Green, fresh, and very uncommon. William's pear, banana leaf, fig leaf, jasmine are more dominant than other notes to my nose. Banana leaf is an rare note that makes this perfume unique. Not too sweet (acceptable to sweet-hater like me), non-bitter. During the drydown it'd be some woodier and muskier, and more powdery (esp. on clothes). Powerful projection and sillage. Shines only in moderate temperatures, i.e. spring and fall, between 10 and 30 Celsius. Too cloying in summer and distorted in winter (in East Asia). Not for over spraying. Proper amount gets me the freshest feeling: an imagination of bathing in breeze after a soothing shower, as one of my friends described. Likely due to its body wash vibes that render connections to a nice bath or a wallpaper with elegant green foliage. Oh right, it may attract bees.

I started using it when young. I blind bought (they had no tester) several bottles in a mall because of its high discount. I could not have done better, because it was a great discovery. It's absolutely delicious, I can't think of another way to describe it right now. It's like a perfect floral-fruity-oriental mix with a sweet touch (very natural and exquisite, nothing cloying) I don't know if cinnamon or what, but the formula is intoxicating. A perfume extraordinarily well balanced, very very rich, very natural in what I remember and, also, at a very good price. Really delicious. Versatility: All year round, given its somewhat cooler opening but its slightly warm dry down. Very versatile indeed. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 7/10 Duration: 6/10

Never had a chance to experience this fragrance before it got discontinued. But I'm soo glad that it is back. I soon as I heard about it's return - went straight away and put in a order, without giving it a second thought. It actually smells fresh & watery, something that not many brands seem to be able to pull off. Powdery, but not make up or baby talcum powdery, watery but not some weird stale pond scent. No weird vomit inducing badly done floral note. Not only is it blind buy worthy, but also an amazing cheapie, the hype was real with this one. (That being said, not everyone may like this one, but for going price of 19.00$ nothing to lose) Someone please tell me, why is it soo good 🤩

A great classic of the 90’s. This beautiful summer fragrance was an upbeat fragrance with an energetic top note thanks to banana leaves from Costa Rica, Williams pear and black pepper. The sparkling heart note of Atlantic cypress, fig leaf and tender jasmine arouses strong emotions. The background consists of Haitian vetiver, musk and amber. A perfume that brings me very far back in the university days and that evokes me beautiful memories. Unfortunately it is now discontinued and the last one I bought on eBay was only a shadow of what it was formerly. This fragrance is one of the legendary scents of my youth that I miss and that I would like to find available.

Opens with an abstract of soft fruity fuzziness - not real fruit, only an impression. It’s sweet like the pith of a pear, an evanescent sweetness rather than the more-common syrupy thickness that many modern perfumes. There’s greenery mixed into the opening too- it’s a pale green at that, adding to the delightful softness. Then comes a gradual transition to piney woods. What a stroke of magic! I never would guess this would emerge from that opening. Soft cypress and cedar that lingers a while- nothing loud, but persistent. The quality is ok, a little on the cheaper side, but no matter. For a cheapie, Image is a unique and lovable fragrance.

This one is a pure gem. Fresh, light (but not to airy), yet masculine (in retro way). Bright and quite unique. Perfect for spring & summer (specially in sunny day). Very underrated, deserve much more attention in the scent market. The price is a joke (something about 19€/100ml in Poland). Projection & sillage are moderate (which is good I think). Bottle is very classy with funny atomizer. Consider this to blind buy? Well, You can't go wrong with this one. Specially for the price. My most complimented fragrance when I was 18. Very disappointed when it was discontinued but it has been brought back. Recently purchased a 100ml for £25. Worth every penny. All memories came flooding back. This used to have beast mode performance when I first started wearing it and it is weaker now. Does still have very good lasting power on clothes so still has decent performance. If you're a fan of this do not delay as it's still a very nice fragrance and if you have olfactory memories attached to it like I have, then even more reason to get yourself a bottle.

Very fruity fragrance yet woody , sweet yet strong woody smell of pear, banana leaf and cypress background . It is a very good smell of spring and summer different than others . It's like a Acqua di Gio fruity , sweet and soft. It has a very modest sillage ( the bad of this perfume) but its duration is good . When dried reminds me of the smell of chamomile infusion . Despite being soft and sweet, it is quite masculine. Sillage 5/10 , duración7 / 10. Global 7/10 . ( The good thing about this perfume is that it is uncommon among people )

Its just everything you want from a fresh scent! Its lasts for me on clothes for days but on skin its quite weak actually. I first had this in early 2000's and all the memories came back now as I bought the new release. its not as strong as before, but Im ok with it. It has some unspoken optimism in this fragrance that I cannot describe. Its just represents the best for me the era of late 90's and early 2000's with all those summer vibes and easiness before 9/11 happened ... I hope they never discontinue this again!!

I was very randomly given a bottle of this for Christmas, as i've not worn it since the late 90s. It is exactly as I remember it, very fresh and bright opening. I have to be honest having read some of the other reviews I have to completely disagree with this fragrance being called 'spicy' for me nothing could be further from the truth, it is ultra fruity. Very Fresh, I get a note of grapefruit. I look forward to the Summer when i get out of the shower and use it, not remarkable but very nice.

I didnt expect this to smell so good considering its low price. But this is a masterpiece. its green and woody with lots of tart powdery fruitiness laying on top. Very unique and dosent smell like anything else in my collection. Also, although it was released in 1998 it dosent smell particulary dated. You can safely wear this today without being told you smell like a old man. Cause this stuff is just timeless. Its a instant love from me

I have been using Cerruti Image ever since it was introduced. I find it to be a very light and fresh fragrance. It is a very nice summer scent and very safe for the office. It lasts longer on clothes than on the skin. The pear, banana leaf and plumb give this fragrance a very fruity feel at first. Then it blends with the jasmine and musk and wow. The bottle is beautiful and the price even better.

Oh this is really a wonderful scent. I had low expectations of this. But I'm so surprised. It's very woody and full of character in its opening. But the scent has lasted a while and I'm wearing it while working out. Fresh and clean but so much depth. I'm surprised how cheap this is as the price does it a disservice Bottle is also superb with that unique design. Sprayer was quite generous.

Cerruti Image is an incredible fragrance. I forgot just good this was! An intoxication of green mixed with slight florals, figs and berries, gives this just the perfect amount of freshness and sweetness. Getting a backup bottle asap. Very safe office scent or anytime scent. Get this! Longevity on me is about 7 hours with moderate sillage. Definitely worth the price!!!

Image is a very nice clean out of the shower type scent! It is crisp & beautiful for spring /summer days right after a shower! Had a change of heart, longevity is about 8 hours, altho it does seem to become faint the longer it is on your skin, but it is still there! & yes spray on alot! You wont overdue it!

This is my second bottle, it's those kind of fragrances that it's sweet but fresh, it's funny 'cause I never thought that pear was this fresh, plum it's helping to get the coolest in this smell, something that you wear proudly. Thumb up on this one, get it before they discontinue it.

This scent is for those that really love soapy scents. Image is a delicious soapy fragrance, elegant, linear, simple and relaxing. Not overpowering and not sweet. Longevity is ok, sillage isn't huge. Gives the idea of a man that has just taken a shower with a very special soap.

A delicious and long lasting fragrance. A tarragon/pear start, and a lovely fresh soapy drydown. This is SO likeable. Longevity and silage are good. One of Cerutti's best in my opinion and, one of the nicest fruity perfumes I've ever tried.

It's very fresh and gentle! Perfect for hot days during the summer. I think it's quite long lasting +7h on my skin BUT after 1-2 hours projection is VERY soft, so maybe this is the reason why loads of people don't like Cerruti Image.

The juice itself is fantastic! Fruity fresh woody, has a little kenzo pour homme vibe. But the bottle design. Unreal.the person who designed the bottle needs a pay rise. Best one ive ever seen fact Juice 9/10 Bottle 10/10

I had this back in 2000 and reminded me of hitting the town with old friends. Forgot about it then Christmas 2008 was in TK Maxx and found a big bottle for £20, couldnt say no to it! Fond memories of this one!

It seems to be an under-rated juice. Refreshing cologne doesn't have to be limited to those with citrus / sea notes. Cerruti Image is a good example, Pear Banana leaf & Plum are actually cool and relaxing

Cerruti Image... A summer fragrance - but, before you know it, (this) "summer" (fragrance) is over... Yesterday, I wore and wrote a review on Image's younger sibling, Cerruti Pour Homme. Today, Image was next in my rotation of "fragrance of the day"... Image is a very pleasant scent that is fresh, clean, and a blend of fruit and floral notes. Image is easy on the nose and offers great day and Summer flexibility/versatility without being overbearing or offensive to some. It is that "fresh showered" scent that is safe for the office... I will add that given the fruity and floral notes, while masculine, this fragrance could easily be worn (and worn with confidence) by females. Now the rest of the story... Image projects well during the first hour and then settles close to the skin. With my "body chemistry", following four hours of wear in an office-type setting, the fragrance/scent is hardly noticeable. Pity - out of the bottle it is a good fragrance. While no compliments have been received, I will add that during that first hour of wear, the "Wow Factor" could appear. This fragrance is readily available on line at moderate pricing. The bottling and packaging are first class with the nozzle adding a great touch of character to the fragrance. (kudos on the nozzle). A final tally of Image is 3.8 stars out of 5 stars. If the longevity and projection/sillage were greater, a much higher evaluation would be warranted. For the collector, someone like me who is borderline OCD (ok - yes, I am OCD about certain things), add Image to your collection. The "price is right" and I love the scent and nozzle. For the person seeking a quality summer fragrance, maybe pass - there are more fragrances out there that last longer. The daily I.M. - "Dream BIG and Dream OFTEN - you may not capture all your dreams, but be glad/happy that you had/have dreams.."

I've always been a huge fan of 1881 from Cerruti, A fragrance which signifies a bygone era of 80's and 90's fragrances that have stood the test of time. Odd then that this one should pass me by, sure I was aware of it and I don't doubt I may have even tried it over the course of the last 17 years. The fact that I can't remember doesn't usually speak to the quality of a fragrance but worth an up to date review I thought. Now, every bargain bucket in the land carries this fragrance at the moment it would seem so you can pick it up for next to nothing...and is it worth it? Absolutely! I'd describe this as a vague take on an aromatic Fougere type fragrance despite the description here. I think it's a very two dimensional scent in that it has top notes of fruity pear/apple then something which to me resembles a gentle accord of lavender/vanilla and musk.(hence my Fougere description.) Now lavender and vanilla are not in the note breakdown and I suspect it's the creamy sandalwood/white musk combo which is giving that effect. When I say 'vanilla' it's not typically sweet but slightly herbal, I don't know what banana leaves smell like? They could be a factor here as this is very very slightly reminiscent of Amouage Reflection which on occasion has a faint banana smell to it. Generally Image is soapy fresh...a pleasant thing but somehow indistinct and wishy washy. Lasts very well indeed for such a slight fragrance I got several hours out of it and silage is very soft after the first hour. Image is decidedly bland and generic then but not in the way many modern fragrances are, awful synthetics, aquatic accords or 'phoned in' chemical warmth. Image ain't bad...but no matter how cheap it is, I'm going to be more selective.

I bought this one unsmelled as there were no testers. It is not very common here in Australia, and so when I saw it on sale I bought it. On paper the notes seem very interesting (especially the base notes). Vetiver, patchouli,cedar and sandalwood are commonly recurring notes in my favourite fragrances and they are all listed as ingredients. From reviews I read I could see that this one might be a bit of a risky proposition: mainly in terms of its strength and longevity. What swayed me to buy it was the bottle: it is a work of art. The lever dispenses the fluid really well. The fluid itself is crisp and green and opens with mint, pepper and fruit notes. They are all so subtle that it is hard to pick out too many individual notes. This is sharper than the majority of fresh fragrances I have experienced, yet at the same time manages to be relatively unobtrusive. I read a reviewer somewhere say words to the effect that it is impossible to overapply this fragrance. This is pretty much true. The woody notes like the other notes are subtle and never really exert their own individual characters, but work quietly in the background. After half an hour or so, there is a similarity with Bulgai pour Homme: it is one of those fragrances that are almost not there, but which still exert enough character for other people to detect them on you. I much prefer this one to Bulgari. Longevity is an issue for me: It lasts for less than 3 hours. This is an interesting addition to my collection and definitely has a unique place. I just need to make sure I have it handy to re-apply. Often. The sprayer mechanism is too much fun. You know what they say small things amuse small minds.

EDT: The opening is a bright and clean citrus to me, so imagine my surprise when I looked at the list of notes and finding fruits instead. Though I did think it was a more pleasing citrus than many other ones, so perhaps it is because the fruit notes sweetened the otherwise abrasiveness of actual citrus. It then calms into a mellow woody fragrance with sweet undertones. Sometimes Guaiac notes sticks out too much for me when used in fragrances, but here, it blends in just fine. All the while, there is that aroma that is ever present in men's perfume...I'm guessing it's the musk. For such a "light" fragrance, it lasts a bit longer than I would expect....it's been on my arm for a few hours so far...but it's late and I really need to go to sleep. As a woman, I generally do not like these type of clean and fresh scents for myself, but this one I would find reasonably attractive on a man. It is not an adventurous option, but a safe one. The lever on the cap does tend to break off if you mess with it like I did.

Sprayed this on my skin and knew I had made a huge mistake. The powdery note in this was overwhelming. Made me nauseous, had to scrub the scent off my skin. Avoided the bottle for a couple weeks. Built up the courage and sprayed it on again ... that powdery note was still there but not as upfront as before. The fresh, clean scent came out more. Wow I like what I'm smelling, what happened that first time? Left the bottle alone for another few weeks and came back to it. Sprayed it on my t-shirt this time instead of directly on skin. Hmmm that powdery note is barely there, just fresh, clean, greenery with almost a fresh washed linen smell. This stuff smells great now. Wore it out today in 90+ degree weather while going to wash the car. Built up a good sweat and mixed with this fragrance. Came home and the wife smelled me - walked by and smelled me some more - gave me THAT look. Think I've found my new summer fragrance. :)

Crisp, bright, green, fruity, slightly sweet and transparent. It starts with pear, mint, pepper and some green notes. Then floral and fruity notes take over the construction. Base notes are made of light sandalwood, vetiver and musk. It's incredibly nice and inoffensive. It works for me as a perfect office and spring time scent. I think it is more refined alternative to the popular mainstream aquatic/woody crowd. It attracts girls' attention due to light, clean, refined and kind of laidback (nomen omen) image it creates. Longevity is good (6-8 h) and silage is low. The only downturn is that it sometimes gives me a migraine. Can be acquired at very low price. 7/10

2002: I have a brand new bottle from 2002, so please note they may have done changes to the smell and this has also aged a bit (in a good way). Very lovely scent of wood. A perfect manly scent that is fresh. This is a green / blue perfume with strong wood aromas. It smells like 1990'ies mainly because it is from this era. So this is how your dad used to smell if he was modern back when he was cool. This can work as an office perfume if you are in your 30'ies. Would I recommend? Yes Value for money: Very good! Score: 4.5/6.

I found Cerruti Image as one of those scents perfect for work setting: clean and fresh with a quiet projection. On my skin, it didn’t last as long, but I had no problems reapplying mid-day as the scent is inoffensive. The scent is a little fruity and a little sweet, but manly. The lever sprayer is a nice feature – adds character to the bottle. Cerruti Image is a very good fragrance if you are looking for a safe scent for warmer season.

One of the first colognes I bought in 2000. I liked it, and thought it was unique. It was summertime and it fit me well. Woody and Fruity but blended so well, it just works. That said, by today's standards it's probably now a bit bland, but at the time it was less so. My ex girlfriend loved it on me. Very versatile as smells fresh.

Another bottle I’ve had for roughly 25 years or so and this one is still pretty full. I likely bought it mainly due to the cool bottle presentation. Not bad but not great. May get around to selling or trading it for something I may appreciate more since tastes have changed, but may revisit again before I decide for sure.

This fragrance is magnificent, beautiful. Fruity and fresh, I love it... But, pity, its longevity is ridiculous, 4h hours after, you have to renew it :( EDIT : I retry it for the second time. Indeed, if you pschit it loudly or on clothes, it has a pretty honest longevity ! (fortunatly, it costs very cheap ^^')

Remember the Meaow Mix commercial??? Apply that tune: Bland, bland, Bland, bland, Bland, Bland, bland, Bland, get my drift? Don't get me wrong, I do not dislike it, just too bland, but that can be good, perfect for the office, if you must commute in a crowded intercity bus o metro, for a job interview, etc.

The scent is fresh woody and very natural. It opens up with like fresh green fruity then dry down is Soapy Musky and Woody. The art of bottle design is very beautiful. This perfume is perfect for the spring and summer. I like Image Cerruti for Men. Rating : 8 / 10

A nice sweet pear and banana leaf scent with a green and woody background. Very mellow, inoffensive, impossible to overspray. For the price, it is a nice cheapie, but overall not very interesting. Some could describe the overall profile as dated.

I like the fragrance when I put my nose on the bottle but on my body it becomes absolutely unnoticeable. I've heard others use the term "invisible" for fragrances and that is what it is for me. I honestly wish it wasn't because it smells nice.

I like this a lot fresh, sweet, woody and soapy (Soapy drydown in a very good way) really like the pear and floral notes in it great for spring/summer longevity and projection are great 7+ hours. To summit up its a very versatile perfume.

I got it today. It's super safe smell but nothing groundbreaking. Easy wearable by females. Pear, freshness, a little woody and soap. I don't get the plum or the pepper. Mostly a skin scent but it deserves the like emoji
