A good chef must be a great cook and also a skilful artist to make a strong visual impression with any dish they prepare. The fragrance community demands the same. We all want a divine scent in the perfumes we buy, but appearance is also very important. The brand's signature begins with the presentation of the bottle and box. Charriol is a Swiss luxury watch and jewellery manufacturer founded in 1983 by a French entrepreneur, Philippe Charriol. It produces expensive fashion jewellery, watches, accessories and fragrances. With this kind of history, you'd expect beautiful bottle designs, as we all already do in the case of Bvlgari, Mauboussin and Lalique perfumes for example. All the Charriol bottles I own are very elegant, and Charriol Pour Homme EDP is no exception. Philippe Charriol, a lover of art and history, was the first jeweller to use braided gold cables, or steel cables, as decorative motifs. We can also see this influence in perfume bottles. It's a truly masculine design with a strong presence. The bottle is square, solid and powerful. On the sides, it features steel cable motifs, the Charriol signature. The bottle is a pleasure for the eyes! Philippe Charriol was also a racing car addict and in 2019, aged 77, he died in a tragic racing accident on the Circuit Paul Ricard racetrack. This perfume develops a seductive allure through its spicy sensuality and masculinity. The perfume is spicy and florally sweet, on a frame of amber and leather. It opens very spicy with a soft earthy black pepper and massive cinnamon, bittersweet and sensual. The jasmine becomes evident with a narcotically sweet chord, which blends perfectly with a dark, animalic, almost pungent leather note, typical of well-crafted cured leather goods. The floral and spicy sweetness, together with the fine leather, last until the final phase. The fragrance now reveals a masculine woody blend of vetiver with a warm, sweet and balsamic amber. The drydown is all about this amber frame, ensuring the sweet notes mingle and an almost faintly enchanting leather. This fragrance shows some similarities with the 1 Million family - particularly with 1 Million Privé - but has its own individuality. With three sprays on the skin, the performance is above average. The fragrance lasts up to 8 hours with a silage of 5~6 feet and a reasonable projection for 2 hours. Ladies really like this fragrance and it's very suitable for an elegant party or going clubbing. It attracts a lot of compliments. Recommended? I recommend this perfume provided that you like masculine sweet fragrances. Blind buy worthy? It's better that you don't blind buy it. Try it first. Much better than 1 Million to me so I'm dubbing this one " 1 Billion"! A truly masculine bottle with instant presence : square, solid, powerful. The center of the glossy black lacquered bottle is adorned by a luxurious gold plate engraved with Charriol’s name. The rectangular black cap is bordered in glossy gold. On the sides, sculpted in the black glass, the famous steel motif cable, Charriol’s DNA. The fragrance opens a bit sweet and spicy with the Jasmine, Cinnamon and black pepper leading the way after 30 to 45 minutes the leather and amber take charge for hours while the teak anchors the base until the end. Longevity on me is a solid 8 to 10 hours with awesome projection of a good 3 to 4 hours. Scent trails are still evident through the dry-down. The fragrance develops an irresistible seductiveness, appealing through its spicy sensuality and sensitive masculinity. Great fragrance. Highly recommended.

I got a huge compliment the first time I wore this! The first person I approached while wearing this told me that I smelled really good and even asked me what it was almost instantly. I was a little blown away because the room was big and they smelled me pretty quick. This stuff does project a great deal but no need to worry because it smells absolutely great! This house is totally looked over sometimes. I wish people would talk about their fragrances more. Charriol is a great house from what I've tried and read about. I would like to try more from them in the future. I highly recommend Charriol Pour Homme for compliments and standing out and getting noticed in the evening or night. This is similar to PR 1 Million but stronger and a bit darker!

Charriol Eau de Parfum Pour Homme Charriol for men in my humble opinion it's the best by Charriol that I encountered so far ( the leather with Black Paper & Cinnamon ) are really making wonders on my skin , every time I wear it I fell simply Rich. Scent : 9/10. Longevity : 10 hours. Projection : 5 - 6 hours. Bottle design : Marvelous & Mysterious.

Charriol Pour Homme EDP opens with a moderate projection of sweet, spicy, resinous, and woody notes. The opening is aromatic, oriental, warm, mature, but not classy, and pleasant. The cinnamon found in the opening notes creates a spicy and sweet opening, making the fragrance feel ideal for mild or cold weather, the black pepper isn’t as strong as the cinnamon, it is there to accentuate the cinnamon and to enhance the initial projection. At this point, the fragrance comes across as moist but this stage lasts just for a moment. As time passes, the fragrance gets drier and drier. A leather note comes up making the fragrance feel nocturnal and mature. The leather found in this fragrance is noticeable but not animalic, although does not feel natural and it tilts a bit to the synthetic side yet it blends well in the fragrance. The jasmine balances the spicy and leathery notes with a light white floral touch, however isn’t as noticeable as the cinnamon or leather that so far are the featured notes. As the fragrance transitions to its dry down, the amber make the fragrance feel very dry and slightly powdery, it adds a resinous and sweet touch that blends with the leather and cinnamon, and boost projection. Finally, the teak wood is just a support woody touch, not prominent but there. The fragrance has some minor but noticeable opening to dry down changes, the opening is pepper-projecting, feels moist, and spicy-sweet. The transition to dry down occurs relatively fast, bringing the leather, and amber to the same levels as the cinnamon, the fragrance turns dry and slightly powdery and the amber becomes the boosting accord. Once Charriol Pour Homme EDP has reached its full dry down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, mildly sweet, resinous, leather, and cinnamon fragrance with pepper, white floral, and woody accords. The fragrance feels bold, casual, comforting, cozy, dark, dense, dry, leathery, masculine, mature, mild, moderate-quality, modern, mysterious, nocturnal, resinous, rich, spicy, sweet, slightly synthetic (particularly the leather), warm, and woody. I'm a bit confused by the rave reviews about how much of a projection monster this is. Baffled frankly. I bought a new bottle yesterday. Put it on for the first time today, and was in public within 30 minites of spraying...nothing. The people I see every day that always comment on my fragrance didn't even notice this one. 30 minutes and nobody could smell it. I sprayed some on a freshly laundered t-shirt before I left also and now, several hours later...nothing. The scent is amazing if I cram my nose against my skin but there is no projection and it's already dying down on my skin. Scent 7/10 Projection 1/10 Sillage 1/10 Longevity 3/10

This is a beautiful fragrance, certainly not a clone of 1 Million. Sure it has a similar vibe because of the cinnamon, but it’s much more than that. The Jasmine gives it a floral touch with a slight powderness, but nothing over powering or at the forefront. There’s a sweetness to the fragrance, that’s beautiful and not in the least cloying. The pepper gives it a spice that becomes less prominent in the dry down. As time goes on the leather appears and adds more character to the fragrance. Great composition. If you like the 1 Million vibe, but want something more mature and sophisticated, this might be a good one to try.

sampled this today. and wow ! 1mil with a different vibe. Leather leather and leather. im not a fan of leather, but this one is pretty well blended. not my cup of tea though. but still.. Hats off to Charriol ! Scent : 8 out of 10 uniqueness : 10 out of 10 ! Projection : its LOUD ! 9 out of 10 ! Longevity : pretty much will stays for quite sometime. Try before you buy.

Remembers 1 million, but better. More complex, less sweet. The teak wood is probably the ingredient that makes the difference.

I fully agree with Cid1204. Clone 1 million, but less sweet and cloying. Not bad.

A very sweet, One Million-type fragrance, but not an exact copy. For me, the real challenge is the strong animalistic accord, which I can hardly call "leather" and find very unpleasant. It reminds me more of the smell of muddy, smelly boots. Horrible. It's unwearable for me. The original One Million isn't my favorite either, but much better than this. Don't waste your money.

This one is a cheaper version of 1Milion by Paco Rabanne! Very synthetic, low sillage and unpleasent sweetness. On my skin is about 1 hour, after this - nothing! Im not agree that this one is better and stronger than original Paco's million...no, no, no..this is only cheap unsuccessful copy/paste...

Purchased this today and absolutely love it.it has a pepper and musk smell when you first spray it and 30 minutes later a rose smell comes out.im not a fan of rose smells but this one is very sweet and not pungent like how rose really smells.10 out of 10.amazing frangrance.

This is one fragrance I love. I also have the gold edition. They are both compliment getters, great projection and lasts very long (at least 12 hours on my skin and way more on my clothes).

Got a sample for my purchase of Royal Leather. I prefer Royal Leather by a mile. Top notes are not my fave but middle and base notes are nice. Definitely better than PR one million

Today i tested 1 million parfum. This Charriol is similar 99% with paco rabanne 1 million parfum, just a little bit more intense.
