Rewriting this review after having it for over a month. This is such a comforting smell. Like a candied rose water swimming pool and concession stands spinning sugar and I get an awesome patchouli sprinkled in there. It's like having red tinted sunglasses on vacation in a mysterious place lol. That's what it reminds me of. The juniper is awesome! The longevity is the only issue. If only this lasted longer. It's my favorite Byredo. Alto Astral number 2. This needs more love. I wish it stayed forever and wasn't a limited release.

Honestly I’m not impressed.. Have hard times to describe it other way than “another byredo stuff you can barely differentiate one from another”.. for me it smells like something in between gypsy water and mojave ghost. First sprays I could not even catch the top notes, hardly anything, to be honest. It started revealing itself after some time and six sprays. It is just okay. Nothing special.

It’s nice at first - but quickly dries down to straight sandalwood. Which I don’t like. I can see why some compare it to alto astral - but the drydowm of alto astral is much more enjoyable to me. At least on my skin.

I had the chance to be given a blotter as I was walking by their boutique on melrose Avenue in West Hollywood. Initially I was pleasantly surprised because the opening is floral and summery. Thirty minutes passed and the perfume transformed into alto astral. A sample I had to throw in the trash because I seriously dislike that heavy artificial cheap coconut DNA that they both share. Unfortunately another disappointing fragrance by the brand. I enjoy their Scandinavian philosophy but recently they have been into the glossier clean teen aesthetic and that is not my vibe. Maybe another target audience will like it more 🤷🏻♂️

House cleaner but make it chic and likable. Honestly as weird as that sounds I genuinely like this one for some reason.
