My favorite perfume of all time that COVID-19 ruined. This was my first perfume and the fragrance that got me into the hobby. I grew really fond to it because of the crazy memories that I have while wearing this and I might be biased cause of this, but to date I truly believe this is one of the sexiest fragrances that have ever been created, a master piece in the designer sector. This is what a “bad boy” would smell like, it’s sexy, boozy, seductive, confident fragrance. It’s a whisky and leather fragrance, the perfect combination to make your girl crazy. This helped me a lot when I first started dating my girlfriend; not only was the scent one of the best for dates but it also has massive mass appeal. Unfortunately after I got COVID I never completely recovered and some fragrances give me a “dirty old wet rag” smell which completely ruins them, and this was one of the victims (others that come to mind afe Paco Rabanne Invictus, Dior Sauvage, the Valentino Uomo line, etc.). I’d do anything to smell this again and recover that same vibe that I so much loved, a glimpse of the best moments of my life, perfectly captured by this fragrance. Still, it will always hold the most special place on my heart, even if I never smell it like I did before.

This stuff has upset me for years. I have tested hundreds upon hundreds of fragrances over the years, and I can tell you that to me (my personal opinion) the opening of this stuff is my favorite scent of all time. I can't tell you what it is or even pick out any notes besides boozyness (I'm not an alcoholic, don't even drink), but it just smells so utterly incredible to me for about 15 minutes maybe. It's been the same way to me for years. Granted it is a long lasting opening usually, but still just an opening and therefore short-lived, after that opening is over, you are left with the most unpleasant, one-dimensional plastic/rubber "leather" scent I have ever smelled in a designer scent. I don't get it. I haven't heard this from anyone else, outside of the general complaint that the opening is misleading and what follows is somewhat disappointing. To me, what follows is what I don't want to smell like. What a tragedy. If someone can make a scent that smells precisely like this opening for a straight ten hours, it will be the greatest men's fragrance of all time hands down. Get on it, stupid science.

Well, I can't elaborate too much on the smell. I find this fragrance boozy and sweet. I love it and so most people who've smelled it off me. When I bought it I did it knowing the performance issues, but decided to do it anyway because I heard rumors saying it's probably being discontinued. It wasn ́t a first smell love. The first time I sprayed it I could only notice the sweet part, and then I thought: "this is redundant and reminds me of Azzaro Wanted by Night", but after giving it another try I realized the actual richness of the fragrance and became hooked to it. After that I noticed something else: This fragrance has great performance, projects heavily the first hour or so, and moderately the next three, and on my skin lasts for like 10 hours in total. I couldn't believe it, but then I remembered hearing that old batches used to have great performance, so I checked and realized it was a 2017 batch. So if you like this fragrance but want a better performance look for old batches. They also have a different presentation, for example old boxes only display CH Prive, not CH Men Prive.

I work at walgreens and after a year of me working there one day i was looking at the fragance section and notice this fragance there and for 70$(3.4oz)i went straight to the internet to see if the fragance was good and realized i found a hidden gem. Today is the third time using it and it’s really one of them, very seductive and addicting! Dry-down going crazy right now. These days i’ve been feeling in love with masculine seductive fragance and that’s what i really get of this perfume, i totally recommend it, i think you will not be dissapointed if you blind buy. If it was available in the market i could of pick it up for every day night signature scent but i think i will use it for very very special occations if you know you know. But at the end of the day like i tell everyone, my opion really don’t matter 😂, always be wise with what you pick when you blind buy a fragance, nothing worse than dropping a bag on cologne and the mf stinks, salute kings 🫡💯

To me, this is the sexiest and coziest perfumery can get. There is nothing quite as captivating that I have come across. Got a memory of my girlfriend sleeping on a couch on a cold and snowy February day in front of the fireplace, wearing one of my hoodies zipped up all the way up covering her nose. Wore that same hoodie the night before and sprayed some CH Prive on the chest, she kept wanting to nuzzle in to bury her nose and get whiffs as the night progressed. It's that kind cologne, very comforting and addictive. As usual, highly recommend you take the opinions of members of the Performance Gang with a grain of salt. If jargon terms like "performance" or "sillage" or "longevity" is more important to you than the actual scent, then that's an amateur attitude. CH men prive lasts and performs plenty enough when sprayed on body and clothes. EVEN if it didn't, the scent profile itself is more than worth it.

This is bottle sex. It is a date machine that guarantees you a night catch and that you will not go home alone. This is the son of Dior Fahrenheit and La Nuit de L'Homme. Lavender gives him that petrol vibe, which doesn’t last long but feels like it reminds me of Fahrenheit. While cardamom is the note that celebrated La Nuit de L’Homme and the note that women go crazy for. While whiskey and leather make him rude. So that's not for sloths, but for men who know what they want... In the crowd of Sauvage, Invicts, this fragrance is very rare and allows you to stand out. This is my signature scent. When I wear it I gain confidence at max. Women love this! It lasts for about 7-8 hours on my skin with a projection of the first 2 hours, later it becomes a skin scent. I always use it when the temperature is below 15 ° C. Longevity 8/10 Projection 7.5/10 Compliments 9.5/10 Versatile 7/10 Total 8/10

I once sampled this fragrance years ago and was not too impressed. At the time, i was wearing Burberry London quite a bit, and preferred that over this as I believed it would be used for the same types of events, moods, etc. Fast forward 5 years and I hardly touch my Burberry London anymore though I still like it. There are many scents I use more in those situations and settings. I decided to revisit this and bought when I saw it slightly discounted online. No regrets! This is ambery, leathery and sweet; woody, dense, and powdery too. I really love it. Great for cool weather in spring, fall, and winter; the citrus is hardly there. Good lasting power, and more mature than something like Pure Malt by TM which is more sweet and less versatile. I really feel like the powdery feel brought on by the lavender makes this wearable anywhere, including at the office. Another amazing CH scent!

I do like this one a lot. Smells boozy, but not too much like those that make people think you have been drinking. Its sweet from the tonka bean and benzoin, a little bit spicy and with a subtle background of leather. I understand why people refer this as a bad boy fragrance as it matches well with leather jacket and cold climate. The main problem is performance, after 1-2 hours it becomes a skin scent and it doesnt project well not even at the start. Probably competes (but not so similar) with Bvlgari MIB except MIB is more boozy and stronger. Also competes a bit with Ck One Shock as a "bad boy fragrance" as they have similar performance, are sweet, buy COS has tobacco instead of a boozy note. Because of the price difference, similar use and performance i would suggest CK One Shock over this one, even though i really like this and my girlfriend liked it too.

Best black leather jacket 'bad boy' type fragrance of all time! Whiskey, leather, & cardamom. Opens with a great whiskey accord, but it's soft and inviting which leads perfectly into the rich and deep cardamom & black leather base notes. This reminds me of late evening adventures while at university - from dates, to intimate cozy gigs, and even bars & cocktail nights. Sad to see this got discontinued. I immediately got a 150ml bottle when I saw it was getting hard to find and I only had a small bit of my original 50ml bottle left. I managed to get a pretty good deal off ebay, but it's scary to see there's barely any left available to buy - especially when I haven't found another fragrance that comes really close to it as a replacement, and it doesn't seem to have a big enough strong following for clones to be created unfortunately.

The whiskey plays behind the leather. But dont be fooled this is only analysing nose to skin. This is a bright fresh leather scent, subtle but decently strong despite the EDT build. Its great if you want to move away from the heavy amber, patch etc loaded bass notes you usually get with the famous EDP’s. Dont let the short longevity claims sway you either, its above average for an EDT - I get 4-8 hours depending on temperature. Whilst I can analyse and find most of the notes this really can be simplified by describing it as a sharp woody pencil shaving start that quickly disappears with a tonka like subtle whiskey taking over and mixing with the weaker woodiness. Fifteen minutes in and its a gorgeous smooth suede with subtle vanillic overtones. The woodiness and whiskey very subdued. Absolute stunner for the price.

I found this while visiting a former colleague who began managing a Carolina Herrera store, and it was irresistible. That's the only response I've ever gotten while wearing it, too - irresistible. Multiple friends have gone so far as to rest their heads on my shoulder, just to inhale it for an extended period. This is a refined, tailored, muscular kind of sexy. To me, it reads as leading man / secure masculinity / brawn with brains. It's the sensation of sniffing an old fashioned made with a spiced vanilla muscovado syrup, while settling into a leather armchair and loosening your tie in a fire-lit room. It's solidly a night fragrance, and I'd argue best for formal occasions or when you want to stand out in a more casual bar. It lasts a while but doesn't project too far (which is good).

I bought it without having tested it, since it is no longer on sale in stores. And I'm happy with my choice. the first spray I smelled reminded me of a perfume I had (but whose bottle is empty); Givenchy Gentleman Only. It was one of my favorite perfumes and whose DNA I find in CH Men Prive. a smell of leather intensifies this smell after about 30 minutes. The sillage is light, but a trick allows you to amplify the perfumes: After applying your perfume, wait 20 minutes, and reapply the perfume to the same places. This allows the scent to stay on the oil from the first application longer (which is the "primer" layer on the skin). If you like Givenchy Gentleman Only, you will like this fragrance which is warmer but with the same dna. Addictive fragrance !

If this was released by JPG as a Le Male flanker i wouldnt be surprised at all. In fact, if you put Le Male Aviator and Le Parfum and layer/mix them, that's exactly what you get here. In fact, when i asked for my GF opinion she had the same feeling: she asked if this was a new Le Male release, haha! That being said, this is a very sexy frag. It has a "dry sweetness" that is very soft and night-time appropriate. If i had no idea about the Le Male DNA and its various flankers, i could see myself being hyped and going insane over this one but alas, this is nothing new or surprising to my nose. I'd still wear Le Male Le Parfum over this though, but if you want an alternative to that frag within the same ballpark, CH Prive is a solid choice.

This is modern elegance in a bottle. It's a shame it was discontinued. I absolutely love this fragrance. This is every bit the description says it is, warm spicy, leather, aromatic, etc. The slight sweetness from the grapefruit, pomelo, with the slight kiss of the whiskey off the top gives it a nice booziness. When mixed with the spicy cardamom and aromatics in the mid, then layered with the leather, slight powdery quality from the tonka beans and woods in the base, makes for an all-encompassing intoxication of elegance. Such a masterpiece in my opinion. Great projection (1.5-2 hours) and longevity (10+ hours). If you can find it for a decent price these days but if you can I would say go for it. At least try it if you can.

I was very excited to test it today in one local perfumery. Gotta say, loved it from the first sniff! It's sweet, definitely reminds me quite a lot of the old 2009 CH Men, which I'm a huge fan of, but it seems to be more complex and deep. Smells very, VERY sexy and elegant at least to my nose. Overall, I think it's definitely an improvement from the original CH Men, highly recommend it to try it out. Longevity is really great on my skin, about 8-10 hours with 2 wrist sprays. Surprised with the above average projection as well, to me it performs really well. I find it quite addictive, immediately fell in love with it and will buy a bottle soon, which bottle btw is amazing, very luxurious and shiny.

One of my favorite scents but also very situational for me. Nighttime only and I would wear it for going out, getting drinks, partying, etc. Performance on my skin is not as weak as some might say, but nonetheless, it is an intimate scent that projects within arm's length and would last around 6 hours. Opens up with a nice sweetness from the whiskey, the cardamom and lavender give it a nice spiciness slightly reminiscent of YSL la nuit de l'homme, and the leather and benzoin in the base make the scent wear thicker and sticker overall. Not sure if this is really the lady killer fragrance some say it is but I wear this for the bois and the bois have complimented me on this scent before.

One spray of this angelic drink will teleport Megan Thee Stallion from her performance in New York right into your living room while singing "Freak Nasty" I have to carry 8 SIM cards when I go to the club, because I get so many numbers Imagine this being sprayed from airplanes, the birth rate would be higher in every single country If you look like a porcupine and dress like an Olympic athlete from the 80s, I don't care, every woman is yours, just don't spray it near your relatives for obvious reasons And I would ask you to learn the difference between your flask and this bottle, because they look very similar, so that you don't randomly exhume the entire bottle like I did

To me, this fragrance succeeds where MM Jazz Club fails. CH Men Prive is sweet, warm, boozy, and a bit smokey with a ton of character. There's a dark aura to it, like it would be worn by a complicated persona. I can't help but think of Lucifer Morningstar. It's like this and Jazz Club are attempting to play the same "sexy bad boy" tune, but JC chose both a higher key and tempo. As a result, it smells nice, but it doesn't do it for me. Prive, on the other hand, is fantastic. The whiskey and leather make this a rich experience I'll be gladly coming back to every fall and winter. Longevity is pretty average with extra sprays, but it's still worth owning.

This is so freaking good! it does have a similar DNA to some other frags out there but it has this boozy sweet warmth which is familiar & comforting. Have to admit when I first smelt I was like, 'whatever' & i put the bottle with the rest to look pretty & collect dust. I am glad i gave it a second go. It's winter & I absolutely love this! I have worn this heaps recently (with a suit, leather jacket, just casually spray on my jumper at home). For me this smelt heaps better on my clothes than skin and lasted a good 10+ hours ( i have the '16 batch). It's not ground breaking but I am not wanting it to be...lol. It is addictive tho! highly recommend.

Long time coming review here. Batch 2016 (OG formulation so I can't speak for the newer batches): This was not a love at first sniff, BUT.. something developed and I got hooked. I'm probably like the others on the comments below saying this was over-hyped and that there's nothing really special about this. But I'm sure they will one day wear this again, or maybe get a hand on an old formulation and be gobsmacked. This is a keeper and I will never get tired of sniffing this — Sexy and posh leather goodness. So so addicting. Performance is above average (could be better), but you really can't complain when the scent is this BEAUTIFUL.

I really like it, however, the longevity of leather and whiskey notes is 2-3 hours, and then it turns into a powdery and clean tonka skin scent. The opening reminds me a bit of PR 1 Million EDT but without grapefruit top note. YouTubers are pushing this as a date fragrance, however, I think that any social occasion where you will be in a bar or in a leather jacket goes along with it. I could even see it as a daytime scent if you don't have to be out for a whole day. Would I buy it? Without being able to sample some other leather scents and the fact that it's apparently discontinued, most likely yes.

Beautiful fragrance, masculine yet sweet, smooth leather at the base, slightly powdery, spicy with the cardamom and pepper and a sweet bourbon running through the middle. Dries down to ceder, cardamom and leather. One of my favourite fragrances of all time, longevity is about 7-8 hours, projection is strong for the first 40 minutes, then moderate for 3 hours before slowly becoming more intimate for the rest of its life on skin. 10/10 fragrance overall, just spray more after 4 hours. Sadly CH Men Prive EdT has been discontinued, it will be sorely missed.

Given to me by one of my best friends recently. This is never leaving the collection. Unique boozy and fresh scent that I had not smelled until very recently and it sucks they discontinued this. Should have kept this in line up and scrapped the expansion of the bad boy lineup. One of the best things I’ve ever smelled. Don’t care that it isn’t beast mode, it smells great. One of the few discontinued fragrances I would recommend to someone who doesn’t care about price or performance. If you want something different this is a fantastic scent.

At first, I wasn't so impressed. To be fair, I had for some years been using mostly niche fragrances from Tom Ford, Marly, MFK, etc, but I guess I had expected more after all the reviews. However, the more I wore CH Men Privé, the more it became one of my favorites. I do wish it would last a bit longer on me, but it's such an amazing scent. I cannot fault this in any way on the scent side. Always SO SO nice putting this on again. And seems to work year around for me. Get it. Full bottle. Just get it. And the price is just perfect.

This is one of my favorite date night fragrances. Trust me your date will want to lean in, just to get a whiff of this over and over again, it smells that sexy and inviting. It's leathery, added with that whiskey note, has some really nice sweetness, just enough to be inviting and not nauseating. It's a fragrance that I keep reserved for special days because I enjoy it so much. I happen to have the old batch and this has great performance compared to the new batches which don't seem to last that long.

One of my favourite scents, boozy leathery not too sweet. Great smell 10/10 for me, likeable boozy leather with sour-sweet note. Really strong projection for 1-2 hours, longevity is average on my skin lasted around 5-6 ish hours, then it sit closer to the skin. Best wear in Air-conditioned or colder places. I wore this during class and night out, and received many compliments with it. Not a beastly fragrance but very sensual and fantastic smelling cologne. Definitely grab this if you got the chance.

I have a 2015 batch and it mostly sits unused in my collection because I don’t want to use it all and never be able to smell it again lol. It’s legit the best fragrance I own. Sharp whiskey, spicy aromatic, smooth leather. Sex in a a bottle as my ex used to say. Maybe I’ll bring it out a few times this upcoming fall/winter. A great going out or date night choice. If you can find it buy it. Don’t even worry if it’s been reformulated to not last. It smells so good, just layer with iso e super.

This. This is the one I’ve been looking for. Light vanilla whiskey spice. Smooth and rounded at the corners. This is a masterpiece. I absolutely love it. The first time I wore it, I couldn’t smell it at all. I’m not sure if I was noseblind from another fragrance, or what, but the next time I wore it I was blown away! Signature scent worthy, without a doubt. Good projection, good longevity, excellent scent. My wife even enjoys it, and she hates fragrances! A nice fragrance for mature men.

One of the most versatile and casual user friendly dark boozy frags, its very appealing yet dense and complex from opening to dry down. Whiskey is prominent but doesnt give off that "drunk at the bar" vibe like many others. All other accents blended very well and compliment those really dark tones, it has pretty high "unique" factor. It slightly reminds me of Armani Code (without the booze) - CH Prive is more modern and appealing in this category.

A modern, cozy and smooth take on leather with a cardamom undertone. Different from everything in the market, has some similarities with the original CH Men, the leather feeling is the same. Also has some similarities with JPG Essence De Parfum, but that one is a lot more sweet and deep, while this one is more mature and elegant. Shame it has been discontinued, it was a banger for sure. Absimal performances on my batch unfortunately (2015) 8,5/10

Me encanta este perfume. Es una de esas fragancias que tienen un ADN único, exquisito, elegante y sexy. Una joya sin lugar a dudas no empece a que las reformulaciones han provocado que su duración ya no sea ni una sombra de lo que era originalmente. Actualmente esta fragancia está descontinuada y es muy dificil de encontrar. tengo un frasco de 1.7 Oz y lo utilizo solo para ocasiones especiales o cuando quiero oler exquisito, sexy y diferente.

Holy bananas this is probably the best cold weather night out fragrance i have smelled. Starts off sweet with some bitterness from the whiskey note , as it dries down gets slightly sweeter from tonka along with leather.average performer. This makes me wana wear laced boots instead of sneakers , jeans instead of sweatpants ,jacket instead of a hoodie and turn steering wheel with one hand. You need to try this.

8 months now with this fragrance. maan....its the whiskey! cant stop smelling. bad boy type with leather jacket, BUT, with a little bit sweetness scent. i really do feel confident wearing this gems. its not like best, best. if i have to pick this ch prive or tm pure malt based on the scent, ill go with pure malt. sadly that tm pure malt had a bad performance. so, this perfume like daily driver for me.

One of my first frangrances and still my favorite. It has leather, alcohol and lavender that gives a warm boozy feeling. It's empowering, potent and very masculine. Best worn by night in the cold weather with a leather jacket, but it can still perform well during mild heat. It used to be my signature scent before it was discontinued. I still hope it will come back someday in the future. Love it.

Solid 9/10 fragrance, masculine sweetness with a twist on the whiskey notes and very noticeable leather. However, just after half an hour it becomes a skin scent. Performance is ultra weak, would not buy unless you really want a fragrance that is introverted, and unless you are veeery close to someone, only then is it noticeable. Again, smells good, doesn't perform well at all sadly.

WHISKEY SPICE HEAVEN!!!! Incredible and mature for the Alpha male that commands what he wants in life... Can be an everyday scent for men over 25 and can be pulled off if worn with confidence... The ladies will appreciate this for what it is----------A PANTY DROPPER! A must buy, if you can find one for cheap... I spent $99 for a 3.4ml and I'm happy with this purchase.... 9.1/10

@Halian I think you must have a fake or something as CH Men Prive smells Boozy, Leathery, Seductive, Slightly Sweet, warm, and spicy.... there's nothing blue about this at all. Everytime I've worn this on a date I've gotten complements from the fairer sex. If performance is an issue just take a small atomiser and top up when it starts to fade... but imho this performs decent

I’ve had this fragrance for a while now and have even bought multiple. This is a sexy fragrance for a man who wants to stand out. This isn’t a typical scent you usually get. It’s sexy, spicy, and sweet. You can wear this when you want, tone it down if you want to keep it subtle or go all out and let the whole place smell you! It’s a great fragrance with awesome performance.

I really can't believe this gem is discontinued. Overall I dont like over-sweet frangrances and this gives me the good balance between masculinity and gourmandise. I can't smell any leather however I prefer it to my Bvlgari Man In Black Essence : this more subtile, deep and has definitly the X factor. I will look for back-up bottles, I heard there are 150ml available.

Love at first smell... Sexy, direct, confident, informal, seductive, warm... I just bougth this yestarday after smell a test, and i felt in love with this. I couldn't sleep thinking about buy it and the next i just went for it. It is on my top 5, i realize i like this kind of smell. Not every girl love this but at least i had the approval by my girlfriend.

In my opinion, this is one of the most badass fragrances ive ever smelled and ive smelled a lot. Very very masculine so its not something any guy can wear. To me its a mix of dior fahrenheit edt and a touch of bentley for men intense but imagine if those are heavy for you but you love the type of smell, this is a perfect match for you.

Rich, sweet and boozy. The drydown, which is a woodier, is just lovely. Quite hard to get now, a real shame, I'm down to about 20ml. The truth is though this perfume is a notch underpowered. Fahrenheit Parfum is about 80pc close, a bit stronger, boozy and sweet, thicker in the air. But a decent substutute and generally available. 4/5

A glass of whisky while you wear your leather jacket and sit on a woody chair. Sweet and bitter however the bitterness is exactly enough. Boozy leathery and woody-vanilla at bottom note. A perfect choice for both formal and casual events. Performance is not that good. 3.75/5 Age:+25 Perfect for cool autumn nights.

I want to kick myself in the face this smells so damn good.. Both God and Satan must have collabed on this one to create the best fragrance known to man. Sweet booze, sensual leather, and a Tonka that doesn't scream TONKA if you know what I mean. My hunt for the holy grail has officially come to a happy end.

My favorite fragrance personally. 10/10. I wish I could wear it everyday, but it's certainly only a fall and winter fragrance. I'm a massive fan of the winter powerhouses, yet this tops them all. Update: I bought a large backup bottle upon seeing its been discontinued. I'll be sad in 10 years when I run out.

Can't go wrong with this one. It definitely is warm & spicy, damn classy, excellent for Date night or a special event. And it lasts a good while as well, which is an added plus. If you like La nuit, The one, and those types, you will definitely like this one. Excellent for the cool/cold/fall time season.

I’ve yet to find anything to compare to this. Smells so good I could eat dirty socks. Boozy, smooth, delicious, just wow. Put your nose on this if you get a chance. Why did CH have to stop making this? I hope they “remake” it like TF is doing with a lot of their fragrances. It would make a killing.

Batch: 2016 I love it!! So does my wife. One of the best boozy fragrances out there. But performance is a big issue. Although I have an older batch but still it is not a huge projector. Will try it in Fall/Winter again. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 5/10 Longevity: 5/10 (becomes skin scent after an hour)
