finally got a decent enough sample to wear it a couple of times generously, i find it to be a very nice scent , not what i would call earth shattering , but pleasant enough that i wish i had more of it, difficult to find..if i could only get a good buy on it i would purchase a bottle. from lucky scent at 125.00 cannot pull the trigger just yet, however i really do enjoy this fragrance and it seems more and more as it develops, unique enough. it seems to be a citrus but with a muskier afterglow..i get the tonka bean, definitely to me more like a a riverside drive type after development..although prefer riverside drive. i do really like this one though and it is growing on me.i could see myself purchasing if i could find a "deal" on it..i will keep looking..i have some green irish tweed and i don't quite get that comparison or cool water..it seems so different to me but maybe it is just my nose on it. i wish perfumed court had it so i could investigate it more....good fragrance though and worth a sniff..! I sort of get a little green irish tweed in the beginning ..one very nice fragrance to try out..i think it would grow on others as it did me..

This one is growing on me. I am really starting to love it. I can actually separately detect all the notes in this one. The others in this line are ok but I am actually starting to love this one especially.

At the current market price this is a no brainer. Tonka+Violet+Orgages+ slight hint of leather makes for a great fragrance. This sort feels like a sweeter GIT in the opening hour or so, it then becomes more dense and is joined by a slight hint of leather giving it something kin to GIT but much sweeter and a bit dirtier/animialistic of sorts. This is also a bit on the synthetic side but I like it a lot. I get decent longevity about 6 hours, good projection for the first 4 hours and the aroma is quite versatile. I paid like $25 shipped for this and there aren't many fragrances out there at this price that can compete. This would be a perfect signature scent in my opinion.

I bought this off someone on another forum as a blind buy. This was a leap of faith for me considering a lot of people compared the opening and a bit of the mid to Cool Water/Green Irish Tweed. I'm a huge fan of Green Irish Tweed and I was going to purchase it, however, I ignored my own advice of, "get what you actually want, not what's just like it". Well, with this one, it paid off. The opening is familiar, it's a fresh green scent that's reminiscent of Green Irish Tweed. However, we get to the base where things take a slightly different turn. While Green Irish Tweed relatively sweet, mossy, and green, Cereus #7 has a somewhat synthetic leather note with some transparent musky woods that adds into the mix. It's almost as if it's an "updated" Green Irish Tweed that's slightly less natural smelling and about a notch more transparent. It sort of gives it an interesting edge where synthetic notes are done right. So, this is my current "go to" signature fragrance from this point on. It just works anywhere and any time. However, for the price I got for this bottle in the classifieds, it was worth it. Is it worth it at the $125 plus tax from your local niche retailer? Not really. Especially if you're looking for a Green Irish Tweed replacement. You might as well dish out the extra money for the originator. However, it does a solid job of refreshing a 2 1/2 decade old composition. If I had to buy either one at the same price for the same amount of juice, I'd still choose Green Irish Tweed due to the fact that it provides a slightly thicker cloud of scent around you.

I so badly wanted to like this, but there's something about it that smells like body spray on my skin. Athletic body spray. The most luxurious athletic body spray ever, but body spray nonetheless. It's probably the synthetic cedar and musk combined with the fresh citrus that does this. My skin amplifies the parts of cedar that smells synthetic, I've found, and strong citrus notes never really excite me (although I love the photorealistic lemon note in Voyage d'Hermes).

Not what I was expecting. I fell for the GIT comparisons. This is simply a spicy scent. It starts off spicy and ends spicy. It is difficult to pick up the citrus, leather or tonka because it is drowning in the spice. Gives me a headache and gets the allergies going. If you don't mind spicy scents, you will probably like this one though. Longevity and sillage are moderate. What does it smell like? Oranges, cedar and leather with pepper shaken all over them.

You know those guys at nightclubs who walk past and make you gag because they're bathed in obnoxious stinky cologne? The ones that have their collared shirt open one too many buttons so their greasy chest hair shows, and wear it with dad jeans and slip on loafers with no socks? Yeah, they wear this.

This stuff is incredibly weak. This was from one of those testers from eBay for about $20. Maybe it was left out in the light too long or something. It's weaker than most of the soaps that I have.

I like the idea here, which seems to have been combining a Green Irish Tweed type scent with a "modern" leathery one. You either like it or you don't but there's nothing "wrong" with this scent. It's nicely balanced, has good longevity, etc., and doesn't have an obviously "synthetic" quality. For me there is just enough dynamism to keep things interesting for quite a while, and so long as you don't mind smelling of leather this has versatility. It's not as musky as GIT and not sweet. The powdery quality is not "old lady" nor heavy. There is no animalic element other than the leather (if you consider that animalic), and if you dislike strong tonka (as I do), that is not an issue here. If you like GIT but want a little extra something, and also don't mind leather notes, this is certainly worth sampling. You might also want to compare this one to Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir. While I like Eau Sauvage, I don't think the added leather note works well in that one. Here, however, it is just right, that is, as a "fresh leather" idea in a "masculine" scent. Also, note that this is not a spicy scent. Those who make that claim are likely mistaking the strong violet leaf type note for one spice or another. Moreover, the claim about a bleach smell apparently refers to the leather type note used here. I've smelled it in other scents, including Cumming the Fragrance, so if you don't like it, this may not be for you, but I've found that it's easy to get used to, and then it comes across more like leather.

I keep dabbing this Cereus sample on my arm because it's not very noticeable. First thing I smell is a very watery almond or diluted ameretto. It's a bit plastic'y and sweet. I assume the plastic note is from leather and almond is actually tonka bean. It is not a bad smell but I am not very fond of it either. It doesn't take long for fresh citrus note to show up, but it doesn't really blend in. It's like this watery plastic almond takes the lead and always fellowed by this rich citrus and vice versa. Half an hour has passed, and I just begin to smell a very faint powdery orange and cedar. They are weak, I am not 100% sure what I smell really. What about jasmine? It's here somewhere. I just can't find it. Well, I guess this is a different take on Woody Floral Musk. To me, it's more like a Fruity Woody Musk than anything else. I just wish it were stronger (or I had more juice to soak myself in), so that I could really smell it. As for this test result, I am not convinced, but it have a potential to be a very captivating fragrance.

Right off the bat I get the citric Tonka combo with the orange coming on a bit stronger and the Tonka going away. I smell the powder mixing in after a few minutes and now a little bit of salty vibe is showing up underneath. Now it seems to have lost all its life and turned into a weak, flat citrus. Overall, I would save my money for a better salty, citrus scent.

Smells EXACTLY like Dunhill For Men. Dunhill came out in 2003 & this in 2007 , I gues we know just who ripped of who here. Other than that it's A great fragrance, except you can buy Dunhill for half the price. One other thing............. This smells Nothing Like Green Irish Tweed!!!

Damn, I'm assuming this brand went out of business. Their last fragrance was made in 2011 and that was 14 years ago lol. I remember when I started watching fragrance reviews in 2012. I saw Frunkinator an ex YouTube reviewer hyping this up back in those days.

The opening smells like dirty oranges. That's what I got, oranges mix with something not sure what it is.
