True Oud

This line is so underrated; I might say the price is really justified. For starters, it has real Oud, Thai Oud. So it's not a question of whether it does or does not have it—this is a fact. I mention this because with "oud" fragrances, the community is always trying to solve this question. Secondly, the bottle is one of the most architecturally impressive bottles I've owned. There is significant design effort behind it. And it smells so clean. Next, from this line, I will buy either Stallion Leather or Nightfall Patchouli.

So far the first and only one from this line of CH I've tried. This is really good! Very oudy right from the get-go; woody and smooth oud. I don't get the skanky-ness at all as someone else mentioned before. In fact, Thai oud is known to be of the more woody kind. The oud blends very smell with the saffron and floral notes to create a smooth and woody sensation. Would I pay the retail price for this though? Probably not, but at half retail or so I'd say it could be worth it.

What an oud saffron master class! wearable, a very unique experience, it lasts & projects. this is magic from opening to dry-down, heavy on the akigalawood & ambrofix effect here is leaning leathery & woody, accompanied with a sexy chypre dry-down, resembles a little dry-down of aventus. the oud here reminds me of the oud used in guerlain oud essentiel in the genre of oud/saffron/frankincense. amazing stuff! ;-)

Indeed True Oud... but i can't define which origin! i don't think it's Thai oud! but i guess the settle down rises up the saffron, myrrh, and sweet freesia sandalwood. It begun very True Oud but settles to woody yet bits of sweet. This blend is quite pretty for those who loves true oud rather than the none oud blends that it is marketed as oud. Beautiful.

To me this is an interesting fragrance, because it's strong in olive scent, and then oud, osmanthus, jasmine and patchouli, I never own and smell an olive perfume before, I am so glad it's in my collection True Oud is 8.5/10

The freesia, oud, sort of grapey jasmine and peachy osmanthus effect sort of resembles Shuhrah Homme or 24 Platinum Elixir, although True Oud feels darker, woodier, more serious and elegant.

An absolute gem that not many talk about. Doesn’t smell like anything you’ve smelled before. Strong, mysterious and intriguing. Not everyone’s cup of tea, only for niche lovers.

Smells deep, dark, and smooth. Feels elegant and bold — made for quiet power and special occasions.

Intoxicating blend of olives and oud on an akigalawood/patchouli base. Very smooth and invigorating with sort of a savory feel to it. Different to any other oud I've tried, and also one that may be used year around, day or night. Jordi Fernandez has a reputation for working wonders with ouds and he really shined with this one. Leaning masculine with good longevity and sillage. Brilliant! And the bottle is just as good as the perfume inside.

Tested it from a vial sample on my wrist instead of spraying. The opening notes were a bit too much to handle with the saffron and a strong alcoholic feel but now I've been wearing it for about 6 hours and it settled very well on my skin, very nice intense woods, I like it.

An almost savory take on Western oud. The patchouli is starting to give it a classic masc vibe.

This is a smoky fruity woody fragrance to me. It’s very nice. I’m glad it’s in my collection 🙂

Don't buy their Coffret of miniatures. I did. And half of them were empty, same in the replacement they sent, then they ignored me for weeks until paypal eventually refunded me. Carolina Herrera customer service only reply on trustpilot, so the public think they are reliable. What a disaster of a company.

Beautiful formal fragrance that is unique that somehow feels like a distant cousin of the MFK Oud collection. This smells like a beautiful mix of very high-quality oud, olives and a slight hint of musky freesia. Imagine a Renaissance-style ballroom with an Arabian twist under the stars in the middle of the desert. Appropriate for formal events and for days when you want to feel like you own any place you are in. Lasts for a good while and the sillage is not bad as well, although I wish it could be smelt from a bigger distance.

Sorry Fernandez (the perfumer) you are not good with oud... Smell is ok for such an upscale brand and price.. Projection is low and performance is average at best.. This is because the perfumer did not learn a few tricks to give you an excellent performance oud.. so you end up with a good smelling fragrance that disappears after 4 hours yet a very high price....

I don’t know why but it kind of gives me Metal Lavender from Matiere Premier... don’t understand how. On skin it last forever but I’ve only tested it and not a full blown wear. It’s in my purchase plan but only as a cheap tester or something

Where to try this in Florida? I wrote the company, and they don’t offer samples, and they said their perfumes can only be ordered through their website. I highly doubt it, there must be someone else that carries it in store.

@Jasminalia - referring to a fragrance as "true BS" is kind of bold for someone who is hiding her fragrance cabinet. Let's see what you have to offer to make such a bold statement.

The overdose of saffron ruins it for me personally. It's too bad because everything else is done beautifully. Bottle is stunning and super high quality like the rest of this line.

What a True studid name! True Oud should be oud alone. With other ingredients in a fragrance formula, it may be greatly blended, but it's true bullshit to call it like this.

Love this..very smooth..just a lil bit skanky(dirty) on top notes the rest amazing ..perform like crazy🤟🏽
