Cadillac

Just said "Goodbye!" to this discontinued gem. I wore the last 1-1.5 ml to a Christmas concert here in Bucharest - a great event uniting The Radio's Big Band, Bucharest Chamber Orchestra, The Radio Trombones, Adi Nour and Viorica Pintilie. Having years siting on my shelf it got even stronger than it initially was. I was wearing a monster in a sea of BR540 clones, Acqua di Gio, Sauvage, Versace Signature and other mainstream ones. This one is in the same category as Bentley for Men (the original), but cleaner... It opens up fresh, with the main players being grapefruit and geranium, but having a spicy-woodiness in the background that comes to front later on.. As it dries down, along side with those spices and woods come into play a dry floral note (chamomile maybe) and a slight smokiness. It is manly, classy and a bit old-school. As for performance, it is a beast, but it is not that bothering as a strong oud scent. Projection is great and lasts till I wash it off. Think I will buy Bentley for Men edt to replace this beauty..

I bought this fragrance unsmelled online for $10 for 100mL based on reviews here and elsewhere. To me, this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Shamu1, a reviewer on another website, likened this to a lighter version Opium pour Homme and this is right on the money. Opium has a tendency to be cloying, so a lighter version is to be welcomed. There is a definite oriental vibe to this one, despite the apparent absence of vanilla. The incense is all pervading and this is augmented with spices and woody notes. The longevity is solid (5 or more hours) and given the choice of receiving a free bottle of Opium pH and Cadillac, I would choose Opium, but only so I could return it and buy three bottles of this one.

Cadillac by Cadillac. Oh wow. Just arrived from Fragrancebuy. What a stunner! Car fragrances get overlooked. I get it. How good can they be, right? Bentley Intense is one of my favs, and my Jaguar frags are loved as well. Cadillac bears an old school sophistication. Feels like something from the late 80s. Cinnamon, incense, cloves. Strikes me as something for older guys, or folks with more mature tastes. I'm also getting some grapefruit here. Helluva bargain...if you can find it. Looks like it has already been discontinued. Ebayers are asking ridiculous prices. Check discounters. I paid approx $16 USD for a 100 mil tester. Highly recommended.

These reviews are so odd. One person loves it, the next hates it. For me this is a wonderful smelling fragrance. You might say, as one reviewer did, that it reminds you of Joop. But only in a passing way. It has a one of a kind note in it that mesmerizes me. I like it quite a lot.

This site does not have the intense Verizon of this listed. I was lucky enough to come across three bottles of it. It’s called cadillac luxe. If you like this luxe is a million times better and so damn good.
