Rock Star

Mmmm mmmm mmmmm. Not gourmand but got me craving for more. Quite addictive. Got a blotter strip alongside of tardes and both have lasted strongly on the strips for two days. This is gorgeous, fresh and also has that warmth I’ve heard that carner is known for, even though it’s a fresh fragrance. Maybe it’s the contrast of the cool notes mixed with the base notes of musk and ambergris that does this and it gives a sunshine vibe for that reason mixed with a sea breeze. The more I’m smelling it the more I’m loving it. I’m thinking this is full bottle worthy at this point. This is long lasting and has considerable depth for a fresh focused fragrance. I’m impressed with this house so far and want to try more :))) So I went and bought this and besos and, ahem, tardes too. Beautiful sea breeze effect fragrance, perfect for summer and evoking that sun in your hair and sand in your toes with the sea breeze filling your senses with its fresh and salty scent. One of my favourite scents ever and my favourite aquatic scent. It’s classed as aromatic aquatic. I’d say an aromatic aquatic floral. I will be repurchasing if I ever need to that’s a certainty.

On me this is a salty paradise of aquatic white flowers. It’s incredibly fresh, happy and bright. On my husband it sounds more aquatic, salty, marin, beachy. The fragrance filled our entire house with its brightness and salty flowery vacation vibes. I absolutely love it, my husband thinks it’s just nice. The opening is a fresh bouquet of white flowers with the dominant lily of the valley. As time goes on, I start noticing the fresh orange blossom and jasmine waking up, together with a breeze of salty wind. I can hear the tangerine notes and definitely the minerals play a big role here. Very longlasting with an immense sillage, which to me is a huge plus because it’s typically rare for such fresh, aquatic fragrances. The drydown vaguely reminds me of Karl Lagerfeld for her, even though on the general I would not compare them at all as Karl is a feminine fragrance that’s all about flowers, while Rock Star is a 100% unisex that’s all about the beach, sea salt, beach rocks, minerals, seaweed AND flowers.

Amazing fragrance for summer, one of the best that I smelled. It's fresh, clean, salty, mineral, and this entire composition is complements with fruity notes of fruity bergamot and mandarin, floral jasmine with lily on the valley and orange blossom, composing with woody cedar. This is returning me into evening walk in Rodos on the beach, and also the name "Rock star" which means sea star on the rock, is really realistic. If compare this to something like Aqua Di Gio or other marine vibe fragrances from TikTok, This fragrance is much better option, and it's not synthetic at all as Aqua Di Gio or other summer fragrances. Ingredients are all natural without any chemicals (Water, perfume, alcohol) Best option for warm weather and also for office or school, and not that bad or maybe too fresh for spring. My best blind buy and best fragrance I smelled in my entire life. You can not only buy, because you MUST buy it. I recommend to buy this one.

I saw the name "Rock Star" an interest was sparked, followed up by checking the notes and became interested..Blind bought & was BLOWN AWAY!!! The scent is for warm to hot weather, a seductively clean & Minerally Aquatic!..Once I spritzed on, ( In my vehicle ) an incredible scent bubble formed around me on my way to my destination. So sexy!! Once I arrived, I LITERALLY received 4 compliments in less than an hour NO EXAGGERATION WHATSOEVER!! This juice is the real deal...I initially purchased the 1.7 Oz ( again it was a blind buy ) by the end of the night I didnt hesitate to purchase the larger 3.4 Oz ..Can this finally be my go to daytime show stopper during the warm/hot months..I think i'm on to something grand , will be Rockin Rock Star all summer.. 🔥

One of the most satisfyingly long lasting aquatics I have encountered thus far on my very long fragrance journey. When you think of aquatic freshness it's usually synonymous with a short lived fragrance when it comes to performance and longevity. That's just not the case with this very bright sea driven fragrance. Delicious citruses sculpted with great oceanic sea accords and an incredible white musk center that forces this aquatic to become resilient and enduring. Incredibly juicy fun and just as feminine as it is masculine this one will be loved often in the warmer weather

Pure clean freshness! The same of Blanche by Byredo, just a little bit more seaness, but also majour lasting. Amazing!

Rock Star (cute, punny name) is a mineralic, marine scent. Fresh and aquatic throughout, it is a decent example of the genre, but this is not my thing at the best of times. It veers dangerously close to Windex territory - a common pitfall with such perfumes - but this is much better than JF Schwarzlose Zeitgeist for example that may as well be Windex placed in an attractive 50ml bottle. Costarela, also from Carner, is another take on a marine scent, but is brighter and less metallic than this. RS is an overcast, windy day at the seaside, while Costarela is a bracing boat trip by the beach on a sunny day. RS opens with some tart but fleeting citrus, becoming mineralic very quickly. There is a salty undertone that persists, complementing the metallic, wet rock accord that forms the crux of this scent. It is dark and moody in the manner of Amouage Beach Hut Woman, but is less good. Clean, powdery white florals add body, with a herbal, almost patchouli-like effect given by the seagrass. As it develops, soft woody notes ground it, complementing the mineralic accord, and salty amber adds a silt-like quality, bringing the sea theme to life. It becomes musky as it fades, remaining salty and slightly earthy until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A unisex marine freshie, that focuses on the mineralic aspect of the sea, RS is a pleasant summer scent, if nothing unusual or particularly memorable. Nicely done, but not my favourite marine scent. 3/5.

For aquatic lovers. More for a man to my opinion, but a woman can wear it without problem. Perfect for summer, during your holidays, very fresh. I do not smell a lot the flowers part... I smell more the salt, mineral, aquatic notes with a small touch of orange. Lovely for the beach. 7/10

I love Carner and own a few bottles from them, but this one is disappointing. You definitely get the lily of the valley at first, but also a slightly fresh aldehyde, very lightly mineral note as well. As it matures, it loses that fresh, slightly salty, mineral component and becomes more single noted lily of the valley, with maybe a tiny bit of base notes if you cross your eyes and think hard. Unfortunately, on me it fades super quickly - like a few sprays in a concentrated area are almost completely gone 10 minutes after dry down. Also, while the initial fragrance is lovely, it is strikingly similar to Clean's Saguaro Blossom and Sand, which I already own and lasts decently on me. I truly envy people whose skin doesn't absorb every last trace of this fragrance. If I could get the initial scent to last, it would be a winner.

I'm a big fan of Carner but not sure about this one. It's okay I guess, a bit generic aquatic. I was expecting something more unique or interesting. It's office safe aquatic, that's it. Edit: I gave it one more try but I stumbled on the same issue. It starts aquatic, fresh, fruity, and cheerful, but the drydown is overpowered by an aquatic-mineral note that lingers for ages and is somewhat sharp and unfriendly. If that's your jam you will appreciate it but if not this might be exhausting. In sum, it's a high-quality frag but with a specific twist. Sample first.

I've tested quite a few Carner scents and this is one I did not like, to my surprise. I was imagining something else when I read the name, maybe how an actual rock star would smell, but I believe the name is a pun, it's supposed to smell like a starfish on a rock at the beach, or I'm losing it :) To me this smells like how the rail of metal stairs you find on some rocky beaches would smell: dried sea water, metal, plus some citruses and a tint of florals. The metallic note is very prominent to my nose and also off-putting, I was hoping this would be better on a man but my husband tried it and was not impressed. I feel like Rock Star is polarizing, you either love it or dislike it. Glad I got a chance to try it from a sample, too bad it's a pass because the description was quite promising.

Honestly i didn’t like it so much. Tried at the flagship store in Barcelona and took a sample with me. It’s very dense and strong but i feel like the flowers are overwhelming the rest of the notes, so at the end you get a strong floral perfume with a little “aquatic” vibe and a bit messy. Some kinda plastic feel to it too (might be the ambergris?) I wouldn’t wear this.

A very salty aquatic perfume that also smells like a geranium flower. I don't like geranium, so it's not for me. It also have a hint of sourness from the citrus which im not a fan of.

This is like secretions magnifique without the nasty aspects. Salty, mineral, beachy, but sweet, breezy, light too. I guess in the sunshine and heat you need this level of lightness, although a day on the beach will make you smell like this anyway - sea-salt, seaweed, and some burnt musky skin, and the lemon squeeze from your beach coctail...I think this is best if you want to conjure up this holiday feeling, rather than using it on the holiday itself. These kind of scents really go over my head, I don't think I can appreciate them enough. Getting some jasmine, some musk... First impression blotter review: Out of many many blotters after a testing session a beautiful fresh smell filled my house. Turned out it was this. Salty, aquatic and fresh, with the same density and throw as Tardes from the same brand. My blotter smelled heavily for at least a week, can’t understand the ‘fleeting’ comments. Seems a really good quality aquatic scent. If I wasn’t deeply in love with my Acqua Divina (get it if you can!) I’d consider a full bottle after a good wear.

This reminds me of Van Cleef and Arpels Printemps rather than something salty and aquatic. To me it's green and slightly vegetal from the combination of citrus, white flowers seagrass. This is sharper and not as musky so really a beautiful scent. It's incredibly refreshing, brilliantly bright and an amazing antidote to hot humid weather. Unfortunately it's very fleeting.

This one is a very pleasant fragrance for summer, Is not a great performer so if I need to come back home and shower to wear something for the night out then is a my best choice. The smell of this is quite the same IMO to the La Male Pride Edition 2022, with the big difference that on my skin, La Male is the exact replica of Rockstar but with steroids.

I got a sample of this one because of mandarin and orange blossom notes but I don't really smell them at all. I get a lot of jasmine and sea salt. It's an okay scent, I am trying it in winter but I think it would shine more in a warm breezy Mediterranean beach day. If you're a fan of jasmine and bergamot, definitely try it out.

Huh. I get mostly florals with some fresh elements. But very floral. No idea how this is a rock star. Just doesn’t fit the name at all. It’s a nice light floral, but very girly, and nowhere near enough of the fresh sea notes I was hoping for. Boring.

That’s interesting... No one voted this to have similarities with Aqua Universalis Forte by MFK. I get a lot of similarities with the airy floral/salty dry down. Side note: This is FBW. But redundant if you already have Aqua Universalis Forte.
