CK One Collector's Edition

Heads up on this one, flying under the radar... What we have here is another CK marketing goof-up, as this was to complement a Kardashian-inspired 2018 Winter line. This campaign showed the Kardashians, A$AP mob, and runway models, among others, with a soundtrack by Solange. All were photographed gathered on quilts inside a dusty-looking barn at the height of the late 2010's barn-core craze. One could argue this was the tipping point where society began to use barns more as backdrops than for agricultural purposes. All this is bottled inside a gorgeous Americana-inspired quilt patchwork, matte white, CK one bottle. This is one of my favorites in my CK One flanker collection and one of the best recent releases—the dry down features Ambrettolide, an ambrette seed musk. Remember, the CK line is often the speartip of many chemical companies', like Givaudan, fragrance trials. You end up with some fantastic stuff in these seasonal flankers. This holiday Collector's edition could easily be worn year-round like rosemary and pine-based marine freshies dominate the summer months. Its resinous, green scent is distinct, with a bitter character that is hard to pin down. The birch really comes through nicely. Above average projection for a CK One, this goes for hours. Lots of surprises here!

Many have heady things to say about this. Shut up lol It's the best parts of Acqua Di Gio and Aventus without the qualities of aventus I honestly find annoying and custom designed for the bitchmade. Suitable for the youngblood and adult enough for the oldhead. I've been wearing this for a few years and I'm precious with it because I know I'll be bummed when it runs out. I wish it were a perennial offering. At least those who run out have a very handsome bottle once it's empty. Die young and leave a sexy corpse or whatever the necrophile baiters say, right?

So... after some digging around, here is the story: The design is inspired by the Kardashian barn campaign (Spring 2018 CK Advertising) and a variation of the print appears on all the Calvin Holiday sets. As for the scent, it is a nice twist on the original CK One fragrance and can stand on its own two legs as a contender. It is one of the better CK One flankers in the recent history... all and all, minus the Kardashian thing, it is a winning combination that has already found its way into my collection!

What a surprise. To me, wearing it in the morning with 2o celsius , it strats with a blast of citrus, leading the way to the ambrorax and montblanclegendvibes. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Decent longevity, but it fades to a skin scent after 1h. Reapply if you can. :) Second day: 3hours top on longevity. This is trussardi my land twin. Blind buy? Only if is a bargain.

Tried this again and must say it's excellent if not really anything revolutionary. The above note listing seems incorrect both to my nose and what I've seen elsewhere online. This is not like the regular CK one but more of modern imo men's fragrance along the lines of Montblanc Legend/Legend Spirit, Versace Dylan Blue (definitely lots ambrox here!) and CK Eternity for Men EDP. The opening has a lovely crisp citrus then later there are most definitely some green and woody notes (rosemary & pine needles I read on another site) and it dries down with some definite ambergris/ambroxan vibes. Long-lasting with good sillage for me. Like I said nothing new as such but it's a surprisingly strong release for a limited edition product! Difficult to understand why CK didn't save this for a regular release as they would've no doubt had a decent selling product, as it is this is an under the radar gem imo.

Tried it again today, hot weather 32 Celsius. I think this works in the heat but would be better in cooler or at least milder weather. The notes above are surely incorrect as I pointed out way back in December last year, this is a modern green-tinged scent (rather than the exotic fruity notes above!), reminiscent of quite a few so-called 'blue' fragrances. I still can't quite put my finger on what it reminds me of exactly, maybe a mix of scents or one I've smelled in passing. Anyhow I increasingly pick up on a modern ambrox aroma/vibe in the dry down, pretty 'synthetic' in style but it's not too off-putting (I actually prefer the dry down to the opening) but I can imagine it not being to everyone's taste. I still like this one, not too bad, lasts pretty well too.

Unisex for winter Leans towards more masculine than feminine to my nose. I really like this one. The opening is citrus, pineapple and papaya. The drydown is gourgegous woodsy/ santal green tea and musky. The scent is both green, sporty and clean. It has spicyness and freshness in a well blended balance. The drydown is to die for ! Im quite fond of it. The silage is moderate and longevity is above average. A really well done flanker of the original. Much more oomph in this one.

I'd love to try this, just to echo the previous comments it's possible that the notes above are incorrect, depends on which sites you look at but some mention pine, juniper & rosemary in the mid with Bergamot, Rhubarb and grapefruit up top. Bass notes of birch, amrox and ambrettolide. It also seems to have been given the name Collector's edition-'Quilt'. Not sure if that's official though.

I sampled this today, it really reminds me of something, not quite sure what it is but perhaps Montblanc's Legend Spirit among other things. Very nice if kind of unremarkable. At the right price I might give it a go. Will definitely try it again first though as I have a rotten cold right now!

It's more masculine than unisex as the OG, it doesn't seem to be like a "summer" classic CK one, this one leaning more formal, end summer-fall essence. But be aware,. I've seen some people are comparing this with Silver Mountain Water by Creed, and that's nuts

Bought it by impulse at an outlet for 9.99 $ and got really surprised by the smell and quality. Im really into woody and heavy perfumes but sometimes like the feeling of feeling "light" and this perfume really does it. Feels sporty, fresh and summery!

First day impressions. I hope my bottle is not fake juice or gone bad — shouldn't as it's a fairly new release. The issue is that the opening smells very much like alcohol or some old school fragrance. There are still few bad things before the good. It's very weak projection/longevity, even for CK standards. The notes are not correct — mostly green, lightly fruity. Compared to other CK One flankers this one feels very basic, to be honest almost like those cheapies you buy in local pharmacy. The good — I do like the dry down. Like others have said, it has that very inviting warm green feel.

CK One Collector's Edition by Calvin Klein is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for women and men. Top notes are pineapple, green notes, mandarin orange, papaya, bergamot, cardamom and lemon; Middle notes are nutmeg, violet, orris, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, freesia and rose; Base notes are sandalwood, amber, musk, cedar, oakmoss, green tea and green notes. I thinking the smell like Montblanc legend + YSL L'homme

I bought this about year ago and I didn't like it because the birch was so dominate note. So I left it to closet. Today I was hoping the smell was changed but there is no difference. The smell reminds me the woodshed in my summer cottage. And I wonder why some one wants to smell like woodshed.. The smell is not so bad but it is not for me.

It's just a lighter version of Versace Pour Homme. The dry down is 95% similar to VPH and last longer than VPH. That's all.

This was a big surprise for me. At the first two times I tried it I thought it was weak and not at great so I left it on the shelf for about 3 month. So yesterday I tried again and wow I thought whats up? After about an hour "BANG!!!" it got really loud on me, I had to sniff the spayed area to make such it me that smelt that good. I my plesant surprise it was and it was over the moon. An hour after that I popped across the road to see my mate. As soon as I walked in he said, "Wow man, that really strong"! He could smell it more that 6ft away, and I smiled with my biggest and best smiles :-D! In night I usually spray something me before crashing out but it was still going strong. Today I awoke still smelling it on my wrist and it was lunchtime before I reapplied a two squirt blast and 6hrs later it still going strong. I think the weather is playing it part as the sun has been shining all week here in wet and windy Wales. The fragrance is wonderful smelling as I love it. Really impressed with this one and what a lovely surprise! 8.5 out of 10 for me!

The notes listed in many reviews below can't be about the same fragrance. I get pine, rosemary and those kinds of green, herb and wood volatiles, as mentioned by TrephineArtist. Some camphor. Fruits and florals? Vaguely, from 2 feet. Nose to skin they are deeply under the green. I bought a small bottle to test and like Collectors enough to order 2 new bottles, of 200ml each! I'm going to zhuzh it up with essential oils. Perhaps a version with excellent rose and jasmin? Or punch up the Mediterranean volatiles? I like what's in this juice already - medicinal and clean. Update: frequent favorite for summer nights. A beautiful cologne.

I bought it because it is a Morillas' creation and since he has created some of the juices I love the most I had to give it a try. I had the original CK One when it launched, million years ago, when I was very young. So i am comparing this new one with the old , original version + what my memories made of it. I find the Morillas' new version way more masculine than the original CK One, which was, for me, a truly unisex fragrance, this one... not so much. I will use it the next days and see how it goes. I like it, but not as much as I remember the original version. Let's see. Longevity is very good, 8 hours+.

This is gorgeous, I sprayed it simply expecting it to be the same old thing, what a surprise, it is completely different. There is no hint of CK One, it's a totally new composition, the dominant notes for me are violet and pineapple, both work so well together, amazingly well. Longevity is about four hours, however sillage was very good, very noticable. Definitely the best flanker for quite a while, the bottle is fun. Don't miss out.

Spring Summer Scent: 4,5/10 Starts off with a blast of citrus and grapefruit, gets woody, warmer and a bit green in the dry down. Performance is not the best. It's pretty safe but also a bit boring imo, nothing out of the ordinary. Sillage: 2,5/10 Longevity: 3,5/10

This is dirt cheap online now. I see it going for 12.5$ for a 50ml bottle which is very low even for Calvin Klein standards. I think they are getting rid of the stocks and this will become unavailable after. If you liked this the time to get it is now.

Smell is quite different to the original CK One,but calling it collectors edition I think will make people confused thinking than its a simple new design,smells much more winterish and adult than the original

Thank you for correcting the notes. I'm still wearing this and enjoy the BLAST of green resins. It was so cheap a year or two ago. If you can still manage to find it cheaply, it's fun.

Still smells accessible, masculine, fresh, a bit brash, and sporty. It's getting stronger, sitting in the bottle over the years. Wonderful.

A lighter version of Aqua Di Gio's Absolu. Lol.
