1881 Acqua Forte

I have a few CERRUTI fragrances and zero disappointments. This is lovely in spring and summer and like Robbie X,I enjoy a solid performance from it. Back when I used to wear 1 frag a week, I knew I had to stock up in just 3 day of wearing it. I'm glad it performs well on my skin, I also get complimented a lot wearing this, I love it!

I've got it for 25 € for a 125ml bottle, which is damn cheap. It starts off very citric but shortly transforms to a rich, warm and masculine aquatic scent. Never liked the original 1881 but this is awesome. Instant classic.

The perfumer is Olivier Cresp - which makes it an instant must try for me!

I picked this up last year and was very impressed given the price. (30 USD for 2.5Oz) A long lasting fresh semi-aquatic fragrance that rivals Eau Sauvage's composition ( to my nose ). The performance of this is pretty remarkable on my skin, giving a consistent 5-7 hours with 6 sprays. (and it is currently winter temps where I live.) Projection is arms length, and unsure abut the scent trail. Nothing cloying, sour, or scratchy and nicely balanced.

An extremely fresh green citrus. The cascalone note makes it really uplifting, ozonic and zingy. Longevity and sillage are very good and in the dry down it remains light and fresh - the colour of the liquid really matches the smell. This fragrance is a good summer holiday scent and is similar to Eau Fresh by Bogart and Nickel's Eau maximum. It's a nice citrus.

Like it or not, the original 1881 is a silage monster and because of that I was expecting similar projection from this but ultimately felt that I had been short changed. The fragrance itself is a pleasing warm citrus green with enough wood to keep it alive. But disappointing on both projection and longevity. More of a skin scent on me.

Gorgeous fresh scent that unfortunately doesn't last long, a couple hours for me tops. I'd class this as a cologne, a "freshen up". It has to be applied liberally to be noticed and for that reason would not recommend purchasing unless on offer (it IS a beautiful fragrance thou!) Thumbs up

I really like the smell of this one. It has a fresh yuzu note that I really like. Just a pity that the sillage/projection isn't great for me and the longevity is around 2-3 hours. I do really like the scent of this one though and also like another 1881 flanker, Bella Notte.

This is actually nice fragrance BUT pity in my place where its humid and hot, the scent is barely detectable after 1 hour.

Currently for sale in "savers" shops UK For £14.99!! Having read the description and review here, i think ill get it as a summer fresh scent. Yes, i wear mens colognes in the summer!

Diffidently wanna try it out , dry down sounds grate & expensive as well , beside i don't own any Cerruti !

Minty, green, coriander and citrus thing. Nothing special. Longevity's is very poor.
