Gabrielle Parfum

Gabrielle Parfum represents the pinnacle of Chanel's Gabrielle line. Launched in 2022 as a more precious and intense interpretation of the 2017 original, Olivier Polge has sought to distill the very essence of "solar bloom". Unlike Eau de Parfum (more sparkling) or Essence (creamier), Parfum is a dense, rich and velvety composition. It is a bouquet of "ideal white flowers", deepened by woody and vanilla notes. This has Jane Austen written all over it. You're reading one of her many great books, completely captivated by such great literature. This perfume has you wanting more and more. Like the pages of a great novel, it draws you in. You are ELIZABETH BENNET, wanting to be yourself. Wanting no more than to LOVE and be LOVED. Each spray is a “You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on." Mr. Darcy meets CHANEL. This is a field full of flowers, confessing your love in the rain. Love at first sight, in liquid form. It knows neither PRIDE nor to be PREJUDICE. This is ardent admiration and true love. Velvet floral, orange blossom, pages of a romance novel and lots of spice, was my first impression. That later turn into a delicious vanilla and jasmine milk tea with cinnamon and lingering notes of marshmallow, banana and gum... Smells delicious. I’M IN LOVE. The dry down is everlasting, it's a bath tub full of warm milk, fresh flowers, RUM (not too boozy) cinnamon, and gum (juicy fruit) to be exact. I LOVE IT!!! This is one of those perfumes that boosts your confidence and make you feel beautiful. Great for daytime but much more romantic at night. I don't promise you a love like theirs, but I do promise you will smell amazing and very much feel loved. P.S. Mr. Darcy NOT included. BISOUS

I'm surprised at how much I love my little sample of Gabrielle and the dupe of it (Dossier's "Floral Ylang-Ylang" — not listed here on Fragrantica.) I didn't think I cared all that much for tuberose, ylang, or even sandalwood. But both the original and the dupe smell delicious! So sweet, flowery, fruity, warm, and comforting. I just want to keep sniffing my arm. Like the Dossier dupe I have of Marc Jacobs Perfect, the imitator seems more rich, well-rounded, and longer lasting on my skin. The notes for the Dossier version are quite different. They seem to be more in line with the 2017 version of Chanel Gabrielle. TOP: Lily, Grapefruit, Blackberry MIDDLE: Ylang Ylang, Tuberose, Jasmine BASE: Musk, Orange Blossom, Orris Maybe that's why I prefer the duplicate. While I love jasmine and orange blossom, maybe the lily, grapefruit, blackberry, musk, and orris add a lot to the musicality of the fragrance's melody. Anyway, even if I'd never smelled the dupe, I would've loved this pretty fragrance.

Copied from “what perfumes make you feel powerful” I wore Gabrielle all throughout my last year of high school. I was preparing for the most important day of my young life - the a-levels. I was wearing my crisp ironed uniform and a sweater underneath - just like the British kids. My shoes were black leather oxfords with a slight heel. Everyday I would brush my teeth and spray a ton of Gabrielle on myself. I was a prefect, a team leader and graduating with distinction. I felt proud and I felt capable. Gabrielle would always remind me that I’m someone with conduct and pride. I’m proud of the high school me. Hearing Gabrielle makes me feel like I’m wearing ironed clothes, like it’s early in the morning. When I wear Gabrielle my anxieties disappear. I’m prepared for the unexpected and I make people around me proud, I’m making excellent choices

My friend collected two testers at a department store and gave one of them to me. I fell in love with the scent from the very first moment I sprayed it on my skin. Determined to buy a proper size bottle, I discovered the prices and realised that it was an expensive buy. I waited a few months for my tax return and then bought a 30 ml bottle. I could use it every day, yet try to make it last for as long as possible so I alternate it with other scents. It is lasts all day long after just one brief squirt on my neck in the morning. I find the scent to be alluring, transporting and relaxing. I love its unique floral composition which is strong, yet subtle at the same time. Magic!

This is gorgeous! It’s the warmer, less fruity, more sophisticated version of Gabrielle Essence. Whereas Gabrielle and Essence are the younger sisters, Gabrielle Parfum is the chic, confident, older sister who the two younger ones aspire to be. Yes, this parfum is ridiculously expensive. Essence is my signature and I wear it often. It works for any occasion and is an easy reach when I can’t decide what to wear. I’m really glad to be able to add this to my collection but will probably save this one for special occasions.

A beautiful Chanel perfume - it does have the typical Chanel DNA but in a less offensive way than No.05. Less baby powder smell and more white floral with some zest. A beautiful fragrance a bit on the more heady side so I only wear this at night time. Seems a bit much for day time. It truly is a stunning fragrance. If you found No5 a bit too old lady like definitely give this a go it’s a bit more fun and youthful than no.5 but more mature than say Chanel Chance.

I have both the Gabrielle Essence and this pure parfum. I think that the main difference is that pure parfum is more flowery, less musky and the longevity is doubled the Essence. Sillage is the same. Beautifule money smelling luxurious scent, like a rich, wealthy woman in silk blouse. I find that men likes it very much on a woman better than the heavy sweet caramel perfumes! I like to wearing this in all year aroud but in the summer heat it is too much.

Chanel Gabrielle Parfum (2022) - jasmine tuberose - The perfection of the Gabrielle range created by #olivierpolge . Big and dense florals, Jasmine, Tuberose and Orange blossom are meshed with radiant White musks, Honey and Vanilla. Though created just recently, this smells vs. 80s that can easily accompany greats such as Loulou and Poison. Well-constructed with incredible transitions. Bravo Mr. Polge and one of the best I’ve smelled in 2022.

She works as an associate at her daddy's firm. Every night, she enjoys soaking in the tub with a glass of Malbec, reminiscing about her younger days when she'd hang out at rooftop parties in Rome in a short dress, a male blazer, chunky boots, and diamond earrings she discreetly borrowed from her grandmother. Back then, she would laugh heartily, sipping Negronis, and proudly proclaiming that she will be working in the fashion industry.

This is a beautiful fragrance. Sophisticated and great for everyday and special occasions. I looked for a long time to find a fragrance with jasmine, orange blossom, and ylang ylang. This is it! Beautiful soft dry down without getting powdery. This has become my signature fragrance.

Suitable for all occasions, it is all day wearable perfume and never feels overwhelming

This perfume is nice and definitely better than Chanel's Gabrielle Essence perfume, but I find it a tad too heavy on the sandalwood. It's also very strong and perfumey smelling, where I can't detect each of the notes from each other. I would have loved to have smelt the white and yellow floral notes more, but they were smothered here and only shone briefly... I mean, I can smell just how high quality this perfume is, but it still doesn't blow my socks off. Plus that price tag of $498 AUD for a perfume of this size (35ml) and for something that isn't amazing, it's extortionate! I would be happy to spend that much if it were amazing, but it isn't... The longevity was also just average at 5 hours and I found this perfume a bit too strong smelling for my liking honestly. It's too bad that I still can't find a perfume that I like from Chanel other than their Gardénia EDP. Nevermind!

Gorgeousness and gorge-osity! A beautiful feminine floral composition that is not "too much of anything" its pretty and projects well and sits well on the skin and lasts quite well too. The bottle is lovely nice and clean minimalist looking the liquid is a satisfying colour. I wore it to work and could smell it and I wanted more. The beginning is floral and quite silky smooth and pleasing my mind jumps to Red Door by Elizabeth Arden and Beautiful by Estee Lauder but l can smell the Chanel stamp an expensive smell that has Chanel perfume DNA. I wouldn't say its life changing and going straight to the obsessive favourites list but it's a feminine joyful scent great for summer its fresh and clean l dont get dense vanilla tonka powder vibes with this its strictly floral but in a velvety smooth way not a fresh forceful blast of flowers like some are. I give this perfume a 9/10.

Why do I think that this smells like Allure used to smell like before, when it was stronger? Anyway - Gabrielle Parfum has that distinct Chanel counter fragrance. It's floral and very "perfumey", I quite like it actually, but the pricetag is deterring.

I don't care for the original Gabrielle or its other flankers, but Parfum version is beautiful. It's very much reminiscent of Isabey's Gardenia or J'Adore L'Or version. Classy, softly vintage, timeless, very elegant.

A honey-floral aroma; very homey and comfy. Nothing breathtaking, but it is a satisfying scent. Certainly compatible for every day life. I wouldn't expect anyone under 30 to wear it.

I thought I smelled a bitter fruit in this one. Must be the ylang ylang. Beautifully blended, just a little piquant for my taste in florals.

She's an easy introduction to the world of chanel frags. But it didn't last long on my skin or clothes so not a repurchase for me.

Love the brand. This scent is fine as usual. Nothing special and way over priced for what it delivers.

In a way it just might be Chanel's J'Adore. But it is similar to Jour Hermes.

Soapy floral. Sweet. Not bad, but I would not purchase this one.

Very pretty on the card. On the card, I prefer this of the three Gabrielle formulations. On skin, two sprays were abysmal in performance. Could NOT smell it at all unless pressing nose to wrist after the first 30 minutes. And after a few hours I could barely pick it up even then. And they want 3x the price for this tiny bottle? Pass. Not for me. This was disappointing because like I said, the scent on the card is actually very lovely and versatile. Also interesting to note, it just did not smell as good on me, personally, as compared to the card. Try before you buy, even if you like the other Gabrielle’s, in case just like me it somehow just doesn’t perform on your particular skin.

Gabrielle for me is a weak, boring scent and very disappointing one. There are a lot of great perfumes from Olivier Polge. Unfortunately this is not a success

So I’ve never smelled another Chanel except my grandmas No. 5 like is likely 50 yrs old. With that, I’ve never thought much of it, and have no previous experience. My son is named Gabriel, so i thought “aw! I’ll buy this. It sounds like a fun buy” So I did. I like it. It’s strong, like I like, and it’s not too intrusive ( which is good for me, because I’m a waitress, with a heart for intrusive perfumes.. It’s very average smell. A smell anyone could wear with no real complaints. It smells citrusy and floral, but I don’t get an exact smell from anything. It’s blended great. I don’t really have any complaints. While I don’t think it’s too unique either. If I was 12 I’d think this is how all perfumes smell. It’s like the basic back drop of all perfumes floral or citrusy. That’s all I got. I hate to call anything Chanel “basic” but if people are looking for a basic floral/ citrusy perfume. This is it. It stays on all day. The dry down is exactly as the first spritz. It’s just as it is.. all day. Nothing big, or unique. Just a good perfume.

"Gabrielle" line feels very much like the belated answer of Chanel to Dior's "J'Adore". I am not a fan of either of these perfumes but, from Chanel in particular, I did expect better. The "Gabrielle" parfum is a common place approach to the "parfum" theme. All I get is a strong gardenia/tuberose smell that develops to a nice complex base as hours pass by. It is not bad by any means, but giving emphasis to a white flower for the parfum version instead of creating something marvellous shows a lack of imagination. Also, I have the impression that the main character of the "Gabrielle" smell is not here as prevalently as it should for this to become a real classic and to support the rest of the line as well. Having said that, I like it enough, and I wouldn't mind a bottle but, if you want a "Gabrielle" with (some) true character, I think that the "Essence" version will be your only bet. -IΩΝ

This is an extraordinary special edition of Gabrielle! It is one of the strongest parfum extraits ever created by Chanel in my opinion, one or two sprays are lingering in the air for more than 24 hours! To me this is an amalgam of beautiful solar scent chords, like a symphony of harmonious scents! It did remind me of the second reformulation of jadore by Dior at the opening, even the ghost of vintage diorissimo by Dior, that solar Lilly of the valley accord, but only as moving frames taken from an olfactory movie! This is a masterpiece of cinematic olfaction! Olivier Polge showed his true heart as an artist/ musician and perfumer! I respect him!

I keep trying various iterations of this scent, hoping to discover 'my' Gabrielle; but so far, I haven't found her. Gabrielle Parfum opens very perfumey, because the ubiquitous white flowers are mixed with some late 1980s/early 1990s-style aldehydes, which are not listed in the scent pyramid, but they're certainly there (think of scents such as EA Fifth Avenue, or the very first version of Dior J'adore). As it progresses, Gabrielle Parfum becomes sweeter and sweeter, until we're left with a genuine sugarbomb in the drydown (that's the combination of ylang-ylang, tuberose and vanilla for you). Not my thing.

My coworker smelled so increadibly good. She smelled like a fresh sparkling flower to my nose. So I HAD to ask her what perfume she wears. It was this! I cannot even put into words how gorgeous this smelled in the air. Fresh. Flowery. Sparkling. Just sooo amazing. I mean mind blown!!!!! NOW I made a review on this a few years back and complained how boring this is. NO this is absolutely heavenly especially in summer. It blooms.

The Extrait of Gabrielle is just magical. I have tried all versions of Gabrielle before and they are good but this is on another level. The ingredients are top notch. The florals are very creamy and the aldehydes give it its effervescence. The sandalwood is very well blended and gives this such class and makes it more long lasting. I get over 10 hours of wear on skin. This is a hidden gem from the brand.

It’s classy, though the opening is very heavy on jasmine and orange blossom. Can seem a little generic at first, though after an hour it transforms into a much better scent - sandalwood, ylang-ylang with a hint of fruitiness, without the sharp jasmine. I feel like jasmine would perform better as a middle note. To sum up, can’t say the perfume is bad, it just seems to be missing something.

This is what Gabrielle edp should’ve smelled like in the first place. While it’s not a different smell, it smells way cleaner, higher quality. The EDP and essence smell muddled somehow, not very well blended, all the notes are turned up super loud. They are fine, but if you are a big spender and have the funds, this is a beautiful version of it.

Finally I found what this masterpiece reminded me of! The pure parfum of Gabrielle by Chanel reminds me of a more concertrated formula of Jadore L'Or by Dior 2017, another masterpiece by Francois Demachy! Yes, that's it! It is truly beautiful ❤️ I love both scents! A Remarkable olfactory experience...

To me, this one is the sweetest, most fruity Gabrielle, which is why I like it most along with Gabrielle's lines. Amazing sillage and longevity. Super diffusive. Anosmic. Beautiful. Do not wear it before you eat something.

if not for the price this would be my everyday scent, but this is lovely to wear on a special day. i have lots of memories with this fragrance, really beautiful feminine luxurious scent.

Received the 100ml as a gift but after smelling it in store, it was a bit too sweet for me. If anyone is interested, it’s unopened and i’m selling for £100/€115/$135! Just send a PM :)

It should have been done in the Essence since it's a much better seller than the original, also it should have been a 3.4 fl oz at least as the Bleu Parfum pour homme.

This is a relative of Cacharel Eau d'Eden, and that is one of my favorite fresh, pretty florals ever. It's not a dupe by any means, but captures the same spirit.

This is a mood booster. Confident leo-vibes and youthful. Unlike the typical powdery grandma-esque scents of Chanel, this one is full of energy.

Hunting Mercari... smelled it in Sephora. Loved it. But I don’t want to pay retail

Classy and sexy! I like wearing it in the evening or on special occasions.
