Miss Rocaille

Miss Rocaille just helped me power through a dreary January day. Each time I wear this I try to understand why I find it so energizing and sustaining. Today, as I took my daily rain/shine/snow constitutional around the park I had a revelation. For me, Miss Rocaille harnesses the thundering carnality of Spring. The roiling green things bursting forth violently to cast off their dormancy, and get to work on the urgent business of creativity. Earlier this week I'd had just as unexpected a revelation about a vintage bottle of Balenciaga LA Fuite Des Heures EdT that I had believed to be completely spoiled. I walked up to the perfume table in my bedroom and gave it a vicious shake. An intuition? I applied it and instantly had the Proustian moment that I had believed to be possible yet had never experienced prior. The little things growing close to the ground, the smell of which I cherished as a tiny child had been kidnapped and trapped inside the bottle like dozens of genies. This tenderness of Spring is in opposition to the rigorous adolescence of Miss Rocaille. She is off to paint a 6' by 6' canvas of her lover, en plein air. I literally own thousands of dollars worth of perfume and I'm pretty impressed that something I barely paid anything for is such a stand out in my collection. If you have feelings for the green smells of Spring you have to sample this one.

This is definitely a spring/summer fragrance. It is so refreshing! A spring garden after a rain. Lovely, cool and green. I really like the sea water note. One reviewer said it smelled musky but it doesn't on me. It has good projection and last a long time. It is not your typical Caron, it is a lovely green floral, but it's not flowery. I really love Caron classic fragrances but this one is different, special, but no less impressive. I guess the bottle is misleading because it's pink and rosy. I actually really like the bottle. It looks perfect on my vanity. The bottle is very classy and feminine. The fragrance inside, while beautiful is nothing like roses. It is perfect this spring and I am so enjoying it. Even though it's named Miss Rocaille it can be worn by anyone. It is also very affordable, one of the least expensive perfumes I own. You can find it on eBay for not a lot of money. So if you like floral greens give this one a chance. Green florals are one of my favorite categories and one is great!

We are so different and our tastes and perceptions of fragrances are, too! For me, this perfume is exceptional, a piece of art with its unique character. It's green, fresh, aromatic and very herbal, fresh spicey and citrusy at the same time, but this doesn't tell much, because the combination and blending of the notes end up in a scent that doesn't smell like anything else in the whole world! I love it and this is one of my most unique and interesting yet beautiful scents I own (and a back up bottle, too:)

I love this fragrance! The opening is very fresh and a little grassy, then the floral notes appear. The lov comes out strongly on me,it's a beautiful green lov and the basil adds to it. Stays fresh to the finish. Reminds me of a spring garden with plants almost ready to flower, and new grass underfoot. This one will definitely stay in my collection!

This is my first ever Caron and I love it. To me it smells beachy and maybe a little grassy. Mostly beachy, I guess that comes from the sea water notes. It is beautiful, perfect for summer and strong (I like strong) I hope it has great sillage and lasts a while, if it does, it just might be my summer signature scent.
