Byredo Parfums Inflorescence I like when designers take something great from the past, and give it a new twist. One of my favorite websites is a blog called “new dress a day”. Every day, this talented and creative seamstress takes a one dollar dress from the thrift store and redesigns it into a current fashion, with all the before, during, and after photos. All of the things she’s created so far have been beautiful, unique, and creative, all on the tiniest budget. It’s proof that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to produce something great - the trick is to start with a great idea, find something with potential, to have enough vision to see something new in something old day after day, and to have the skills to pull it off – both technically and aesthetically. The downside is that if your creation clings too hard to the past, it’s going to be hard to revision it in the present and breathe new life into it. The same could be said for this fragrance. Inflorescence was a blind test for me and my first ever test of a Byredo perfume. I wore it today because of the name alone. I am wearing a dress with an embroidered floral print; so I wanted a fragrance with a strong floral heart, and the name, Inflorescence, seemed to fit. I had no idea what a treat I was in for! This reminds me so much of my beloved Lauren by Ralph Lauren, which has a heart of freshly picked and green mixed flowers against a background of greenery. That fragrance is what began my obsession with green bouquets where I spent quite a bit of time exploring fragrances like Calyx and Chanel No. 19. I absolutely love the pairing of green notes with freshly picked flowers. Byredo has taken this same idea – a freshly picked bouquet, paired it down to just a few flowers and amped them up, and put the green notes center stage. I would say that this is more of a bouquet of greenery with a few simple but strong flowers in focus. On my skin, the green is so fresh and vivid and just slightly herbal. On the first testing, I would have sworn that it had fresh cilantro and celery notes. Later, it dries down to a rather loud and clear bouquet of super green and slightly damp lilies of the valley softened by vivid pink and coral roses. It’s absolutely lovely and a very modern twist on an old classic. Thank you, Byredo.

“Inflorescence” starts off as a beautifully sparkling green and white floral. Underneath there is a medium current of good lemon reminiscent of Chanel „Cristalle Eau Verte“. After the sparkle is gone around 2-3 hours in, it turns into an expensive lemonade fragrance (think of Sprite or Mitsuya Cider but high-quality), that leans female, but not in a coquettish way. Also, you do get a defined undercurrent of white florals - could be jasmine but not sure - that I find exceptionally lovely. When I had to wash off the fragrance after roughly 6 hours, it was still moderately strong. “Inflorescence” is an exciting fragrance - ageless, elegant, refreshing, interesting, yet wearable. It’s a beautiful summer scent for female (or somewhat gender-nonconforming) professionals. To be honest, the only reason I will not buy it is the price. Where I live it’s about €330.- for 100ml and this much it is not worth to me quality-wise. Firstly, because with „Cristalle Eau Verte“ Chanel offers a great-yet-cheaper alternative and secondly, because I keep on thinking I could get a Frederic Malle for that same money. Of course, this is just my personal set of limits, but for me to pay over €300.- for 100ml (or less) of a juice, it must be overwhelming, not just very good. However, if the price point does not concern you, do consider Byredo’s “Inflorescence”. TL;DR: Well-blended sparkling white lemonade 🍋

Walking down a city lane today I caught a piercing whiff of this on a cool young thing striding out in a worldproof sound bubble. Almost wondered if it was Diorissimo, though it seemed more lemony. More like Envy. Straight to the shop then, to follow up. So for me it's been a totally addictive mix of fresh crushed stems, citrus and less-sweet flowers such as Lily of the Valley/Daphne perhaps, followed later with a dry/creamy combination that is quite strange, like freshly saddle-soaped tack spread with pulverised gardenias. There's a magnolia tree in my garden, but that lemony peppery scent wasn't there. Rather the citrus was directly clean and zesty. People tend not to like powerful citrus. There can never be too much for me, if nothing else jars. The creamy sweet/acid note seems the one jarring element to this. It's the thing I've always recoiled from in fragrances like LouLou and Poême. Never have chased down precisely what it is. If anyone could enlighten me I'd be grateful. Still, the absolute delight of the opening notes has me hooked and the leathery dry down is interesting, so this one is under serious consideration.

My first Byredo and by no means is it my last. Inflorescence is a lush, sharp green fragrance, I do pull out LOTV and some magnolia, but the scent is predominantly grassy and very botanical to my nose. Theres also something which gives off a citrussy undertone in this as well, its also very, very strong! 3 spritzes MAX and everyone around me could smell it, but despite it being so nuclear on my skin, its also quite inoffensive at the same time and smells very summery, it conjures up images of wearing white linen trousers and a white t-shirt and running through a wooded meadow of wild flowers and green grass Longevity is decent on my skin, I can get 7 hours out of 3 spritzes, but by 2hrs it does become quite close to skin, but throughout wear I will get little wafts of it from time to time, its really quite lovely! Overall, I'd say this is a unisex scent to my nose, it doesn't really seem to fall into either vein of being masculine or feminine smelling, it just smells good and is for people that want to smell good and feel like they're running through said wooded meadow, I love it!

Since I usually can't stand lily of the valley or freesia, it's bizarre that I love this fragrance. I guess the combination of those two scents together erases their individual unpleasantness to my nose. I think this is beautiful! It's uplifting, easy to wear, crowd-pleasing, me-pleasing, unique, and feminine. It costs more than I would like to pay, but doesn't everything? Whenever my husband like any fragrance of mine, at all, he claims, "Oooo - smells like orange blossom." (It doesn't matter if it smells like road tar, if he likes it, it's "orange blossom".) When he smelled Inflorescence, he said, "Mmmm - I LOVE it when you wear orange blossom!" In this case, I get what he means. The orange blossom we're used to in California (as well as the jasmine) has a airy, sweet quality that is prevalent in this perfume. As I said before, I don't get freesia or lily of the valley...so I'm happy to call it orange blossom if that's what suits it. I read a review below that compares this to Jo Malone Orange Blossom, and I absolutely agree!

Not like Jasmine perfume I've used before, Jasmine is not the dominant note in this one. It’s a combination of white flowers and a barely noticeable rose as well. Smell like a mist of fresh-cut flower concoction yet it has little green from the flower stem. Or it smell like freshly watered flower garden in spring that touched your skin. Smell familiar like flower dish soap, fresh linen, or mature baby cologne. Not long-lasting but it smells rare and realistic to flowers and you can smell the jasmine after the perfume dry-down. Bought this perfume during my business trip to South Korea and everytime I smell it, it reminds me of my spring-summer 3 months trip in Korea, also it does smell like the perfume that Korean girls wear- soft, barely noticeable, and smell like flowery soap. Definitely overpriced for the price of Byredo but I can't find the similarity to other perfumes. Oh! it also smell like a modern cotagecore and Monet's painting <3

Quite an interesting one. Firs of all - Inflorescence is an extremely functional perfume. It stays crisps as it dries down, has great longevity and a moderate, but noticeable sillage. The floral profile presented here is pure enough that it wouldn't annoy most people. Now moving onto the scent itself: indeed the Byredo signature base ("cool plastic") is very prominent. The base is mixed with LLOV and magnolia at about 15/70/15 ratio. Upon spraying there's a prominent citrus tone - almost grapefruity - green and a bit bitter. Unlike many floral offerings there is no musk or wood base notes in this perfume, so what we get is endless florals pushing through. I don't particularly think of jasmine as a base - it's almost freesia, but much cleaner. Essentially a very 21st century Diorissimo. I like it!

I wasn't expecting to face a big like here as I usually dislike lily of the valley dominant fragrances but something makes me wanna smell it again and again LOTV is the strongest floral note with it's creamy,green facets but I can also detect whispers of other flowers It's a very beautiful springy floral scent.simple and fresh at the same time elegant and ladylike.it reminded me forever and ever Dior which I also like.I've sprayed it six hours ago and I cab still smell it easily so while being light it's not weak or faint By far this one and rose noir are my favorite byredos but I'm not going to add them to my wantlist yet as their price tag makes me picky.I have to test it side by side with forever&ever Dior and diorissimo which seems to be another similar perfume and choose one between them

Got a sample. It’s my favorite Byredo so far out of a handful (Gypsy Water coming close, Mojave Ghost, Biblioteque, Animalique, and Sunday Cologne were the others)....its got this addictive scent trail that I attribute to lily of the valley. I had a musk that had that scent note (Swiss Arabian Musk Malaki oil) and was the best, sweetest, non screechy, non warm musk I’ve ever used. That’s how this is for me. The opening of the freesia gives a bit of screech, as always, but the lily of the valley along with bright magnolia really make this so pretty. Then with the sweet and mysterious jasmine note, gives it some depth. The rose is almost not there, thank goodness. Best floral I’ve smelled this year. May get this one for Spring.

Initial impression- smells like a fresh, wet bouquet of flowers upon first sniff. This is the type of scent I’d wear if I wanted to pretend I was a florist at a cute little shop. It’s a lovely light white floral with a somewhat creamy drydown. After that initial photorealistic flower scent began to fade— it was still very floral but I swear it began to smell a little like the fragrance in sunscreen?? I enjoy sunscreen scents though, so it was a pleasant surprise for me. Sillage-wise, it’s very close to the skin, you can definitely be generous with the sprays. Lasting power is also pretty short; I wish Byredo made a travel size of this one that would be easier to carry in a purse.

The first I thought was, wow, finally I can smell real flowers! Like sticking your nose into a magnolia flower! I hope my nose still can remember the organic smells and not only the notes in a perfume. After 10-15 minutes the rose and lily of the valley presented themselves. Like a stroll in a beatiful blooming garden, very romantic, very fresh and kind. I use perfume for myself, and I hate living in other peoples perfume clouds, so I don't think that they have to live in mine. I spray on my chest, so if you feel my perfume, you are too close!! ;-D So sillage and projection is nothing I really can comment on.

As soon as I sprayed this beauty on my skin my memory brought me to my childhood and happy moments when I was running in the spring forest in Russia.... It was filled with blooming double buttercups ( also they are called globeflowers). It's definitely a spring scent and lasts longer in spring temperatures on me.... Unfortunately it's not a long lasting scent but I just couldn't resist it and bought a full 100 ml size anyway... Whenever I feel down I just spray it all over me and immers in happiness.... I can see this perfume as perfect scent for a wedding as it's very inoffensive and delicate.

This is by far my favorite from three of the Byredo I’ve tried(la tulipe, Blanche and this one) it’s a fresh floral scent, very good reflection of fresh lily of the valley and freesia, not the old fashion aldehydic but more fresh modern lily of the valley and more youthful and fresh. My problem with it is that it doesn’t last long at all, 30mim-1hour and it’s gone. Im not sure if it is worth the high price tag but may be look for used or discounted. It reminds me a lot of jo Malone wild bluebell in the floral freshness, not quite the scent but the freshness of the perfume.

Love at the first sniff. When I first smell it, I can smell frangipani, straight up frangipani even when there’s no frangipani note in here. Frangipani and Magnolia but in a sensual way, really mature, elegant and sophisticated. This is the smell of feminine to me, I can imagine myself wearing a white dress dancing under the Magnolia tree on a spring day. Absolutely gorgeous scent, definitely my all time favorite white floral scent. Only problem was the price, I still couldn’t buy the full-size bottle yet but definitely need it asap.

This is a beautiful, sweet and soft Muguet perfume that I cannot stop smelling. I don’t understand the indifference. It is a powerhouse floral with a modest profile. It is gorgeous and light, perfect for my multiple spray days. Don’t be fooled...it is still there even though one does not smell it strongly. Perfect for Spring and Summer office wear, but I will try it in winter as well. It captures my attention every time I wear it. It doesn’t remind me of Jessica McClintock but it does remind me a tad of a less intense Diorissimo.

I don't know if I'm crazy but aside from the lily of the valley and carnation fresh and very green opening and soapy yet I get some type of oriental resin. Could that be the jasmine? No idea but it's very lovely. I do get something incensy... This is how I wanted Baiser Vole to be! That one is a bit too dry, a bit powdery and well, regular Lily rather than muguet. I guess I'm a bigger fan of this Lily than that. Would be perfect in warmer weather but I'm wearing it right before Christmas.

Springtime dewy Lily of the Valley, followed by an accord of roses, freesia and jasmine. Mostly Lily of the Valley and rose though. Sweet, delicate, subtle. Moderate sillage and longevity. Would like it to be stronger and longer, but overall, this is an excellent spring perfume. The fragrance is very pretty, and fresh. The Lily of the Valley is realistic and natural smelling, right out of a woodland garden. The hint of rose gives it a rich undertone. Uplifting, happy perfume!

Very prominent breezy lily of the valley with freesia.Lily of the valley in here is the one very similar to Dior’s vibes.I don’t get any rose nor jasmine.Reminds me a musky floral beautiful handmade soap from good old times.A little sharp at the beginning but then it’s settling to a gorgeous springtime floral trail.Pretty decent wear,I can feel it good 3-4 hours but in my car where I sprayed it on a blotter around 2 days.Perfect spring addition.

Instant love! This has all the lotv/white rose beauty of Existence without the aldehydes icepick to the sinuses. Wish they would have disclosed the perfumer here, but I have a hunch. My new fave lotv, beating out every iteration of Guerlain’s Muguet by a mile. Two light layers (spray/dry/spray) over monoi oil moisturized skin gives 6+ hours of a 3ft scent bubble and intoxicatingly fresh and glowy silage. Immediately dropping into heavy rotation.

Spring breeze in a bottle! I fell in love with it 😍 It is such a fresh and energetic floral scent. I especially like its drydown since the bubble-gummy jasmine became noticeable to my nose then. Actually, I didn't expect it to like this much it but now it is on my to buy list 😅 I highly recommended if you like fresh floral scents. It has a good sillage and longevity, too!
