This is another masterpiece by Alberto Morillas, who's also blended Ck1, Aqua di Gio, and the original 212 Men. His signature combination of musk, florals, and citrus along with some green notes, is also present here, and I believe that this accord makes his fragrances smell so pleasant and addictive. Here it is combined with smooth vanilla and spicy cardamom, cumin (yes this has cumin, more on that later) guaiac wood, and black pepper. This combination creates a nice contrast between the sweet, almost feminine notes of the vanilla, musk, florals, and citrus, and the more masculine notes of guaiac wood, pepper, cardamom, and cumin. Another great contrast this has is between the fresh spices, florals, and citrus, and the heavier vanilla, musk, and woods. Now, to the people pointing out the 'body odor' note, this has everything to do with the combination of cardamom, cumin, musk, and guaiac wood. These spices stay in your body after eating them and you can still smell them in your sweat a day later, hence the similarity. I believe this use is genius, as it is the essence of the sexy and masculine aspect of this perfume (ever forgot to apply deodorant and actually thought you smelled good? or liked the way your partner's sweat smells?). Coming from a Middle Eastern family, however, this does remind me of rice dishes XD. A major downside, however, is the longevity as many others pointed out. After about one to two hours this masterpiece becomes almost a skin scent, which is sadly only true for the latest reformulations. I did experiment and found that spraying much more and spraying on clothes still got me compliments after a few hours. Another trick is layering this with Cetalox - a base note similar to Ambroxan that combines really well with this and improves projection while not altering the original scent by much. I personally made a DIY Cetalox batch by buying perfumers' alcohol and pure Cetalox online and keeping a 5% solution in a spray bottle. For anyone that is not that perfume savvy, you can also just buy 'Juliette has a gun - not a perfume' or 'not a perfume superdose' which just contains Cetalox and is intended for layering. On the upside, the reformulation upped the citrus while toning down the spices, vanilla, and musk, making it much more wearable on hot days and inoffensive in casual or even office settings. Overall I enjoy this perfume a lot, wearing it on dates and social outings. It has niche qualities while being marketed as designer, and is not popular at all, making it super unique!

Perhaps I'm being nostalgic, since it was my perfume for years in school, along with CK One, back when only my parents bought my perfumes. Sexy Man is the least loved perfume in the 212 line because it's different; for many, it's a cloying perfume that overwhelms the nose, smelling like "sweat." For me, it's a gem by Alberto Morillas and Rosendo Mateu, discontinued and rarely used today. It has the spirit of both composers: Mateu's sweetness and Morillas's elegance. The opening is dominated by sensual, powdery cardamom, which is quickly overtaken by vanilla. Within this vanilla, we find nuances that remove the brightness and honeyed quality, replacing it with a dark, woody character imparted by guaiac wood combined with sandalwood, which gives it a subtle balsamic touch. Pepper merely orbits this base to add depth. Without looking at the notes; It smells like soft suede gloves, like you've just dusted off a powder with vanilla notes. It's a well-rounded creation where the layers dance together. Although vanilla is at the heart of it, the powdery scent adds glamour, the balsamic wood lends seriousness, and the pepper adds masculinity. This fragrance is for a young man around 30 years old, not for children. It has a solid 7-hour longevity, with moderate projection for 2 hours, remaining a skin scent the rest of the time. Despite its modest projection, it's incredibly dense up close; you can almost touch it. It thrives in cooler climates, making it a casual fragrance—neither too informal nor too formal—perfect for evening gatherings. For me, it's a solid 3/4. It shines on its own, unlike anything else, and it doesn't try to imitate anything. It's a modern fougère, sweet yet sexy, not at all cloying. Sadly discontinued, you can find imitations that are not the same, although the dry-down is quite similar. It's a gem I hold dear. Few perfumes today dare to try something like what we saw in the Red Pillar of CH. I only recommend it if you're a fan of perfumes of this kind; if you're from more recent generations, you'll most likely find it strange.

Very solid fragrance and this is a sleeper and under the radar fragrance for sure ! BUT when I first sprayed it I was a little unsure about this ! This opens up smelling very fresh,but also slightly metallic ( the same metallic note in the originals) and also powdery. This smells 80% similar to Cuba Gold with the differences being that metallic note. In the heart this becomes more powdery and then your hit with that cardomom note that gives off this kind of animalistic BO note that’s kind of off putting but also kind of attractive(from what my fiancée says) Just like the reviewer below me stated, don’t let that BO note scare you away as after 10-15 minutes that note dissipates and your left with a powdery.fresh,vanilla sandalwood scent in the same vain as Cuba Gold and Le Male. In the drydown that vanilla and sandalwood really round this scent making it more smooth and appealing. My favorite part of this scent is the sandalwood in the drydown and it’s that reason alone why even though I have Cuba Gold,Fujiyama Gentlemen, and Le Male I will still keep this scent in my collection. Performance— this is moderate in terms of projection but it does leave a nice scent trail. This does last 5-8 hours but the last 2 hours you will barely be able to detect this. Overall rating- 8 out of 10 ! Very solid scent in the same vain as Cuba Gold and Le Male but the spice,sandalwood and animalistic BO note make this different and more unique then those scents. Sidenote- try this before you buy it as even though that BO note fades on my skin others may have different outcomes. When I wore this the first time my fiancée I immediately complimented me and said this goes really well with my skin chemistry. It’s also good for summer or the gym if you go lighter on the sprays

Any Pinoy perfme enthusiast here? Hello kabayan! ---------- CH 212 sexy men is my all time favorite fragrance since 2012. The smell and drydown has resemblance to PRADA LUNA ROSSA BLACK. Peppery powdery woody vanilla scent. BTW, I own JPG Le male , Yes they are same especially in terms of its aroma , but Trust me Le Male is still different, Le male has its own menthol fresh side . Just imagine this 212 sexy men lighter version with a kick of menthol , lavender , citrusy in it. That is Le male. Inoffensive lighter 212 version. This is more similar to PRADA BLACK. The only issue i have in this 212 is its longevity , i need to spray this every 4 hrs just to maintain the scent. Initial spray is strong , you need to wait for few minutes to hours to appreciate its scent as it evolves from strong and somewhat offensive top notes into atmospheric powdery bubbles mid and base notes that lingers around you. Some people might not like it because it gives a hint of BODY ODOUR which is partially true. I guess it happens when you spray it during hot days , I remember my sis and my niece telling me why i smelled like someone who doesnt take a bath for three days. Sheeeesh. I remember it's because of 212. So guys , Its not suitable to wear outside . Use it at night or inside airconditioned places. I get compliments whenever its cold hahaahah :)

I definitely tried this perfume before I'm sure of it, there's so many 212 Flankers now it's a little hard to keep track. If you wanted to create a Sexy version of 212 this would certainly be how you'd go about it, much warmer than the original and a generally sweeter, more cozy, oriental feel to the whole thing. Upon re-sampling recently, It reminded me of fragrance flankers like Hot Water, or the older Xeryus Rouge but still with those synthetic and green tones of the original poking through. The overall feel though is one of creamy vanilla, musk, amber and spiced woods which oddly retains quite a masculine demeanor throughout. It's quite a throw away flanker and truly nothing special but I really like it, the same way I did the original in the late 90's. I didn't really pay much attention to the performance but that tells me it can't have been anything remarkable. If I see it marked down in price I'd buy 212 Sexy Men as it's typical of something I might reach for when I'm not sure what to wear.

2014 batch Profile - sensual amber and powdery vanilla. Make you feel absolutely sexy. Description - the juice is just sexy. The most apt name, it makes you feel nothing less than sexy. Opens with slight citrus and quickly transforms into a slightly spicy floral, silky vanilla and amber. This turns heads and evokes sexiness. Usage & longevity - This is a beast, has eternal longevity of 12- 14 hours and lasts upto a week or more on clothes. 5-6 sprays all round, doesn't choke anybody. Cold weather nights or under air conditioning situations. Suited for - A perfect party/ clubbing fragrance. For the young audience, not suitable for professional settings. Reminds me of - The closest resemblance is pradas lunna rossa sport ( the red bottle). I dont find as much similarities with JPGs le male, though I smell a similarity with code during the dry down. Rating - 9.5/10, absolutely in love with this and will always keep a back up bottle. The newer packaging is less attractive and probably reformulated?

I live in a tropical country with hot weather. I've been wearing this sexy creature since 2011. Yes, it's been reformulated, the juice in my first bottle was more powdery and the vanilla scent was more intense, or maybe it's just because at the time, my nose was still new in fragrance universe. Its projection is quite strong, my friends can detect my scent trail within 4 meters away. It lasts over 8 hours. Wear this juice at night time, windy cold weather. Wait until it's getting dry down, its sexy seductive poisonous sweetness will start to comes out. Surely it will seduces whoever ladies you're hanging with (not all ladies, actually). Especially in a close encounter or an intimate moment. You can also wear this at day time, warmer weather. It it's the case, let it blended with your body heat and sweat, then you'll get what I'm talking about. And I don't get it people say it has similarity with JPG Le Male. It's, quite far, different.

A very nice vanilla scent with pretty good longevity and sillage. I do have a couple other fragrances that remind me of this but this is better quality. It's a sweet one, guys, so if that's not your thing I'd avoid it. I'm enjoying this! I know fragrances smell different from person to person. I don't have anything negative to say about this and I really like it. A nice spicy vanilla. One of my new favorites. I guess this mixes badly with some people's body chemistry and gives off a bad note but thankfully it smells like heaven in a bottle...on me. I would feel kind of lucky that it mixes well with me but believe me there are certainly ones that don't, including most citrus and the vaunted Club de Nuit Intense turns to lemon Pledge on me. Goes to show not every fragrance will work on every person. I enjoy this one but I'd say try it first as it seems like I got lucky buying this blind and having it work out so well.

I was at work and this quite guy came in, ripped jeans, tightish t-shirt, red leather jacket & spiky hair and he smelt divine. At first i thought he was wearing Le Male but it smelt sexier, so there was only one thing for it, i approached him, "excuse, I hope you dont mind my asking but what after shave are you wearing?", "sexy men", i was kinda worried at his response and he had a dutch accent so i wasnt sure if he was joking or not but he re-assured me it was called sexy men. Off i went and bought the biggest bottle i could lay my hands on for my husband, he loves it too. Its the kind of scent that makes me swoon, you want to rub up against the man wearing this (sorry that sounded a bit wrong) but its a scent thats soft but masculine, warm, sexy, slightly sweet and weirdly reminds me of plasticine. Love it.

I don't know why people are comparing this to le male, maybe its because it has vanilla in the top,, I would say its much more like la nuit de lomme or Armani eau de nuit or code,, but in my opinion this is much better, an amber and musky monster with decent siliage and exellant longevity,,I detected a faint iris note,even though its not listed but its the same iris that's in dhi. This is really nice juice, dark and mysterious and oozes sexyness ,and I don't think I'll be purchasing armanis eau de nuit,which I got a sample of and loved it, but this is much better. Overall this gets a 8 out of 10 from me,,this is one of those I've been looking for in my frag journey, and will always remain in my collection,,love it.. If you think this is gonna be anything like le male your gonna be seriously dissapointed..

Had this one back in 2008, it was THE winter club fragrance back then, rivaled with 1 Million even on the ads i'd see back in those days, but this is miles better than that junk. Good memories, was a favorite back then and always got complimented on it. You could get away with wearing it during cold days too. The vanilla definetly is what i remember the most of it. Recently a friend pulled up wearing this and when i mentioned it reminded me of 212 Sexy, he said "it actually is". I don't know if he got a bad bottle or if they changed the formulation of this but it definetly didn't smell like the OG 212 Sexy that i used to rock back in the day...

Just received a 2013 bottle from a boutique store in my area. If you wanna grab this frag, look for a vintage bottle. I got a decant from a 2022 batch and the difference between the bottle i got and the sample is glaring. Current formulation is very diluted and have poor longevity. Also, the cardamom and vanilla on the newest reformulations are very toned down in favor of the citrus note, while in the old formulation they remain "rich" throughout the duration of the fragrance. The fragrance is amazing, but if you can't find an old bottle i'd grab Prada's Luna Rossa Sport instead.

This is good stuff. My batch is from 2023 and thank goodness I'm not getting any body odor note or who knows what else some people were smelling. To me this smells like a smoother and more masculine version of my 2016 batch of Prada Luna Rossa Sport before the reformulation and new bottle design. Yes, if you want an affordable original formulation of Prada Luna Rossa Sport's smell without having to hunt down expensive old bottles, then you can confidentally buy this!

this is the best men fragrance from Carolina Herrera. I've been told that they discontinue this one. I was like, what the hell? this is like the best seller of them all, it is quite famous among the men. Hell yeah it makes you feel sexy just like it's name. This is the most manly scent i have ever smell. Sexy, masculine, macho. all you want your guy / yourself to smell like. smell, sillage, longevity are the best! highly recommended!

This is a good masculine scent that can be worn during any season preferably during the evening. Not overpowering nor too sweet. Some like to compare this to a Le Male type scent but I don’t think it’s as prominent. I actually purchased this fragrance online for 25 bucks and although I don’t wear it that often I am happy to have it. Women seem to like it and hang around for awhile to get a good sniff.

Le Male with a syrupy Citrus note and no Lavender. The sweetness in this feels thicker than JPG Le Male. I have this in the 100ml and the 20ml NYC Pills edition. The Pills edition feels very concentrated in comparison. Both are older formulations so they may be stronger than the new bottles. Not bad, but I don't reach for them very often anymore.

This is a very gorgeous and masculine scent when I first smelled it it gave me a very very strong impression of Givenchy PI and given that this one is made by the same perfumer as Givenchy PI (Alberto Morillas) it's just a no-brainer but all in all I say that this fragrance is exquisite and in my opinion a good buy for the price 🔥❤️😊

Maybe there was a reformulation because my bottle and my friends look and smell very different. Mine, which only has 212 on the side, smells like a fresher, more modern Le Male, although very similar to it. My friend’s smells more rose-y, curry like. I prefer mine. Based on that, its a great everyday wear, and date night fragrance.

What a pleasant aroma! Delicate sweet woody jelly with spicy green cardamom. Refined aromatic range. My husband got this for his birthday, but he doesn't like sweet things in aromas. He gave this cologne to his son, and for young people who haven't quite parted with childhood and don't know when they will, this is just right.

man such a great underrated fragrance! sweet spicy woody manly vanilla! my wife's favorite! when i first smelled it i didnt think much of it because i was expecting something closer to the original 212. This however is nothing like 212 but stands out on its own. Truly underrated!

I love 212 Sexy Man. The vanilla is delicious in this fragrance. It is sweet, masculine and sexy. It is strong at first but the dry down is very soft. I can smell it on me from time to time, and I love that. It is perfect for office wear or day time outings.

Layer sexy 212 with Lynx Africa shower gel and body spray amazing combo. Least that way you dont have to buy the matching shower gel and body spray for the cologne an save some cash at same time

Had this one maybe around 2013.-2014. It's something to put on when going out on a date or when a close contact with women is to be expected. Really like it, it's masculine smell.

212 Sexy Men is an exceptionally well layered and blended oriental fougere that emits a baby powder, silky smooth French vanilla and fresh spice vibe that goes on much more organically and is less intrusive but lacks the overall excitement of its flashier inspiration; JPG's Le Male. Morillas and Mateu do a very professional job here of containing the cardamom, pepper and amber into a very narrow palette which in the early stages gives hints of an West London Indian restaurant aroma of curry spilling out the chimney but it is quickly reigned in by the powerful vanilla base which comes forward rather quickly in the wear to dominate throughout and give 212 Sexy Men its powdery, sweet essence. The vanilla works as a filter from which all the other notes are drowned out except for traces of exotic woods in the dry-down and the warming amber, light floral touch and fragments of sour citrus that are deeply embedded in the mixture. The vanilla in 212 Sexy Men is beautifully done, it just seems much closer to the real thing than almost any other vanilla based fragrance on the market. This is great for late fall, winter and early spring and in my view works really well as a work or casual fragrance because it isn't so overwhelming or overpowering and though a bit powdery, there's a subtle balance to it that is uplifting and warming at the same time. Longevity is decent, at around 6-10 hours with quite a bit of variation in my experience and projection can also vary with generally nothing more than moderate projection on my skin. This scent may be a bit too powdery for everyone's taste, so keep it on the shelf for a date, formal event or job interview. 212 Sexy Men has gone down significantly in price over the last year and can easily be picked up for under $40 and makes a great alternative or complimentary option to Le Male when something more subtle or organic is called for. If you like vanilla, you will enjoy this thoroughly. If you don't, you might still like the subtle balance of spice, sweetness and exotic woods in 212 Sexy Men and this may be the powdery fragrance that changes your mind about the wear-ability of powdery fragrances.

Carolina Herrera 212 Sexy Men is an awesome scent. It is very much Le Male with a more flowery notes rather than lavender. 212 Sexy Men is often overlooked with Le Male (until the more recent reformulations) and an endless amount of clones that work like Luna Rosa Sport or Cuba Gold. I can say that 212 Men don't have much similarities to Stronger With You, Aramni Code (unless that is the whole spicy scent thing) or has a BO feel. 212 Sexy Men is very much a mix of 212 Men and Le Male. It opens with some green notes and orange notes but it has a lot of the flowery notes in the mid. The flowery note seems rose if not geranium rather than lavender like in Le Male. There is also some considerable spice with pepper and cardomom in the mid and vanilla in the base. There is some woods in the base along with the vanilla. 212 Sexy Men is not as strong as other Le Male style scents. 212 Sexy Men isn't a super strong scent and isn't a club banger, but it does last as a skin scent. It lasts about an hour and a half to two hours at moderate projection. I can see 212 Sexy Men as a near signature scent. That said it might be a little too much in summer, though not in a workplace. It works great in a date setting. 212 Sexy Men is semi-unique and will get reactions. Overall, 212 Sexy Men is really good but if you already have a Le Male clone or something that fits in the same category, I wouldn't get this. That said, 212 Sexy Men is a 7.8 out of 10.

This is a story about 212 Sexy Men, a cologne I really wanted to try out and like before I even opened the box...but hate to say I was a little disappointed. Now don't pop my balloons so soon it's still a nice scent its just not for me. Maybe I ain't sexy enough to wear it with my beer belly and all but things got bumpy after the first initial spray! That first spray is strong and mixed with powerful emotions like an angry orange eating a flower on a suede blanket with baby powder being sprinkled around...oh and maybe a drop or two of vanilla oil. After the dust clears up this is where my skin goes bi-polar and the powder and vanilla begin to compete for attention. It smells like powder now, no wait its vanilla, no now its back to powder again. My mind is amazed at my nostrils as it tries badly to identify either scent. But out of no where wood comes to the rescue and sticks a splinter into the vanilla's heart and marrys the powder for 4 to 6 hours. It's an awesome honeymoon because periodically vanilla gets invited for a threesome but does not keep up to well. Finally everything begins to fade out and tommorow is almost ready to begin. So yeah it smells nice just not my style. 6 out of 10

After several years later I decided to acquire 212 Sexy Men, I found this fragrance AMAZING. ... a real masculine fragrance deep aroma which is best during the fall and winter days. The notes that I'm able to pick up as soon as I spray it is mandarin orange as well cardamom. After the fragrance settles I can smell a woodsy-spicy-oriental aroma from sandalwood, guaiac and definitely black pepper which makes it a real attractive masculine fragrance. The three final notes of Musk, Amber and especially vanilla which gives this fragrance a real sweet/warm vib :))) I personally find it to be A BEAST OF A JUICE. Longevity is well past 8hrs considering I have a tester. Silage is also excellent if your in a mall you will be noticed. Overall thoughts, If you want to impress your friend or partner spray it on your chest twice and she might experience multiple orgasms ❤❤❤ What else could be said...in a word SEXY !! Although I find this scent quite forgettable, my lady loves it on me. I do get the body odor vibe some people get from it, but it's not prominent on my skin, and other people actually think it smells good. I'm not sure I'd buy a second bottle, but I sure won't have issues going through the one I have. I also understand the comparisons with Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male, but the mint makes "The Male" a much lighter scent, while 212 Sexy is very thick, in my opinion. I love the former, but can totally live without the latter. My 212 Sexy Men rating: Projection/Sillage: 6/10 (1 hour); Longevity: 7/10 (6-7 hours); Versatility: 6/10 (casual, date, cold weather - never wear it in the heat); Scent: 6/10; Overall: 6/10. Conclusion: If it smells good on your skin, and it's cold outside, it's perfect for a romantic setting. It projects well for the first hour, then it sticks close to the skin. I wouldn't wear it on warm days, though, as the heat makes the scent much thicker, and the B.O. aspect of it will no doubt rear its ugly head. You have been warned.

You will smell of subdued vanilla, wood and animalic at the end of it, but it is an interesting scent when recently sprayed on, with an achieved combination of soft pepper, flowers and the slightest note of citrus and cocoa well rounded off by its moderate sweetness, it's a successful masculine spicy-floral shell for the signature powdery feminine core we've come to expect from Carolina Herrera. A winter nighttime EDT through and through, but you can sin a fresh spring or fall's late afternoon. In this boy's room, we get a maximum of 3 hours, with projection dropping dramatically 1-2 hours after spraying, also not so good in strong skin pH. 4 months old update: It has turned quite sexy indeed, drydown is beautiful, vanilla has decreased in strength and what's left is an extremely alluring mildly-spicy powdery musky scent that projects a "Netflix & Chill come-hither" vibe, Op Success. Free from dyes. Edit: totally get the 1:1 comparison with Cuba Gold, it makes this one an absolute splurge being at the price that it currently is.

I often scrutinize the fragrance's name if it doesn’t match my smell. For example, “Bad Boy” should be aptly called Young Man by (Carolina Herrera) that would be more befitting. However, I do find that 212 Sexy Men to be appropriately named. When wearing this fragrance, I will often double-check to see if I’m wearing deodorant because the fragrance has what I can only perceive as a body odor in the foreground. Although not listed, I keep asking myself, “There has got to be some cummin in this fragrance.” Despite all that said, there is something about 212 Sexy Men that gets attention; I don’t know what it is. It has the je ne ce quoi, that unknown something that is likable when it shouldn’t be. It's almost as if 212 Sexy Men were two fragrances: vanillic, spicy, floral, and BO background/foreground. Performance is solid, but your options are limited to where you would want to wear this unless you are Zoolander, The Ladies Man, or some other mythical movie character.
