with cucumbers you get the idea of this scent (It’s my favorite drink btw). You just have to add rose water made of baby pink petals. The base of this scent is clean white musky and the texture of the scent gets a bit thicker in the drydown thanks to Sandalwood. I'm very torn on how to review this fragrance. Based on name, honest 2 stars because there is *some* rose but it's like a hidden rose somewhere in the house, you get a hint of it, but if you haven't seen it, you wouldn't notice it's there. On the other hand, the scent itself is beautiful and fresh. Solid 4 stars. A blast of citrusy cucumber and juniper, feels like I'm sipping a gin and tonic while getting my facial. The spice calms down after a few minutes, gets softer and simpler on my skin, like I have cucumber slices on my eyes and the scent is there, but not overwhelmingly so. Very nice, relaxing and a good freshie to have, although I'll have to think about if it's worth the price. Edit: After an hour, the rose is prominent. It's a beautiful fresh green rose, flower, stem, leaves and all, very reminiscent of Diptyque's Eau rose. I have to admit that the more this developed on my skin, the more I liked it.

Very beautiful , and looks stunning on my shelf. It’s almost a copy of creeds silver mountain water which is very unique and like nothing else out there . However those two are super similar , aquatic , ozonic , green and a breath of cold fresh air. They both remind me of fall and winter , sunny alps and outdoor activities like skiing ... not to say it won’t cool you down on a hot summer day. I could paste my creed review here and it would not change :). Prefer Kilians a tiny bit as I love the rose note and the bottle better. Big thumbs up , compliment getter and definitely unisex not leaning feminine nor masculine. Fresh , green , clean and musky , almost a metallic salty ambrette seed note in there, nice drydown , as in silver mountain W the sandalwood and the musk are making a sexy clean skin scent in the end , love it ! Aromatherapy, natural smelling ,definitely daytime and morning to me.
