Ah, my Allure. 🍑 Outside of my love and experience for Allure Homme, I first bought a 90s splash bottle of Allure, probably almost two years ago now. It had about 40% left and I think it wasn’t stored well. The top notes were awful, it smelled like a weird floral/alcoholic/vintage mess until it dried to the lovely vanilla/woody/amber base. But it also was fleeting, so I kinda wrote off the EDT. Moved onto a spray of the EDP, where I then understood and fell in love with Allure. It’s that luxurious peach that’s in there. Mmmm. I also fell head over heels with Allure Sensuelle, but am taking a break from that as it sometimes pierces/burns my nostrils but I still love its resinous/spicy/peachy/vanilla indulgence. Anywho, I found a 97% full 100 ml bottle for an incredible price online that I was kinda scared was a fake. I have to say, I am absolutely impressed. Obviously the EDP is more dense, with the peach being more pronounced (which I like). But this is so well composed, and honestly the sillage and longevity on this is impressive. It’s not a room filler or “beast mode” fragrance, but you will get whiffs of it and it will last for hours. I’m on my second day of testing it and it has been a fantastic performer. Really impressed as my batch code dates it to 2018. Also, in terms of scent profile, it has a very soft presence. I don’t find it...shy? But it doesn’t force itself, I guess I don’t have the right words for it. It’s all the notes combined that gives me this feeling, especially the florals and vanilla. This is a case where I really like white florals, they can be quite challenging for me. Here, they are wonderful. I’m glad I gave the EDT another chance, I’m going to keep this around until the day I get sick of it which I hope never comes. 🥀 Update 04/11 - I love it so very much, along with the EDP and Allure Sensuelle and Allure Homme. I find the honeysuckle more pronounced as I wear it, and the ambery base comes through a bit more. It still has that beloved luxurious peach. And again, sillage is more than decent and it lasts for several hours. Still impressed 😊 Another update 06/07 - This has jumped from a love to a “can’t live without it.” I tracked down an old discontinued travel spray that has 1 lightly used 15ml bottle, and two unused refills. Along with a used/older 100 ml bottle and used/older 50 ml bottle. Although I love my newer bottle, these older formulations are...excuse me...orgasmic. So resinous, amber/vanilla, peachy, honeysuckle...damn. This is divine. Also, really good sillage and lasting power. Really makes me want a cold peach brandy cocktail while wearing all an all white outfit and wearing gold jewelry on a sultry 80 degree day at around 6:30 pm, haha. My newer bottle is more sparkly/effervescent, but it’s still Allure. Damn to reformulations, but love to Chanel for not re-formulating to something unrecognizable.

(Sorry for the long post- I promise this is about the EDT).I have worn Allure EDP on and off for years. My first experience of Allure EDT was in the 90s, when a Mother who was part of our carpool group would drive my 7 year-old self to and from school; she was always so beautifully put together and wore Allure EDT, and I still remember how lovely she smelled. Then, in my teenage years, I would sneak into my Mother's bathroom vanity to mist myself with her Allure EDP or Coco EDP-considering them the most beautiful and womanly fragrances I'd ever come across, and I have always looked forward to getting Allure EDP as a Christmas or birthday gift (December & June). Anyways, I decided I wanted to change up my signature scent from Coco Mademoiselle Intense exclusively to the lovely Allure EDP, only to discover my local department store was out of the EDP and only had Allure EDT! Well, what an unexpected treat!! Actually, Allure EDT is a BEAUTY AND A BEAST in its overall makeup, longevity, and sillage. There is great depth and complexity to the fragrance, with each gorgeous facet gently revealing itself overal several, several hours. The scent cloud of Allure EDT doesn't overwhelm, but it WILL CERTAINLY get you noticed in a positive way (without choking others out); Allure EDT knows her place and is confident you will notice her- being pulled in like a magnet through her undeniable attraction inducing notes. Allure EDT preforms better than most EDPs I have owned.She instantly makes me feel like I have my life together as she creates a scent trail of elegance, sophistication, and radiance- exuding from the inside, out on the wearer. I am 34, and I would/do recommend this gorgeous masterpiece of Allure EDT to anyone/age wanting a beautifully refined fragrance, as she will create an aura of poise, intrigue, and lovely feminine enchantment (although it could easily be worn by all genders). I have several precious memories tied to this fragrance, and can honestly say she's a great date fragrance- as men love it on me and have actually told me they find me "alluring" whilst wearing Allure; she draws compliments from coworkers to strangers, day or night, and in any setting. A great value IMO for the money and excellent performance from an EDT. Love the EDP as well, but I find the orginal EDT just breathtaking and I am enjoying wearing Allure EDT as the weather warms up due to her lovely freshness. Allure EDT is like sipping on a crisp, chilled glass of champagne whilst getting gentle whiffs of a honeysuckle bush on the grounds of a beautiful, stately, and "old money" estate that is hosting a first class event or reception.Day or night, Allure EDT & EDP exudes class, beauty, and sophistication.

I managed to get my hands on a used, partially full bottle of Allure and I am in heaven!! When it first arrived, my nose must have been very tired. I had been trying several decants of various fragrances, so after clearing out the atomizer and giving myself a healthy spritz, I thought "What the heck IS this??" I could barely smell anything, and what I did smell was a musty version of something I remembered once loving. Undaunted, I allowed the bottle to sit for about a week. When I tried again, it all came flooding back - the Allure I had fallen in love with back in the 90s, but never purchased. This is so deep and rich that it's difficult for me to wrap my head around the fact that this is an EDT! I have no idea how newer versions of the EDT work, butI do have modern EDP, and this vintage blows it away, both performance and scent-wise. The notes that stood out to me in the past were the peach, the somewhat indolic jasmine, and the most glorious vanilla - check, check, and check with my bottle. Of course, my nose is (somewhat) more refined than it was 25 years ago, so I'm able to pick up on other notes as well, especially the honeysuckle, magnolia, passionfruit, and delicate sandalwood. There IS something slightly "pissy" in the middle notes that I am going to attribute to the vetiver. I do not get ANY citrus at all, perhaps due to age, but I don't miss it. This is so cozy and sensual and I can't say enough good things about this most under appreciated offering from Chanel. I am trying to find my bottle of EDP to do a side by side comparison - my sweet husband thought he would do me the favor of "organizing" my perfume collection for me when I was in quarantine and I have a hard time finding things from time to time! He meant well! ;). But I already know how different they are just by memory alone. Anyway - to make a long story short, I am madly in love withthis glorious creation from back in time when things like silage and longevity were not issues for Chanel. I am going to need to find more bottles of the vintage, because I know I will get through what I have sooner rather than later and I never want to be without it again.

Allure EDT is more of a summer perfume unlike the original EDP. This is something to wear on vacation during the hotter months of the year or even as an everyday summer signature. Very crisp and precise lemon, passionfruit, mandarin, bergamot, peach and what smells like high quality neroli to my nose. The florals come in after about 10 minutes and for me the honeysuckle and magnolia dominate the floral heart. The magnolia in here is very true to nature and if you are a magnolia lover look no further. The base notes and vanilla are less pronounced in the EDT than in the EDP. This is a true warm weather citrus floral where the EDP can be worn more year-round. I personally prefer the EDP but if you are looking for a long wearing, lovely citrus floral that lasts (something that is hard to find because citrus perfumes tend to fade fast) give Allure EDT a try. I think it is worth the price point for the longevity you will get. Clean, crisp, precise, ladylike and on point. Classy. Edit I didn't think I was going to buy something from this line but my husband loves all of them. Chanel's over cleanliness comes across a bit uptight to me but I will be wearing all of these in the next few days to see which one I will settle on to buy. Edit: 1/7/23 I thought I was going to buy the Allure Sensual flanker, but I have soooo many patchouli dominate fragrances and while I like/love patchouli a lot I need to add things to my collection that fill a need and Allure EDT fills a need. I have Love Anne which is the budget version of Allure EDT. It is nice but I might gift that to someone who likes perfume but doesn't LOVE it like a collector. This reminds me of Love Anne but an amped up version, a better crafted version. I keep smelling this and it keeps winning me over. My husband would rather I buy another patchouli and while the Sensual is really good I need Allure EDT in my collection. A brilliant, classy, beautiful summer floral. Just upgraded this to a love. If you want a citrus and floral garden to die for pick this beauty up.

This is one of my very favourite perfumes. It's sexy and sensual and suits any occasion you want to feel beautiful, day or night- fall, winter, spring or summer. The multiple facets to this perfume are indeed very alluring. People want to get closer to you to smell it. The perfume is well composed with a gorgeous mix of flowers, citrus, passion fruit, sandalwood and vanilla. It's not too sweet but also not too sharp. It's well balanced yet multifaceted and doesn't easily fit any category. I have both the EDT and the EDP, but I prefer this EDT. This one is more dynamic. There are more notes and elements here making it stand out. Some people find this sharper than the EDP. This one has less vanilla and peach and does have honeysuckle, which makes the difference for me. I also find that the EDT lasts longer than the EDP on the skin and remains dynamic over hours of wear. It could be that the amber was used as a fixative to make this gorgeous potion last. It has the perfect longevity and projection. This is the first Chanel perfume I ever purchased, after many times trying it on in airports and perfume shops. The price was expensive, so I delayed purchasing it. Once I did buy it I haven't looked back. The cost is worth it. A little goes a long way. It is sexy and alluring through every era and stands the test of time as a true classic. While I have loved other perfumes that were more part of a trend, their appeal wore off over time. I only love this more over time. It's seriously classy and there is nothing else quite like it. Thank you Chanel!

This is a very biased review as Allure EDT is my mother's perfume, so my olfactive memory only associates it with positive and comforting things. So I'm going to try and keep my review short, as I think it's a legendary perfume, Top 5 of the World, All Stars Ultimate ++++++ haha. Okay more seriously, Allure is clearly and really underrated and not promoted enough by Chanel. My nose perceives many notes but above all a sweet, powdery peach clinging to a honeysuckle above a patchlouli bush in a forest of sandalwood, to which pieces of amber have been scattered here and there. It has the Chanel DNA, but with a fruity/peachy and sweet side that is rather rare for the brand. So I find it original and few perfumes are alike. It's an inevitable ladies' fragrance (or maybe I am WAY too biased as I usually strongly think perfumes are genderless), which gives it an unrivalled chic, classy and old money vibes that carry behind the wearer everywhere she (or he) goes. As you guessed , Allure EDT has a enormous sillage, projection and longevity, and will stick to you skin and clothes for DAYS and fills an entire room. EDT is lighter and more versatile but I would stick to formal occasions or maybe business, overall it will give you a classy effect whatever the occasion or weather. Signature worthy, level 100! I regret that it is not pushed more by the brand, but on the one hand it is good, because it remains among a circle of connoisseurs.

After having finished a bottle of Allure, one of my favorites, actually maybe my favorite from Chanel (19 Poudre is a serious contender) it is time for its praising review. Official website is austere with description: mandarin, may rose and vanilla is what you will smell. Personally,what I smell, is a fizzy lemon, a soft and sweet vanilla and in the drydown a bunch of white florals with the honeysuckle and jasmine most of all. There is one metallic aftertaste to it. It categorizes as a floriental. Leans on the sweet side. Should I be repeating what others said? Yes it's classic, feminine, elegant, staple even on a female's dressing table. It will garner you compliments. Has no age, pairs with any style or clothing. I must admit though, that it did suit me better when I was blond, now as an auberginey brunette, Allure just doesn't seem to be the perfect fit. Alas, it wasn't chosen because of the hair color, but for the softly sweet smell of the fruity vanilla and the comforting warmth of the white florals. Surprisingly, despite its name, Allure, for me it didn't function as alluring, and neither did I ask for it. It worked as a self-improvement scent, helping me cope with various situations in my life, making them easier for me to handle. It did make me "feel better", "prettier", "kinder", "softer", less melancholy, less broken. Nope, I don't need another bottle yet; I strongly recommend Allure, I will always love it!

Oh Allure, where have you been all my life?! The thing is, normally I don’t like peach in perfumes and I’ve avoided Allure ever since it was first released, back in my student days; in particular, the original EDP from the 1990s was heavy on the peach-vanilla accord, which made it literally intolerable (or alluring, depending on one’s taste!) However, what happened is that, a few weeks ago, I obtained a ridiculously cheap bottle of Benetton Hot, which is supposedly a dupe to Allure; I started wearing it around and realised ‘wait, it’s not that bad at all!’ But then, I was also like ‘why am I wearing a cheap dupe when I can afford the real thing?’ - and so I headed to the nearest Sephora. They had on offer the EDP and EDT versions of Allure, so I tried them both. The EDP was as obnoxious as I remembered it from the 1990s, however the EDT seduced me with its gorgeous array of warm floral notes, especially honeysuckle and magnolia, plus Chanel’s trademark jasmine. So I left Sephora as a proud owner of the EDT. :) Many long-standing fans of Allure complain that it has been reformulated and watered down; however I have no issue with its longevity. 5-6 hours is okay for an EDT. In the past I would normally go for more concentrated versions of perfumes, however, now that I’m getting older, I find it increasingly difficult to tolerate super-concentrated scents.

This was my first adult perfume gifted to me for Christmas when I was 12. I went to Macy's and smelled several fragrances and this was the one that spoke to me. I had it for years before I finally ran out. It still is such a timeless scent to me-this started my love for warm, amber florals. When Coco Mademoiselle came out, I opted for that scent and it became my signature scent for many years. Every time I see a tester of Allure I go to it to be reminded of my first love and unfortunately most of the testers available have gone bad, as this scent doesn't get enough love and I wish Chanel knew that because I think if vendors kept their testers fresh, this scent would get more appreciation and sell better since it is such a classic, beautifully blended warm, sweet, amber floral. I recently purchased L'Instant by Guerlain and I was reminded of Allure. If I were to compare the two, I actually prefer Allure as it is a more complex, better rounded scent that has a stronger amber base to it. I've smelled the EDP of this and I prefer the original EDT version which is rare for me. I would say this fragrance presents and performs more like and EDP so I was surprised to learn that the original was actually and EDT. Anyways, I'm going to put this in my want list along with Coco Noir and Chance Eau Fraiche.

Super longlasting for an edt, fresh and clean notes, elegant, expensive. Not seductive, but appealing as hell and really easy to wear! It makes me feel glamorous and unique every time plus I can smell it on my clothes for ages.. I was yearning for a long time to get a bottle for myself, and still consider it too pricey for my budget, but it`s a keeper - and for keeps. Out of all Chanels it`s the only one I`d go for (still want to smell Cuir de Russie) and the Sensuelle version keeps me interested also. Wear it during the day you`ll stand out, wear it in a warm evening and it`ll charm anyone.. Honeysuckle and magnolia is what I get mainly with wafts of jasmine and a slightly vanillic-ambery drydown. I don`t feel the vanilla to be dominant here AT ALL, it`s magnolia-honeysuckle and a firm underlying sweetness of vanilla from the first minute till the last. But vanilla is not the main player, definitely not, same as I get no fruity notes either, a bit of wood and amber maybe, which makes the scent warm and gives your skin a bit of a `sweaty` feel. Not for winter in my opinion, the cold weather won`t bring out anything of this beauty, for winter choose CoCo or No 5. This is best worn as a weekend-away scent in the spring-summer or for everyday if you can afford it..LOVE. xx

I had been wearing Coco Mademoiselle for quite some time. The other day, I walked by a woman and the breeze blew by the sweetest obviously Chanel scent that I couldn’t quite place, but knew I was familiar with. Then it hit me - Allure. I bought this EDT blindly in 2004 just before eloping with my then husband. Almost 20 years later, I have much more appreciation for it. It’s very refined. Fresh without being too youthful. It’s polished and feminine, sweet and creamy with nothing saccharine. I can’t think of one situation it would be out of place in. It could be interpreted as sexy for date night, classy for an event, everyday with jeans and a t-shirt, timeless in a wedding dress. I’m glad fate brought me back around to this. I’ve been searching for my signature scent for some time and I think this may be it. Coco Mademoiselle is close, but not quite me. While my #1 true love is Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, it’s impractical in the price and longevity. I was buying a $200 bottle every month and spritzing constantly. Allure evokes other equally wonderful (albeit some different) feelings and lasts. 10/10 would recommend.

It will be hard to add to everything that's already been said! This is indeed a beautiful fragrance. Modern, classy, and discreet without being boring. To me, it is a complex blend of soft citrus and vanilla. It is soft without being powdery and does not have sharp edges. It lasts all day and becomes softer as the citrus dissipates and lets the vanilla, amber, and sandalwood shine. Patchouli is listed as a note but I can't detect it. It may just be very well blended and contributing to the prettiness of this scent in a discreet way. I can definitely see this becoming someone's signature fragrance. I have not purchased a bottle yet but I think I would love this for the office. And I know when "office-safe" is mentioned in a review, many people associate it with boring but this is not the case for Allure EDT. I love everything vanilla but some vanilla fragrances are simply too much for the office. I spend most of my weekdays at work so I want to have something special and classy that I love wearing and smelling without offending the people around me, and this perfume, with the discreet vanilla, is all that.

This review is for the EDT. This is a love. However, for the first hour to hour and a half, it sets off my allergies and is extremely loud in it's projection; after which it dies down to a nearly skin scent (at least on me). It reminds me of Marc Jacobs Honey at the beginning notes of honeysuckle and Michael Kors Sexy Amber with a little jasmine thrown in during the majority of the time. The dry down though is like Burberry Woman with the peach notes. Beautiful perfume; very well blended. I get no powder in this at all. I can't wear most Chanel perfumes, since the rose and aldehydes make my allergies crazy. But this one, I can wear. There is still rose; but it's a sweet rose that's not very detectable to my nose. Also, although it doesn't say it has aldehydes, I believe it does. Although not nearly as much as most of their perfumes. It's just present at the beginning and wears off rather quickly. This can be worn during any time of the day or year and with any outfit, which is saying a lot. I don't think this is a wow perfume. More of an understated elegance type.

Recently got this as a gift for my mother's birthday. I hope she will love this. This was one of my favorite women's Chanel fragrances I have ever smelt. This and the Eau de Parfum smell similar to my nose, but the EDP kinda had a minty opening to it with a more floral and white floral dry down. This starts off citrusy, floral, white floral, and a bit fresh. Dry down is more fresh and floral than the opening. It lasted a surprisingly long time on my skin when i first tried it. It lasted around 6-8 hours with a medium projection leaning feminine. This can mostly work in all seasons, best being the fall and maybe the spring since it might be a bit weak in the summer and winter. This could also work in the day and night. And at last, it is a safe blind buy? Yes, it is. If you love floral and fresh fragrances like this, then whatever woman you gift this to, they will for sure love it. In conclusion: Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 8/10 Chanel Allure EDT: 8.5/10 Edit: She loved it.

This is my beloved Allure! My signature for many years! I also own the parfum of which I equally adore. The Allure parfum to me is wonderful, yet so very different to the toillette, but of course sharing the same unique Chanel Dna. I like to wear the parfum in Autumn and Winter. It's deeper, warmer and fuller with oriental woody accords also with peach & flowers! It is richer being an Oriental Vanilla! The toilette however is slightly complex, fresher, brighter and has a carefree vibrant personality! This is suitable for Spring or Summer, I've never tried it in the cooler months. I detect the citrus and mandarines in the toillette, and certainly feel the sparkly happy honeysuckle! Magnolia and jasmine and a subtle vanilla in the dry down. The Longetivity is fare but for a toillette is exceptable! This is my 'final touch' in preparation for a positive! Productive & wonderful day! Its effervescent quality makes me feel great! Highly recommend!

What a great day - my Chanel order arrived which included Allure edt and Allure Sensuelle edt! I am normally an edp girl but occasionally an edt especially from a good brand can be better, it is rare for me though. However, both Allure Sensuelle edt and Allure edt suit my skin better. I agree with the previous poster - skin chemistry is everything with Chanel. It is really amazing. I have friends who smell lovely in the edp but on my skin the edp is just good, it doesnt blow me away- thats nothing against the perfume, it's my skin chemistry. The edt doesn't have the heaviness that seems to not settle well on me in the edp, it is difficult to describe the note and as I normally like a bit of depth to my perfumes it is unusual but the freshness the edt brings really lightens it up. The edt of Allure still has the same DNA as the edp (same story with Sensuelle) but is much lighter and fresher. Definitely prefer this to the edp for me anyway.

I chose this beautiful fragrance for my spring wedding recently. I’m a big Chanel fan - adore Mademoiselle, Coco and Coco Noir - but I wanted something different, softer but still with that Chanel feel. It came down to Allure EDP and EDT. The EDT won out because of the gorgeous aroma of sweet honeysuckle which coincidentally is in full flower around my home. I adore the initial citrus and floral scents, so fresh and the epitome of spring - and then afterwards the scents of freesia, sandalwood, and amber. I layered it with the body lotion which added a lovely powdery element to my wedding aura. I haven’t stopped wearing my wedding scent since the big day and know without a doubt Allure EDT will always remind me of that special day that I committed my heart to my darling husband. EDIT: My husband passed away in March 2021. I wear this my wedding perfume as a reminder of one of the happiest days of my life. I miss him so much.

I don’t own many Chanel fragrances because I’m not a huge fan but oh this one yes I absolutely love it soon as I smelt it I fell in love I brought it there and then. This reminds me of clean warm skin you’ve just taken a bubble bath and used your most luxurious products. your skin is still little damp and warm from your bath, you have this beautiful aroma coming from your skin of all the products you’ve used and your now putting on your lotion. This fragrance is warm clean and creamy smelling that’s why it reminds me of clean warm skin. Beautiful warm floral with some sweetness this is definitely an elegant scent I find it a tad sexy but in a very elegant way. I’ve worn this couple times and it got me so many compliments i get around 6/8hours wear I brought this in the start of spring I wore it then it’s little to heavy for summer. But now that it’s autumn I can’t wait to wear it.

It is a classic and has a soul. Very distinctive and universal. It is nearly impossible to describe, the rich and complex notes play so well together. It is feminine and confident, and it does have a sensuelle version to apply in the evening and for a date, which is also spectacular. On me the eau de toilette opens clean, woody, fresh, even minty, also spacious and as if windy. I feel honeysuckle and magnolia, both add lightness and sweetness. Maybe a distant exotic fruit like the passionfruit and peach. I also feel vetiver and vanilla. The outcome is very woody but sweet. The style is characteristic Chanel under the now sadly retired perfumeur. Very refined, timeless and unforgettable. It has a presence, it is not a scent for a person that prefers her parfums barely there. I noted that it is perfect for autumn and spring but it smells divine this winter.

The EDP was my signature in my 20s. No matter how far down the niche rabbit hole I go, Chanel frags will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. The EDT is also gorgeous- there's a fresh bergamot-vetiver opening, transcending to a may rose and honeysuckle forward floral, with a round touch of peach; drying down to a warm, but clean, amber floral in the aldehydes unique to Chanel fragrances. I would describe it as a "green amber floral" with creamy, lotion-like vibes. Complex, rich, well crafted, and well blended. Of course it is, because it's a Chanel! So pleased I made the decision to grab a decant of this so I can revisit the memories of holding my son as a fat, smiley, cherubic little infant. Now he's a bearded 24 year old man. I sure do miss that adorable, dark-eyed little baby 😌. Fragrances = memories in a bottle.

This is a truly beautiful, perfectly constructed scent. It's bright, strong and, unusually for a Chanel, very happy and light-hearted. I bought it, and the EDP, blind. Based on the reviews I thought I'd like it, that it would be a soft, everyday fragrance, maybe a little boring even. I never expected to call madly in love with it!! It's a sweet, creamy magnolia to my nose. And the longevity is crazy good for a Chanel. I get about six hours from one spray! And six hours on it's softened but I still smell it without pressing my nose to my skin. Astonishing. I can't think of a place or season it would be innapropriate. I feel happy every time I get a whiff of it. The EDP is also nice, but not near as vibrant as this. It also lasts about half the time as this sparkling and joyous EDT. Full on Love.

This is incredibly classy scent. Timeless. I heard younger generations ( I am 42) call this scent dated. Dont be fooled. Yes, olfactory experiments create unique scents that may be hot among youth now, but Allure edt is classic, inoffensive, lovely, charming. In my opinion if there was to be an all time generic parfume it should have been Allure edt. This is what a “ parfume” is. All women should have an Allure edt first in reach and then get other parfums as she pleases. The scent opens citrusy, continues with pleasant white flowers and hint of vanilla. Citrus lightens white flowers while vanilla adds warmth. These are typical parfume notes that are blended perfectly. A masterpiece of Jacques Polge. The main vibe is joy, love of life. Allure edt, I am in love with you. Strongly recommended.

Allure by Chanel was my mother's gift to me on my 13th birthday. I was thrilled and grateful that she so generously gave me such a gorgeous perfume. This was my first encounter with what has proven to be a life-long love affair with designer perfume. Allure's warm complexity was something I craved to smell. It smells...expensive and timeless. I'll never forget the way citrusy fruits danced with honeysuckle and vanilla. I've loved honeysuckle ever since. Hours after spritzing, Allure developed into layers of flowers and vanilla amber. I remember feeling saddened that I had reached the end of my bottle of Allure. I'm certain I'll include it in my repertoire again in the near future. Immediately after I emptied the beautiful rectangular flacon, I fell in love with Chance by Chanel.

Wearing Allure never fails to transport me back to by-gone summer holidays abroad. The scents of wood warmed by the sun, honeysuckle vines beneath open windows, and the smell of citrus wafting in the air. These are the notes I find in this Chanel vintage smelling classic. The smooth woody base anchors the white florals and lemon/orange notes to create a deep & slightly sweet sophistication. Amazing how a little perfume can recreate memories of carefree days in the sun. Is there any doubt why perfume is so personal & so deeply appreciated in our lives? Thank you Chanel, for not discontinuing the Allure body lotion. It wears so well with the spray to permeate cloth giving the fragrance hours of longevity. I’ve loved this fragrance for so long, I can’t imagine being without it.

After owning the vintage version (1997 bottle) and the newer formulation, I can smell a difference. The vintage I find to be a lot warmer, whereas the newer one is Kind of artificially sweet and screetchy/harsh? I enjoy both versions, but I much prefer the vintage version, and I find that I rarely reach for the reformulated version. There is something in the vintage that is so difficult to describe, it’s almost mysterious. Ever since I’ve added Chanel allure into my collection, it has been my favourite and I have only been reaching for allure. I do not even want to touch my other perfumes, and this is the first time this has happened. Allure will forever be in my collection. I have multiple vintages of the edt and a vintage pure parfum spray which I will treasure forever.

I haven't had much luck with Chanel fragrances and my body chemistry so I was delighted that this EDT smells so lovely on me and has such nice longevity. A happy accident, as they say. I've been wearing it for several days now and it is deceptively complex, so many notes coming together to create a smooth, rich intoxicating scent, and it does have that special nuance that it seems only Chanel can create. Could be worn anytime, IMO. I'm new to predominant vanilla, my only other experience being Mon Guerlain, but it is changing my mind. I prefer this over Mon G. as MG does not have the staying power or sophisticated feel of this. I have about 40 frags in my rotation (I only keep what works for me)so when I say I would buy this again, I know I am feeling something special.

To comment on the review below "white"...are you 20??? What a dumb way to describe a fragrance, White...ok (but then again you're a fan a Katy Perry, Devotion....). This is rich and creamy, funky, earthy, sweet, and seductive. I'm complimented often when wearing this one and the EDP. Mostly men. This is a boss bitch, fresh out of a warm salon, you just stopped at Chanel for pearl earrings with your Americano at 7am to complete your look, ready to go into a conference meeting fabulous and angry frag. She's sexy and she does Not date below her worth. Slam that empty paper cup down on the $50k conference table in protest, Woman! It is time to f sh up! We ain't taking no "white" sh today! (Whatever...that is...) We're alluring, persuasive, and make Moves.

It is phenomenal. The sillage and longevity are perfect. The scent so complex, chic and timeless. It is immediately uplifting and fit for professional environment. It is so good that every woman should own a bottle at least once in a lifetime. It eludes description. I feel peach, lemon but seemlessly blended into vetiver. It feels woody-sweet. Floral but je ne sais quoi. I think honeysuckle is big on me. It is beautiful and sweet. Radiates greatly off my skin for many hours yet I never feel it around the town. It has high class and inexplicable charm. It is both cold and warm. Serious and alluring. Perfect. I prefer it to the eau de parfum. In the morning next day the far dry-down smells like flowers.

I just received this for Mother’s Day without ever trying it before and I’m in love! My only gripe is that I wish it was a tad stronger and that it had better longevity. This is so beautiful/elegant/classy and easy to wear all year around especially in spring/summer. I love the versatility of this perfume and I could see it being a great signature scent. After loving how this smells, I found a vintage bottle and can’t wait to get it! Edit: so disappointed...after a few days of usage... the lasting power is incredibly weak. I can barely smell it after an hour on both skin and clothes. I love the scent of the fragrance itself, but it is super weak. I hope my vintage bottle will perform better.

Classy, elegant yet fresh and feminine perfume. A floral that dries down to subtle notes of vanilla and wood while remaining light and fresh. It's perfect for me as I am in the beginning of my twenties, looking for more complex, mature scents. I like the fact that it's not the most worn Chanel perfume (nowadays at least, I read in the comments that it was a big hit in the nineties !) and that it is so easy to wear. I prefer the edt to the edp which is more fruity (the peach is really strong for me in the edp) and feels more dated but both are wonders in the fall and winter. However I fear that the longevity and sillage are not that strong on my skin. But it lasts for days on clothes !

The only fragrance I purchased second full size bottle and probably the third and the forth and go on There's something in Allure that I can't get enough of, maybe it's a hint of vanilla that melt into my skin and became my skin scent but sweeter. I could sniff myself all day. This fragrance is everything I'm looking for elegance, classy, the feeling of cleanness and femininity that is not screaming for attention. If Allure is a woman she is a pretty woman who wearing a white shirt tuck in jeans, her shoes are pointed toe heels, her bag is Hermes Kelly her style is minimal but refine and elegance. when you see she walking down the street you'll know she's not typical girl.

I love my Allure. It's the most comforting one from the Chanel range, to me. The initial sandalwood note reminds me of Samsara, these are not similar scents, but my impression is as if an air of Samsara and Guerlain's vanilla was added to a classic Chanel profile. It is an easy reach, elegant in a way that elevates a simple outfit and compliments a sophisticated one. For a sensual, feminine woman, with a softer side, one who can set boundaries and generally evokes respect among others. A perfume that encapsulates the stage of life I am in, as a young woman, internally matured through professional and romantic experiences.

I recently blind bought a partly used vintage bottle. I actually didn't know the scent - until a year ago I haven't really worn fragrance for years, and Chanel was to grown-up and expensive when I was young. But I have - and love Allure Sensuelle edt - so I blind bought this. Oh, and I love it! It's hard to describe. Floral-woody - soft but also a bit sharp. Dry but with a gentle sweetness. Very classy. Very Chanel. I sprayed three sprays 12 hours ago and the dry down is still there - most of the flowers have gone and left sandalwood with a bit of amber, vetiver and vanilla.

I have a beautiful miniature of this perfume, very elegant, just like the Chanel mythe. This mini bottle with its perfectly elaborated details makes you feel to possess a magic potion. The color of the box and the perfume is in complete harmony with the scent. A light and fresh one to which floral accords brings complexity. And the last drops, vetiver gives the final identity to this fragrance. Interesting that generally my skin brings out easily sweet notes like vanilla, but in this composition I can barely smell it (at least on my skin). A subtle scent!

One of my all time favorites. I cannot even begin to describe how classy, sophisticated and warm it feels on my skin. I don't think I have ever had another fragrance that combines white flowers and vanilla in a way so balanced that no ingredient feels overpowering. I also get a very strong powdery vibe, at least on my skin, although there's no hint in the description towards that direction. It certainly doesn't fit all women and it's not a safe blind buy. I would recommend it for 20+ or 30+ women who radiate self-confidence and sensuality.

I am actually not sure if I am wearing this or the edp. Either way, Allure Sensuelle wins by a mile. Don't get me wrong, this is nice, but Allure Sensuelle is exquisite, it turns heads. I don't think Allure & I are meant to be. This is a grown up vanilla, subtle & warm with woods and hints of flowers & the veriest dash of bergamot & vetiver. It's very classic, but it's just nice. This has made me decide that I need a bottle of Allure Sensuelle EDP in my life, one of the rare instances where a flanker goes above and beyond the original.

An oldie but a goodie! This was the first perfume purchased for me by a boyfriend, back in 1996. I was feeling nostalgic and ordered a bottle off eBay and wow... It is exactly the same as I remember it! Soft but sophisticated, light on the peach, heavy on the sandalwood in the dry down. This is a totally different scent than the EDP to me. Much more alluring and close to the skin but I get wafts of this throughout the day that mesmerize and remind me that I am wearing this beauty. Such a unique Chanel scent. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful sensual floral composition with added vanilla. Very easy and pleasant to wear. I had a mishap with my original bottle by smashing it whilst dusting my perfume shelf. I thankfully found a great deal on eBay got it for a steal. I haven't tried the edp so can't compare suffice to say this beautiful fragrance makes me feel sophisticated and classy. I will never be without this beauty I love it. If you haven't sampled Allure edt give it a try it's a happy cheerful scent easy to wear. I'm sure it will get you compliments.

Confident yet modest, not too warm, cool, sweet, or spicy. I am biased however as I associate this scent with my mom as she would get in the car. The scent might too much for the office but is suitable for brunch & later in the day. The sweetness slowly fades but the base notes lasts all day on me. I can still smell parts of it when I shower at night. Would be considered a more vintage or powdery scent to those in my fellow early 20s. My go to scent for something with a little bit of spice.

First spritz reminds me of Dior's Dune before I'm surrounded by an aura of fabulous glamour, full-bodied beauty, the scent of wealth and ease in glamorous hotel lobbies and exotic restaurants. This is a breath of history and a marvel. It's a luxurious lemon-infused peach on opening, a seriously gorgeous swirl of florals in the heart & base notes providing the shivery resonance of a temple chime. I used to wear Allure EDT in 1997. Tested it today to check if any reformulations messed with it. This is still excellent. I frankly think that this is the Best Chanel of our times. Quintessential modern Chanel, so chic, so femminine, so distinctive yet discrete. Oh, I have to get me some 20 years later! P.S. Call me crazy but smelling the card strips of No5 EDP and Allure EDT TOGETHER, makes me think that layering Allure with a No5 Body lotion could actually work.

After 13 months I decided to give it another try. Quelle surprise! Creamy florals.. uncanny resemblance to an extremely well known Indian cream with antiseptic properties and sooo fragrant. Lovely .. unfurls better in spring. This is an intimate perfume and it occurs to me that this was perhaps intentionally done so as not to intrude in other people's space much. Very fresh citrus with quite a lot of fruitiness in the opening giving way to soft sweet florals

Gosh, but I love this scent. It's warm, soft, lightly tart, floral and sweet without being a sugar bomb. Feminine, classy, just lovely. I'll wear it for shopping, dates, parties, errands, house-cleaning, etc etc. Yes, I am a total Chanel fragrance fan-girl, and this is in my top 3 Chanel, if not the tippy top. I usually use 1 to 3 light sprays, and it lingers nicely. I can see that some might get a headache from this as it is somewhat on the rich side.

I agree with "angel has a problem". So odd but allure is hardly there. Except for some faint smell i get nothing. So so disappointed. Something must be off as I believe this is very very varying with skin chemistry: if it works i it would be fireworks and if doesn't then just a dud and I mean literally nothing. So weird From the notes got the impression of a 🔋 but actually an extremely light perfume suitable for spring summer

I am always amazed by how difficult it is to describe this fragrance!! This has that Chanel DNA plus an extra layer of sophistication. To me it smells like a high-end floral soap and something spicy. It’s like a chameleon, sometimes I’ll get whiffs of smelling really clean, floral and ultra fem, and other times I get whiffs of sexy and spicy oriental. I just feel so grown up when I wear this.

Allure is a classic very french scent but I need to be in the mood for this talc powdery floral it has a breathy skin almost sweaty note to it which can be sultry but also a little uncomfortable in warm weather. I get many compliments butt no not particularly love it myself. A nice addition to my wardrobe and a nice classy day time scent but personally for me not worth the price tag.

Chanel Allure (1999) - peach rose - #jacquespolge starts the perfume with bright citruses, puffs of powder and furry stone fruit. I sense this perfume is a play of textures and contrasts which I enjoy. This transitions to a chanel-ade of florals: Rose, Jasmine and Iris with an introduction of lemony Magnolia. Drydown is a comforting yet simple base of Cedar, white musks and Vanilla.

I really have no idea how Allure passed me by for so long I've been searching for a fragrance that reminds me of the Kerastase Nutritive range for years & Allure definitely fits the bill. It is clean (just out of the shower) & luxurious with all the florals I like. So we'll balanced with nothing screechy or cloying To me Allure is an incredible, timeless creation I'm smitten!

Allure. My love. My youth. The 90s. My 20s. Parties. Clubs. Alcohol. (lots of it!) Love affairs. Heartbreaks. Allure saw it all with me. One of the closest perfumes to my heart. So many memories. So much nostalgia. (good and bad) An absolutely beautiful scent that I will love forever. If a frag could be the sound track to your life. Allure would be mine. I love it deeply. ❤️

I always, always reach for this perfume on heavy rainy days or when the sun refuses to show up. There's something about it — warm, soft, and quietly alluring — that wraps around me like a cashmere blanket. It just fits the mood. Every single time. Chanel Allure EDT has been my favorite from the House of Chanel for 12 years. I’ve gone through 4, maybe 5 bottles by now.
