Amazonian Rose

I was initially skeptical about purchasing Amazonian Rose by Carolina Herrera due to a few mixed reviews I'd seen. However, as a seasoned fragrance collector, I've learned to trust my own instincts rather than relying on reviews from those who might not fully appreciate nuanced scents. Familiar with the outstanding reputation of Carolina Herrera and the artistry behind her fragrances, I decided to take the plunge. Since I am a Carolina Herrera Confidential collector, I dived right in. Today marked my first time wearing Amazonian Rose, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. During my visit to the nail salon, I received numerous compliments on the fragrance. The scent is truly mesmerizing—refined, unique, and beautifully balanced, effortlessly blending the lush freshness of roses with subtly alluring undertones of sophistication and charm. If you're someone who values finely crafted, distinctive fragrances, Amazonian Rose deserves a spot in your collection. Don't let any doubts hold you back—this fragrance is exceptional and genuinely worthy of praise. Rose enthusiasts especially should give it a try. While it naturally leans toward the feminine side, a confident gentleman can undoubtedly wear it with elegance.

It’s rare I don’t have a strong like or genuine love for scents from Herrera’s Confidential line and this is no exception. It is truly unisex, can be worn in every season, and has enough substance for winter while being affable enough for the warmer seasons. Fairly good longevity and finishes out its notes with a true dry down set, but also keeps its opening promises. 8.5/10

Tested it yesterday. Very fruity, sweet-ish and amer-ish. Not that much of a rose though. Super loud and femenine, I really can't imagine a man wearing this but could be super sexy for an extrovert -35 woman. I think it could be great for partying or outdoors given its loudness and uniqueness, maybe too strong for intimate dates and too fun for an office.

It's an unique rose, definitely not mass appealing. It's earthy and minerally and I see why some people detect rotten fruits, but it's more soil-like smell, maybe from the mate. It's nothing like Burning rose from the brand.

I collect CH confidential line bottles and grabbed this for a great price for my collection. BUT, I don’t really like rose. Especially as the dominate note. So it was either hit or miss. Rose dominates this scent. This is a pretty fruity rose upon spraying. It’s a realistic rose scent but mixed with something slightly green, like a fresh cut rose. The fruit is a nice addition but on me it didn’t last long. I’m decluttering it. Message me if interested.

Earthy dirty rose and passionfruit scent. I like all of the notes listed and I am a rose fan, so I was excited to try this one out. What an unpleasant surprise. Literally, dirt, rose, overly acidic passionfruit and strong musk. It has a rotten aura about it. Almost like pungent pickled dirt and greens amplified. Something's off about it. It was getting worse and worse by a minute. Probably stays on for awhile because soap couldn't get rid of it. Try before you buy.

smells like wet grass, horrible

Rose petals, leaves/stems, passion fruit. Literally what I smell. Not a bad smell at all, quite fresh but still weighty, soft amber to sweeten it up just slightly. It's actually quite lovely the more I smell it, and the passion fruit is well blended to give it just enough zing/make it interesting. I just think 100 ml is entirely too much for me as it wouldn't be an everyday scent, more suited to spring/autumn days where it's not too hot or too cold. Unisex in my opinion. Must test on skin as from the bottle/tester strip it you may judge it unfairly. Definitely worth a sample.

There is no passion fruit in this but, there is a copal accord which is giving the impression of passion fruit. I can see why people say this smells like rotten fruit or pickles. It's certainly unique. It also lasts for about 24 hours. This is the only rose fragrance my girl hasn't liked on me. Do with that information what you will

Just tried at Istanbul airport and was incredible. I need to get a full bottle asap as collector of rose fragrances. This stood out from the other rose fragrances and is very well balanced and feminine.

Tested it today. I can only smell passion fruit with a hit of rose. I like it and I am looking to buy a bottle of it. It is unisex but leans a bit more feminine.

Not sure why and how but this is officially discontinued. A shame for such a unique rose. So grab a bottle till you can!!!!
