This is a quite musky bergamot when first sprayed, and it quickly becomes a little bit more floral and somewhat powdery. Interestingly, the spiciness of the sage come out when it's dried down. This gives the final scent a fresh spicy, slightly herbal aspect. I have to say, this being listed as a "floral aquatic" doesn't jive for me. Any floral notes from the orange blossom take a very far back seat behind the more pungent green notes and musk backbone. I understand that the peach and sea water notes are supposed to give that watery accord, but I frankly detect almost none of that except maybe briefly during dry down. All in all, I feel like the notes listed here are misleading. I love the complexity and balance in Carner fragrances, and I find a lot of bottle worthy winners among their offerings for this reason. I like this fragrance. I'll wear it and enjoy it, because I like fresh spicy fragrances with a musk base. But, if you're expecting a lightly floral, fruity, watery scent, you'll probably be disappointed.

I first tried this perfume in Budapest, and it was love at first sniff – it won me over instantly. The moment I spray it, I get an incredible burst of salty sea air mixed with citruses that immediately teleports you to the Barcelona coast. What fascinated me most is the seaweed note; on the skin, it feels incredibly clean and sophisticated, like a breeze blowing off the cliffs. As it settles, it becomes warmer and more elegant thanks to the woody notes. My only minor complaint is the longevity – I wish it lasted just a bit longer on my skin so that "luxury vacation" feeling could linger all day. Still, the scent itself is so unique that I can overlook it. Rating: 8/10

Very sweet, powdery and lively summer scent. Its a little too shower-gel-like for me tho, it is not my taste.

Oh no, this is such a disappointment as compared to the notes...I have a sample and it's so bad I'm struggling to keep sniffing it so I can write a proper review. Definitely masculine but in no way worth the price-point, I adore Carner but this one is a fail for me or my husband. It's quite strong in the beginning but there is something in it that is screeching to my nose, maybe the clary sage. It has a marine vibe to it but not the good kind, I can't but help thinking of cheap supermarket men's aftershave and not much more. I don't even want to think how this combines with sweat, and I hope it's just me and people will love it on themselves. Very generic even if you get passed the above, try a sample before you buy it. Sorry Carner!

I enjoyed Helix. On one hand, it doesn't re-invent the wheel. You would have smelled this DNA before. I loved how the aromatic part of the scent is so well blended with the aquatic/ salty notes along with white florals. As much as I enjoy the fresh citrusy herbal opening of the scent, I personally enjoy the woody, musky dry-down much better. Overall a good scent. Nothing too special about it. A bit too citrusy for me as well. Would be great for layering. Worth the price? I can’t say.
