CH Men Sport

I was gifted this fragrance back in 2013 shortly after the release and used the whole thing, because it was so versatile. Today, I snatched up a 50ml bottle for $20, a relatively cheap price to pay to relive that era of my life (shout out to Proust). This new batch smells just like I remember it. The reason I still find this fragrance compelling is its non-linearity. To my nose, the opening does capture the "sport" classification (if it even means anything). For the first 10 minutes, an aquatic and slightly metallic grapefruit dominates for me. This is the "generic" part of CH Men Sport. However, when the sichuan pepper and vetiver show up and the sandalwood settles down, you get creamy and woody tones under the bright sparkling citrus which sets this fragrance apart from standard citrus summer bangers and "sport" frags. In that sense, it just isn't generic. The opening won't smell like anything new, but the woody and creamy and peppery notes in the drydown set it apart. The closest comparison for the drydown that I can think of is Encre Noire Sport. The woody notes of CH Men Sport are much more subdued than the dank vetiver used in Encre Noire Sport, but these are the only two woody-citrusy "sport" fragrances I can think of. So it's not generic, but it also isn't going to make you stand out, since the citrus is what will project over all else. Longevity is moderate, and the citrus lasts longer than in most of these types of fragrances. Very very versatile scent, but perhaps "boring" for those who only wear "complement monsters" (shudder). Absolutely worth the price discounters are charging. Good for year-round daytime use for work or leisure.

After having experimented with this fragrance for the past 3-months, I find CH Men Sport to be identical to the infamous CH Men...minus all the goodness, add some generic citrus and aquatic notes and some hairspray and voila! Okay, it's not that bad; actually, it's a pleasant-enough kinda designer fragrance that falls into that Summery balogney-cologney genre. However, CH Men Sport reminds me nothing of its namesake (Carolina Herrera CH Men) nor does is adequately represent itself as a sporty flanker. CH Men Sport performs moderately lasting 4-5 hours on my skin and projecting about 18-inches for 1-2 hours. Although not a terrible fragrance, I just don't like it. Shame! After wearing this fragrance off and on for the past years...I'm going to purchase another bottle because it's dirt-cheap and, honest, it's proven to be similar to a Model A Ford...not the prettiest, fastest or sportiest fragrance around...but it gets the job done, is a great value on the discount market, and it always managed to get me to work and back home again.

Been spraying this a week now here and there. The opening is strong and the dry down mild so you can easily wear this and another fragrance hours before or after. This is an awesome morning scent. It would probably work best in spring and summer. For the 30$ / 50 ml price I bought it at, it's a great value. Puig made in Spain, this has some mid tier oil and does the fresh aquatic scent really well, and by adding pepper and pine woody notes it seeks to differentiate itself. The grapefruit in the opening mixed with vetiver is awesome and really well done, an encouraging way to start the day! Our aquatic notes kick in and brings to mind your everyday blue scent (think eau fraiche) but that doesn't last long before the piney notes kick in, I love all stages. It kind of reminds me of a fresh L'Insoumis by Lalique. I love that too!

Spray and pray nailed this one in his review. I picked this one up at a good price. Because of the grapefruit/sage opening and juniper drydown, my overall impression of CHMS is "pine". This is not a bad thing. It IS unexpected in a "sport" fragrance, but does make it quite interesting. I found the overall scent very pleasant with good longevity and middling sillage. I can't wait try it in warmer weather. if it reminds me of summer by the lake, than it'll be a definite switch from like to love....

I dig it!! Top to bottom CH Men Sport works for me, although I don't get any sport vibe from it. To me this smells like an old school masculine fragrance with a very slight hint of aquatic. I have enjoyed wearing this though Summer, but I am starting to think it might be a little better in the fall. I recommend this, but I would suggest you sample first since this might not be for everyone. I get about 8hrs longevity with 4 sprays with about arms length projection for 3-4hrs.

I’m a fragrance head and I’ve never written a review, but this particular scent is so meaningful to me. My grandpa died 2 days ago and this was his signature fragrance and I’ve done nothing but smell it when I’m feeling sad and it transports me immediately when I hugged him and it feels weird but I feel like he’s with me right now. For me, this is the most beautiful thing about this hobby.

Fresh! Really fresh & smooth. Honestly,I didn't like it @ first until it caught my attention the other day,this lad was wearing it at a concert/show. The fact that its sillage is moderate makes it really special. Recently bought my self a bottle :) If you looking for something that will blend in with your skin and not be loud that it gives you a lot of attention-CH sport is the answer.

I was deployed to Oman 2014 and was eating at a western restaurant/Club called Oasis. A local Omani friend came to our table wearing this. The entire table was like “who smells so damn good?” He received an entire tables worth of compliments. Both from men and women. I asked him what this fragrance was and he got me it the next day. I’ve owned it since. My SOTD.

I don't listen to the people anymore that give some fragrances very bad reviews. I blind bought this one and sprayed it on my hand. What a delicous, fresh and nice fragrance this is. I took the bottle with me to work and sprayed it on me there. As soon as i came in the office i already got 2 compliments. You smell fresh and good. highly recommended.

This perfume opens with mixture of grapefruit and vetiver . then the citrus note leaves and vetiver remains with another note that makes smooth and peaceful scent . and this note remain until end honestly longevity is long lasting and sillage is moderate . Im going to buy this perfume for summer until end of my life :)

Mmmmm it smells really good!!! This one really stays on my skin really long. 98% of all my colognes don't last long on skin but this one did. I'm really shocked/surprised! This cologne did not disappoint me. This will be one of my favorite summer fragrances. I highly recommend.

I used to have this in ny teenager years, it was my favorite for the gym, if you have an opportunity try this during winter wearing a hoodie this works surprisingly good during winter smells pretty good very aromatic and versatile.

Opens with the citrus, but that burns off very quick then this settles down to a smooth warm woody scent. It's not what I would classify as a super citrus sport scent. Bought at TJ Maxx for $19.99, its definitely worth the money.

It’s strange but I had this perfume once and I didn’t like it , bought it again and I was intrigued by this scent ,supposedly a flanker to CH man but it’s nothing like it, a hidden gem 💎

Very nice scent,very unique,generic or not who cares. Projects like a beast. 10 hours minimum longevity in summer days.

A perfect summer/spring fragrance! Highly recommended!

It starts with sharp citrus (namely grapefruit and bergamot) with an aromatic sage; it feels like a citrus green style opening, perhaps reminiscent of what I get in 212 NYC DNA. In the heart it's somewhat unique with the Sichuan pepper and juniper combination with salty ozonic marine notes; it's not sweet juniper, more of a spicy, dry gin. The base is earthier than I expected with the vetiver, sandalwood, and oakmoss; it's stronger and sturdier than one would expect from a current release "Sport" fragrance, very much a throwback to yesteryear unsweetened frags. I will admit it caught me off guard a bit; this is a 1990s barbershop fougère meets 2010s sports flanker trend clearly released to compete with Dior Homme Sport and Chanel Allure Homme Sport. Dior and Chanel did it better, just to save you some time, but I amend my previous thoughts because the gap isn't quite as significant as I may have otherwise stated. My initial use case for this will be primarily the gym, but also I'm thinking it'll do well for warmer transitional season days where I want a old school fougère that wears lighter than the rest of my collection because the scent profile has evolved to something more enjoyable. Note that this did change quite a bit since my hand test last month (for the better), which in itself was 2 weeks after receiving and performing a paper test. We are at a point where pretty much every fragrance you receive likely needs at a minimum a couple weeks to settle and open up a bit, if not considerably more. The onus of maturation falls more on the consumer these days so please don't fall into the trap of playing catch and release with all your purchases.

Carolina Herrera CH Men Sport is the fourth from the house I honestly own. I have a weird batting average with this house. 212 Men and 212 Sexy Men I don’t like (my brother loves 212 Men though) and 212 VIP Men I do like. CH Men Sport, I found in Burlington for a decent deal. The main things I smell when I smell the scent is citrus cleaner, ocean and herbs. The open blasts you with citrus like a citrus counter top cleaner which to me isn’t a bad thing. Next I get a slight oceanic scent that I do like in most of my scents but it don’t really last because it is driven out by a herbal scent from the juniper and vetiver along with a Sauvage like pepper. CH Men Sport does smell nice but it isn’t exactly is sexy in a sweet and leathery way like the other two CH Men scent, CH Men and CH Men Privé. That’s not a bad thing. Instead, this is an herbal spicy scent. It is pretty heavy vetiver heavy as the herbal notes kick in during the second hour. Now what needs to be said with CH Men Sport is that it actually lasts at about 6/7 hours on my skin. CH Men Sport is surprisingly not really sporty but rather a day scent for spring, summer and fall scent that can work in a number of situations. CH Men Sports gets a 7.5 from me. It is very nice, very versatile but a little bit common and typical.

I see nothing wrong with this other than just below average performance say, 5-6 hours as a skin scent. It smells clean, fresh and manly. Citrus, Juniper with some peppery notes up top. An aquatic sea note, vetiver and oakmoss round out the mids & bottom. There is a slight bitter like sweetness to Sport but, it's overall demeanor is a fresh, slightly aromatic with marine like facets coupled with light woods. All man plain and simple that is pleasant and very wearable. You're not going to wow people around you and you won't send anyone running from you due to your fragrance presence. With enough sprays, especially on cloths people will find it pleasing. Mind you they have to be within a couple of feet from you to get a whiff but, they won't be offended by it in the least. If you have to be smelled before being seen and that is what compels you to a more vivid and complete existence, this will be an utter disappointment. For the rest of us that just want something simple, manly and most importantly extremely affordable (under $25 for 100ml at discounters), that will work for a few hours, you can certainly do much worse that CH Men Sport.

If you like CH MEN, you might consider CH MEN SPORT. CH SPORTS kinda has spicy /warm/woodsy aroma perfect during the late spring into the hot summer days with a more fresh clean complex sweet/citrus green scent as soon as you try it out. I just picked this up yesterday and can't wait to try it when spring has begun. Aside some negative review's, I personally find it an excellent choice without it being overwhelming but a real aromatic blend with a hint of herbal undertones as well a hint of spicy notes . Longevity and Silage is better than moderate lasting 8-10hrs when you spray it 2x. Finally thoughts, When I sprayed it on my skin I feel like it comes alive giving me that vib of being energized...a real positive aspect. All the notes come together beautifully making it very pleasing to wear during the spring /summer months..not your typical sport frag (watered down) almost an "in your face" tamed down making it not too harsh. That's a Carolina Herrera signature trademark in frag's ...7.5/10 it's worth trying it out...you never know until you see how it reacts to your skin.

It's very citrus-e, aquatic, spicy..Kinda generic. But i'm a sucker for grapefruit. Backhanded complement i know... I like it, allot. But i'm just being honest... It reminds me of Sauvage By Christian Dior(Because of the citrus and spices). Maybe that's why i like it. I used six sprays...both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest and front of my shirt. Will I buy this again?...No.(But it's a nice scent) Should You Skipped It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It? Blind buy it. Can you use it as a unisex scent? No! The initial opening is a blast of citrus with some pine undertones coming from the Juniper note. 15 Min - I am still getting a citrus and Junioper scent profile but I am also starting to pick up on some of the aquatic notes. 30 Min - I am still getting the Juniper and aquatic notes, and I am now starting to pick up a spiciness coming from the Sichuan Pepper nbote. 60 Min - The fragrance has transitioned into the base notes and I am getting a woody and earthy scent profile. Dry Down - The dry down of this fragrance is a woody scent wit hints of spice and an aquatic undertone. Performance: Projection of this fragrance is Fair with the frangrance creating a scent bubble of about 2 feet for just about 2 hours. The sillage is also fair with a scent trail of about 2+ feet for almost 2 hours as well. Longevity is Fair with the fragrance lasting on my skin about 4 to 5 hours, but becoming a skin scent at about 2.5 hours.

Smells like grapefruit soda in the opening. When the drydown hits, it leave a nice woody scent of sandalwood/vetiver with the aquatic notes in the background. If you find it at TJ Maxx for about $20, it's a safe blindbuy. It's a versatile fragrance, good for just about any occasion in the spring and summer. Nothing groundbreaking but a nice, enjoyable scent to throw on once in a while. I'd give it a 6/10. Note: Don't let the "Sport" fool you. This isn't really a sport flanker of CH Men, but more of it's own thing. It's fresh enough for the gym but not as fresh as the "sport" would imply.

CH Men Sport is Sports Perfume from Carolina Herrera Perfumes. Its Citrus Fresh Spicy Woody are Words to Describe it. he Top begins with a Citrus as it has Grape Fruit & Sage note followed by a Fresh Spicy, It has Juniper, Aquatic Notes & Pepper and Base of Woody as it has Sandal Wood, Oakmoss & Vitiver as Base Notes. Strong GrapeFruit & Sage Opening as nice in 30 mins to 1 hour then turns out to normal fresh spicy scent. My Opinion Projection & Longevity are V Good. My Rating is 3.4 out of 5 as after 30 mins to 60 mins it turns out to v generic, Good for Casual & Gym

My wife gifted to me, at the beginning it was verry weak and does not last more than 5 min. I did not attempt to sell it or exchange as it was gift and I decided to keep it for short outdoors. I lift it aside on the shelf for 8 months, when I started to use it again I surprised that performance improved significantly 180° degree, it became one of the strongest perfumes in my collection. Scent-wise, it is basic designer scent, not very special, you feel that you smelled it in other designers perfumes.

It's good for non-coffee late mornings to get kick started into your activities. For me that means opening a laptop on my living room table. Inputing work data; all finished. Now studying the note breakdown of this cologne on fragrantica. Worth a comment. Its a private spritz, nothing that sillage's. The pepper becomes apparent. No alcohol trace like others at lower price points in the aquatic / sport genre. Closer to Cartier than Nautica in terms of blend quality. Mid designer aquatic spicy.

If you want attention after a gym or playing sport this will. Not the typical citrus/aromatic sport scent. Fresh yes, sweet candy oh yes. it needs a man to wear this. this had a good projection and good longevity 6-7 hours spring, summer and early fall, in the day could be a good nightscent while clubbing and casual wearing. In my opinion, not safe for work unless you are under 30 2 sprays is enough bottle worthy but there is better choice because lack of versatility 7/10

So, this is a tale of two fragrances. From the spray, it is a little harsh on the opening.. but not bad. Heavy citrusy rush, grapefruit forward. This really doesn't last at all. Withing 20-30 minutes you will sense the juniper and pepper. The pepper hits like a truck. Vetiver will appear toward the end. Good, sure.. but disappointing for CH. Fresh and non offensive. But this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. Longevity is good though, and it doesn't smell atrocious.

CH Sport is a summer scent that works as casual or office. I smell grapefruit, juniper, fresh spice with a watery twist, and a woody base. It is extremely dry, with nothing citrusy (other than the bitterness of grapefruit) sweet, or fruity. Although it is not something terribly distinctive, it smells nice, radiates decently, and (more importantly, for a summer scent) works perfectly with a hot/humid climate and lasts very long, up to 10 to 12 hours!

Just got this cheap I was looking for a summer fragrance different from all the lemons/limes and cleaning product fragrances.I find it different to most since its slightly bitter and earthy with juniper,pepper and vetiver in the dry down and a nice balance between the grapefruit and bergamot on the top.The slight hint of moss might put some people off.Overall its good but not great,sillage is decent but i only get like 5h of it on my skin.

Something strange has happened with my bottle of CH Sport. It went from being a rather unruly, sharp, and at points pungent scent to a fantastic pure warm weather daytime scent. Maceration REALLY helped this bottle out and I definitely recommend giving it a spray if it's sitting in your collection. An ocean breeze on the Pacific standing looking over the jagged cliffs from the pine trees. Reminds me a bit of Starwalker with teeth.

Something about this reminds me of a "New Car Smell" air freshener or Armor All. It's not unpleasant, but I don't want to smell like a new car...or an old one for that matter. In general, I think people should avoid smelling like cars. **Update: I re-purchased this a while back. I love it. I guess I like smelling like new cars after all.

another great fragrance from my favorite brand. but it doesn't perform well on my body. i mean yes it smells great, masculine and all but not that longer lasting. longevity about 3-4 hours. i don't know, maybe it's just me but it's ok cause i bought it at a half price on sale. it's good but i won't bought it again.

I was expecting a sports fragrance from the name but what I got was a sophisticated scent that can be worn in all weather conditions. To my nose it's herbal with fresh notes in the background. Nice addition to my collection and dirt cheap at the discount stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx.

I was given a 50 ml. bottle of this fragrance as a New Year gift early this year. Its scent reminds me of Kenzo Pour Home I had during the 90's. It's OK for me but I don't like it so much. IMO, this fragrance is suitable for men's weekend casual wear.

This has similar scent and performance to Gucci Sport, but costs 50% less. CH sport won't blow your mind, but it's still a safe and versatile masculine fragrance. It's a "mature" sport. Grade: B

Original 212 but turned into a more business casual scent. Underrated and very overhated. This deserves to be atleast a 4.06. Better than any garbage JPG has put out in the last 3 years

It smells like Gucci by Gucci Sport. A really fresh summer perfume. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 out of 5 @Ayman Abdelhameed. The perfumer behind the fragrance is Antoine Maisondieu.

I agree this isn't particularly original, but I wouldn't mind this on a man I was getting close with. Let's call this a playing it safe fragrance.

It's a casual fragance with attitude and elegance even in white tshirt and jeans but not in shorts or do sport and gym

One thing I've learned on my fragrance journey is that the people in this community tend to be overly melodramatic and exaggerated with frags they like and especially ones they dislike. Reading the reviews of this frag completely validates that statement. Is this frag a masterpiece? No. Is it generic, bland and "vile" as someone said? No. I find this to be rather distinctive for being a sport flanker and mislabeled as a sport frag. It starts out with a touch of grapefruit at the top then quickly gets spicy. A lot of pepper and a bit of juniper come through. I detect no aquatic notes at all. When it dries down, the sandalwood and vetiver come out of it. Creamy with just a touch the vetiver. I wouldn't use this in the same situations as other typical sport scents. I can see this in the spring/early fall and on cooler summer days and also evenings. I would not use this on the hottest days of summer or doing strenuous activities. Projection and longevity are above average with this one. I get a couple hours of good projection and get about 8+ hours for longevity with it settling a little closer around the 3 hour mark. All and all this is not the terrible fragrance that others make it out to be. I don't reach for it as frequently as others in my collection but when I do I enjoy it. I'd say it is fine to add to your collection especially since this can be picked up for around $10 at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. Even if you blind buy it and don't like it, you're only out of your lunch money for a day.

After my recent binge on “old school”, “powerhouse” and “complex” fragrances I awoke this morning to discover that the thought of wearing something “proper” was vaguely unappealing...even my old chum Euchris didn’t tickle my fancy. The answer seemed too scary to be true...I need to go on a low fat fragrance diet!!!! Luckily I have a few random bottles of “modern/citrusy/fresh/aquatics” that I’ve acquired over the years as presents etc. that I’ve never been too tempted to try or recycle. Hopefully after a few days of these I’ll be back to normal. Today’s random choice was CH Men Sport. The first spray was just a harsh blast of citrus...a sort of grapefruity lemon with a hint of juniper tartness (that didn’t fill me with hope). This quickly calmed down and the woods came through. First a pencil shaving or two of sandalwood closely followed by a few roots of vetiver. Within a few minutes the woods had blended with the citrus (with perhaps the vetiver slightly in the forefront) to form a pleasant, mild (and definitely not world changing) scent. And there it’s stayed for the past 4 hours or so. This seems to quickly become a fairly close scent with little or no proper projection but the longevity seems not too bad. Perfectly pleasant but rather uninspiring...might do better in warmer weather...might actually keep it for safe holiday use. Rating 7/10

Not a bad fragrance. But not a great one either. It is high quality as far as performance, lasting much longer than the typical scent in this genre, although I don't believe the scent itself should be described as "high quality". As far as the notes, it opens with aquatic notes and sharp grapefruit. However, after 30 minutes those notes fade and the bergamot and schezuan pepper come through a bit more and the overall grapefruit, pepper, ambroxan, vetiver combo comes off similar to a mix of 75% Lalique Encre Noir SPORT and 25% Dior Sauvage to my nose. It also calls to mind Bvlgari Man Extreme in some ways. This is a fragrance that comes across as synthetic so if you dislike scents that lean towards the "obviously man-made" side, you may dislike this. The vetiver comes to the front at around the 2 hour mark and stays around as the drydown continues. If you like the previously mentioned scents, this one may be worth a try. I find the three scents I've referenced as comparisons to be superior in all aspects and accordingly never reach for this one. However, this can be found at a very inexpensive price-point for those on a tight budget. It's pleasant enough if you like citrus/aromatic/vetiver type scents. It will not offend those around you and in the right setting, could get some "you smell nice" type compliments.

The opening has this very bright clear citruss which I like the most Dissatisfied version of me says drydown let's this perfume down..I smell alot of the spicy juniper / overwhelming bitter damp Oakmoss mixed with a slight leftover peeled wet bergamot, I cant detect any vetiver This mix am quite indifferent towards it, objectevily it's good but it lacks persona.. Performance is average It will appeal more to the mature audience aged 30+ If you could get it for less than 15$ I think it's a fair deal, mine was a decant Would I buy or consider it?
