Coco Mademoiselle L'Eau Privée

Privee -- "Private" moments indeed. For the intention for which this juice is made, it is very lovely. Moments for when you just want to get cozy smelling tastefully and lightly scented with whomever you want to be cozy. I love it upon first application. I can smell the Sweet Mandarin and Grasse Rose immediately. The lush Jasmine I detect a few minutes later. There is no Patchouli in this which is ever present in the other formulations of CM. So if you tried the original but it had too much Patchouli for your taste this may be for you. Privee is a cloud of extreme femininity no doubt. This juice has a remarkable ladylike Old World feel to me. The Musk with the floral notes in this is what gives off that vibe I suppose. It is not the usual Musk here either which can make me choke a bit. This Musk is elegant and light. I can handle this. This formulation of CM which is an EDT is not that long lasting as some have said. I agree with that. It is about an hour to two hours. The sillage is gorgeous at first and not overpowering. It ends up staying within arms length then it seemingly vanishes. However, I did notice that when I get a bit heated up it peeks out at me again. I attribute that to the Musk and Jasmine. I rarely mention flacons because the juice is what really matters. However, the frosted bottle is worthy of mentioning. I bought the 100ml bottle and regardless of the size it is soft and feminine looking which is fitting for the juice within. It looks great on my vanity but stands out from most of the other Chanels I own minus Coco Noir. I appreciate Privee for the reason it is made. The composition is beautiful. This is not supposed to be strong. It is ladylike and understated. That is just fine with me and my love.

Amazing start, so refreshing, delightful and still soft and feminine. Ultra-feminity. Every time I wear any of the Coco Mademoiselle range I wonder why do I bother with any other scent :) I suppose, it holds more ingredients than listed, however fresh rose petals, a bit of jasmine, mandarin to make them sparkle, musk - I feel them. It does have a lingerie, cozy feel. Sheer delight. It does resemble the classic which feels wilder. The classic lingers till morning next day, making L'Eau Privee a bit redundant at bedtime function. I always loved the classic's soft dry-down after waking up. L'Eau Privee has quite a presence, I even feel it at the back of my tongue. It is very clean and innocent, I am giving it my private evening and night to charm me, though in my mind it would be just as good companion for a misty morning. 4 hours of wear and to feel it I must sniff my wrist. I applied it 6pm for a private evening, by the time I was going to bed at 11pm the fragrance was pretty much gone. It was not easing me into sleep. Too strong to apply it on my neck before hopping into bed, no persistence that would make me feel it around me. I still want this frosted glass bottle. But I'd rather buy the eau de toilette that I let go of since my eau de parfum fully satisfies me.

I tested this at Macy's and fell in love with it. It's basically Coco Mademoiselle without the Patchouli. I love both Coco Mademoiselle EDP and EDT. I went home and looked it up on the Chanel website. It did not say what concentration this was. I was curious as to whether it was EDP or EDT.***I called Chanel customer service and the woman was very emphatic that this was in fact the lightest concentration EDC version, closest to an EDT.*** *This is not an "EDP",as it's listed here. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful fragrance. However, it does not last as long as EDT or EDP, of course. This is definitely on my want list now, as it smells that good. I may even like it slightly more than the original, and that's saying a lot as I absolutely love the original. However I wish the price was less, considering it's not an EDP or EDT. ***Update-Edit: purchased. Its lovely, but very, very light. Body mist light. Actually, some of my body mists are stronger than this. I wish they would make this version in and edp or edt. This is a bit different than Coco Mademoiselle edt and edp, and Intense, as it doesn't have vanilla at all.

Love love love this! I'm not a huge fan of the original CM. It's not bad, but I've had my bottle for a while and have only wore it once. It's a little too "mature business woman" for me. (not old, just grown up) I got this because it's supposedly a lighter version of OG without the patchouli. That it is! It's lighter, sweeter, friendlier. Beautiful! I could wear this anywhere, it doesn't strike me as strictly office woman like the OG. As a side note, this is one of the most beautiful bottles in my collection, and I just love to look at it 😍 Haven't had it long, so I can't comment on sillage or longevity, but if I notice a problem I'll come back and update on that. Edit: okay longevity is not the worst, but it becomes a skin scent almost immediately. Stays close to skin for hours after. It doesn't project, so it gives off a vibe of "thats just how she smells". Like, your skin but WAY better. Ultimate up close fragrance. And omg... This is dreamy. I've had it for all of three days and can't imagine ever living without it. Have never fallen so hard for a fragrance so quickly in my life.

This is such a soothing scent for me. It's a sweet, soft embrace that comforts me for hours. I didn't expect it to last this long on my skin (about 6 hours, though it is faint by then). I even sprayed some on my arms before bedtime and smelled it faintly in the morning. Oddly, I notice it more on my skin and less on my clothes. There is no sharpness, no patchouli, just the soft and sweet notes from Coco Mademoiselle, with something deeper and even better added. I prefer Coco Mademoiselle L'Eau Privée EDP over the Coco Mademoiselle Intense EDP, which has too much Patchouli and vanilla for me. Coco Mademoiselle L'Eau Privée is my favorite of the line. The smell itself is very consistent after the first 10 minutes or so. It's complex and engaging to the senses. And it keeps me entertained to smell it. (I'm mostly bed-bound due to long-term illness, and sniffing perfumes is one of the few things I can do).

Softer, sexier, more intimate than the original Coco. I think they’ve chosen the perfect name to perfectly describe it. It’s sexy as hell but in a private, delicate and intimate way. Having said all that, I think it’s still a perfect daytime scent as well. It’s very feminine, classy and sexy but not in the in-ur-face, loud, arrogant way as its big sister. This one is more the silent observer, the one you think is too timid and reserved, only to discover she’s not 😉 and once you do, you’re in for a very sensual experience 😍 Update: It’s really irritating that it has such weak silage and longevity! I know it’s supposed to be an intimate scent but it’s price is completely unjustifiable given it’s abysmal performance. It’s a shame that it’s the best version in the entire line, yet it’s performance makes it less enjoyable and not worth purchasing.

It disappears quickly, but it is oh so good! patchouli tends to smell really heavy to me and can be a bit overwhelming. Due to the patchouli being almost non existent, I can really enjoy this citrusy scent and I LOVE IT! I have both the Coco Mademoiselle EDP and the Intense. They're both beautiful, but I essentially have to walk into the spray because they both can be a much for me. This scent is one that I'd bathe in if I could! The mist is wonderful, and it's very light (even weaker than an EDT). It's a bedtime scent, but I enjoy wearing it on casual days as well. If you're someone that doesn't get along with patchouli, loves Coco Mademoiselle's DNA, prefers fragrances with more intimate spillage, *and* don't mind the cost, I encourage you to try it. If any of these don't apply to you then it may be a skip.

to me this smells so much better than the original coco mademoiselle. the og smells more mature, like an old lady and I hate the patchouli in it. i don't like the og, too strong for me and not even my grandma likes it bcs to her it smells quite dated, boring, sickening. so you can imagine: not a fave in my family ahah. however, the leau privee is AMAZING. like, AMAZING. my favorite scent, smells so so good and addictive. sometimes I go and smell the bottle just because I crave the scent. perfect balance of fruity and floral without making it too juvenile, it's a very elegant perfume. i admit, lasting power could be better BUT it is a leau privee, not an edp. suitable for any age range tbh, from young to older and smells so so classy without smelling like an old lady. love it

Last year when this came out, I bought a sample online from Merceri and it was for sure fake. I just bought this at Macy's and WOW! First spray and first 10 minutes it's beautiful. It's Mademoiselle minus the patchouli and sharp screetchiness. So a soft powdery ambery floral and gorgeous. After an hour it's 100% like a skin scent of the matching men's cologne, if there was one. It's like you slept with your amazing smelling man, then after you got home you could still faintly smell *just* him on you. I LOVE it! And I'm not one for unisex scents. I like to be all traditionally girly, but this is just addictive! Try it at a legit place, if you hate it, it'll be a skin scent in an hour anyway. This brings my layering game to a whole new level.

For someone like me, who typically spritzes herself with Coco Mademoiselle morning, noon, and night, L’Eau Privée is like a bedtime gift direct from the Chanel Gods. When it’s time to cozy up with my partner, I now put down the precious EDP and douse myself (as directed!) in this far more intimate version of that holy grail original. It’s perfection: a delicate whisper of the EDP’s citrus-floral DNA. My wallet definitely wishes it were cheaper, but it’s become a staple in my routine I’ll never give up. UPDATE: It's worth noting that *every* single time I wear this one in particular, my boyfriend comments on how good I smell—and he, like most men, isn't always the most outwardly complimentary when it comes to fragrances.

I have *such* bad luck with Chanel scents... their signature musk/patchouli combo comes across as truly *grating*, almost like sandpaper at the back of my throat. But! I tried this on a whim, assuming it would be too harsh (like the OG CM) and wow - this is softer, prettier, and more wearable for me. By taking out the majority of the patchouli and focusing on the soft florals, while keeping the citrusy opening, this truly smells like a dreamy interpretation on the modern classic. I'm excited to get a bottle of this one soon - because it's so light, it'll be perfect for cozy intimate events where people are close enough to smell me and say "mmm you smell nice."

I adore this fragrance, it leaves me wishing it had endless sillage. It is easily the best out of all the coco madamoiselle fragrances, it is very lightly sweet & warm without being tired. I will be wearing this all year round. It's intimate & addictive & the jasmine really shines without being too floral. I think its termed an "evening" scent just because of the sillage, so no one expects to be wearing it out all day w powerful effect, but its not sleepy or overtly sexual & the mandarin introduces that citrusy sunburst that reflects more of a morning/daytime fragrance. I wish I could shut myself in a room w this fragrance for 24 hours & simply bask in it!

I feel like a lot of people are using this scent wrong. I have the standard Coco Mademoiselle EDP for daytime use, but this one is my special one... I wear it late in the evening after my shower, and breathe in the sweet oranges. I spray it in my sheets, in my hair, or on myself coating my bedroom in soft, pretty flowers before snuggling in bed with my husband to let it die down to a warm, comfortable musk as I fall asleep. It's an intimate, soft, sexy scent that isn't meant to be worn about all day thinking it will last you. It's something private, just for me.

I bought this accidentally, because I didn't know what Eau Privee actually meant. In translation, it's a private version of the original scent, the one you wear in your house, when you go to bed, like you wear it for yourself or for your partner. It is beautiful and sexy, and you feel like a million dollars wearing it because it reminisces silk nightgowns and expensive bed sheets. But you can't really smell it, it lasts like 15 minutes on your skin. I don't get the point, especially considering its price.

Je vois la vie en rose Retro vibes & a classy feeling. It can transport you to an era of elegance, while remaining modern and fresh. Suitable for any occasion and all ages, do not be afraid that it will be outdated or “grandmotherly”. This is perfect for a romantic girl, who reads old books in the candlelight before bed. At the same time she knows what she wants, she’s dedicated, but during the day she wants to be inoffensive. This one smells like the original, minus the patchouli. So it’s more subtle.

I tested it at a Chanel counter and fell in love at first whiff. I "suggested" it to my husband as my xmas gift (wink wink). The bottle captures the scent perfectly. It's feminine and sexy but in a subtle way. It's fresh yet comforting, like the first cool breeze of autumn. I'd love it as my signature perfume...BUT the lasting power is extremely weak, even when sprayed on clothes. Considering the price, it is way too much for a body mist that goes away in 30mins. My search continues....

This is so so good. Everything I wanted the Coco Mademoiselles to be - the fuityness and this wonderful DNA of the original but no vanilla and no loud patchouli. Just gorgeous! But: very very light....Please some decisionmakers from Chanel read this and make exactly this scent in a stronger version! I have always been wondering who needs a scent marketed for bed time? Just make a great fragrance and I will wear it day round (including for going to bed ;-) just applied lightly)

Blind bought this out of curiosity because I've always liked CM on others, specially when applied lightly, but not on myself (way too "I'M WEARING PERFUME!" and screechy). Happy to say I will be keeping this because it's the perfect CM for me. It still has the sparkle of CM with a hint of patchouli. This is a skin scent that lasts 8+ hours on my skin and even longer on clothes. Olivier Polge described it perfectly as a watercolor version of Coco Mademoiselle.

Not a fan of coco, or chanel fragrances tbh, but this one instantly grew on me. So soft and delicate while still slightly getting the "coco dna". Although not overpowering scent wise which is a plus point- the longevity sucks, Yes! I knoww its meant to be a bed time fragrance but I see it as an all day scent. Other than that this is a great scent for the office or maybe nurses as I've heard who can't wear heavy perfumes. Might be good in the heat

This is really pleasant. I'm in love with it. It smells soft and comforting, almost subtle. It's like, I can smell it all the time like it's a wispy little cloud of fragrance whooshing around me all the time. But it is not at all overpowering, or offensive, or too much. It doesn't give me a headache at all. The orange and the rose are definitely there. You smell the orange first, and the rose follows softly like a lover. It's great.
