Immortelle 43 | 17

I own Immortelle 43|17 and Moena 12|69 from this brand and I’m just totally in love with both of them. Immortelle is potent and transformative, it really takes me on a journey each time it unfolds. I’d say it leans a bit more masculine, but also... who cares! Wear whatever you want! It’s warmly welcoming and friendly and intoxicating, but calming too... like meeting someone fascinating at a house party who you end up hanging out with and talking to on the couch for the rest of the night. I’ve been wearing it out throughout the Winter months (and getting complimented on it), and I can’t wait to see how it feels in the peak of Summer. Heather’s philosophy of giving back and her attention to detail (in everything she does) is more than commendable. I love how everything is packaged, it’s beautiful and recyclable/biodegradable. Could not recommend enough!

Helichrysum, or Immortelle is an oil I use daily in my home made facial oil and I’ve been searching for a perfume with this note. The scent opens up exactly as described— sun baked spices and orange are wrapped around the Orris and Immortelle, leaning it toward the masculine spicy aftershave leather vibe, which is personally not my favorite scent, but after the dry down, the notes I’m cheering for come out more soft and honeyed, and it leans more feminine and I’m enveloped in the base notes and its bliss. It’s rich and mysterious, a little bit goes a long way. It’s the middle of the winter now and I can’t wait to see how this smells in the warmer months. It is clear that so much thought and attention went into this brand from the website to the packaging.

I ordered a sample of this and when I first smelled it I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. I immediately knew what this smelled like. It smelled like the piñon incense my great aunt always had burning in her house in West Texas. It smells like West Texas and the pine trees of New Mexico. If you want to know what this smells like and/or want your house to smell similar then order some pinon incense bricks off amazon for about $10. It's a a pleasant nostalgic smell, just heavier than I personally want to wear. However, I gave the sample to my mother who immediately fell in love and ordered a full size bottle. This is definitely unisex, I'd call it a heavier fall/winter fragrance that is quite woody and incense-y.

A calming therapeutic scent centered around the very herbal smelling immortelle flower. The scent opens briefly with notes of orange peel, cinnamon and caramel before going into a deep firm heart of immortelle surrounded by slight orris. As the scent dries, one gets whiffs of honey and ambergris. The design is clearly influenced by Serge Lutens scents like El Attarine and Miel de Bois. The natural unisex scent has moderate projection and good longevity. Nice but not hugely original. Enjoy!

Immortalle 43 opens up herbal, spicy and with a bitter orange. The immortalle here almost smells like leather. I would think this was a green herbal leather fragrance. Very masculine. Dry, bitter. Almost like a tonic or medicine. Slightly salty and animalic. It smells like Braddock Bay DL to me. The forest, the swamp, the ocean. I would like this on a man for sure. He would smell of the outdoors. A very uber and realistic scent of nature type of perfume.

Oh my...It's been a while since I've been so enchanted by a sample-including the packaging! This scent is perfectly spicy, green/yellow and herbal with some sweetness playing nice with the vegetal notes. The surprise that's pulling forward (on me at least) is a delightful cumin(?) note unlike any others I've yet experienced. I like cumin in fragrance but don't often feel comfy wearing it as it tends to overpower in the long run (maybe my particular chemistry just shoots it to the moon lol). THIS however...it's just mellow and ROMANTIC. Ads an edge I'm really into. LOVE.

warm, herbal, dry, bittersweet. makes me nostalgic for places I’ve never been. a bee buzzing in meadows of yellow flowers, rifling through papers in an old wooden chest. intoxicating, unique, nourishing. I’ve been wearing it in the cold months (it’s heavenly on a sweater) and look forward to seeing how it changes in other seasons and climates. can’t stop returning to it. and the bottles (both sample and full size) are a testament to the vision and ethics of the creator, artistry through and through!
