Gran Ballo

Xerjoff gran ballo is my forth xerjoff and while I can't name it my most favorite one,I can say I like and enjoy it a lot.I also find it easier to wear compared to my beloved lira or bouquet ideal I think most other xerjoffs marketed for females,are actually unisex and are easily wearable by men too.unlike them,gran ballo is feminine head to toe.I see it's compared with viva la juicy.well I both agree and disagree.they share similar skeleton of white florals-gourmand notes but they're different in details so in whole they don't smell similar A bouquet of flowers,to be more specific: modern white florals is the main actress here.honey suckle is detectable and it's pretty and true to life,unlike viva la juicy and similar gourmands there's not a trace of fruity notes, this is what makes it less teenage like and more ladylike Honey suckle, gardenia and Jasmine are rounded by a delicious,buttery base of caramel,vanilla and amber like a soft touch of powder on a sweet creamy base There's something in gran ballo which saves it from being a generic caramelized white floral.I can smell something like champacka in it.or let's say,something like roasted coconut powder.I can find a similar thing in Taylor swift enchanted. So for me Gran ballo seems to be a love child of viva la juicy and wonder struck enchanted but also with good balance,high quality ingredients and without berries As I find this blend very yummy I highly recommend it to all gourmand lovers but you may love it even if you're not a gourmand lover.even you're looking for a well rounded,sweet white floral scent with a very modern feeling you have to try it.it's sweetness isn't sharp,syrupy or cloying.It stays soft all through it's life, albeit not soft in sillage as it projects very well,but at the same time it's not heavy and is wearable almost always in mild weather Longevity is great(+10 hours) and it's happy and playful without being too childish Only thing I don't like about it is it's bottle.I love it's pink color but I believe pink doesn't go well with green.also it would be much better if it's bottle was transparent(like mefisto or bouquet ideal)

This fragrance is super weird to my nose, but I don't mean that in a bad way. There are no fruits listed, but I could swear there is something lightly fruity in the opening. Like red currants, or red berries, and a hint of citrus? A beautiful strong floral fragrance that I am not familiar with. A hint sweet, but I would not say caramel sweet, a hint of almost soapy, with that weird hint of imaginary citrus... that is not a listed note. I love it! There is this beautiful naturally sweet floral fragrance in the scent aura around me. Reminds me of walking past someone's home late at night, and smelling the floral scent drifting from the flowerbeds and backyards. Not sure why it evokes that specific memory of night-time florals, but that is exactly what this smells like to me. It is dreamy. The longer this sits on my skin, the sweeter it gets, and I can finally almost smell the caramel. But this is never delicious smelling to me. It's not a delicious caramel, it's more like... sweet tobacco. An earthy floral caramel. So weird, unique, and intoxicating to my nose. A fragrance that I cannot wait to stop reviewing, and start... just wearing and enjoying.

Wow! A blast of a late spring evening when the honeysuckle are most fragrant, when you walk past and they walk backwards to stand in the middle of the scent (and then pick a flower to smell on the rest of the walk). The initial spray is all strong, pretty, white floral--a woman's dream. After the honeysuckle dries down a bit, maybe a half hour, on my skin the gardenia predominates, although, like all Xerjoff perfumes, the composition is so exquisite and nuanced that other white florals wift by. Projection is like a rocket; the scent fills up a room and stays for the day; the fourth masked person in a line spaced six-feet apart can smell you. This is definitely feminine and IMHO a night scent (maybe when it dries down more, I'll revise this; but I don't see it as "office wear"). I'm not getting any caramel or vanilla, just sweet florals. I wonder if younger women would like it: it really does seem to me like something a prima ballerina would wear to the opening night party. Anyway, it's magnificent, and probably worth the money if you've got it.

Pretty, Sweet, Floral and very light. Perfect for Springtime and Summer. This is quite similar to Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy but less harsh and perhaps a little less “in your face” if that makes any sense. I love the airiness and lightness of this fragrance. It feels very “young” and carefree as well. Though I am no longer in my twenties (or in my thirties for that matter), I love to wear this fragrance casually on dates, or when I am out going on errands. It’s a perfect way to smell sophisticated without even trying. Longevity: 5 hours. Not too bad. Longer on clothes Projection: mild but I love it that way Season: warm months. Unfortunately, where I live, it’s only a few short months 😭 Price: of course, these Xerjoff babies are pricy...I got mine at a heavy discount and because I had been watching it for several months...sometimes, it’s a matter of patience... All in all Gran Ballo is wonderful and I am enjoying it immensely 🩷🩷

I got this fragrance in a group of sample fragrances from a great seller on EBay. I got some real beauties: Narcotic V Nasomatto, Blossom Love, and another one I can’t remember at the moment. I actually loved all these fragrances which is lucky but this one I bought a FB immediately. It just has an amazing sweet, happy, personality. It’s not the most groundbreaking fragrance in the world but it just fits my personality. My grandmother had a huge backyard with tons of plants. One creeping vine on one side of the garage was a huge honeysuckle. This reminds me of that plant a little bit. This is quite a lot like Juicy but done in the way Juicy should have been done. It JC but a far more sophisticated version. It’s a love for me. Next I’ll be trying Lira.

This is pretty girl fragrance! Sweet and fruity fresh type of scent. Inoffensive, leaning more in spring and summer but can be worn year around. Initial spray is strong blast of fresh sweetness, after it settles on my skin it turns more mellow, but it still got its crisp and bright sweetness. This scent lasts many hours on my skin. Lasting power is amazing on me! I dont find Juicy couture dna in this but i got the reference, this also has youthfull, sweet vibe in it. This is very feminine but not soft or delicate way, this has punch in it. It has kinda pungent smell, i suppose gardenia is quite strong note in this. Although it softens a bit after dry down. All in all I like this perfume!

Love the scent but performance very weak. I dont smell caramel or creamy notes.. only flower... and sadly, no matter how much u spray it wont give you stronger or better projection/sillage... barely last more than 6 hours. Do not worry, it will not offend people around you if you oversprayed. It only will stay linger for you. Gran Ballo is only for those who loves very soft soft scent. If you are looking for a beast performance.. strong... kick in the ass piece..this is definitely not yours. I got 2 bottles only bcoz they have clearance sale... regardless its performance, the scent worth the price i paid tho. Just dont buy it on retail price, its a waste imho.

I've been waiting to buy this beauty for more than a year, it is absolutely gorgeous, but really really expensive. Gran Ballo is a floral-gourmand perfume, having a beautiful gardenia in the foreground and waves of sweet accents-caramel and vanilla in the background. I also have to agree with the ones that have said it is similar to Viva la Juicy, but more grown up and sophisticated. If Viva la Juicy is a bohemian teenager, Gran Ballo is a sexy lady who is brave enough to wear pastel pink shirts (or skirts). I am totally impressed with this perfume, it is feminine, delicate, but, in the same time, it is powerful and makes a statement. Awesome!

I am so glad I took a risk buying this blind. I used to wear Juicy Couture a lifetime ago and remember it vaguely. However, in more recent times, I had a coworker who wore JC and I absolutely hated the scent trail she left behind. Made me want to gag. That being said I was afraid to purchase Gran Ballo given the comparisons to said fragrance. Well, I just got Gran Ballo today and it's a love for me. It's so much more refined than JC and elegant. Doesn't smell teeny bopper or synthetic. I do catch the slight resemblance in the opening but this isn't cloying and obnoxious like JC. It's a sweet princess scent and I'm here for it.

I love this, it is beautiful and comforting, a hug in a bottle. This is one of my favourite in the Casamorati range, this and Italica. This is super feminine and dreamy. On me it doesn't project as much as I want, it is the only con. However, when I wear this I can't stop smelling my wrist or the clothing I am wearing. I do think it smells like Juicy Couture, it has more than an inkling of it, this is more masterfully blended but way more expensive and so the choice is yours. I do like you can buy 30mls of the Casamoratis so you don't blow a lot of money on larget bottles, although I have.

I don't think it's anything exceptional but it is soft and feminine and musky enough to really enjoy the wear time. I feel sexy enough in it to wear it at night but it's also safe for work or day time too. It isn't offensive at all, you could wear this to dinner and not shove it down their throats. I'm not sure about the price, that's a personal situation, but for me it's so lovely and won't get overlooked in my collection. I think it's safe for any age but I feel it's a feminine fragrance.

Not as floral and fresh as I expected it to be. Fantastic opening. After a few minutes, it turns into a current of honey and caramel. Very sweet and playful but sadly it has weak sillage and longevity. I understand why some people here mentioned the metallic vibe. I assume it’s the tangerine that creates the sharpness. On my skin, it is very smooth though. Update: The fruitiness comes through after some time. I think I really like this despite the heavy caramel element.

I absolutely love this. I used to wear VLJ so that's nostalgic to me but a bit juvenile at this point. This is like VLJ's older sister though. It's sweet, creamy, a bit clean, and an easy reach. I normally don't even like white florals, but they're great in here. The florals aren't too much and the caramel and vanilla really balance it out. Simply beautiful. Absolutely a compliment getter... an easy blind buy! This is signature scent worthy.

Thi is a beautifully feminine and refined fragrance. It opens soft, slightly sweet, and floral, with a delicate, polished feel that never becomes overwhelming. It’s perfect for spring and mild weather, giving that effortless “put together” vibe. If you overspray and layer it with a hair perfume, it can last around 7 to 8 hours. Overall, it’s a graceful, pretty scent, feminine, elegant, and easy to wear.

This is a beautiful scent! It's got honeysuckle, vanilla and caramel in it which adds a lot of flavour to it. However, I do have to say that the longevity and projection with this fragrance are not the best. It lasts on my skin for about 5 hours then starts to fade away and turn into a skin scent. All in all, a classic and feminine fragrance for all ladies!

Absolutely beautiful creamy white florals drizzled with warm velvety caramel and a hint of powdery vanilla so delectable smooth and satisfying! It's a veryyyy refined Meow by Katy Perry for sure! If I had the dough I'd buy this over Meow but since I already have Meow I'll save my $ for other niche beauties! Really enjoy this one though!

I love love love this scent 💜 so creamy and fresh and sweet caramel delicious light tangerine and honey. I don't know what people speaking about viva la juicy cuz I hade that to but definitely it's not a dup ,actually it's not a dupe for anything, GB it's self beautiful and unique

It's a very elegant floral. Not much gourmand, in fact I didnt know caramel and vanilla was in it until looking at this page. The caramel does add a little salty note to it. Very uplifting and regal. Not something I would wear everyday, but for special dress-up occasions.

Love this!! Flowers, slightly sweet, clean. Nothing old fashioned about it to me. I get honeyed jasmine that is grounded with hint of sandalwood. Berry and citrus are well blended- neither is pronounced but gives the sweet freshness to it.

i knew i liked white florals so i decided to sample this as well. i’m pleasantly surprised by this one !! to me it’s very light sweet and fresh which i LOVE. as i’m typing this i can’t stop smelling my wrist it’s kinda addicting

Xerjoff is definitely my favorite house. I have tried 10+ samples recently and loved them all! This one is no exception. The floral opening settles into a sweet dry down. Perfect scent for spring and summer!

This is a pretty floral gourmand which is easy to spray and wear. It doesn’t last very long on me or my clothes - perhaps 2 hours max. It’s inoffensive, unlike the price. Buy Viva La Juicy instead.

So beautiful, so complex and blended to perfection! On my 5th Casamorati/ Xerjoff scent and I think I am becoming their biggest fan!

If Gran Ballo had even slightly better longevity and sillage, I would have never purchased any other perfumes.

This is a very pretty perfume, ultra feminine. It smells very similar to Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia.

Initially upon first spray, I can see the resemblance to sweet-floral fragrances of the early 2000's. There's something undeniably youthful about Gran Ballo, and the comparisons to the likes of Viva La Juicy are not without merit, but this is certainly no Viva La Juicy clone. As it dries down, it is much less sweet than you would think, and the florals become soapy on me. Whereas the popular DNA of teen fragrances of yesteryear were sweet and bubbly with transparent florals, Gran Ballo tones that sweetness down and takes that DNA and turns it into something a bit more mature, luxe, and office friendly. In the end, it's floral, ever so slightly sweet, and soapy. It lasts long as a skin scent but isn't some projection monster. This fragrance is for those who love scents such as Viva La Juicy and want a more mature, everyday, wearable scent that is reminiscent of those fragrances. It's likable, pretty, but for me not very memorable and not full bottle worthy. However I can see the appeal.

This doesn't smell anything like juicy couture to me, it's not even really in the same family. I don't get any caramel either. JC is a fruity floral gourmand more on the gourmand side to me whereas this is a bright fresh fruity floral. For some reason I get a LOT of citrus here. It's in no way too similar to JC to not own both if you're so inclined, however I don't feel this is anywhere near worth the price tag. I love xerjoff but this one, although nice, is fairly generic and quality wise it's on par with designer scents, both the smell and the strength. Honestly it could be something from VS (not an insult, I like VS). If it WERE VS I would probably buy it because it would be worth that price. The bottle is super cute. PS I know 100% that my sample is real so it's either my skin chemistry or potentially a reformulation, because I truly get ZERO caramel or anything gourmand, unless you consider fresh fruit gourmand.

Initial spray is very sweet, but it mellows out. I mostly get caramel, sandalwood, and gardenia. I do pick up on the "metallic" smell others have mentioned. Also, it has a powdery perfume smell. I asked my boyfriend what he thought and he said that it just smelled like perfume, and he didn't like it much. And he has complimented me, sometimes specifically, while wearing other fragrances. It kinda hurts my sinuses if I smell it too much. And I have dug my most into my wrist, smelling others before without it bothering me. It smells good, but I wish it were a little lighter, brighter, and juicier, but that's just my preference. I just tried layering with Dolce&Gabbana Pour Femme, and it adds more juicy fruitiness and lightness. Also, the marshmallow note from Pour Femme adds more sweet fluffiness.

I can't believe this smells very similar with Viva La Juicy. I sprayed once of each perfumes on my both arms. The difference is upon spraying it, Viva La Juicy has more alcohol, I have to wait a little bit for the alcohol to evaporate so I can smell the real scent. Grand Ballo has more oil, upon spraying it I smell the caramel and floral, I'm sure there's some fruits too but not listed here. Gran Ballo is stronger and smoother, but the scent is almost identical with VLJ. After an hour, I can still smell Grand Ballo on my arm but not Viva La Juicy. If you like the scent of Grand Ballo but have problem with the price, Viva La Juicy definitely is a good dupe, just spray more to get a better strength.

This is initially a well-executed, more natural version of Viva la Juicy to my nose, but sadly there is a drydown that becomes sharp on my skin. I prefer Viva la Juicy Sucre over this, despite it smelling more synthetic. Edit 2/2023: I bought the hair perfume of this to give it another shot. I have had it on skin for 15 minutes, more or less. It might need to settle from being in the mail today. The hair perfume is literally in an opaque glass as far as I can tell. I was worried it would be plastic. Worth it for that pretty little trinket alone. I still see the resemblance to VLJ without the weird celery note the former has on me. Sadly the scent is strong and makes me a bit headachey.

Likeable and nice. I could imagine for example a father getting this as a present for her teenage daughter. A very pretty scent. I absolutely love the first whiff (I think its the honeysuckle) but that evaporates quickly, leaving you with a flowery sweet gourmand. You can blind buy it, I doubt any young woman would hate on it. Although it will not be my favorite (due to its fast evaporation time, higher price tag, and being a bit non descript), I still can appreciate it. I was travelling today on the bus and thought, hmm someone smells really nice, and guess what - it was me, wearing this perfume :0) There is just something warm and comforting in this.

I wasn’t wowed by this at first. I purchased a few Xerjoff samples and Lira was the only one that bewitched me. But...revisiting this months later, I really, really like this! Perhaps more so than lovely Lira. It’s an unusual gourmand-leaning fragrance that might appeal to sweetie lovers and white floral lovers alike. Caramel and gardenia are prominent for me. An unusual pairing, with the intense, fudgy caramel sweetness tempered by an undercurrent of potent white floral wickedness. Moderate sillage, beastly longevity. Potentially a full bottle coming soon...

It’s Christmas Eve and I decided to give this one a whirl as I’ve had a bottle sat in my stash for a while and not reached for it. This was a pleasant surprise it opened with a floral note but there’s a cheeky little gourmand twist in the drydown that makes this a little different to the usual white floral. This was kind of a blind buy for me as although I had tried it in store I’d also tried lots of other fragrances so couldn’t be sure if id bought the right one! I’m not disappointed and will enjoy wearing this

This really is a grown up version of Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy and I am here for it! The florals have more dominance and add a necessary edge to the scent. The caramel adds sweetness without turning the fragrance into a gourmand. I would never wear Viva La Juicy again personally (that will be kept firmly in my Middle school days) but I am so happy to have this in my collection instead. It feels reminiscent but also modern and mature. Strong sillage/moderate longevity on me.

This is 85% similar to Viva La Juicy but, to me, a little less juvenile. It’s a candied floral that still manages to feel clean and polished. Like a crisp white linen dress on a spring day. It lacks the depth of the other offerings I love from this house but it’s not bad by any means. Generic and crowd-pleasing, if anything. It’s a like but not a love for me. A got a great deal on a bottle but I won’t be repurchasing once I’ve finished it.

I'm a huge Xerjoff fan, this is probably my first decant that left me underwhelmed. It's nice, but on me, the florals are sharp and biting, none of the creamy depth I prefer in a white floral. It's not horrible, but i would have to layer it with something deeper, more silky and musky to make it not so sharp, and even tho i'm a layering fanatic, at this price tag it would have to also be perfect on it's own. Not my favorite.

I agree with everyone saying it smells like Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy. I don't get alcohol in the opening like I do with VLJ and Grand Ballo is much smoother and refined. It's soft, sweet and perfect for spring. I like it a lot and like having a bottle of it. But it's not a love. It just doesn't wow me in any way. This is what I wear on a pretty spring day when I have some quick errands to run.

My daughter says it smells really good. It is indeed very nice. Xerjoff does it's gourmands perfectly - you get a buttery scent, shaped like a lovely amber gem with no edges. Yet this is not a unique scent nor a masterpiece, so IMHO - way too pricey for a nice, unmemorable perfume. Also, sorry but the bottle is hideous.

This fragrance is a relly easy to like in casamorati xerjoff niche house Its a vanila floral caramel smell I do think it’s reminds me a lot of VLJ BT IN A LOT MORE REFINED and a lot more longer lasting power Its definitely a woman feminine fragrance and super sexy and quiet musky Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 7/10 Silage: 6/10

As mentioned in the previous comments... this is juicy couture viva la juicy minus the citrus and the praline. It's fun sweet white floural. Nice for spring its young and light hearted. Good longevity on my dry skin, 5 hours. But too expensive for what it offers though. There a lot of cheaper nice alternatives.

This. Smells. Like. VIVA LA JUICY. With an unfortunate added note of jasmine. Lots of honeysuckle and vanilla, with a hint of Alien sneaking in. I am going to be testing this further to see if the sillage and lasting power are better, because I LOVE Viva but the sillage and lasting power on it suck.

Beautiful, floral-gourmand fragrance. To me Viva la Juicy is not even closer to this. Probably they have something very similar in the drydown because of vanilla and caramel notes but Gran Ballo is softer, creamy, floral. Viva la juicy is sharper and smells like a fruity cake.

Really pretty scent, but longevity is horrendous... I wish it was better on my skin, but it is basically non-existent. It is 2 hours later and it is absolutely gone, as if never there. Glad I only got a small sample of it - lovely scent, but not worth the price tag.

This one smells exactly like Girlfriend by Justin Bieber, but with way weaker projection and longevity. Generic sweet, fruity floral smell. Comparing the price tags of the two, you're better off getting Girlfriend. Gran Ballo is wayyy overpriced for what it is.

I really like the smell of Gran Ballo, but it lasted 3 hours and was weak sauce. I’m thinking of buying the original VLJ since reviewers are saying it’s the same, yet stronger. This is the only disappointing Xerjoff performance that I’ve encountered.

Really pretty, sweet, smooth Jasmine and Gardenia floral. Slightly creamy and I feel like I smell a hint of bubble gum. The problem is I have never sprayed a perfume so much just to have it last less than a body spray, I'm talking less than an hour.

Smells like a sophisticated more boujee type of Viva La Juicy. Really sweet, really bright and youthful. But there are so many perfumes with this same profile, I don't think you really need to have them all. It's nice but that's all there is.
