This to me smells like having gay sex with a Soviet paratrooper. Like you enlisted right when you hit adulthood partially out of the patriotic responsibility to the motherland and partially out of a desperation to get out of your rural village. Then after abt 2 years of being on reserve they pack you up and ship you off to Afghanistan and now you're in rural Helmand province with a VDV soldier who's a few years older than you. He's handsome but you can tell from his haggard look he's definitely seen some combat. You're both in a shitty truck at 1am, idling the engine partially in case of an ambush and partially because it's freezing outside during nighttime and neither of you have adequate protection against the cold. It's dawning on the both of you that you're likely never going to feel the intimate touch of a woman, so while neither of you are "gay", per se, you both fuck out of desperation. In the back of your shitty truck, the smell of gas filling the cabin from a slight leak that hasn't been patched, mixing with the scent of vulcanized rubber coming from his boots as you thrust into him. You lean in and take a deep whiff of his father's old coat as you climax, getting a whiff of musty old leather as his father's great patriotic war medals brush up against your face. After that, you both never speak about what transpired again, and 2 months later he dies in a Mujahideen ambush.

I like this a lot, the gasoline and violet and latex are so sexy to me and bring about memories of college parties in the most purely nostalgic way, but unfortunately it dries down smelling kind of iris-y, which is a shame as I detest iris. Funny enough given the name, it smells like a sweaty makeout in a car with someone wearing Red Moscow
