La Panthere Noir Absolu

I received this as a gift and to be honest I didn't like how it smelled at the beginning, I forgot about it for a few months at the back of my closet. One day I remembered it and decided to wear it, was absolutely amazed by how good it smelled. Definitely a unisex smell and very long lasting, love it.

Intoxicating, seducing, rich and luxurious. I am a lover of white floral scents, warm but not sweet, long lasting with not so much transformation. This is it! My precious! It is just perfect! LOVE!

Great flanker, gardenia combined with a NATURAL oud perfectly blended

A Black Obscure Gardenia. Dark, bitter, smoky, woody scent. It is not the typical oud scent. It is more a black wood smell with flowery fresh-fruity background. Odd. But nice. Original.

It doesn’t smell anything like Oud or Gardenia. The scent is synthetic. It reminds me of old whiteboard marker.

This is a very heavy scent, and it smells synthetic and nauseating. Very tough for European taste.

This smells quite similar to Alien Oud Majestueux by Thierry Mugler - just not as plastic-y or dirty. Noir Absolu does smell natural and nature-derived... after its initial medicinal opening which I find rather obnoxious. However it's the exact same oud accord repeated here as it was in Alien Oud Majestueux. It is this unique 'wet' smelling agarwood mixed w/ white flowers. Smells nothing like the ubiquitous rose-oud combo that you find everywhere nowadays, so do not think having experience w/ that sort of thing will prepare you to appreciate this. Here you have a much more subdued gardenia than what you find in the original. It barely smells carnal or mushroom-like. That moist oud accord and some slightly dirty musc envelop it neatly enough. The opening is decidedly medicinal. Yet the drydown is extremely sensual and cashmere-like which is its undeniable triumph. Unlike the mothership, this is quite a warm concoction. I think many Westerners will find this particular type of oud accord quite alienating and unpleasant. It does smell odd. Thankfully, I like it quite a bit. Noir Absolu still smells expensive and upper crust, yet the loss of oakmoss is its MAJOR shortcoming. The heart of La Panthere is the deadly combo of gardenia and oakmoss - now one half of that heart is gone. This is a big issue for me. And refraining from combining oakmoss and agarwood appears, in my opinion, very cowardly. None of the flankers conjured from this masterpiece of a perfume lives up to the greatness of the mothership. I like Noir Absolu, but between the three editions of La Panthere that I presently own, the original is still the untouchable masterpiece. Choose that one if you feel inclined to purchase one of them. The original La Panthere is truly gleaming like no other. It is clear this flanker was created with the Arab market in mind. And very much like Alien Oud Majestueux, this is the flanker of a wildly successful and impactful white floral w/ the added feminine oud accord. So not very unique, nor that provocative. But still rather sexy in some expensive... warm nights w/ a new lover... and to-be-touched-and-wanting-to sort of way. Gender neutral-ish.

ok so i recently got the la panthere line - the bottles attracted me lol- and this is my review for the noir version - i love the eau de toilette & the eau de parfum........... now the noir version is the leader of the pack or the alpha lol of the versions.............. this version is definitely much earthier/dirtier & woodier i would say its a earthy woody scent - im not even sure i would say floral lol - the gardenia i think softens the earthiness - even though its very earthy i still really like it - i dont love it but i really like it its not strong or offensive which im so surprised at because the notes in it one would think powerhouse lol - but its actually pretty low key i would say dont blind buy this scent - i think its one of those unique scents & not for everyone - but worth checking out for something exotic :) also i read in the other reviews some sed very strong...hmmmm......on me it wasnt that way - probably chemistry lol i would say this is the queen of the jungle scent lol.......la alpha panthere :)

I was really excited to test this since I own and adore La Panthère and La Panthère Légère. I thought that this version will have the gorgeous floral smell of La Panthère with a bit of a warm oud addition, oh boy I was so wrong ! This perfume smells so strong, so woody and metallic. I only can discern oud and a bit of musk, I don't know where the gardenia is. This perfume is sharp, and have nothing in common with the rest of La Panthère line. It's not feminine at all, the opening is too sharp and the drydown has a strong spicy masculine vibe. I understand why it's only sold in the Middle East because it's so strong and feels so masculine.

La Panthere Noir Absolu Cartier in my opinion is a Unisex perfume, Opens with a very animalic and lactonic oud, It is very bold, there is no leather note listed but the animalic vibe gives me a leathery texture, To me this is a cold weather white floral perfume, In cold weather the freshness of Musk shines through and makes it very pleasant and wearable, I think this should have been produced with a new name not as a flanker, I really cannot find any similarities to the original La panthere. Both very beautiful on their own, It is loud and long lasting, Will match perfectly with a leather jacket ♠️✔🔥 #ladylovesperfumes
