Le Charmant Absolu

Released in 2015, this scent was conceived to the conquest. In its entirety of gourmand feature, it was made to convey strong personality and delicacy, at the same time. Its composition brings notes of honey, spearmint, and cypress, in the output; Cupuaçu and ylang-ylang, in the heart; Sandalwood and patchouli, in the base. Le Charmant Absolu won me over in the first spray. On the skin, the sweetness of the honey combined with the freshness of the spearmint results in an incomparable scent. The camphor nuance of the cypress, underneath that sweetness, ends up generating a soapy accord. Sometimes, it's hard to believe that there's no musk in the composition. The evolution continues and we have a floral heart, which is full of fruity facets. The cupuaçu is best known for its fruity nuances that can remember pears, pineapple, and even green fruits. The ylang-ylang is known for having indolic nuances and, sometimes, fruity facets (remembering the smell of bananas). On my skin, with regard to the note of cupuaçu, I feel the nuance that resembles a pineapple. From the ylang-ylang, I notice a powdery-floral. Finally, the base brings a very discreet sandalwood, tying the composition softly. Le Charmant Absolu turned out to be a pleasant surprise that showed me something different than I've ever experienced so far, which brought a white-floral very enjoyable for men, since most of the white-floral fragrances, rich in notes of jasmine, frangipani or tuberose, end up smelling more feminine over time. Having said that, I don't think this is a gourmand fragrance, as defined by its creator, but a floral-fruity with a slightly woody base, which has high projection during the initial 2 hours, softening and becoming powdery and closest to the skin over time, remaining for more than 10 hours, thanks to its Eau de Parfum concentration. As the name says, this is an absolutely charming perfume.
