Eternity For Men

I’ve always loved Eternity. That soapy, clean, just-showered-with-expensive-bar-soap vibe? Timeless. Classic. Fresh as hell. But let’s be honest—the performance? About as strong as a polite handshake. The EDP tried to fix that. Same DNA, just turned up from whispering to clearing its throat. Better? Yes. Beast mode ? Nahh, Far from it I still love spraying this stuff though. And well. You better love spraying it. Like every hour or 2. I mean You really can’t hate it. Who wakes up and says, “Nah, I don’t wanna smell clean today”? Nobody. That’s who. Now retail price? Over $100? Ma’am... absolutely not. When she told me the price I didn’t walk away—I evacuated. But honestly, what fragrance is worth retail these days? I only pay full price when I’m cornered. Like certain Stronger With You flankers or Chanel, where discounts are just a rumor at best. Here’s the fun part: I scored a 6-oz bottle of the original EDT for $27 At that price? Say less. A few months earlier I found a 6-oz bottle of the green EDP for almost the same $30. But still did not stop me from also buying the edt again after decades. For $27 How often does that happen? Exactly. So yeah—I bought both. No regrets. Zero shame. Performance-wise though? Even the EDP could do better. You can’t overspray Eternity edt or edp. That’s impossible. You gotta spray like you’re mad at it. Skin, clothes, air around you—everything. If you don’t, it’s gone faster than your paycheck on fragrance sites. Clean, fresh, nostalgic, and still asking for just a little more muscle. Classic Eternity behavior. Now retail price? Over $100? I feel like I always say this, but it is fairly difficult to describe. As you might expect, it is in the vein of "generic-y" fresh/spicy men's scents of the 90's, like davidoff coolwater or fierce (in its vibe, not necessarily scent character), and definitely top few in my opinion. I like Fierce so much better (not really fair, that's maybe my favorite men's scent of all time) but Eternity is a similar vibe, only a bit more mature, but not overly so. Hard to believe, but women actually really like Eternity a lot. It's important to test it by wearing and smell how it is in the air during the day. It is very clean, fresh, and masculine (slightly spicy) without being shower gel-like or very floral or soapy. It's cheap enough to give a bottle a shot, and worth having in any man's collection if he wants to test a range of extremely wearable scents. It is a true classic, and a scent made for wearing. That's the key. Utterly versatile and universally liked if not loved, and at minimum tolerated. The performance is bizarre, because it starts out nuclear to me, but doesn't seem to push for hours and hours the way some similar scents might. I might be nose-blind, and to be fair it's been a while since I wore it extensively, but I would lose trace of it after maybe 4 hours (honestly my nose sucks for endurance and subtlety of presence, and I'll lose trace of a fragrance and get complimented hours after even that point). Anyhow, at its heart, this cologne is anything but generic and is underappreciated these days. I have heard several young women very recently randomly say that they specifically prefer Calvin Klein's Eternity in totally seperate circumstances, which baffled me because of how old it is. That should tell you that this stuff is not to be slept on.

Ahhh, repeating my scent memories from the 90s ... LOVE ETERNITY! I started wearing fragrances in the late 80s/90s (yes, I'm a mature man) .... and this was one of my favorites. Back then, so many fragrances of mine were stronger, spicier and darker. Eternity was my go to lighter/fresher scent. To me, it's a fresh classic, slightly soapy, light lavender/floral scent with a nice vetiver/musk/amber dry down. Regardless of how it's technically classified, to me ... it's a fresh, light lavender floral scent with musk. My other go-to for something fairly fresh was Azarro Chrome. IF you like Chrome then perhaps you might like this. Chrome is missing the lavender but the final feel and scent after a couple of hours is fairly similar. Chrome supposedly has tonka bean in it, however I do not smell it and it definitely is not a sweet scent ... neither is sweet. IF you are a guy who loves the strong trendy sweet, fruity, vanilla scents of today ... then perhaps Eternity may not be for you. But ... I love it! (PS ... lots of compliments and the ladies usually love it, too.)

Love the scent. I got 5 1.2ml CK testers and decided to get a bottle of Eternity EDT because it was awesome. I was smelling this one on myself for at the very least 3 hours, it was projecting quite heavily for about that long. it's actually a little bit too strong (I'm not complaining). The opening is not amazing (as for virtually everything else), after like 3 minutes the harshness goes away. Disclaimer: Eternity EDP almost made me puke. The EDT is infinitely better and sexier. Don't even think about getting the EDP version, stick with the cheaper and better option aka this one. I have to say it's a nice change from the sweet summer frags like Legend Spirit. What I like about this one in particular is that it's not soapy at all, unlike Azzaro Chrome and Nautica Voyage. The bottle is ok. Feels a little bit cheap though because of the thin glass and being lightweight but at least it looks classy and respectable. I don't really care if it's old, it smells great and that's what matters. 8.5/10 Awesome

By no means (is certainly not) this is a garbage pick. It is of great value, for 20 to 30 dollars and even cheaper prices in discount bins in stores, you can get yourself an everyday fragrance you can wear anytime of the day, though most recommended in the afternoon as it gives this Spring Season vibes that gives people the smell of nostalgia and happy memories. Real stuff in coming; Though the longevity is about 3 hours, the projection surprisingly is decent, about 2 feet of projection. People do make the mistake of forgetting to spray in your chest or in the collar of your shirt (in which are crucial placements for your fragrances' smell to strike people's faces) And since I did that, wow did it impress my Uncle whom of which has worn this in my earlier years of life (around 10 years old, I am now 18) when he did not have his baby yet. And as the name suggests, the fragrance is indeed a timeless masterpiece. Now buy it. Cheap, Classic, Nostalgic, and Beautiful to the nose.

Snobs don't like the CK name. Out of the signature scents I've had in the last 25 years, this has been the one that survived the longest. It's a green, slightly floral, fresh aromatic fougere. It has a slight sweetness to it but in a very botanical, airy way. The keys notes here for me are the lavender, the sage and the sandalwood, in a particularly well executed blend that gives a very clean, breezy yet creamy, natural character to the scent. Masculine, but inoffensive, and extremely versatile. I'd put this in the same category as Chanel's Platinum Egoiste, both great 90's allrounders that still feel modern. But while Platinum Egoiste feels more sophisticated and classy, Eternity feels safer and more casual. And since Eternity no longer enjoys the popularity of past years, you won't be smelling like a million guys out there, which is always a plus. Too underrated. Decent longevity and projection, even from the newer batches I tried. 8/10

Eternity for Men by Calvin Klein is like wasabi in my rotation. It is so fresh, clean and sensible that it clears my pallet for more upcoming wilder sushi scents. I love it for sure, though it is boring in a way. Eternity is entirely not challenging. Going a full day being simply nice smelling doesn't win the secret prize but is a necessary ability in the bigger picture. The nose did well. "Eternity" is an occasion of considerable heft; to match up a fragrance to so bold a target reality may define a mixologist's career. Great name, great smell - always positive when it rolls around in my rotation to wasabi clear the olfactory nerve. Especially good for general social occasions. Can't miss, never goes wrong. This is the scent of innocent clear conscience and good will. When wearing Eternity, I fit in with all people of good intent, leave a trail of happy people in my wake and have to really strive to find a way to make mischief.

One of the best perfumes that I had dismissed during my "yeah dude niche man it's best, niche" phase. But it's a phase i went through and observing a lot around, so i don't regret. All in all, took some years to appreciate the simple beauty of this classic composition. Perfectly office friendly, masculine, never smells dated (still in 2024). Citrus-lavender and a light herbal structure is the backbone of the smell. One may complain about its "performance" but it's quite okay for a desk job or for enclosed spaces and is joyful to reapply during the day. Its never cloying, gentlemanly smell is not like the recent decade's beasts, that's a fact, and god forbid, i come to hate those performers. I use both the deostick and the shower gel of it, so they contribute to the total feel. My eternal love for CK Eternity, still a very good fragrance for men. And is around what, 30 € for 100ml in most discounters, fantastic!

I Just found an Old 0.4 Ounce Sample of Calvin Klein Eternity for Men EDT OG in a Macy's Bag filled with Samples. I decided to make this My Scent of the Day & Consequently it turned out to be Nuclear Strong!!! Like it's actively making me cough at Times 😂. That said; OG Eternity is a Stunning Fougere, it has this insanely strong Bergamot, Mandarin, Cypress & Non Synthetic Oak Moss in the Opening instantaneously transitioning to A Classic Fougere Barbershop 💈 Scent with a Woody Slightly Sweet Dry Down. My Only Guess is that this Sample was kept around 68 degrees year round for well over 18 years throughout that time & maybe 3-4 electrical power outages in the Summer none lasting longer than 24 hours. Let me know below if you remember this being A Strong Frag w/ Monster Sillage in the 90's & Early 00's. VS Today's Eternity & Eternity EDP. I have heard the modern is mostly the same scent with less performance.

Please bring back the original formula; that was once a beautiful, projecting, and long-lasting fragrance. The original CK Eternity for men is one of my ultimate top ten fragrances. It's one that got me into fragrances back in 1995. My review is of the original formula, which was strong and long-lasting. It projected fantastically and always garnered compliments. It was a casual but uplifting scent that would definitely carry you throughout the day. Today's formula is simply tragic. Your Parfum version was decent, but it doesn't quite match the original formula from the early 90s. For the life of me, why do fragrance manufacturers do this to legendary fragrances? If it wasn't for Dior Fahrenheit, Chanel Platinum Egoiste, CK Escape, Aqua Di Gio, CK One, and CK Eternity, I wouldn't have such an affinity with fragrance. All of the above fragrances pale in comparison to what they once were, and it is a shame.

Nose Note #429 The first seconds are a terrible alcohol choking hazard. But then 10, 20, 30 seconds pass and damn, what a masterpiece... A perfect example of an "aromatic" fragrance. I think D&G King is basically a reformulated version of this that tried to cater to today's audience and failed. It similarly has clary sage and juniper as the main players. But in Eternity the lavender balances everything so so nicely. I can't see how anyone would not like this. But I guess there are plenty of people, judging by the ratings. If you like a good 100% mens fragrance, then look no further. Smells like class. Outdated? I can't see how. Only if you compare this to Invictus and Eros... 9.5/10, almost perfect to the T P.S. it's perhaps 50% similar to Egoiste Platinum. I'd never think about comparing the two if it wasn't for Fragrantica ratings

I wore this back in the early 90s when I was finishing college and hadn't smelled it since. Picked up a bottle recently for nostalgia's sake, but I'll be wearing this one now for reasons well beyond nostalgia: it simply smells wonderful. In fact, I think I appreciate it more now than I did back then. It's such a fresh uplifting scent, with a perfect blend of light sweetness, citrus, herbal tones, and gentle woods. It's safe and versatile but not in a generic way, as it has plenty of character and charm. I'm a late middle aged guy well past caring whether I'm hip or not (I'm not), so I don't give a darn whether a fragrance has been around for one year or forty years - I just care how it smells. There's a reason this cologne is iconic and I'm very glad to have rediscovered it.

A magnificent fragrance.. I absolutely love this one !! Very unique.. I am yet to smell another perfume like this.. By the way, I am reviewing a 2014 bottle.. So, can't say much about the current versions.. Smells sweet-citrusy, green, fresh, very lavendery and a lot like fennel seeds (which taste and smell sweet-spicy, a little earthy and leafy).. The vetiver note is used in a mild and subtle way which I like.. It kind of smells like a cross between a mojito and an absinthe.. This has a very complicated scent profile.. Ideal for hot weather.. On my skin Eternity EDT lasts for more than 7 hours.. Lasts even longer (about 10 hours) if I spray it on my shirt.. Radiates at about an arm's length for about 5 or 6 hours before settling down as a skin scent...

I love this fragrance, i remember when i went to chemist warehouse and asked if i could smell it. For some reason i got the dirtiest look from the worker and they said i quote "Are you serious, do you actually want to fucking smell this shit." I said yes ofc i do! I remember the worker pinching his nose, while he sprayed it onto the test strip. As soon as i smelt it i snatched it out of his hand and sprayed all over me. "I LOVE THIS" i screamed and ran to counter with the biggest smile on my face and payed for it. I am still yet to smell a better fragrance at 75 years old, this fragrance is gonna get buried with me and poured all over my coffin. I also named my dog Eternity after this amazing scent 10/10 would highly recommend.

I really like this. Similar DNA to Green Irish Tweed/Cool Water (which I love), but with much more lavender which is really nice which also distinguishes it and makes it not at all redundant. First time trying it I kept thinking of the word purple. Something made me think purple. Then it dawned on me that in the air I get hints of grape candy which is usually associated with Dunhill Icon. It also reminds me of the endless car magazines I used to buy in the 80s and 90s because Eternity and Obsession sample ads were all though them. That jumped out at me. Love it. Going in the regular summer rotation.

I consider this a classic men's cologne. If you are a man, above 30, imagine yourself in Italy, cozy summer morning, wearing white shirt, having a croissant with a cup of espresso. This is just perfect for that. You don't want to choke anyone with parfume, you want just something that will feel fresh, last through that breakfast before you decide which scent of the day to pick. And yes, this could easily be Egoiste Platinum's cousin from the countryside watered down flanker, but not in a bad way. The resemblance is undeniable.

The people on here saying it won't get you compliments are silly at best. This fragrance is the type that cannot get outdated. Because it doesn't smell like the avg very modern fragrance, it stands out. I received a compliment wearing this just a couple weeks back waiting in line at a restaurant here in Seattle. 90% of those speaking negative on this fragrance are mistaking it for Eternity Cologne, this is Eternity (Without the cologne) big difference. Layer this with SWY Intensely and it's a monster

Huge lavender and lemon-bergamot citrus old school open that gets herbal spicy gin-like with the sage and juniper interacting with the coriander late open. I can detect basil and some florals in the heart; nose to skin it's a little easier to pick out the jasmine and orange blossom for me, the rest are more a bouquet. The base is solid with powdery sandalwood and musky grassy mixed woods. I really love old school scents, so this was great!

Come up with whatever reasons you want to downplay it but one thing is beyond dispute: if there is ever a universal short list of frags which could be the easiest of easy reaches for any man of any age bracket, wearable in almost any setting, that list will have to include Eternity for Men. It may not get you complimented (so what?) but if it's noticed you likely will be appreciated for it, and you'll never be offensive because of it.

Who didn't love this back in the day. I've been wearing the body spray and the normal bottle a bit and it's actually insane. It's really strong but try not to judge it off the first spray. Once it chills out and you're getting light wafts it is incredible. I've heard girls say it's their favorite still to this day. It's so cheap every dude should give it a try. It's among my top favorites truly

This fragrance was my first love and started me down an incredibly expensive path. Opening of citrus and herbs that dries down into a pleasing woody, musky, masculine scent. It’s a bit dated now, but that 80s/90s nostalgia is strong. I always recommend this scent to people interested in getting into fragrances due to the price point and general versatility.

I got a sample and oh my i just fell in love with. A fresh fougère scent that may come a little out dated to some but i dont feel that it is. Longevity on my skin is 10+ h somehow i can still smell it , faintly but i still can. Projection is about 3-4 feet. The smell is just sooooo good , i cant even know why there isn't any hype for this. I've had several bottles of this. It can get a bit generic, but still very much recognizable. It might be the nostalgia because family members of mine have used this, but it just smells aromatic, clean, fresh, versatile, mass appealing and not cloying at all. Can't really agree with the ratings, it's one of my favorite fragrances of all time.

Nice clean fresh barber shop scent. I use this for casual days out, running errands and relaxing at home. Ideal for the Office too. I went through countless bottles of this when it was originally released and I always remember it lasted way more on the skin than it does now. Got a 100ml bottle for old times sake for under £30. A classic.

Out of the gate, this stuff comes out swinging like two fists and a hardon. It calms down fast. Too fast. This is one of my all time favorites and always will be, but it just doesn't last anymore. Luckily it's cheap. Just keep spraying. I love this stuff. I'll never understand why they take all the good stuff and ruin it.

When I first smelled it, it smelled ever so feminine like the womens eternity probably because they share the same DNA. However, the more I wore it the better it smelled. My family loves it, so does my gf. Its a classy, clean and very welcoming masculine scent. Im buying a bottle very soon once my tester is finished.

Kind of smells like those plastic houses you could play in as a child, but in a good way. (although nobody I've asked seems to agree with me) It's a good summer/spring fragrance, it's very refreshing without smelling like straight up lemon juice. And besides the pleasant plastic smell it doesn't feel artificial.

As a gal from the 90s I loved this green and aquatic scent on men way back when and still do. Clean scent, classic, affordable. Young guys now should have this in their fragrance line. A better fragrance for daytime Spring/Summer, safe bet for the office or casual.

Cool water vibes maybe ? Nothing special . It’s good but It’s not going to fill the room and last 15 hours. Good for people that aren’t serious collectors. It’s good for most people. And a great gift idea for your uncle on his birthday. Something like that.

What makes me laugh is that all these Snobheads that are here are kids that can’t and don’t appreciate a classic fragrance, they were born in the Sauvage era.. Little boys, before buying a fragrance I advise you to start of with Brute or Denim..

Old, but gold. Smells really nice and is possibly my most versatile perfume. Despite being an EDT, on my skin it projects and lasts enough for winter use too. Very blind-buy safe, as I think it'd suit just about any man. Highly recommend.

This was my father’s signature scent.. I still have a bottle for when I want to remember him, this is a classic for me. And now that he’s not around, the name “Eternity” really means something to me. Miss you dad.

Some say it's dated. Others say it should stay in the past. I say it's a skill issue and if you're a real man you will have this in your closet. I love it. It's cheap, get a bottle. You won't regret it.

Citrusy, crisp, woody and herbal. Arguably the best that Calvin Klein has ever done. A throwback to the 1990s Still has a youthful and fresh scent. Long lasting and great for the summer. Rating: 9/10

This is one of the iconic scents with Obsession, Obsession was already ruined and watered down long time ago, don't know how is with this now.

An oldie but a goodie. It has definitely changed over the years but it is still unique and worth the rather cheap price tag

Eternity used to be my secret weapon in the early 90s, everyone was wearing Drakkar Noir, Cool Water, or Tommy at the time, when one day I was shopping and the lady said well your very well dressed and seem mature for your age( I was 17), why don't you try this? As she handed me a tester of eternity. It was love at first sniff. The smell was sharp yet pleasant, herbaceous and green, it was nothing like any of my friends were wearing and I loved it for that. I wore it as a signature for 4 years, until the original Acqua di gio blew my mind... It always got me compliments, I'll always remember my highschool crush saying to her friend that I was the best smelling guy in school. Which was the moment that fragrance became an obsession for me. Fast forward 17 years and I am revisiting this classic which seldom gets attention these days, to see if the current formula is worth owning. I will edit this after a few wearings to get my exact opinion, as I don't want to do a disservice to this classic. Edit: At first sniff I immediately was disappointed but at the same time intrigued. This is definitely nowhere near the 90s formulation, but I actually enjoy the modern formula too. What I miss was the powerful rosewood note, it gave the fragrance that it factor. Second thing I noticed is that this is a much lighter, soapier fragrance. What I like is that with the rosewood turned down a notch I can pick up the other subtle nuances of the fragrance. As it dries down the DNA that I missed started to peek it's head out a bit more and now I'm quite pleased with what I'm left with. Even 33 years later, this stuff still smells great on me not to mention the kick of nostalgia I get from it. Overall for the price this is 9/10
