Gabrielle Essence

Gabrielle Essence is a truly divine work of art. It is full of soul. It is at once inspired and inspiring. The opening of the fragrance awakens with the green citrus leaves of petigrain and citrus peel. The scent quickly moves to the heart where a gently sweet orange blossom enters next. The flowers tuberose and ylang ylang are introduced and then bathed in coconut milk which gently softens them into a delightful exotic essense. A sweet delicate jasmine then joins the bouquet as if hinted on the breeze. There is a faint nuance of peach and cherry with only a slight blackcurrent twist. These scents only add texture and enhance the flowers with a delicate sweetness but not overly so. The warm woody base of sandalwood, vanilla and musk holds the fragrance and keeps all of the elements alive in a dynamic, soft, balanced accord. This scent is natural and reminds me of a tropical forest on an island full of exotic flowers bathed in sunlight after a warm rain shower, delicately perfuming the air. The perfume is of the highest quality. Sillage and longevity are both moderate. This is natural and not forceful. Tuberose and Ylang Ylang can be strong scents and in many perfumes they have been used as powerful attention grabbers. I used to enjoy many of the older scents with these notes, but at one point they became too aggressive and I started avoiding the scents. I had the chance to smell authentic Tuberose and Ylang Ylang and they were much gentler. I was looking for the natural version for some time. I really appreciate how Olivier took the approach to use coconut to soften these flowers. The advertising campaign is angelic. I love the golden texture over the warm white with the soft swirling dance in a beautiful white dress set to the inspiring song Halo. This captures the warm delicate dreamlike aura of bliss that this scent delivers. The bottle is elegant and of the highest quality. The colour of the perfume is luminous and golden. The spray mechanism is gentle and offers a fine mist. It is the perfect companion for a natural woman who is quietly confident and does not need to grab attention with a loud perfume. This is for a woman who appreciates simple beauty and reflects it from her soul. This scent is for a warm, kind, compassionate woman who is full of integrity. Essence does have some similar elements to the original Gabrielle which I also own and love. However, this is a different fragrance and many will love this even if they disliked the original. The original has a sharper crisper tone, whereas this has a rounded and warmer tone. Essence is also slightly stronger than the original. It is also more unique. Although I own and love both, I prefer this one. With both versions of Gabrielle, it took me some time to fall in love. I was accustomed to stronger perfumes. Over time my senses have been retrained and now I reach for the delicate natural beauties first. I now struggle to wear strong perfume. After a few weeks of wearing it, I found myself only wanting to wear Gabrielle Essence. It is to me the most perfectly composed classy, classic and natural fragrance. It is unique, dynamic and full of soul. This scent is a symphony composed by a master composer. It dances with the senses seamlessly. Olivier Polge did a remarkable job in this gorgeous creation. Well done and thank you Chanel. This is now my favourite perfume. I love this radiant and captivating essence.

What a beautiful opening! It is the sweetest & fruitiest Chanel opening I've experienced. I love & wear Miss Dior EDP (2021) more often than anything else, and maybe my nose is just particularly attuned to it, but the fruity sweet opening of Gabrielle Essence is oddly reminiscent of the opening of my Miss Dior. I assume that is from the peach. The red fruits, peach, & ylang-ylang are contributing most to the sweetness at the beginning for me. It's a fruity white floral, with clear Chanel DNA, & hints of vanilla. I do detect the coconut - a milky coconut note, but so subtle it can be hard to catch. Even if you avoid coconut, this is still worth testing. The opening is by far my favorite part of this fragrance. However, the opening fruity notes do not last so long on exposed skin like my arms, but they will last an hour or two on the nape of my neck under my hair. When the opening dissipates, the citrus and white florals really stand out. It remains powdery & musky, again still with clear Chanel DNA. I'm still detecting grapefruit like in the original Gabrielle. In both the Essence and the OG, the citrus is sometimes slightly bitter like the rind of a grapefruit or an orange, but still pleasant. In the last hours of wear, when the scent is almost totally faded, you're left with a comforting, inoffensive powdery vanilla musk. Overall, like every Chanel I've tested, it feels quite mature, luxurious, & chic. And also, like every Chanel I've tested, when you smell someone wearing it, you immediately know it is Chanel because the Chanel DNA is so discernable. It gets bonus points from me also, because I love that the name Gabrielle means "God is my strength." And that saying is very personal & meaningful to me. Comparison to original Gabrielle: The first time I tested Gabrielle Essence in Dillards, I loved it immediately. A few weeks later, I went to test a second time but went to Ulta... and somehow I got Essence & Gabrielle mixed up, so I tested Gabrielle thinking it was the one I had tested in Dillards. I liked it, but didn't love it. It was sharper, less sweet, more floral & fresh. I thought maybe it wasn't actually as great as I had remembered. But another few weeks later, I thought I would give it one more try, but this time went to Dillards to test again. They only have a tester of Essence at my Dillards, so I realized immediately that I had mixed them up. So I tested Essence once more & again LOVED it. It is most definitely an improvement on the original Gabrielle.

Gabrielle Essence Chanel (Store test) I am walking with my perfumer friend, the creator of Loa fragrance. And he point out this scent. We just test out MFK APOM2024. I found my gem here, please my Fragantica friends, test this aside MFK APOM2024 before purchase. I will soon snag a bottle of this. ---- Note regarding the scent after test Gabrielle 3 times. (7,8 &10Sep) on September 10, 2024. I just can't shake this scent off. If I can explain it just a whip of Floral (Jasmine and Orange Blossom) / Fruity (Berry) in beautiful manner. Before all collapse to soft sweet powdery amber within 45 mins post wear. This powdery amber and Chanel Aldehyde have slight cooling tint. It clean and clear, a bright yellow smile without complication. :) Ylang later on merge with powdery amber in soft carnal sweet stage. This is where I like this. I will wear this more like cologne manner, the non-descriptive clean scent, something for quick grab, Generic message but it is the most balance Generic one that can't be ignore or look down, This make to be like, hedione rich fragrance, I like Gabrielle Essence for that. Still, A firm like for me. ===== I retest Grabby.E and by the end of the scent. It just have nothing for me no more, same as Enigma... yeah.. I drop both Enigma and Grabby.E. from my collection... ===== I think I finally come to known that.. By Falcon, scent and everything. This meant to be alternative line for those who can’t stand the sour woodiness of Patchouli. You just might not old enough to enjoy. The strong woody backbone, also it might feel slightly.. not clean.. and also it could be so sweet And too powdery (in amber manner)... And Chance is too young for you. Here you have it “Grabielle” However, even Grabielle is nice and soapy clean With a bit of everything and sweet more mature ambient with Chanel’s aldehydic, Jasmine and powder in so right ratio. Grabielle actually construct in 90’s fragrance manner. It’s a classic blue print with nice modernize twist (Elizabeth Aiden), It’s just can’t go wrong. But Ylang, Sandalwood, Jasmine and Rose. You. Could find this mix so often it’s a perfect quadrant and a nice touch of no.22’s tuberose. She is modernize woman who follow her mother step but with a trendy twist. Can’t help I am easily enjoy it.

Gabrielle Essence is glorious! I am a huge white floral lover and it is here in a very potent yet feminine way. The most abundant to my nose being Tuberose. I was kind of skeptical when this was first introduced to be honest. I love the original so I was not sure how different this would be given the notes. It seemed the two would be so similar. I was so wrong. The original Gabrielle has a heavy Sandalwood accord which I love. Essence has some too but it is not at all heavy. The original also has heavy Grapefruit and that is nothing for me to complain about. I find it uplifting. Grapefruit tends to be sour and that is what it does in the original.. Essence is sweeter though not super sweet and decidedly different. I am smelling Mandarin. I find this makes Essence absolutely rapturous and more playful than Gabrielle. Essence is from the onset a huge White Floral which cannot be mistaken. The Ylang-ylang is here as a compliment. It grounds the other white florals gracefully. I also pick up more Musk than is in Gabrielle which is not overkill as it adds depth. The Peach and fruit are also adding an interesting "fruity" dimension to the composition I find. The most noticeable of which is the Peach. The Coconut is also noticeable giving a nice creamy, tropical dimension. It is not strong but just right. The Vanilla is soft and buttery too adding to a creamy facet to the composition. Essence has that very Chanel-esque "wow" factor. I am so glad I bought this. Thank you Chanel! The longevity is longer than that of the original. The sillage is a bit more opulent as well. So if the original Gabrielle may have not been for you, this may just be. A great addition for Chanel and a nice compliment to the original I find. Gabrielle Essence is a 10+ in my opinion.

I actually caught the coconut note. Not initially but on blotter hours later. Think it’s gives a slighy buttery exotic volouptuousness to the fragrance. I need to resmell all the Gabrielle’s but this was my favourite on first impression. I sprayed the Leau and I have a feeeling that will really grow on me as I do like light ethereal scents.... We shall see. Edit: Okay, been retesting all 3, I know them all now without looking at which is which. The essence is prettiest, but heavy white/ yellow floral which I think could become tiresome for me as I enjoy fresh scents the most. The ylang ylang is so heavy and I’m not a tuberose fam, maybe I could be but l’interdit really scarred me. The original really grew on me and is very multi-faceted and probably the classiest. The Leau is so very light,but is airy and still classy and I detect the berries and enjoy that sheer lightness. I really used to think I didn’t enjoy Chanel fragrances but I guess age really does evolve you. I do have to admit they are classy. I feel quite generic as a person. Olivier polge is clearly great at what he does, so I can see the appeal of all these fragrances now. I do detect the same dna, it’s no wonder because all perfumers are artists in their own right. I’m wondering now because I know i’m a fresh girl at heart maybe I should head in the no 5 Leau direction.........hmmm.

I CANNOT believe that I haven't reviewed this yet, WoW! I absolutely adore this fragrance and the House of Chanel! I have been blessed with a vast collection of fragrances--well over 250 bottles. I can say with ease, Chanel Gabrielle Essence is in my top 3 faves that I have in my collection. It is classy, elegant, and fits my particular lifestyle perfectly. I purchased this as a treat last July, along with several other Chanel products, and a charming Dior lipstick. I layer it with a glittery Gabrielle Essence body cream--words can not express how heavenly these two complement one another. The white flowers and musk, bellow sophistication! I wear this mostly on special occasions, but will wear it whenever, wherever! It is a subtle, lady-like powerhouse! Not for everyone, but is very special to me. Longevity and sillage reign supreme, and the bottle looks so good and affluent coming out of your handbag! I wore this the day before Mother's Day to an early dinner, the cemetery, grocery store, and a swanky hotel. My daughter did my makeup for me on that day too. Gabrielle Essence was perfect for this occasion! Not a safe blind buy, but a wonderful gift for the lady who can appreciate it!

I have L'interdit on one wrist/arm and Gabrielle Essence on the other since I've read that these two are similar. For me, they are quite different even though they have similar main notes. Gabrielle Essence is much fresher, almost aquatic. But it's still a fruity-floral-woodsy scent. For me this is a summer scent even though it still has that sort of cotton-y haziness that wintery perfumes exude... But it's because I just can't do super fresh, citrusy perfumes at all. Also, Gabrielle Essence is more soft-spoken whereas L'Interdit is a beast with sillage and strength. I think this is a great blind buy. It's not cloying while also smells high quality and unobtrusive (people may smell it, but I can't imagine any of the scent accords being so strong that make people grumpy). This is simply a really nice, lovely perfume. It makes me feel peaceful, like the first warm day in Spring when you realize that the harshness of winter will soon be over. I may have to add this to my small collection because of how different, clean and clear it is from the rest of my atmospheric musky scents.

Ohhh I can't choose between buying Gabrielle or Gabrielle Essence for spring. Gabrielle to me is fresh juicy floral, Essence to me is a round warm floral. In Gabrielle I smell the different notes, in Essence they are more blended together. I usually choose a fresher perfume over a sweeter one but with this perfume I just dont know which one to get. Will use up both my testers and make a choice. I definitely enjoy the sunny opening of Essence more. Lets see how it dries down. Update after 1 hour: somehow in the drydown Gabrielle gets more round floral and fruitier. The florals and warmth in Essence seem to disappear a bit on my skin and it turns into a more of a sandelwood fragrance. After 2 hours: Gabrielle turned into a pleasant soft fresh fruity floral and has become rounder than in the official first spray. I smell pear and jasmine Essence has got its initial warth back on my skin and the peach and ylang ylang have become more prominent. I love both but the Essence is so dreamy, sunny and warm! I think this is the winner!

While I can't vouch for its longevity, if you aim to present yourself as a powerful, chic, and distinctive woman, Essence should be your top pick. It's essential to note that the fragrance of Essence differs from that of EDP. Overall: 9/10 یک عطر زنانه شیرین با رایحه های گل بسیار خوشبو و خاص. به شخصه چنین رایحه ای تو هیچ برندی ندیده بودم. خیلی خاصه و شیکه. مخصوص افراده که دنبال یه عطر خاص و لاکچری میگردن. پخش بوی زیادی نداره ولی وقتی اطرافیان اون بو کنند قطعا عاشقش میشن. اگردنبال عطری هستین که آقایون رو جذب کنید قطعا یکی از بهترین هاست و اگر دنبال یه کادو خاص هم هستین بدون تست مطمین باشین که عاشقش میشه. فقط دقت کنید گابریل اسانس رو بگیرین نه عطرشو چون بوهاش کاملا فرق داره.

Office safe, soft white floral with creamy fruits and a hint of vanilla. There was a time where I didn’t really gravitate to this scent profile, but as my nose has evolved I’ve come to appreciate it so much, and I’ve always enjoyed Chanel. I prefer Essence over the original mostly because I like how the vanilla rounds out the edges of the flowers. I haven’t smelled the original in a while, I only remember that my nose was too overwhelmed at the store when I tried to test it, so I could barely detect it and I passed on it. The Gabrielle scent profile is very personal-projecting: you really probably only detect this up-close to the wearer. A wonderful option for a mom to be a signature scent for their children to know them by for its subtle warmth and elegant sweetness. You can easily wear this to bed. Again, this won’t fit everyone’s personality, but I think if you give it a chance, you could come to enjoy it as I now do.

Never thought I'd have a chance to try any of the Gabrielle's, but thanks to a kind fragrantica user I now have a sample. I'm surprised, but I love Essence! I have a strange relationship with Chanel- I never seek their fragrances, always expect to be whatever about them because they are generally not my style, but end up loving every single one I try. I can't really pinpoint notes here, but it's a beautiful classy composition. It's fruity (in a perfumey way), flowery, bright, sparkly like champagne. Very sophisticated, in the same style as Mademoiselle. Don't throw tomatoes at me but it also reminds me of Lancome Idole's rich older sister. There's a similar zesty watery sparkliness here, which makes me think of rose but it's not listed in the notes. It smoothes out after a while and citrusy zest moves to the side bringing more attention to the flowers and red fruit/berries. I'm very impressed

Was so pleasantly surprised testing this after receiving it as a christmas gift from my grandma. i didn't know what to expect but it is such a sophisticated scent that i am so glad i now own. as someone who loves a niche fragrance, I can appreciate how approachable this one is while still having a lot of character. it smells like old money without being antiquated or nauseating. reminds me of what a hollywood starlet would have worn in her free time during the golden age of cinema. also reminds me of the perfumes my mom's rich friends would've worn back in the 90's. gentle, floral, feminine, and slightly soapy but balanced out by the fruity notes. i feel like this is a classic everyday scent that can be worn year-round. moderate projection and longevity so i can't complain. price tag isn't astronomical either, so if you want to smell like luxury this is the fragrance for you.

Edit 30 may: Gabrielle and Gabrielle essence are the last two fragrance I purchased. It's been 2 months since I last bought a perfume. Maybe once u find "the one", it cures the "hoarding hundreds of perfumes" curse haha. Edit: I got the 100ml as well!! So happy! I think I have found the one. This is the one. She is perfect. Tested a bunch of the fragrance at the counter. Had them on paper strips. Went back home and the only two that I liked and that lasted was Coco Noir and Gabrielle Essence. I just got a 50ml bottle of this yesterday and I'm in love. I have quite a few bottles of white flower fragrance but this is a perfect combination of white flowers. The jasmine doesn't dominate, and the fruits makes this modern and fresh. It's the perfect amalgamation. This is elegant, modern and timeless.

This perfume is like sunshine in a bottle. It's beautiful, warm, and radiant. It's not my favorite of all time but I do like it very much. It's inoffensive and very elegant in my opinion. It lasts for a good bit of time on my skin - unlike Coco Mademoiselle which fades VERY quickly. Coco Mademoiselle and Gabrielle Essence don't smell anything alike, by the way. I do love Coco Mademoiselle but it fades so quickly when I spray it on my skin that I don't see the point in buying it. The same thing happened when I sprayed both these fragrances on test strips. Gabrielle Essence lasts much longer, so there wasn't any question about which one I was going to buy. Gabrielle Essence won by a landslide. Too bad because I might have loved Coco Mademoiselle a little more if it lasted longer.

I went back to the Chanel counter today to spray this for a second time and I am in love. I wore tuberose in my hair for my wedding and I'm forever chasing that scent. This is hands down the loveliest tuberose and jasmine scent I have found. Yes, the opening has me reaching for memories of other perfumes but the dry down is just so elegant and luxurious. A fresh, warm floral that makes me think of golden beaches and sparkling sea and that catch-me-if-you-can scent of flowers on a summer's night. The first time I tried it I wished it projected a bit more, but this is such a personal scent for me I'm happy for it to stay close to my skin. I added an additional spritz this time and it was all that was needed to give it a boost. It's going to the top of my Chritsmas List.

Fragrance-wise I live in my snobby little niche rabbit-hole, and needless to say this is never one that I would even look at. But.... my mother has fallen in love with it and I find myself chasing her around just to catch the sillage of this beautiful formulation. It's not an original scent profile by any means, but it's beautifully blended, clean and feminine, super elegant. I can see the comparisons to J'Adore, but it's so Chanel-esque that it really is very different (I hate J'Adore). Considering getting myself a little bottle or at the very least stealing some sprays from my mother's. What can I say? Sometimes you go to an ice cream shop with hundreds of flavours but all you really want is vanilla. Office appropriate - perfect for a successful professional woman.

One of my favorite Chanel perfumes. It is elegent and i do think it helps me channel my Rich Bish/Boss Lady/ Professional energy. But lately, I love layering it with Musk 12, Vanilla 28, and Utopia Vanilla Coco 21 by Kayali. It is good w. Musk 12. Musk 12 and Vanilla 28. It is good with Utopia 21. Or even with musk 12 and utopia 21 It is a little too flat for my nose by itself idk why but i dont notice it evolve over time to give the middle and base notes time to shine but it is still a beautiful perfume. It just opens up nicely when you enhance the white florals, vanilla, musk, and/or the tropical coconut/ylang ylang notes! Ohh and it would pair beautifully with Shaghaf oud by swiss arabian !! Does anyone layer this with anything else?

3.4 oz bottle reviewed. What makes this fragrance truly special? It doesn't have that signature Chanel patchouli in the base—thankfully! The fresh, fruity opening is delightful and airy, yet the quality shines through with every note. The floral notes are beautifully defined, with the addition of seductive ylang-ylang and creamy coconut steering the fragrance in a captivating direction. It's a unique twist, yet still approachable—not at all avant-garde, but undeniably intriguing. The base of musk, sandalwood, and vanilla provides a solid anchor for the fragrance, adding warmth and depth that beautifully balance the lighter, floral notes It's a charming composition that feels refined and luxurious without being overwhelming.

Oh my God, do not listen to the Chanel snobs. Pine?? No way!! This is the fragrance that will keep Chanel afloat. It is a gorgeous white floral with a touch of coconut and jasmine just so beautiful. I Want to take a bath in, drench myself in this fragrance!!! it is gorgeous fresh and noooo vintage vibes. people wake up! Chanel has stepped into the modern times. Finally !!! this scent is absolutely beautiful . Chanel‘s best next to Coco mademoiselle.. however, it is nothing like Coco mademoiselle.. it carries its own distinct scent, white and yellow florals so if you’re not a fan of those, you probably will not like it . but it has Chanel all over it. It is so beautiful..

Thick, gorgeous, cream velvet gardenia perfume; accented with exotic ylang ylang, jasmine, & burst of a whole fuzzy peach & feather-light touch of coconut. The musk here feels so pure, clean, fluffy and white; definitely not the harsh, screechy aroma chemicals found in modern musk-containing fragrances. Sparkling clean -- like the most luxurious, expensive laundry. The other listed notes don't stand out to me -- they're impeccably blended. If you love gardenia, peach, and clean laundry smells, Gabrielle Essence is pure perfection. A lovely, elegant, and versatile quality perfume. Chanel makes the best florals, hands down. This smells like heaven and all the angels.

It smells very nice upon first spray, but that dry down! It's gorgeous. This fragrance is softer than the OG Gabrielle, but it smells "fuller" or deeper to me. Normally, I would go for the pink pepper in the regular version, but this one just smells better balanced. Other than the Chance line, I think this is the Chanel for people who struggle with the Chanel DNA. I was sitting in a large hotel lobby when a couple approached me, dying to know what I was wearing. The husband said "It's amazing! Just, oh my god!" The wife said they could smell it when they walked in, and they were blown away. When I told them what it was, the husband said ,"Write that down!!"

I have this as a sample is included on my Coco Mademoiselle purchase. At first, I tried spraying this on my jeans jacket upon leaving the boutique, yet four days later someone can still detect the scent on my jacket. DANG. I don't care if people say that this smells like a grandmother. This smells gorgeous. The powdery white floral heaven really opening up subtly. At first I thought that the performance was weak and this is more of a skin scent but I was wrong. People truly smell this hahaha. As the perfume dries down, the yellow floral and a hint of woodiness envelops your skin and it lasts for...ever. Probably going to buy this the next quarter.

This is pure sophistication, bottled elegance with a touch of warmth. I find it soft, creamy, and radiant, like golden hour on the skin. The citrus and peach in the opening feel juicy and luminous, and then comes the heart .. rich ylang, coconut, and orange blossom that give it this luxe, sun-drenched floral vibe. The base of sandalwood and vanilla is smooth and addictive, never too loud but impossible to ignore. I get compliments every single time I wear it. I love this one in the spring! Very classy, clean and floral, very sunny sort of scent. I'm typically not a fan of Chanel fragrances, so the fact that this is not your typical Chanel really does it for me. You can definitely tell it has the Chanel DNA, but it's a lot more mild and unique. I've been on the lookout for a Chanel fragrance I would like, only because my late grandma used to wear Chanel 5 and it was gorgeous on her. When I tried it on it was headache inducing and really not my thing. So I'm so happy I discovered Gabrielle Essense, now I feel in a way connected to her when I'm wearing it!

I don't like white florals in fragrances in general, especially now when brands like to just overpower you with them. But this is done SO WELL. The combination of white florals, musk and sandalwood is just so well crafted. And it lasts!!! - a huge plus for me, as I tend to eat the perfumes alive. I liked it and I did buy a small bottle of it to enjoy. Office friendly, basically anything friendly. I didn't necessarily smell any citruses in the opening, which is fine of course. I highly recommend to test it, even if you are skeptical of Chanel recently... Effortless, signature scent worthy creation.

I like Coco and Coco Noir, but only when they finally in the dried down final phase. I guess I'm not that refined yet to wear the vintage ones, because they simply stinging in the nose at the opening. And I believe that for the price tag, one should like all phases. Which is why I chose Gabrielle Essence to be my first chanel. It's pleasant and classy from the beginning and funnily enough, I have the feeling like the olfactory notes are in reverse. The fruits and flowers come first and then I can detect the citruses but without the stinging quality. Looking forward to wear this every day!

This is simply pretty. So pretty!! Spectacular? No. But light, chiffon-y, and sundrenched. It makes me think of those first warm days of spring, when coats are thrown off and we go for a walk in the park. I love it, but for a little bit I couldn’t place where I’ve smelled it before (and I have not smelled Gabrielle). Essence is exactly like the earlier Les Excusifs 1932, before it changed to an EDP. The EDT was so charming, light and fluffy, and the EDP is too sharp and heavy, and too green. If you miss the edt of 1932, then Gabrielle Essence will make you VERY happy!

This is a very classy white floral with an even balance of the different floral notes. If you're scared of ylangylang and jasmine being too heavy and yellow, they're not overpowering at all and adds some nice complexity to a white floral. It's not cold smelling and the musk is not predominant, but makes it clean. I can get some of the berry and peach fruity top notes but not so much of the citrus, but the fruitiness makes it lively instead of corporate like- if that makes sense at all. 10/10 favorite white floral of all time

I wore Gabrielle Chanel Essence all through the holiday visits with family and kept getting compliments from Mom and Aunt, who are both very particular about their scents. They said they loved smelling it on me, so I think this one is a crowd pleaser. It is an easy-going, smooth white floral without the grapey/bubblegum blast of tuberose that is in so many fragrances today. I dont think I could ever tire of it. Sometimes I layer it with Elle Saab Le Parfum and it works beautifully on my skin. A very strong like.

I have no idea why so many people call it "old lady perfume". I can imagine almost everyone using it. This is fresh, well blended fragrance. It has very good lasting, even on my skin - and my skin eats perfumes like crazy. Fragrance itself is nothing groundbreaking - it is leaning feminine white floral. But tbh - how many groundbreaking fragrances are there? How many we need? I am a bit tired of recent trend of vanilla and lolly pop smells and this one is classy, lovely, and all seasons beauty.

Chanel Gabrielle has such a timeless, classic feel to it. It somehow smells very much like old Europe to me. And I associate going to museums, old libraries with gorgeous neo classical architecture and the delicate odor of old leather bound books on the dark cherry bookshelves. I imagine fine silk scarves, beautiful beige gloves and a classic black purse with a metal clasp on top. Somehow I feel very comforted and reassured, unhurried and gone back in time. I miss that time!

I find most Chanel scents to have quite similar DNA, I can recognise them in a heartbeat. Gabrielle Essence is no different - to me it’s a smoother, sunnier Coco Mademoiselle without the strong patchouli. I prefer Gabrielle Essence in the spring/summer and save Coco Mad for colder weather. This is the favourite perfume among my closest friends - I think I’ve gifted four bottles of it so far, the latest being to myself. Everyone comments that it smells luxurious.

This is my second bottle, what I love is I feel like I am a unique person, no ones around me wearing the same perfume like I do and it really match with my personality. But I can't deny the silage is not so strong and it last not too long. Then because of the price, I can only wear it in the morning mostly, and just let it stay on my clothes for the rest of the day. Even thought people might not be recognize this perfume scent, but at least I didn't smell bad..

It keeps me feeling fresh, classy, and girly. Nothing about this perfume is super overwhelming, which is why it is so great for daily wear. It definitely suits a corporate feel.

This scent just smells rich, feminine and confident. Lovely florals, soft musk and just an amazing blend. You can feel the Chanel DNA with a youthful, classy twist. A must have for that spring, quiet luxury feel. Great projection, crazy long longevity! I wore a top just a couple of hours and hung it back in my closet and could still smell it 3 weeks later every time I opened up my closet. It lasts at least 12+ hours on my skin.

If you are looking for a gift for a girl or mom and want to give a beautiful, understandable and wearable Chanel that will sound expensive, but not pretentious, without any vintage, grandmother's chests and other hidden niches, then pay attention to Gabrielle essence, this is one of the most beautiful white-floral and caring fragrances in the women's suite, which has gone beyond the last 5-6 years. Mom will thank you.

Softer and more delicate than the original, this is such a beautiful, elegant fragrance. It screams money and sophistication to me. I do like the OG, but this one is my dearest, maybe because it’s solar and I love this type of fragrance, but probably because the elegance in it transports me to Paris, dinner time, champagne, jazz, pearls and freedom, much freedom. This is Gabrielle in all her essence!

Oh, how I love this scent. So delicate, so feminine, so understatedly powerful. With this on, I feel classy, yet bold. Strong, yet girly. I am generally not a white floral fan, but this has a musk that takes it to the next level. I love that the tuberose comes through but doesn't overwhelm. It has the Chanel DNA without feeling dated. It's just elevated and simple in a boss babe kind of way.

This is a good one! Loooove the first few minutes. It mellows pretty quickly, and as others have said, it’s similar to J’adore but softer, which I like. I love J’adore but dislike the harshness of it, so this is a good alternative! Not super original, but fresh and pretty. A good go-to any day when you just don’t want to think too much about what to spray. An uncomplicated, trusty fragrance.

For me it's a clean laundry scent and I love it! It kinda smells like a mix of soap bar and fabric softener (in the best way possible) - it's a very floral/flowery and clean fragrance. I love the scent of fresh laundry so this perfume is perfect for me. I adore it! If you like smelling 'clean' - this is the right fragrance for you. A very beautiful, almost addicting scent. Highly recommend.

Really uplifting and energising. In the opening the most prominent notes are citruses. I don’t notice the fruits. This is very closely followed by the white florals. I think the ylang ylang is very prominent. For the drydown I can’t comment yet but I think this is very well balanced and could please most people. I wouldn’t mind having a bottle to cheer me up in the long dark winter days.

Warm, bright, and sexy, definitely feminine in my opinion! I love a fragrance with strong projection, and I’ve actually had people say they could smell me before I even walked in. The sillage is noticeable, but it never feels heavy or overwhelming. It works even on hot summer days. I imagine a confident woman wearing this. I’ve loved it ever since the very first spray <3

If you layer this with soliel Cristal from lveb it kills the old lady vibe At first husband did say it smelled like a mature scent and then I sprayed soliel Cristal over and he was intrigued. Husband approved combo I initially loved this and gave it a raving review However , I'm getting an allergic reaction to it which sucks but it'll be getting returned unfortunately 😕

I love this scent SO much. For me it tops Mademoiselle and Chance, which are close 2nd and 3rd. I feel its Soft and Sexy, a "Rich Aunt" vibe. Old money vibe with a personality. I hung onto a sample for months until I finally bought the full bottle. Id say its a safe blind buy. Go smell this at your local shop right now. This is your sign to pull the trigger!

My signature fragrance, I am running low on this - need to repurchase! I am worried if they ever decide to discontinue this fragrance. I've had it since 2019 when my bf bought it for me for xmas. I never want to be without this one, even tho I have many fragrances now. This makes me feel confident, gives me comfort and makes me feel refreshed.

This was an impulse buy for me at the mall. I love it!! It is going into fall and somehow this works! I can smell it all day and it is just wonderful. Sometimes tuberoose is too much for me but this is floral without the headache! So beautiful and rich. Just a total love.i swear i get something amberish.

For me, this perfume smells like soap, lotion and clean laundry. A white floral explosion, mixed with fruity notes and citrus, interlaced with a slightly bitter quality that I can’t place, which gives it some maturity and elegance. Quite lovely in an understated way. Signature scent worthy.

Like most Chanel scents, I have a hard time picking apart the notes in this. The best way I can describe it is chic, bright, airy, and demure. There is a slightly powdery note that leans vintage, which may be why some people feel this is dated. But I personally find it well balanced.

This scent is so lovely and sophisticated. Not too heavy, not too light. Just perfectly blended white florals. This is a fragrance I could see a modern Audrey Hepburn wearing - elegant and chic but not loud and in your face. This is an easy reach for everyday. Just gorgeous.
