Eau de Cartier Eau de Parfum

Simple. Gorgeous. For Eau De Cartier EDP, I’m writing a review during my third wearing. I don’t understand how someone could not pick up the vanilla or violet leaf, as it’s so strong upon application that it makes me think maybe they got a bad sample (mine is from the manufacturer). Drydown begins within the first hour, turning to musk and balsam, I don’t pick up patchouli in this composition. I can imagine wearing this anytime and anywhere, it makes me feel good, like I’m being injected with endorphins. I’m crazy for it.....even though I wish it performed better. I get about 2 hours before it turns to a skin scent. I can find this for a great deal on line, so I’m pulling the trigger. I have a lot of perfume and I’m trying to be selective about what I add to my collection. Buying Eau De Cartier EDP means I’m enthusiastically endorsing it. Edit: this is my bedtime fragrance, not much projection so it’s perfect. Just makes me feel good, I love it. Edit: back again on 01-09-22 I’m getting pretty good performance with this scent. I sprayed about 6 hours ago and it’s lightly projecting. I forgot how much I love this Cartier. A very unique take on a green vanilla. Still love it.

If you like vanilla you will be very impressed with this. The performance numbers are a little all over the place on here and I was a little confused at first too. This has average projection. But the smell itself gives the impression that it will be beastly, as it the case with vanilla heavy fragrances like Eros and Le Male. even the juice itself looks a bit darker, it's a shame this isn't beastly but I'm sure some people might prefer that even if I don't. It's elegant, not too sweet and an excellent scent for the office/ winter occasions. My favorite Cartier out there.

I received a deluxe sample of this. I was really excited to try it, because when I saw the notes on here, it seemed like it would be a winner to me. The vanilla is a nice touch. It is still similar to the original Eau De Cartier EDT, just a bit sweeter with the vanilla, and a touch spicier. It still has the DNA of EDC. I think this is just a new concentration, I don't believe it is replacing the original.

First of all, Yes, it does smell a lot like EdC EdT original, but It’s better, much better. And once the inicial phase is past, What you have is something very similar to Dior Bois d’Argent. Nothing more nothing less.

* Eau de Cartier EdP: Glad I didn’t pay too much for my bottle! Eau de Cartier EdP is a bit of a disappointment; the “Eau de Parfum” is a big throw-off for me, given the hugely understated nature of this one (compared to the original and the concentree versions). I do detect the classic peppery-tangy notes of the original Eau de Cartier, which then transitions into a sweet and musky unisex foundation (via the vanilla, balsam, and amber notes). But the sillage for EdC EdP is atrocious: It’s barely feels like a skin scent, and I have to sniff like crazy to even detect that it’s on! (This was slightly improved by a heavy re-application hours later, as well as my doing some spring cleaning...the scent suddenly magnified!). If I were to make this otherwise interesting retake of the original Eau de Cartier a regular scent, I’d probably go through the bottle pretty quick with all the re-application refresher spritzes I’d end up doing! Feel sorry for anyone who pays the usual sky-high price for a 3.3oz bottle of Eau de Cartier EdP. Hmph. Overall: 2, Longevity: 3, Sillage: 2
