Tiare

I recently bought this at the Saks Fifth Avenue in the Galleria Mall in Houston and I'm just in love with it! This fragrance is so smooth, white floral, feminine and non-cloying. I don't think that it would offend anyone, to be honest. Tiare by Chantecaille has a very easy and breezy summer time vibe and I could imagine it being great to wear at the beach or at a nice party by the beach during the day, being something that you could wear either while dressed up or especially dressed down. It could be worn in the spring time too for sure, but it is definitely more a summer time fragrance. The notes of the reformulated version are actually now mate leaves, tiare flower, bergamot, orange blossom, mimosa, ylang ylang, heliotrope, woods, amber and vanilla. I only get a hint of the green notes at the start, but I'd say that this perfume is definitely more about the tiare flower in all of its soft and sunny glory. The mimosa is then the next most prominent to me, followed by the heliotrope and then the woods. I smell a hint of orange blossom too, but not much. And then the other notes just blend into the composition, being undetectable to my particular nose and sense of smell. Wear time was a solid 7 and a half hours on my skin and I got a moderate sillage from this perfume. The bottle of Tiare is beautiful too, just like the other fragrances by Chantecaille. The bottle is made of clear glass and has a beautiful strip of floral design on the front and the cap of the battle looks like a crystal ball from a chandelier. The only downside for me is that this fragrance is slightly overpriced for what it is, though I do have to say that it smells very high quality, naturalistic and not at all artifical smelling. It is still mostly worth the money though and for all of these reasons, I'd give Tiare by Chantecaille and 8.6/10. Just beautiful! I only wish that Frangipane was available to buy too, since I loved that fragrance even more than this one.

Chantecaille Tiare is NOT a sweet Gardenia by any means & I love where it takes me..an island life I once lived and enjoyed... This Tiare by Chantecaille wears for several hours on my skin. Blends like magic with Sacred Wild Divine's (Aromatherapist Vanessa shoppe on Etsy) with her "Nectar", "Love", "Rose Water" and "Midnight Jasmine" Natural Perfume oil blends... Have been realigning with my original Holistic background versus the Synthetic side of the perfume world and am seeking out perfume companies that have been going in the more natural realm. Through my background of Holistic studies and living a more Mediterranean lifestyle I have been clearing my body care products, perfume collections etc back to a more Natural Alchemist Botanically made life. So Viva la natural to Essential oils, Flower compounds, Hydrosol's etc... Still learning and relearning but be it known that the perfume industry is misleading and lying to us and that the synthetic's are major hormone disruptor's among many other elements in our environment which everyone is becoming wide awake on. I completely agree with ChiKitty's review of this perfume, which fits with my experience of it as a beautiful white tropical floral. I also love your description of "catching the scent of a nearby garden from the balcony of a Hawaiian resort" - exactly! Would also (see ChiKitty and kimberleylizkenn) not classify it as an oriental; a glorious cloud of heady white florals. I tried a sample and am definitely going to buy - I love this perfume! On my skin, long-lasting and moderate sillage.

I could tell I smell lily of the valley right away, it makes tiare smell so much classier, there is no usual pungency of the tropics. The scent reminds me of Cavatina by Dusita a lot. I would even say this is more lily of the valley perfume than it is a tiare perfume. I was smelling this with my friend and we both noticed the same thing. Softly soapy, classy, elegant, natural, beautiful smelling white floral combinaton. Could be bridal.

Spectacular, a garden of white fresh flowers. My friend and I snagged a few squirts at the Chantecaille counter in the TST Sogo store in Hong Kong. Intensely beautiful and feminine. There’s no shampoo or cigarette smoke that we could discern, although I understand how fragrances smell so different to different people. It was ridiculously expensive at the store, around AUD$285 for 75 mls, so we will be hunting for an online bargain.

This is an amazing perfume and I was looking for such for a very long time. I agree with many of you that it is also very expensive but I love it so much, I will buy it anyway. It is tropical but not sweet and it is what makes this perfume so unusual. It is a nice bouquet of fresh and feminine floral notes. Tiare, lily-of-the-valey, ylang-ylang, jasmine and orchid, they all are intensive but at the same time subtle.

Wow for the first time in love with top notes. I usually hate all the top notes of most of the perfumes, I only go for middle and base. Also I’m not a flower scent person. But this Tiare and Lily of the valley smells amazing. Those floral scents are not heavy at all , light light, no cloying, just beautiful.

I absolutely LOVE this perfume!!! although it is very expensive, I was able to find a roll on version in a cute little blue case, on Ebay for $45 dollars.. I really, really, love it, i am trying to save it, but it's scent is intoxicating to me <3

Very feminine and very floral. Long lasting and strong. A light touch is best. I like, but not in love with. Would not buy again. My daughter took it! She likes it better.

Gorgeous. The dry down is just as beautiful as the top notes. No musk or sandalwood, thank goodness. Expensive, but large bottle.

I'm so glad that I didn't read the previous reviews for this perfume before going on my own to smell (and eventually purchase) it. I think it's a beautiful white floral, but not an oriental as its currently classified here. I can smell the tiare flower and lily-of-the-valley most distinctly, while the rest of the flowers in this composition sort of meld into the background. It is strong and you don't need to apply a lot, and on me it has good staying power and moderate sillage. It feels very feminine, elegant and exotic to me - like catching the scent of a nearby garden from the balcony of a Hawaiian resort. Probably since tiare flower generally does not debut in most of the other perfumes in my wardrobe.

This was my late mother's signature scent and therefore holds a very special place in my memory. The bottle is beautiful and the scent is very good as far as perfumes you can easily buy at the mall go. Not much to say about it that hasn't been said. This is in no way unisex. Strictly feminine perfume that screams 35+ and New York-style high society class. What's unique here is that there is no sweetness. So, it is a white floral, slightly tropical, slightly dry, unsweet fragrance that lets the pure Tiare flower do the talking. Good wedding day scent although this could come across as slightly screechy to some in the first hour.

This is such a pleasant floral. It is a 100% floral, and even though I am not a fan of straight up florals, this is one of those very few pieces that I would actually purchase a full bottle of. I find Chantecaille perfumes to be of great quality. The fragrances smell very natural, and this one specifically is one of those natural smelling flower perfumes. It's like you're burying your nose in a very fragrant bouquet of beautiful white and pink flowers of all kinds, all fresh and beautiful.

The Lily of the Valley comes out strong at the start, but settles down & melds nicely into the rest of the notes over about an hour on me. I initially didn't like this scent based on how strong the top note is, but it calms down & becomes a more pleasant floral scent with time. It's not a scent bomb, but definitely has a presence.

Like getting hit full in the face with a Lily-of-the-Valley bouquet by a slightly drunk bride during the reception. Calms down, thank heaven, as the bride is cut off, and lasts right through to the last dance. I could still smell it on my skin after a shower, though in a nice, not drunk way.

Chantecaille is a master perfumer in a League of their own. Their perfumes r Unforgettable but not this one... to me, this, along with Le Wild, are among their utterly forgettable. Just, too screechy I guess. Even Vetyver, their least liked and unpopular smells like diamonds...

It starts out quite cool and sophisticated but then it warms up like burning flowers, dry but smoldering and beautiful. I especially like the red rose in this - it's warn and sensuous.

I don’t own this perfume so not a real, thorough review based onto proper usage. I did test this, however, as I am very fond of tiare. This is no tiare - instead you get a lot of lily of the valley which for me usually ends up screechy / chemically smelling. Will not be spending money on this one.

This one has me running in both directions, to and away from it! Presently, it is away from. Sharp start which does settle down after 15 mintutes or so. Do not get much bergamont here (which I love). Middle notes dominate here. The musk and vanilla barely raise themslves over the florals. Overall, I find it a bit synthetic. Very femme and while it harkens one to a tropical island vacation it is not one for an extended stay! Sillage and longevity both solid.
