Very Good Girl Elixir

I’m gonna start this out with a story. When I went to visit my friend in another country she had a black cherry candle and car refreshener from Yankee candle which she loves. I decided that this time when I go to visit again I should gift her a travel sized perfume among other things I got her that reminds me of her black cherry scent she had going on. Out of everything that was cherry I smelt this and it was ALMOST SPOT ON to it. I’m actually shocked. Additionally, she uses a good girl perfume dupe as her signature scent. I think she’s going to LOVE this cause I sure do. It’s a sexy well done cherry perfume with the good girl DNA, if you know what the Yankee candle black cherry smells like, it’s 90% this. It’s amazing and I’m so excited to see her reaction. I actually can’t stop smelling it and patting myself on the back everytime. NOTE: I honestly think good girl perfumes need to be tested on skin because on paper they always smell plasticky and weird. I thought I didn’t like good girl perfumes but they’re really growing on me since I’ve started testing them on my skin.

Like a cherry liqueur in dark chocolate. I'm amazed. Initially hit by potent almond accord and a typical sweet powdery element, I did not expect for it to develop in the air to be a believable black forest gateau with cherry liqueur in dark chocolate nuances. This is one to buy, but I've avoided the range due to the hideous bottle design. What am I going to do? 😂 🍒 🍫 Update on longevity/tenacity and strength (always based on two sprays only), later. Okie dokie - did indeed last rather well through the day though settled to be quite one dimensional. A touch sour and powder sweet. I like that it smells like actual food! Have said before, would never choose to buy a high heel bottle. It's in very bad taste in my opinion as somebody who's never worn high heels. But would definitely wear it, if decanted into something more palatable. Editing again to add that I'm really curious how well this might pair or compare with Clinique Aromatics Black Cherry. There's a similarity there for sure!

I love this perfume. I don’t normally like Carolina Herrera fragrances— to me, they all tend to smell the same — but when I saw this at Ulta and noticed the bottle, I thought it was cute, so I gave it a sniff. I fully expected not to like it, but I was pleasantly surprised. It smells beautiful. It’s not like other cherry perfumes. A lot of them try to replicate Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry, which is a nice scent, but this one stands on its own. It’s a unique take on cherry. The dry-down is deep and almost comforting. The rose in it is very faint and not overpowering at all. I’m not sure if my nose picks up the almond as much as others do, but to me, it’s not a sour or bitter cherry. It leans more toward a juicy, very dark cherry. Thankfully, it also doesn’t have that medicinal cherry vibe that many cherry perfumes tend to have. It’s such a unique scent. I even kept the scent strip with me after spraying it, before I finally bought the full-sized bottle.

this surprised me! i'm not the biggest fan of the og good girl but this flanker is a nice take on it. i wanted to try good girl blush because i've been interested in that flanker but sadly the tester bottle was empty at boots. elixir was the only other good girl out so on a whim i tried it not expecting much. i was pleasntly surprised to find i really liked this. i'm always a bit mindful of cherry notes in perfumes because i feel it can so easily end up smelling quite medicinal a lot of the time but i think the cherry is executed well here. it opens with cherry and dries down into a rosy, jammy scent. this definitely feels like a more seductive take on the original and i'm here for it. it's slightly powdery but personally i really like that. this kinda reminds me of hypnotic poison by dior; not because they smell similar but because they exude the same sexy aura. i imagine someone who wears one would probably have the other in their collection.

There’s something so addictive about this. It’s so unique I don’t have a fragrance that does what this does. I’ve gotten rid of nearly every cherry fragrance I’ve ever purchased in the past but this one is probably the only one I’m willing to claim. I’ve had Black opium over red Jimmy choo I want choo forever Perpetual Moresque Guess seductive red Some random middle eastern brands BBW cherry centered body sprays A couple niche brands that were too cherry boozy centric— and I never wanted to spend for any of the tom fords cherries either .. I think this one might just be the one. (I’m currently testing it out more and will be returning to Macys to do another full wear test but without wearing anything else) It’s femme fatal ..makes me think of a very beautiful, magnetic, mysterious dark haired brunette or raven haired attractive woman who is a spy at a gala and her target blissfully unaware has fallen madly in love at first sight with her.

Assim que borrifei o Very Good Girl Elixir, fui surpreendida por uma explosão de cereja. Mas não é qualquer cereja, não. É aquela bem suculenta sabe? Vermelha quase preta, que parece que acabou de ser colhida. Tem um toque licoroso e intenso, mas sem aquele lado artificial que alguns perfumes frutados têm. Depois de um tempo, ele começa a mudar, e é aí que o DNA do Good Girl tradicional aparece. A rosa surge de um jeito elegante, deixando tudo mais sofisticado e equilibrando a doçura da cereja. No fundo, sinto uma leve nota de cacau, quase imperceptível, mas que dá um toque mais cremoso e aconchegante para a fragrância, sem pesar. O rastro que ele deixa é maravilhoso! Fixa super bem na pele e projeta bastante nas primeiras horas, então é aquele tipo de perfume que não passa despercebido. Pra mim, ele combina muito com noites frias, encontros ou qualquer ocasião em que eu queira me sentir poderosa. Daria uma nota 8/10 :)

It starts off with this dark cherry blast paired with bitter almond—and yes, that almond is definitely bitter, not sweet. Super sharp and attention-grabbing. The fruitiness and citrus from bergamot or mandarin become totally background dancers. Then it mellows into sweetness from vanilla, and there's this floaty airiness from florals like rose and tuberose. The combo makes it seductive AF—like a nighttime club scene, party lights, a red or maroon sparkly dress, femme fatale energy in full bloom. It’s not heavy, but it definitely has depth. A mature woman scent who knows what she wants—bitter and sweet all in one. It still shares that Good Girl DNA—like the juiciness and polished vibe of the line. The dry‐down is cozy and alluring. Warm vanilla, soft rose, creamy cocoa—and that almond lingering just a touch, but balanced so well. It's extremely sexy, perfectly blended.

It has a very subtle Good Girl DNA. To me, it feels like the original Good Girl layered with Lost Cherry or Q by D&G. When it comes to cherry fragrances, I really want to love them because cherries are my favorite fruit, but for some reason they just don’t work for me — after a while of wearing them, they start making me feel nauseous. The original Good Girl is actually one of my favorite fragrances and is slowly becoming my signature scent, so Very Good Girl pleasantly surprised me at first. It felt like someone had finally managed to incorporate cherry in a way that didn’t make me sick. Unfortunately, after a few hours of wear, the nausea kicked in again. Such a shame, because my first impression was honestly amazing.

Initial spray reminds me of original Very Good Girl with the red currant scent that was sweet and powdery; reminiscent of HazerBaba's rose Turkish delight. Then the realistic almond and cherry comes out and it smells so beautiful. I finally found a cherry AND an almond scent that's neither cinnamic or drenched in amber. Dry down does go back to smelling like Very Good Girl but not as loud and powdery. Both the original and this Elixir are very good but wow they did it again with this one. This is deeper and darker, sensual almost. This is the more mature nighttime version of Very Good Girl. Something in this one gives me a headache though, so once I finish this I'll probably stick to the original Very Good Girl.

Well this is delicious! If you like the red heal, you will probably like this one too. I loved VGG but this one I prefer, the lychee note was a bit much bordering sickly sweet (still loved it) this one has a very juicy, tart, mouthwatering cherry that is accompanied by almond and rose, with vanila creaminess. Like the OG, you have three distinct points of development, first it's all about the sour cherry, then it slides into floral with hints of vanilla and almond, and at the end you are left with creamy floral with just a pinch of 🍒 Staying power is stellar, on skin 8h on clothes 12+. Personally I would say this is for all seasons, maybe not the hotest days or summer, but -10 and +25 range.

This took me on a journey. The cherry came across distinctly candy-like, giving me a flashback to sticky cherry lollipops during childhood summers. It was pleasant, but I was skeptical as I don't particularly like smelling like candy anymore. I sprayed the inside of the sample card and forgot about it for a few hours. When I came back to it, it was the most beautifully layered, deep, musky almond-cacao-tuberose. The cherry had calmed to a dull roar, but was still present enough to preserve right touch of brightness. I. Am. In. Love. If anyone has a bottle they don't want, I am more than happy to take it off your hands because the retail price is a bit steep, even for love

This fragrance isn't exactly my cup of tea, but for some reason, I can't stop coming back to it. I could easily describe it with the same phrase I used for Armani My Way: "evil sweetness." The difference is that this perfume feels much darker, more mysterious, and undeniably feminine. A cherry-liqueur-amber gourmand floral with a sweet boozy opening, a rich rose heart, and a warm vanilla-woody drydown kinda scent.It's not the kind of perfume I'd wear every day it's far too bold for that. If you're wondering who I'd imagine wearing a scent like this: Andrea Sachs from The Devil Wears Prada and Angelica Teach from Pirates of the Caribbean. 👠

I really like this perfume! I was scared to be disappointed in this cherry fragrance as I really disliked VGG Glam, and I dislike how most cherry perfumes smell on me, but since I really love VGG I still tried the Elixir, and I am so happy with the way the cherry was done in this flanker. Yes it's 80% VGG but I like the cherry/almond addition. I already own a full bottle of VGG bur I will probably purchase a 30 ml of the Elixir for whenever I crave this cherry/almond touch. Also I wear VGG mostly in the spring and summer, and I think I will wear the Elixir more during the fall and winter, which is perfect.

Such an amazing perfume. Hubby bought me this for an early Mother’s Day present after I smelled it in store last month and couldn’t stop thinking about it. Beautiful strong black cherry scent that lasts all day. My fave perfume is Angel by Thierry Muglar and has been for over a decade. Have never found anything on Angels level until now. Not sure if I like Very Good Girl Elixir better than Angel but time will tell. This perfume is perfect for any occasion but especially for special occasions like nights out. If you like sweet fruity but more deeper fragrances then you will LOVE this one ❤️❤️❤️

I usually don't comment, but I had to come and admit this: I'm definitely NOT a fan of cherry perfumes (nor any fruity notes overall) but this it's one of the perfumes that I really enjoyed and want to add to my collection. From what I've noticed, the cherry and almond are the two main notes, but the almond overpowers the cherry a bit, wich makes it a less citric cherry than most perfumes I've tried with that note before, leaving a more subtle cherry. For those that are not cherry lovers like me but want to add some variety on their collection, this can be a good choice.

I tested this in the summer and all I could smell was bitter almond. I didn’t like it much, I waited till winter to give it another shot and I’m so glad I did. I could still smell the almond but very faintly, this time I could really smell the cherry and chocolate and I was in love!!! Now it is one of my favourite Christmas/ winter fragrances. It reminds me of the cherry chocolates that my family has at Christmas. I also find it to be a very sexy fragrance, the smell, the bottle and the color.

In the past the Good Girl line has played it a little safe for my taste. They've had an intriguing enough base but there's always been something missing. Very Good Girl Elixir throws that out the window and really comes out swinging with a powerful cherry almond blend. There's something almost unapologetic about this. I think this may have less mass appeal than some of the other Good Girl fragrances but it's clearly their best contribution to fragrance.

I love it. I was looking for a sexy perfume to add to my collection and couldn’t find anything I like. I have a really hard time with gourmand fragrances, it rarely suits me. This one is exquisite. The black cherry with the bitter almond makes it stand out. Very classy and feminine. Not overpowering. The rose is perfectly well balanced. I wouldn’t recommend for a blind buy since it’s very unique, but if you like the notes, you won’t be disappointed.

This smells very similar to the original VGG, but the Elixir feels deeper and smoother, leans a bit more cherry. I liked VGG but eventually sold it because the red fruity aspect and the vanilla aspect felt like two separate ideas living in the same bottle. On the other hand, VGG Elixir blends and smooths the notes together beautifully. I’d definitely pick it over VGG, but I’m still undecided on whether it’s FBW

So much better than the non-elixir version (which I initially bought by mistake). You have to get past the opening and give it 10 mins. The cacao note starts to come through with the bitter almond and the cherry is juicy in the background. This is a date night fragrance. As a cherry note hater, I still love this perfume - so don’t let the cherry put you off. I’d give this a 8.5/10

At first it felt like I bit into a delicious black cherry! After that I smelt a little bit of the almond and then quickly turned into a rosy smell, within about 3 min I started to smell the vanilla. The notes are very prominent and easily distinguishable, I really like it, it's very feminine, empowering and intoxicating almost like the lancome tresor level of intoxicating

Such a sexy yummy scent, I'm not by any means a fruity or gourmand perfume girl but this fragrance is so addictive, probably because of the fact that all of the fan favorite gourmand notes are present but it doesn't feel like a hodge podge, it smells very balanced, not excessively sweet. Highly recommend for a sultry vibe, my fiance adores when I wear it.

On my skin, it's a combination of Very Good Girl (without the peppery note) and the classic Good Girl (in a lighter version). For me, it's an absolutely wonderful perfume with good longevity and moderate projection. Velvety, sexy, and pleasant to the nose. Nothing here spoils or irritates over time. I recommend testing it out.

Call me crazy but I believe it is so so sexy and "carnal" because the fruity, sweet smell, after a while it changes.. blends to your skin and a metallic note that reminds of blood pop out and blend perfectly to the vanilla and a sugary almond. It is a mouth-watering juicy cherry with a naughty dark note. Love love love it!!!

Gorgeous succulent dark cherry, almost like one of those dark chocolate cherry filled candies with a hint of rose. This is a classy, confident lady of the night, out on a hot date or just about town. Massive projection. Like other CH's which I love, it smells edible. Perfect evening/nighttime fragrance. ❤️

Oh my god, I want to eat this perfume. Its undoubtably a sexy scent that really should only be worn in the dark, but I love it 24/7. It feels like the older sister to many sweet perfumes. This perfume smells so delicious. I can't fully explain it, but oh my god, I love this perfume.

If you've ever had the Iced cherry chai from starbucks you know exactly what I'm talking about. That drink tastes exactly how this perfume smells. Something about that cherry note is so alluring and captivating that it really makes you smell delicious. I want to get this so bad

Maraschino cherries and boozy marzipan opening, dries down into a beautifully powdery rose. Absolutely love this perfume, makes me feel sexy and feminine! I find this to be very strong also - do not overspray this or you will feel sick and give everyone around you a headache.

This one has really surprised me. Can detect the Cherry! Starts out with a burst of almost photorealistic Cherry and the Vanilla slowly creeps in. I can definitely detect some of the OG Good Girl in the fragrance too. Does not smell anything like La Nuit Tresor Intense!

Perhaps I'm too young. Perhaps I'm too anarchic. But this perfume has me thinking about it every single day. I'm almost always reaching for a bottle of this now. Sweet, but not too sweet. It smells like being wanted, being needed. This really captures my essence.

An amazing cherry fragrance. Like, I wasn’t expecting it to be THIS good. I’d say it’s even better than Glam. The review that compared it to a black cherry gateau is correct. Juicy and sweet with the classic Good Girl almond, but a bit more evolved than Glam.

I loooove this! It ticks all the boxes. Sweet sexy musky edible smelling amazing longevity brilliant projection. 10/10 . I love the original very good girl but the Elicia’s has the added sweet cherry note that makes it more exciting.

A lovely perfume, defiantly getting the cherry and almond scents. It lasts long as well, i can smell it for ages after just a couple of sprays on my wrist.
