Chic For Men

Still in production. Batch code 90921 Production date 2019-04-02 Gorgeous. A pinch dirty, a heaping spoonful of seductive, and just enough freshness. More soothing than loud and brash. To my nose it’s soapy watermelon and spice, semi-fresh but more fresh leaning and definitely masculine. If this lovely potion is *this* good now, I can only imagine how great it was back in the day. I can tell it’s from a different era but so well executed that it seems timeless. The scent is 10/10 while longevity and projection are above average. What struck me is that it triggered a scent memory of one of my greatest fragrance loves over the past 20+ years: vintage Moschino Uomo (striped box with the question mark.) Uomo is still a love today even though it runs at half strength with less depth. Uomo is still essentially Uomo. There’s a little bit of that old Uomo in Chic, though—not a lot by any means, mind, but just enough to make me smile. I can see Chic as someone’s signature, it’s got some depth though it may need reapplication later in the day. I can also see this performing decently in all seasons, less so in Winter. If worn a lot indoors you’re probably golden. Edit: It’s later in the evening and I’m at the 5 1/2 hr mark. I’m getting this beautifully sweet and fresh soapiness—the watermelon is still there, now joined by what’s probably amber and sandalwood and what seems like citrus providing some airy, tangy highlights.

I bought the fragrance almost in late 2017, and I still have the same bottle. The fragrance begins with citruses and a beautiful red watermelon scent, and then introduces cardamom, cinnamon and black pepper, which gives the fragrance depth and warmth after it was a refreshing, fruity fragrance in its opening. And the end is with the smell of sweet wood - not rough - and a little bit of musk. The smell of the perfume is comfortable for the nerves, pleasant, you can not get bored of it, very elegant, easy to wear, a perfume that stands in the middle between the classic sharp perfumes, and the modern sweet perfumes. Some people say that it looks like 212 or blue de Chanel, that may be a little true, but I find it more beautiful than its all. Perfume for all occasions, and for various purposes, night and day, and all seasons of the year, but it is creative at moderate temperatures, and even ages, so everyone can wear it . Its performance is quite satisfactory, with an acceptable price, the only drawback is the unpleasant shape of the bottle, as well as the bad sprayer. It is one of the most beautiful and best perfumes that I own, and the closest to my heart, and I do not think that I will stop buying it, unless a negative reformulation is made.

First off, I feel the description of this is hilarious - it goes off on how "very masculine" thus is and how it's for a refined gentleman and so on... It's none of these, it is a deliciously sweet and fluffy synthetic scent that would likely appeal to teens posing as adults. Don't get me wrong, I love this scent as it is quite reminiscent of Acqua di Gio but with the sweetness turned up to 11! It has a playful fizzy accord that melds the citrus and melon notes quite well. To me, this smells like a store that sells fragrant melon sorbet, spiced cola, and has some fragrant wood flooring. I'm not even going to try and dissect the notes - it's an amalgam of sweet, spiced woods and it works! It hangs around for a good 8 hours or so and would definitely work on a woman who enjoys woody scents and sweets. The drydown is just a vague fizzy wood that is very similar to the fizzy goodness of Moschino Uomo (a much cheaper and equally great fume) - great for teens and those young at heart! Man this a nice surprise. If you like the MI DNA, i'm sure this will please you. It doesn't smell exactly like it, but it's in the same ballpark. Unforgivable by Sean John too and Milestone. The difference though is this has less of that "salty" or "lemony" feel of the previous ones and is softer, more "clean" type of scent. There's no sweetness here so nothing that reminds you of the new-era of CH. Don't let the simplistic bottle fool you: This smells exactly as the name suggests - Chic. More of a 20-30s type of Chic though, not like a CEO Boss. To me, this is summer/spring banger, uplifting, refreshing (but not "fresh" as you would expect out of a blue frag). I don't smell the Watermelon here as a individual note, but i do get that Peppery, citric muskiness that is very clean and airy and the pepper gives that bite that prevents it from becoming a bland white smell. In that regard, i wouldn't call this a fruity scent. This is so cheap that i'd say blind buy worthy if you're into the Milesimes, Milestones and Unforgivables out there, although it might be redundant to own all of them if you're not a collector.

it almost seems like it is a weakened version of the Chanel Allure line. Fresh with melons but all in all the same category of scents. It can easily be mistaken as a 4hr old Blue de Chanel or Allure homme sport without the grapefruit/citrus blast that Bleu or Allure homme sport has. Nice bottle but cheap plastic cap and sprays. On shelves it looks very elegant before you find the black part are made of toy plastic. The sprayer looks like a cheap arcade button from the 80s. Don't get me wrong....It smells fantastic. It just reminded me of the fragrances I have. This may be more versatile due to its mild approach. It doesn't give you a thick scent cloud vibe and I love fragrances like this. It makes you feel refreshed and light. It is a happy positive feeling scent and should brighten up anyone's day. Is it a reformulation? Maybe. Never owned the old version. IT is like a cologne. Skin scent. Women here are giving it rave reviews, and that is why I got it immediately. Blind bought it. Will be testing it with women Updates from women: Took this and CH men to work.... Chic for men used to be one of my favorites since it was released in 2004. The smell was so nice, pleasant, not overpowering and very soft. These well-blended fresh notes (lemon, watermelon and bergamot) and spicy accords produced a very elegant, sophisticated, modern and at the same time casual scent. It was perfect for every occasion and time of the year. I fell in love with it since I tried it for the first time. But from a few years ago to these days it has been reformulated and pretty watered down. Now it doesn't smell chic, but CHEAP; and after an hour of wearing it, it smells like traces of a good fragrance that you've just put on five or six days ago. This new reformulation has a very bad performance talking about projection and longevity. The scent is still good, but not the wonderful piece it used to be. Even after that, it is still on my top 3 of Carolina Herrera Fragrances. **Please Mrs. Herrera I need an intense/eau de parfum version of this, not another summer/surf/on ice/whatever... version of 212. Excuse my English please, it is not my native language.

کارولینا ئِرِّرا شیک! عجب اسم دقیقی! فکر نمی‌کنم نامی دقیق تر از این روی ادکلنی وجود داشته باشه! این پرفیوم یکی از برترین های همه پسند و همه کاره ست. شاید بهترین انتخاب برای تابستان نباشه، ولی بجز در سه فصل دیگه که به خصوص در شب هنگام و در محیط های شلوغ شما رو تبدیل به ستاره ای درخشان خواهد کرد، در گرما نیز رایحه غلطی نخواد بود! رایحه تر و تمیز و به معنای واقعی جنتل مناسب یک جنتلمن واقعی داره که از ترکیبی ادویه ای، میوه ای و آروماتیک بر اومده و با توجه به ماندگاری نزدیک به نیم روز کامل و پخش بوی بسیار مناسب ۶۵٪ ایش، جایی برای انتقال باقی نمیزاره و فقط می توان تحسینش کرد. البته من یک شیشه حدود سال ۲۰۰۷ ۸ از فری شاپ دوبی خریده بودم و نزدیک ۱۰ سال بعد یک شیشه کوچک تر از جتی مطمئنی در تهران که خریدم،حس کردم کیفیت و طبیعت سابق را نداره، که شاید دلیلش اینه که در مواد اولیه، بیشتر دیگه مواد سنتِتیک جایگزین مواد موجود در طبیعت و در خطر های محیط زیستی شده باشن که در این صورت ایراد نداره، ولی اگر ری فرمول یا چیز دیگه شده باشه جای تاسف داره. نمره من به این شاهکار دنیای ادکلن ها ۷.۵ /۱۰ هستش و به بیشتره آقایون پیشنهادش میکنم

this is a very borderline scent. its really hanging between late winter and late spring. i wear it in all seasons except fall. i wore it for a while before it really hit me. it was in early may that i had put it on, and just out of nowhere i realized how gorgeous this is. this stuff dries down to a scent that in my opinion, is close to the greatest scent ive ever smelled. i dont even really know how to explain it. i dont get compliments on it, but i dont get compliments on anything i wear because i live in a city where its good to smell terrible. yay portland oregon. where everyone smells terrible. stay natural, hippies. if i am breaking this down, as best i can, this starts sweet with watermelon, but not citrus sweet, melon sweet, less acidic more sugar. and it dries down into this sweet, musky, woody scent that i havent seen captured by anyone else. when it comes to green months, this is absolutely divine. i dont care if anyone has anything to say about how i smell. i can smell it. and i smell incredible.

هذا العطر مثال للشعور المائي المتدفق في الفم بعد قضمة كبيرة منعشة من البطيخ الاحمر اللذيذ ..!! .. وفرة مياهٍ لذيذة و سكرٌ طبيعي متوازن الحلاوة .. عصير ليمون مرّ يشعرك بقليل من اللذاعة ربطني كثيراً بعطر ديور اوم سبورت .. و البهارات .. ما هذا التناقض المدهش في التكوين ..!! الهيل يعتليها بشكلٍ ناعم و انيق يليق بالمشهد العام للعطر ..!! .. و مما يزيده اناقه انه يشبه حبات الهيل في عطر لانويه دي لوم ..!! .. الدارسين و كلُ ذلك وجد لغاية واحد و هي محاكات رائحة حبات البطيخ السوداء حتى يكتمل المذاق بكل جوانبه ..!! .. ليس عطراً عادياً عطر الفصول الاربعة و الربيع خاصةً .. و ربما توقيعك الشخصي .. انه شيك .. انيق و متفرد حسّي عاطفي و حالم .. ربما يشعرك العطر بضعف الاداء لكنه ليس كذلك و ان صح ذلك .. فالعطر حميمي وذلك افضل ..!! بعض الاحيان جمال العطر بآداءه الضعيف وليس القوة معياراً مهماً عندي فانا لا امانع ان استمتع بعطري لوحدي ..!! .. هل يستحق العطر كل هذا الكلام !! نعم .. شيك خلّيك بتاع كلّو عشان كلو يصير بتاعك ..!!

This is my favorite fragrance from Carolina Herrera. Very sexy and a compliment machine. My finance' adores this fragrance when I where it. I get a watermelon and just a slight hint of pepper in the opening when it dries down a bit the cinnamon and cardamon come out to play. That eventually melds with the sandalwood and tonka towards the base and they all come together very nicely. Projection and longevity are about average. I get about 6 hours out of it and good projection for the first hour or so. Then it settles down closer to the skin for awhile. This is a pretty versatile fragrance in my opinion. You can dress this up or where it casual. Don't know that I would wear it as an office scent. I like it as a summer night out scent but can be worn in spring, summer or fall, day or night. All and all this a great bang for buck fragrance. You can't wrong picking this up.

Chic starts fresh, fruit and aquatic. Few seconds after, there is a blast of cinnamon and pepper. It becomes woody, sweet and creamy. Is just me or it smells a lot like Spicebomb? Chic will be great if it had a good longevity (only 6 hours on my skin) The sillage is OK. But not the best! Buy/try/pass: Try or pass ps: I love it but I will not buy CHIC again. 212 men stills the best CH. Chic começa fresco, frutado e aquático. após alguns segundos, há uma explosão de canela e pimenta. Ele se torna mais amadeirado, doce e cremoso. Sou somente que acha bem parecido com o Spicebomb? Chic seria ótimo se tivesse mais fixação (somente 6 horas na minha pele). A projeção é ok mas não a melhor. obs: eu amo Chic, mas não compraria novamente. 212 men continua sendo o melhor CH.

This reminds of the original CH 212 background with a fruity melon upfront. Very good scent, not to heavy (3 sprays) and it's going strong 4 hrs later. I'm sure if you'd spray a few more times everyone would think you're the weird "cologne guy" The melon transitions nicely into this sweet pepper wood smell. It's very smooth, besides being a little harsh when first sprayed. The cinnamon is hiding somewhere in the background just adding a little accent to the other notes. It doesn't really stand out at all. Overall i think this a good scent to have and appreciate, it would definitely serve it's purpose. Day or night, any season besides maybe a really cold winter day. I just feel it may become very sharp and cause a headache. Scent: 8/10 Sillage:6.5/10 Longevity:8/10

I usually don't go for blind buys, but based on the raving reviews I just went for it... And I'm absolutely glad that I did! Chic really lives up to its name. It starts out with a fresh, fruity smell and dries down to a more spicy (but still fresh) scent. A perfect combination of casual and professional. You can wear this to the office, to college, to dates, to pretty much anything; and where there are girls, compliments will surely follow. It's not a mainstream scent at all, which results in a lot of people asking me what I'm wearing. It feels good to smell nice AND unique. If you're worried about age - am I mature enough? - don't be. I feel like any age can pull this off. It's a compliment getter for every man!

Nose Note #1105 I totally get the comparison to 212 Men, but only in the air. Upclose this is definately less fresh. There's something very "90s" about this. Creed Millésime Impérial? Only a little. There's also a subtle feeling of Silver Mountain Water, like with 212 Men. I don't get the watermelon note, but I do get violet which is not mentioned. I wanted to try this for a long time and I wasn't dissapointed. I wasn't greatly impressed either. It's just a nice no-brainer scent and reminds me of Montblanc Legend AC Fierce somehow too. They exist in the same realm, except Chic has no lavender, but translates an image of lavender. Performance is OK. Good for what it is. Overspray is preferable. 7.5/10

Chic has an alcoholic opening for about 5 seconds and then it starts off with a not too bright citrus opening that is quickly accompanied by a sharp pepper. You get hints of watermelon throughout its lifespan on your skin and some tonka sweetness here and there. It's a pleasant crowd pleasing fragrance that can be worn day or night during warmer months such as Spring and Summer but also during the fall if not too cold. The longevity is moderate at around 6-7 hours and sillage is also moderate giving a nice scent bubble of 4-6 feet. Overall a wonderful fragrance to have especially for the price. Scent score: 8/10

The first fragrance I fell in love with. The best of Carolina Herrera imo. So pleasant smell that I can't get enough of it. Quick story: I was in my car one day, driving back home at night, many hours after I sprayed a fragrance (a different one) in the morning. Suddenly, I smell an incredible aroma in the air. I started looking where It came from and couldn't find it. Finally I could. It was on my watch! (a big smile on my face). A wonderful Chic drydown, maybe from a few days ago, I don't know. Oh, I can remember the feeling like it was yesterday. This fragrance will be in my collection forever.

nice casual scent. it change your mood every time, you wear it. water melon opening with fresh orange + cinamon and pepper. sweet but no too much, fresh and spicy. 7/10 .............. یه عطر بسیار خوشبو و بی آزار، مهربون و آرامش بخش خوراک وقتایی که کسل و بی حوصله هستیم و یا استرس داریم رایحه ای که من ازش میگیرم ترکیب هنرمندانه هندوانه، دارچین، پرتقال و فلفل هست. بنظر من برعکس خیلی از عطرهای میوه ای مردونه که لوس هستند، این اصلا اینجوری نیست. بلکه کاملا شیک و مردانه و برازنده هست، دقیقا مثل اسمش. دمای این عطر هم معتدل هست، اونقدر خنک نیست که تو گرمای سوزان تابستون عالی باشه 7/10

Chic For Men | Batch 11511 manufactured 31 May 2021 | purchased Jan 2023 A blind bought Chic as I liked the scent profile and had recently added some other Carolina Herrera fragrances to my collection (212 Men / 212 Sexy Men). I wasn't expecting much given it's a now lesser known 20 year old fragrance (cost cutting, reformulations etc), however I'm pleasantly surprised, I love the scent and whilst it needs more testing it feels like it's going to perform well and be very versatile. - all in I'm very pleased with both this and the 212s, 212 Men still smells how I remember it!

This one is my 1st love. I remember the 1st time I bought this stuff in 2009 ( I was in high school ) and i cant stop repurchase this stuff until now. Maybe its my 26th bottle and i still have 2 more backup because why not?. yeah this is my signature scent! The hint of watermelon and cardamom bomb in the opening always boost my mood and the bergamont, lemon and mandarin notes in the background make it feel more fresh and clean. peper and cinnamon notes in the middle notes make a good transition to the sweet calming drydown. I love it! Really nice accord and perfect blend.

Wore this one to the gym today and decided to move it from a "like" to a "love." To me, it's grassy (not sure why I get that), a little sweet, and a bit powdery and reminds me of 212 Men. It's clean, versatile and safe for most occasions, leaning towards being a hot-weather scent. I'm not near as good at describing fragrances as some of y'all, and I have to say, I don't know if I'll ever be able to get Bingo30's description of a "glossy magazine cover" out of my head. It really does remind me of that now, but it works for me.
