Caprice de Julie

smells a little like strawberry to me...with something slightly minty in the drydown. No ambroxan... hurrah! It's quite soft but remains as a slightly projecting skin scent for a v long time. Pretty. Probably the prettiest from the caprice range. Sophie is a more obvious and slightly tropical floral, Marie blueberry and patchouli and Jeanne I couldn't get on with because of the ambroxan (sorry). I haven't worn in warmer weather but imagine this would be just the right balance of pretty floral fruity and refreshing...not cloying and not just a summer citrus...think summer wedding guest :).

This is so slept on!! This is quite unique and even though it doesn’t state it , I get a hint of a warm milk in the background and maybe some slight birthday cake batter. I get pear and fruit with some vanilla and that warm milk note/ cake I detect. Not a blind buy but definately a sweet/gourmand lovers fragrance even though its not considered so .

CdJ opens with this fleeting sigh of fruit, so indistinct at first—like the synthetically sweet scent of shampoo lingering in damp hair. But slowly, the fragrance ripens on skin, unfurling into the freshest blackberries, dark and glistening, still kissed by morning dew. Not the candied kind, nor the dense syrup of preserves—these are plucked straight from the bramble, their sweetness laced with a delicate, almost aqueous clarity. Creamy sandalwood hums beneath, smoothing the edges, lending a quiet, lactonic warmth. It doesn’t smother, doesn’t overtake—just lingers, soft as a whisper, as the berries fade into the air.

The person who decided to choose Blueberries to describe this scent- I wonder has that person ever smelled a real blueberry? (which is a heather family and not a bramble, and has a very particular smell) This is a clear raspberry and -ok, a blackberry on the opening, but definitely not a blueberry. The watermelon is not super photorealistic and much more artificial than I expected - it`s as if you bought a watermelon scented hand cream- and this powdery whiff is also very "hand creamy". Overall, a pleasant, happy fruit+powder scent, pretty much raspberry and watermelon hand cream. Nothing wrong with that.

The watermelon note makes this something special. Safe blind buy for fruity lovers or any young woman in your life.

I get pear, berries and hairspray, but really nice :)

FIRST IMPRESSION: first thought in my head - wow this smells like 'one umbrella for two', that blueberry note is unmistakable and very dominant. second thought was, huh actually this gives strong victoria's secret perfumes vibes, which is a very cheap association. like OUFT this is also very cloying type of scent to me, i cant imagine sniffing it constantly for several hours. since i get the VS vibe, i also perceive it as a more feminine leaning (at least more that OUFT). it is fruity, syrupy sweet perfume, kinda one dimensional and a little heavy. i wouldnt say it is an artificial smell, but it is definitely overly sweet for the type of smell it is, making it a little nauseating. FEW HOURS LATER... so a OUFT clone, which also has that note in the center that is very nauseating to me, smelling almost edible but not quite, giving only the cloying without being tasty. its lesser quality that OUFT hence im getting the VS connotation. longevity is high so it stays there for several hour, very much present, you dont get noseblind to it (unfortunately). 38/100

I loved the berry notes you get at the top, but that fades pretty quickly. The end result is this flat, very artificial smell that I can't quite put my finger on. Actually, whoever said it smelled like hair spray is spot on.

For a few seconds it’s a wee bit like a scented nail polish remover. Luckily the chemical scent quickly fades and a fruity scent emerges: juicy berries and some vague florals. It’s fresh, juicy and juvenile.

Tried this from the Chabaud discovery kit. Caprice de Julie is a total fruit bomb. It’s sweet, airy, and feels very youthful. Yes, it’s synthetic, but in a nostalgic, fun, almost candy-like way.

This reminds me of a diluted blend of Gentle Fluidity Gold with a hint of Cockatiel. It's sweeter and fruitier, without being overwhelming, and has a soapy, oily juniper/berry/botanical note with a subtle musky vanilla background. Overall, it's quite simple and has a low projection, making it unobtrusive. While it's the most pleasant Chabaud scent I've sampled so far, that's not saying much as it's still rather unimpressive. After a few hours, it leaves a faint, soft, powdery musk that's just okay. Pleasant enough, but not remarkable. Moving on.

This fragrance is so fruity and delicious, it’s literally enhancing the taste of the lemonade I’m drinking while wearing it. It’s that bright, juicy, and mouthwatering. I’m four hours in, and it still smells incredible. It's soft, sweet, and sparkling off my skin. I'm absolutely in love.

I really like this perfume, I especially notice the blackberry note that I love ! This is very fruity, a little fresh, sweet but not too sweet, very pleasant !
