Yes I Am Glorious

A friend of mine brought me some goodies from Europe. This one in particular to complete my collection of all four Yes I Am 'lipstick' flanker since I can't seem to find it anywhere in the U.S. or online for that matter. IMO the •original (red top Yes I Am) is the "best" one of all. Its sweet, fruity, and yes it starts off smelling like Kool-aid. Actually, I think they all start off that way. Thankfully that doesn't last long, so when the initial smell dies off, they all are nice in their own way. •The Purple one, Yes I Am Fabulous, doesn't seem Purple at all. Its more white florals, Magnolia, and Apricots. Its nice, but not purple. •The Yes I Am Pink, is a softer version of the original. So for this one, the Nude lipstick, Yes I Am Glorious, I wasn't expecting much of a difference, i just wanted the hideous, plastic Barbie doll lipstick bottle. They are a bit tacky, but in a girly fun way. Anyway, First impression: Ohh, the bottle is actually nice. I think its the frosted Ombre Nude color that tones down the sillyness. It still has that plastic top, but it looks nice. Its like the classy older sister with good grades. First spray: "Oh wow, very nice"! Its really, really nice. She is definitely older sister and pretty too. Not older in mature. This fragrance can definitely be suitable from young to older. I run away from Magnolia because there's just something about that flower in perfumes or the actual tree that just makes me so nauseous. This however, is down right delicious. I cannot believe how much I really like it! •Yes I Am Glorious matches its name. Its a warm comforting Cashmere kind of milky, creamy, and velvety soft white florals. She's not loud. She's a delicate and proper young lady. However, this good girl, per say, definitely has fun in the sun. Something about the mix of peach, mandarin, and either or all florals gives this fragrance a fun Summer vibe. But... gosh, that Cashmere creaminess could also be a good cool weather scent too. It can be worn anywhere, by anyone. Um, well, to state the obvious; its a feminine scent. I read somewhere it was unisex. Not in my opinion. Its a great scent to be nude in after a shower, to sleep with, to be intimate in, or a pretty every day, any occasion (office, school, errands). Its quite a surprise, really. Definitely wasn't expecting to like it this much. If you like soft, Cashmere creamy, soft peachy fruity sweetness, you'll enjoy this. I can't imagine anyone turning their nose away in disgust, so it would make a nice gift for a spouse, a mom, sibling, friend, or the co-worker you don't know what to get. Hey, at least she won't surprise you at the office with an offensive perfume. On me, it lasted the entire day, so longevity has been great.

This really grew on me while testing. At first I thought it was just another pleasant, but unexciting peachy fruity-floral. But there's more to it! First of all, the peach is done just right, at least for my taste. Juicy and fresh in combination with the mandarin orange. Neither too powdery, nor too shampoo-ish, nor overripe or syrupy. I didn't notice it on the blotter, but on my skin the fragrance develops a really nice creaminess that is broken up by the cedar extract. It's a similar effect to the masculine, scratchy notes that are blended into the sweet, feminine perfumes of the Herrera Good Girl line, only much softer. I'm not saying that this smells like Good Girl, it's just this one thing they have in common. After trying this more often, I also started to really get the tropical frangipani in the mid notes, which I couldn't single out at first. So, Yes I Am Glorious is a delicious mix of peach juice, sweet summery flowers and a slight woody edge in the drydown. I don't find this very milky or milkshake-like. It's creamy, but for sure not a realistic olfactory reproduction of a milkshake. I find it less sweet and milky than the original Yes I Am and overall lighter. Even though I'm not a big fan of the clunky name or the disproportionately shaped lipstick bottle, this hits just the right spot for me. It's the warm weather peach fragrance I didn't know I need.

It's very pleasant and sweety scent. Firstly, I can smell milk, peaches and exotic flowers. The base notes are one hundred percent milky with sandalwood and cedar. The longevity and sillage is for the most part of the day and more on clothes. It's more suitable for cold weather. Interesting that I smell milk in the winter and only exotic flowers in the summer (that is reasonably, I think). In any way, it's a very good flanker, more creamy than the original Yes I Am. It's beautiful even after many applications (but three or four applications are enough), not cloying. The bottle is gorgeous, very soft and "warm" color. My real love!

This is the milky sweet lactonic peach tiare flower i was looking for. My boyfriend said it was britney and he likes it and its pretty good! But to me its way better and more interesting warmer and creamier than britney. Has a slight element of issey miyaki only younger sweeter milkier more fun and cheaper so its easy to overspray and play the sassy chic. Good longevity and silage. A great buy and im a self professed bonified obsessed perfume snob. Worth a full bottle imo.

I enjoy this fragrance. It might not be the most original out there, but it makes me feel good. The beautiful and juicy combination of peach, mandarin and tiare (that I get most in the opening) is nicely blended with the milk which gives it this creamy, warm lactonic feeling. In my opinion, it's not overly sweet or cloying, it's very pleasant and light. Longetivity and sillage is more than decent. I might get full bottle soon.
