Les Heures de Cartier: L'Heure Convoiteé II

Feminine fragrance, very affected, where the impetuous carnation reigns supreme, undisturbed, surrounded by soft and at times more intense notes of Iris, and sweetly fruity and juicy notes of strawberry. A fragrance that evolves towards powdery, reminiscent of the dark and dusty boudoirs of the dancers of the Pigalle nightclubs in Paris, always surrounded by a cloud of powdery face powders, immersed in floral scents. Undoubtedly a fragrance for women who love this genre. Like all Cartier artistic creations, the fragrance lasts over time.

This is all about CARNATION. There is a hint of citrus in the top, then a very creamy, spicy carnation. Smooth. I also would swear there is sandalwood in this, too. The drydown has a bit of wood in it. This "reminds" of Bellodgia but is not as complex as that masterpiece. This is good. A modern carnation with a classic/vintage vibe.

beautiful fragrance! a long lasting trail of strawberry/carnation/iris reminiscent of "L'air du temps". One of my favourite carnations EVER. long lasting and with a perfect projection. A masterpiece.

L'Heure Convoitée II is roughly translated as "the coveted hour". It is an unusual, distinctive perfume, featuring a multifaceted, fruity take on carnation. Spicy, sweet and soft, it is a deeply sensual "red" scent that is as compelling as it is beautiful. Mathilde Laurent has once again created a deceptively simple masterpiece. HCII opens with what I can best describe as tinned peaches - sweet, fruity and syrup-like. The objective of the « Les Heures » line is to evoke memories in a Proustian manner, and even though tinned peaches evoke childhood memories of simple, homemade dessert for me, this is surely not the intended effect of this particular scent, as the notes do not correspond. After about a quarter of an hour, HCII settles, and sweet, candy-like strawberry emerges, joined by spicy, clove-like carnation. This is such an interesting pairing of notes - I haven't smelled this accord before. It becomes very powdery as it dries down, with delicate iris emerging, adding its distinctive soft melancholic quality to HCII. It provides a cool "yin" counterbalance to the spicy "yang" of the carnation note. This scent fades after several hours, becoming a powdery skin scent with a hint of cloves. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A feminine-leaning, but potentially unisex scent, the carnation note - rarely a focal point in perfumery - is given a rare opportunity to shine. I smiled when reading the review below by Enrium, where they say: "A feminine-leaning, but potentially unisex scent..." I am a man who loves to wear perfumes designed for women and this was too femme for me. Carnation is one of my favorite notes, but the strawberry is intense, realistic (+), and quite girly in this one. Girly as in teenage girl. Powdery notes are nice too, but feminine. There is absolutely nothing masculine in this fragrance EXCEPT the carnation. To me, carnation smells alternately spicy (like clove) or waxy and aseptic (like sticking your nose to a fresh stack of copy paper.) Combined with the powder and the strawberry, you get Barbie. Don't get me wrong - I think it's a beautiful and totally unique scent. Kind of thinking of ordering another sample as I write this...

Photorealistic carnation + strawberry in a beauteous, juicy blend of lusciousness. Wholly feminine, refreshingly (perchance defiantly) unique. However, drydown flips the script, introducing a shy iris ducking behind vague cloves in a ghostly, powdery fusion of confusion. Further in evolution, another apparition floats in...a woody rose not sure of itself, a wallflower peeking around the corner, one eye closed, the other in a squint as if to ask, “Can I come in?”

Cloves! That’s mostly what I smell, a beautiful fresh fragrant mixture of cloves and powdery flowers. Smells somewhat seasonal, as wintery as a non-woody floral can get. Might work in other seasons too though I can’t imagine it yet.

Now this is an interesting, unique take on carnation. It‘s intensely powdery and more of a classic perfumey than a naturalistic carnation, but the combination with strawberry is something new. And oh my, I really smell a sweet, ripe, gigantic strawberry here! Almost more than the carnation. Unfortunately there is something metallic in the background that ruins the scent for me. Maybe it‘s an aspect of the iris note, but I usually don‘t have this problem with iris. I looked this up on Cartier‘s website and I want to add they also list green notes, rose and crème de marrons for L’Heure Convoiteé, even though none of these is especially dominant to me. A hint of rose might be noticeable though. Not for me, but absolutely worth a try if you‘re interested in carnation scents and powdery florals in general. Lasts over night on me.

شماره 2 عطری که برای پذیرفتنش یکم سخته حتی تو مخیلات من هم این تیپ بو جایی تو دنیای لوکس و پرزرق و برق کارتیه نداره شماره 2 عطری بشدت انتزاعی. لوس و آدامس طور. شروع عطر منو بیاد فروشگاههای بزرگ میندازه تو قسمت شوینده جات که پر است از روایح تند و تیز و میوه ای. شماره دو بوی حمامی رو میده که توش با شامپو بدنت حسابی داری کیف میکنی شامپو بدنی که اسانسی میوه ای داره. بشدت دخترونه. بشدت صورتی و قرمز و شاد. استارت این عطر تمام قد منو بیاد عروسک‌های باربی میندازه تو قلب عطر بعد از یک ربع اوضاع جدی تر میشه نسبتا بوی اکورد میوه ای جای خودشو به آکوردی فلورال با حسی کرمی و صابونی میده که ته بویی ادویه ای هم همراهشه نمیدونم چرا ولی واضحا بوی ادویه میخک در کنار حسی فلورال پودری و بالمی طور احساس میشه. عطر شماره 2 حالا از ی دختر تینیجر و لوس تبدیل به بانویی باوقار شده زنانگی توی عطر شماره 2 موج میزنه درای داون بعد از یکساعت بویی که این عطر ایجاد میکنه بوی پوست زنی سفید پوست هست که بعد از حمام تمام بدنش رو به لوسیونی با بوی رز و زنبق وادويه میخک اغشته کرده. فارق از استارت عجیب عطر. پایان به شکل عجیبی بوی اروتیک و سکسی و لوندی به خودش میگیره آقایون ابدا سمت این عطر نیاید کیفیت عطر گرچه تو شروع برام اصلا جالب نبود ولی بعد از یک ربع ورق برمیگرده و رایحه خارق العاده شکل پیدا میکنه هرچی از استارت فاصله میگیریم رایحه جدی تر میشه و به کمال میرسه جوری که درای داون رسما ی شاهکار سکسی روی پوست تحویل میده کارتیه پخش بوی عطر بنظرم زیاده موندگاریش هم روی پوست نسبتا بالاست. از نظر شباهت عطری که مدام به ذهنم میاد موقع تست این عطر. کنزو فلاور بود. بوی شدید گلی و صابونی و آرایشی طور.

Carnation is a tricky note and it's perfectly done here in L'Heure Convoiteé II. The carnation keeps it's authentic spicy note, but is softened by the powdery make-up notes of iris and sweetened with a light strawberry. L'Heure Convoiteé II is a unique scent. It doesn't smell like anything else on the market. There are other great carnation scents, but I can't think of one that goes so fully in the powdery direction and avoids other spice notes. All the spice is pure carnation. The Heures collection is chock full of well-done scents. This one is exceptionally beautiful.

1st impression. A very realistic strawberry with the green stem but unsweetened. Slighty metallic rose and then very dry powder. I really don’t smell any clove, chestnuts or carnation. Maybe that metallic note with the rose is the clove or carnation. I have other carnation fragrance that’s I adore and I can’t smell those (Guerlain fragrances) here. I’m hoping it just needs time to settle so more notes “bloom” for me as it just was shipped to me today.

Dry powdered strawberry flavored carnations... It's like dry strawberry, dry carnations, and a powder put all together in a blender transfer them to full powdered dust, put in a glass and on top place a ripe iris... it's "Cartier Convoiteé".. You can detect the fruitti sweetness (jam like) in a dusty way. It is nice blend, but quite overpriced.

I was hoping for this to be a love for me, but there is a sharp synthetic feeling that reminds me of nail polish remover that I can’t get past. I experience this in some neroli perfumes as well. Bummer that it just didn’t give me wild strawberries and iris.
