Some Like It Hot

By Kilian (or Kilian Paris as it is now called in their stores) has a long tradition of creating well-blended scents composed of very high quality ingredients. The range of this house's scents is wide and deep. This one is part of the Love series that contrasts sharply with the Dark series. The majority of the latter has long-lasting and powerful silage. The Russian Love series is far more moderate yet still lovely. The hazelnut, chocolate, Turkish rose, lichee are all identifiable in Some Like It Hot (one of the top 100 films ever made). I would imagine that some (maybe many) would think it too sweet, perhaps even cloying. Not me. I find that it's a scent that induces peaceful vibes around me. I would not wear this to impress. I wear it at home during Covid because it is timidly sensual and sensuous without trying to seduce. It calls to mind (and ear) some of the work of French EDM stars Fakear and Teho. I want to move to the music but not feel as if I am attending a rave. I encourage you to try a sample if you can find one.

It's a very sour rose and it's not for everybody. It's intense, slightly citrusy, a bit nutty but very straightforward, in your face, and blunt. This is not a soft or rounded rose, instead it's a rose suitable for evening only. This perfume is slightly too much for me, and I personally won't repurchase it. It's interesting, but I still prefer my Delina for intense roses, and Diptyque for delicate ones.

That’s definitely a perfumed version of Nutella with a bit of powderiness in the base. I like that it’s gourmand but not sugary sweet. I think it’s just a very well balanced patchouli scent, but a really beautiful one! IG: scent.guide

For me it is a sweet (but not overly) fragrance and I can only detect hazelnut and lychee. The rose is very timid but sometimes she comes alive, too. Edit: After wearing it more often I really start liking it as I also get blackcurrant and stinging nettles accords (but never too green and "stingy") IMO a really well done creation by Kilian! If you need help to acquire it (decants poss), pls LMK! As it is a typical Kilian, you won't get a sillage bomb but the staying power is quite okay. If you love the sweet Profumum's and you want to prevent to choke your environment this fragrance is maybe a good (and "silent") alternative.

Is it interesting? Yes Is it strange? Yes Is it bad? No I can't find the words to describe it. I thing it's safe for office, because hasn't big projection. Just me can feel it. It's not offensive. I expected smth different. I'd like if there was a more nuts. I can't feel any nuts, either any roses. But it's smooth, well blended and soft. I wish they last longer and I wish bigger projection and sillage. I have cold skin type and there are about 0 degrees outside at the moment. I'll try in warmer weather. But it's very unique for sure.
